Overnight Open Thread – Welcome to the New France

According to the Left if you don’t want immigrants coming in and making the place you grew up into a foreign country with different language, customs, and laws, you are a racist.

Apparently, the rising water levels from all the snowflakes melting because of Trump’s election have brought on a dreaded case of Globus Warmus.

  2. Underwhelmed says:

If the people of France do not rise up and reject this, they deserve everything that’s coming to them.

This article explores the relationship between breastfeeding and identity in lesbian-identified families based on a pilot study of qualitative interviews and a short survey of six lesbian families in Canada and the United States. Although breastfeeding is assumed to be “natural” and a biological function, we problematize the practice as both gendered and heteronormative. In our research we found that breastfeeding has a complex role to play within the construction of one’s identity as a mother, of one’s gender, and of one’s sexual orientation. These women’s experiences offer interesting insights into the nebulous boundaries of biology and the ways in which assumptions about what is “natural” are actually social and cultural constructions.

Home from dh’s annual golf club Christmas Party. Why we always end up at the maintenance shack with the grounds crew and their moonshine based bowl of Foamy Licious Nog and not remembering the drive home, scary. Going to pass out now. Merry, Merry…. ❤

Just how WRONG these goons were and they appear to *genuinely* have believed themselves.

They were definitely in the done deal zone. Then wham bam slam you ma’am!

      • My eyes and ears told me Trump was gonna win or at least make it really close, but the experts kept telling me I was wrong.

It turns out they were wrong. And they didn’t even see it coming.

        • swanspirit says:

I probably said this before, but what convinced me he had a real possibility was the size of the crowds at his rallies. I still don’t understand how they could have been so disregarded. But the media wanted to believe their own bs, I guess.

        • Jadzia says:

I have a friend/colleague from SoCal who falls into the “you’d never believe she’s a Trump supporter” demographic and kept telling me that he was gonna win. I’ll never doubt her again!

          • Lulu says:

I was one of those. And I had to keep it secret. My husband, children and close relatives thought I was crazy. NOW they want me to predict the stock market, oil futures, commodity prices and real estate market. I’m working on the real estate stuff. Prices will go down (rental and non-new build residential but commercial up) in areas that will be affected by the reverse migration in the next few years. I have no clue about hog futures but exports for various ag stuff looks good.

          • Jadzia says:

Ha ha. I am just psyched about the incredible strength of the dollar–I get paid in dollars but all my bills are in euros, so I’ve gotten a nice little “raise” since the election! When we first moved here a dollar was worth about 66 centimes; it was 90-ish before the election; now it’s 96. Any predictions for what’s going to happen with that after Inauguration? Ha ha.

I was sure things were going our way when hillary cancelled her fireworks display. 🙂

When Comey made the first declaration about the investigation I knew he, the FBI, etc were not afraid of Obama/Clinton anymore and that was because she was going to LOSE. Then I was sure.

“The real problem is not Trump. The problem is the big, spoiled, sulking babies of the left who cannot believe that America made up its own mind instead of following their orders. They are the control freaks, not Trump.”

    Useful info:
“The Mouthwash Listerine May Help Treat Gonorrhea”

“Listerine was first invented in the late 19th century, and as early at 1879, manufacturers claimed the disinfectant was effective at both cleaning floors and curing gonorrhea.

Now, 137 years later, scientists have published the first ever randomized controlled trial testing Listerine’s gonorrhea claim in the medical journal Sexually Transmitted Infections. The verdict: the bad-breath mouthwash does indeed kill gonorrhea bacteria, both in petri dishes and in people’s throats.”

This is the kind of thing that ticks me off. There is no need for this kind of petty crap. And someone should really lose their job, they don’t deserve it.
The metro smart cards for Hussein’s inauguration had his name and picture. Trump does not get the same modicum of respect. I would love to find out who is responsible.

Poor John and his first world problems. He had a friend who knows how to build a house from the foundation up, down to the last drop of paint, and all of the electricity and plumbing in between; but he threw him out because he disagreed with his politics. O well.
      Can’t polish a turd.

    • Lulu says:

Genius buys a money pit. How many times have I heard THIS story? I bet it was an “interesting and quirky” hole when he bought it and didn’t have it inspected. AND the plumbing is shot. LOL.

About that “funny” Arabic speaking guy on the plane. He should be in prison.

    • Lulu says:

Must keep a beautician specializing in hair removal/grooming fully employed. I bet he has a really bad uni-brow. Look at his tweezed to death “straight-edge” hairline.
