Kid the younger is coming down with something. I can tell she’s not faking because
    a) she only took one bite of her syrup-drenched Belgian waffle
    b) she’s actually napping

    • mcnorman says:

Okay Somebody, I urge caution when caring for urchins…they are vectors for horrible diseases. Just kidding…try not to catch anything.

      • votermom says:

Instead of napping in her bed she is curled up asleep on the chair with a blanket covering everything, including her head.
I miss the days when I could still carry her.

      • mcnorman says:

Not sure why I wrote Somebody. FYI, about that “carrying” thingy. No worries, seems to me that they always find a place back on the lap no matter how old they are. I’ve seen pics of Ivanka, Barbara Bush, and Chelsea Clinton all smiling on parent’s laps (ages 14 – 30). You might not be able to carry them anymore, but they always find a way back to their safe space. 🙂

Kids are germ factories but adults have been around a long time and have antibodies to most of the crud little kids get. You will probably be fine.

      • votermom says:

Oh I’ll be ok. She’s always the one who can make me worry about her health though ever since she was a baby. I think she traumatized me – the only kid I had to call 911 for – twice!

Kid the Elder has chronic sicknesses but she never worries me that much – I feel like we have a handle on it.

    • Awww, I hope she feels better soon!

    • lateblum says:

vm, I hope she gets well soon. I know I still worry about all my kids, and they are all over 35. And my son, who teaches jr. high, and has his own little ones in daycare and kindergarten, gets bizarre stuff throughout the school year. I must have been too protective – just like my own mother. (I caught chicken pox from my own kids when I was 35!) Stay well.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

One of our boards members called yesterday (a day early for the conference call) so we just chatted and were talking about having one of those really crazy DC winters where we go from 70 one day to 19 within the next 48 hours–what our grandmothers always referred to a pneumonia weather. I think when it warms up a bit people are out and about more and germs/viruses just get spread faster and further- and kids are magnets for everything that passes within striking distance.

Sounds as if young one has given into to the signals her system is giving her and is getting the rest she needs. Hope you hold your own

This obstruction by the Dems feels like waterboarding, drip, drip, drip. What are they so afraid of when Trump gets his team together?

    • AFVet says:

They are afraid of a Trump admin taking apart all of the socialistic organisms embedded within the government they have worked so hard to maintain for all these years being dashed to smithereens.
Your waterboard analogy is accurate but once Trump gets his cabinet in place the dems are going to be facing a fire hose.

Poor babies,….they are trying sooooo hard.

  5. Dora says:

Wow! The agitators must really be getting violent. Well, they are being mentored by a former Nazi, so what can we expect?

Republicans fear for their safety as Obamacare protests grow

At a closed-door meeting, House lawmakers discuss strategies to counter potential violence.

    • blowme0bama says:

Gee, all these people who love paying for insurance they can’t use because they never meet the deductible! I mean, THAT’S something to fire the passions of every thinking human, huh?

  6. AFVet says:

Oops,…CNN caught planting questions at town hall.

  7. DeniseVB says:

Do you ever get the feeling Obama was never allowed to “President” ? Nothing he did in 8 years ever proved to me that a)he liked the job, b)was easily bored by the job, c)liked our country and d)had the least qualified and most political Cabinet in the history of Presidenting.

    • AFVet says:

I think Obama farmed everything out to his Czars.
Looks like Trump is much more hands on/involved.

  8. 49erDweet says:

    “Popular Vote Day”????

  9. DeniseVB says:

Definitely alike in that I don’t care what either has to say about anything. Also both bad “actresses”, one is just worse than the other 😛

I learned early in my marriage that the biggest mistake women make is trying to get men to behave like a woman, especially if he’s an alpha male.

  11. DeniseVB says:

Good question ladies. I’ve never seen the I-word thrown out this early either. Or any of the other whackadoodle Trump slams the nutty Dems are tossing out there either. AND, they’re fundraising off their “resistance” to Trump. What fools.

Remember five years ago when Manning was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize because he had been tortured by the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner. Good times.

Apparently, Lie-a-watha is too emotional and feeble minded to be held to the same standards as the other 99 Senators.

    • Lulu says:

She does have problems with following rules. Like getting a bar license, or telling the truth, or charging usury. She also leaves stuff off her Senate financial disclosure forms. She got called on it this time because she is a liar and the Senate is sick of it. She is a Harvard professor of law and a US senator and she disregards rules whenever it suits her purpose which is often. Slandering someone from the Senate floor knowing you cannot be sued is a chicken shit thing to do.

    • DeniseVB says:

This was a good reply, but Emilia took the conversation downhill from there.

This explains a lot, LOL !
