Have A Great VD!

This is my 56th Valentine’s Day, and I don’t remember a single good one. YMMV

    I’m bummed about Flynn

    • Think of it like a football game. The other team is gonna score some points, but what matters is who wins.

Flynn’s getting a lot of Twitter support. Amazing all the Obama hypocrisies are being dug up 😀

    • Venus says:

Kanaughty explained it last night with the football game analogy. I’m expanding it:

It’s like a football game: at the start, neither team has won, but every play is hyped — every completed pass, every tackle — is cheered by the crowd and the players high five each other. But in the end, despite all those passes and tackles, only one team is the winner and one team is the loser.
      Trump is playing the long-game.

      [My addition]
Trump wins because he’s always moving, always on attack. He doesn’t sacrifice the good for the perfect — he makes a plan and violently executes it, making adjustments on the fly with speed as needed. Casualties of war happen –more will come on both sides.
Flynn was a self-inflicted wound. It doesn’t matter that the substance of the telephone call was a nothing-burger — Flynn lied to/misled Pence about it, Pence went on TV and spread the lie. Of course Trump’s enemies/Obama loyalists would leak the transcript to expose the lie.
Flynn had to go so Trump could go back on the offense.
I’m not going to fall into despair over every battle loss — winning the war is what’s important.

  6. votermom says:

so, let me get this straight:
CIA I assume spies on Russian diplomats (expected)
then someone in the CIA leaks content of the conversation they recorded to the media

that CIA guy needs to be fired too

    • votermom says:

although since it was domestic maybe it was FBI

    • DandyTIger says:

Or State department. Probably quite a few people involved in these levels of calls. Keep in mind, people are supposed to be on the call making a transcript. And those then go through other people.

      • lateblum says:

This morning, Dennis Kucinich implied it could also be the DOJ. He also calls this an attack on the Trump presidency from deep within Justice, & State and, I think, NSC. He was quite exercised about the manner in which the leaks are flying out of the gov’t and into MSM.

I’m expecting a great Valentines day! I’m not in a romantic relationship, I expect nothing and I can’t possibly be disappointed. I haven’t spent any time thinking up surprises, meals and presents for someone who doesn’t give a rats ass. Life is great! It’s kind of too bad it took me 60 year to figure it out though! Oh Well.

    • elliesmom says:

Elliesdad and I are going out to lunch today. He’s into “How about if we get an appetizer and then split xyz?” The problem is I like a lot more things than he does, and my choices are already limited a bit at home unless I want to make us separate meals. So when he issued the invitation this morning, I said, “Sure, and how about because it’s Valentine’s Day, I get to order my own lunch?” The look on his face was priceless. lol

    • Constance says:

Just returned from a pot roast lunch/dinner with beets, parsnips, potatoes and gravy! Happy Valentines day! I didn’t share it, I asked for double gravy cause I don’t care if the salt makes my ankles swell and my gut stick out, and I didn’t plan, purchase, cook or clean it up! Happy Valentines Day!! Chocolate covered strawberries for dinner.

    RE: #IStandWithFlynn:

Wish I had the time to find a link for this, but I’m playing “beat the clock” right now. I’ll try to find one later and post it, but for right now, I’m just going to pass this along.

On FOX & Friends this morning, Steve Doocy interviewed a guest who repeated what I heard from a few interns yesterday – THE OFA HANDBOOK, recently updated and distributed among Obama Democrats, has laid out in detail how to take the Trump Presidency down. All of those “protesters” we saw at Jason Chaffetz Town Hall? The OFA “rules” said to arrive early in significant numbers so you can get front row seats, scatter yourselves throughout the audience as individuals or not more than two people sitting together, and then spring into action immediately to give the impression that there is more widespread “Resistance” to the Trump Presidency and anyone who supports him.

The guest went on further to say that this also extends to the leaks coming from the White House, and the leakers are all of those staffers who have been held over from the previous administration, including higher ups in the Intelligence Community and some sitting Senators (McCain, Graham, Rubio – looking at you…)

He continued and mentioned the house that FORMER president obama bought in DC, setting it up as a shadow white house whose intention was to cripple the Trump administration “every step of the way, focusing on President Trump’s personal integrity as well as that of his appointees, and exaggerating any mis-steps as ‘scandals’ surrounding this Administration”.

Earlier in the broadcast, I heard Jhemu Green parrot those same talking points (personal integrity, scandals), characterizing the new Democrat Party to be a ‘home for The Resistance’

Yesterday, I suggested that the Dems, MSM, and NeverTrumpers were simply the front line, and wondered who the generals are. This morning, I got my answer: Former POTUS Obama and his OFA contingent is doing their best to take down President Trump, and by extension, placing the United Stated in danger by prolonging the transfer of power (via stalled cabinet appointments and ridiculous nit picking).

Can anything be done about OFA? Its a 501c3, and there should be some legal recourse and consequences for what amounts to treason.

Any lawyers in the house know the answer?

    • DeniseVB says:

These guys should lose their non-profit status too. Organizing marches against America since GWB, probably earlier too, gave Obama a pass for 8 years.

Looking forward to the TCH legal beagles weighing in.

Tea Party groups were denied non-profit status which literally starved the movement into silence in 2012 (unlike OWS, TP was required to pay hefty permit fees to rally and couldn’t fundraise at the grassroots level). Would love to see the Trump IRS look into the money trails of these anti-Trump groups.

    • Constance says:

I don’t think Obama could pull off any of that except being a figure head for it. You can pick out the Libs in any group because they are positively seething. The Lib I had a run-in with at the Superbowl party was actually pacing and glaring at me through the whole event. Her relatives had to keep her under control. She repeatedly accused me of being a Republican and I repeatedly had to tell her I am an Independent and I have the right to my vote. So these people can’t be hard to either purge or isolate in the DC government.

    • swanspirit says:

That is Hussein’s MO. Nothing can be directly tracked back to him, but the directive originated from him. That is how he has been operating for the last 8 years.
And if something should happen, why he didn’t find out til he saw it on cable news. But he will tell you, he doesn’t watch cable news.

      • Island Girl says:

True story…may his slimy dirt soon be exposed for the world to see, most are clueless and think he and his valentine are so sweet. Gag inducing to say the least.

    • Venus says:

I say — they couldn’t stop Trump from winning the nomination and they couldn’t stop him from winning the election and they couldn’t stop him from being sworn in, but *now* they are going to stop him when he’s the fucking President of the United States of America?
      Yeah, I don’t think so.
I’m not saying they aren’t trying but 1 battle isn’t the war — remember when Corey and then Manafort resigned? Trump was over then too according to these geniuses. Trump knows when to fight and when to cut his losses and move on. Flynn, without having done anything “wrong,” (as neither Corey nor Manafort did), had become a liability, putting Trump on the defense rather than the offense. He had to go.
The MSM/Dems mistake Trump executing his plan with a victory for themselves of Flynn’s scalp and there is blood in the water, but if Trump didn’t want Flynn out, he wouldn’t be out.

    • lateblum says:

^This^ is what Kucinich was talking about on FBN this morning. Why the leaks, and why so many, and where are they coming from. what is the purpose of the leaks.
In my mind, the leaks are to render the new administration not only ineffective, but completely unable to push through legislation, or operate at all. The goal is to render Trump “powerless and incapable” In order to impeach him. There has been movement toward impeachment since before the inauguration. I have friends who are donating to groups whose sole (and combined) purpose is the impeachment of President Trump.i bet I receive 3-5 emails everyday asking for money to go toward the impeachment of Mr. Trump or my signature to a petition to impeach POTUS.

      • Constance says:

Sounds like lots of scammers are preying on upset Dems. They do make themselves look really stupid and therefore vunerable so it’s no wonder.

Mayor Promises 40,000 New Jobs in 4 Years at State of the City Speech

HARLEM Mayor Bill de Blasio pledged to create 40,000 new jobs over the next four years in a low-key State of the City speech Monday night that kicked off his re-election bid.

    • kanaughty says:

What i am thinking is how? How you gonna find people these jobs? Or are they just government jobs you are opening up? De blasio is no trump. He doesn’t have a business acumen. He is no bloomberg either, another business man. Or is he going to actually deport the illegals, opening up 40,000 jobs for citizens. So more like redistribution of jobs back to americans?

“Representative Devin Nunes, the Republican chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told me Monday that he saw the leaks about Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak as part of a pattern. “There does appear to be a well orchestrated effort to attack Flynn and others in the administration,” he said. “From the leaking of phone calls between the president and foreign leaders to what appears to be high-level FISA Court information, to the leaking of American citizens being denied security clearances, it looks like a pattern.”

“In the end, it was Trump’s decision to cut Flynn loose. In doing this he caved in to his political and bureaucratic opposition. Nunes told me Monday night that this will not end well. “First it’s Flynn, next it will be Kellyanne Conway, then it will be Steve Bannon, then it will be Reince Priebus,” he said. Put another way, Flynn is only the appetizer. Trump is the entree.”

    “February 14, 2017, 12:11 pm at 12:11 pm
I used to work with [not FOR] the CIA– Beware, they are not what they say at the upper levels– very two-faced. Since national security is involved, I suspect that we are not being told the whole truth, and the whole truth will never be known. I don’t think Flynn did anything wrong, but may have had a personality conflict with Pence– but there might be something more sinister at work that we are not being told anything about– about 30% of the people in DC have been compromised or co-opted to work with the shadow government [the “family”]. It’s difficult to know who to trust, but you will know them by there actions (which may be too late at that point). I expect a false-flag operation Real Soon Now, and the Russians will be the “fall guy”.

I also suspect that the entire WH is bugged [by US intelligence]– time for a deep sweep of all facilities, and especially where sensitive subjects are discussed. For obvious reasons, the Internet and cellphones (or anything else electronic) cannot be within walking distance if you are discussing something sensitive. Even after the sweep, ultra-sensitive discussions should be in the bunker under the WH.

We HAVE to stop the vestigial neocons that want WW-III; they think that it is survivable, and this is based on decades old war gaming– but it is not survivable– it’s not just the bombs– now it’s the nuke power plants– that’s what would render the entire northern hemisphere uninhabitable if there ever was a nuclear exchange (WW-III)– it would be an “extinction level event” [ELE]– even for people living underground for decades.”
