Is Our Media Learning?

No, they’re not.

I caught a bit of the local news tonight. One of their top stories was Trump sticking to his claim that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton. He has offered no proof to back up his claim except a study that Democrats claim has been discredited.

But that doesn’t matter. Just ask Scott Adams.

Just like with the crowd size thing, the media is gnawing on it like a bone. And each time they repeat the story they say “Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.” Over and over and over.

“Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.”

“Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.”

“Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.”

With enough repetition, low-info voters eventually soak in “Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.” And all the media has to “debunk” the claim is people (Democrats) saying “Nuh-huh!”

“Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.”

“Nuh-huh!”

“Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.”

“Nuh-huh!”

“Trump says that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton.”

“Nuh-huh!”

So much for “Hillary won the popular vote!”

Sorry to be OT on first page, but this is too cute!

  2. Oh, it gets better. The media called for an into the matter to Sean Spicers face today. So now THEY are calling for the investigation. I’m pretty sure Trump will oblige, since they asked so nicely. Lol

No, they haven’t learned anything. All their continual bashing and I saw where Rasmussen has Trump’s approval at 57%.

If there were to be a recount, like there was in Detroit, I am quite confident there would be extensive voting “irregularities” uncovered…illegals, dead, multiples, machine “malfunctions”, etc. good thing that recount was called off.

I’m working my blog on my Jan 19-21 Trumpalooza experience, it may take a few more days, I’ll share the link when it’s done. 😉

I just sent this note to President Trump, seeing as Obama didn’t take the opportunity.
Dear President Trump. Congratulations on your resounding victory. It was gratifying to see you move so quickly on the two entangled pipeline issues…Keystone and the Dakota Access pipelines. With respect to Dakota Access, this would be an incredible opportunity for you to meet with the various Native American groups and individuals involved in the recent protests. What a once in a lifetime experience to sit down with them and discuss the possible options that might benefit their concerns as well as the energy needs of our country. Many of us hope you would consider doing this. Blessings to you and your family.

I just got a video on my face book. I do not know how to share it as it is marked private. My grand daughter and her oldest son were using flash cards to learn the times table. my youngest great grandson who is 5 started shaking his booty and singing 6×6= 36. it is so funny. If nothing else he will remember times tables

Speaking of the dummies in the press not learning, Instapundit has a theory (that I have long held but haven’t articulated as well):

In fact, Trump’s basically gaslighting them. Knowing how much they hate him, he’s constantly provoking them to go over the top. Sean Spicer’s crowd-size remarks are all about making them seem petty and negative. (And, possibly, teeing up crowd-size comparisons at next week’s March For Life, which the press normally ignores but which Trump will probably force them to cover).

Trump knows that the press isn’t trusted very much, and that the less it’s trusted, the less it can hurt him. So he’s prodding reporters to do things that will make them less trusted, and they’re constantly taking the bait. They’re taking the bait because they think he’s dumb, and impulsive, and lacking self-control — but he’s the one causing them to act in ways that are dumb and impulsive, and demonstrate lack of self-control. As Richard Fernandez writes on Facebook, they think he’s dumb because they think he has lousy taste, but there are a lot of scarily competent guys out there in the world who like white and gold furniture. And, I should note, Trump has more media experience than probably 99% of the people covering him. (As Obama operative Ben Rhodes gloated with regard to selling a dishonest story on the Iran deal, the average reporter the Obama White House dealt with “is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns.” In Rhodes’ words, “they literally know nothing.”)

The counter-move for the press isn’t to double down on anti-Trump messaging. The counter-move is to bolster its own trustworthiness by acting more neutral and sober, and by being more trustworthy. If the news media actually focused on reporting facts accurately and straightforwardly, on leaving opinion to the pundits, and on giving Trump a clearly fair shake, then Trump’s tactics wouldn’t work, and any actual dirt they found on him would do actual damage. He’s betting on the press being insufficiently mature and self-controlled to manage that. So far, his bet is paying off.

Here she is having an orgasm over Obama on the cover of MS Magazine (“This is what a feminist looks like”) (2:40 mark):

Which is why I have no sympathy for the pussy hat brigade — these are the SAME fucking assholes who denied Hillary being the first female POTUS in 2008 in favor of Obama, so they can cry more over her being denied now as far as I’m concerned.

      • Venus says:

Sorry, that’s Naomi Wolfe, not Klein.

        Sentiment still applies.

        • lyn says:

I posted this on my FB page. My God at the end they wanted Obama to unite everyone and he did the opposite. The pussy hatters blame Trump for what Obama didn’t do, IMHO. Excellent blast from the past!

        • Jadzia says:

What’s completely insane is that Naomi Klein (not Wolfe) was once known for her research and writing opposing some of the nastier consequences of free trade. That Naomi Klein would have been applauding the pullout from TPP. What the hell happened?

    • CiscoKid says:

Honestly, I’m sooo tired of this repetitive , mind less , mind f’kn rhetoric.
      Over and over and over.

    • lyn says:

I only listened to the beginning, but Trump is leaving all these violent whiners and blamers in the dust right now. God give him more speed and stamina!

    • Constance says:

She sure has changed. I wouldn’t have recognized her. Is it just weight gain or what?

He looks like hell in person. I ran into him in a bar across the street from the Seattle Art Museum last year. Really short and has gained weight. My friend yelled out hey that’s Billy Joel or I wouldn’t have noticed.
