I was just looking for a great excuse to use this scene for another OPEN THREAD. So funny today how this Winter Storm STELLA was the butt of so many jokes today. God, I love weather 😀

    • Mt.Laurel says:

When I saw the name they picked over the weekend I laughed out loud. I envisioned the park service staff shaking their fists at mother nature and shouting STELLA! as they tried to keep her from stripping away or freezing the beloved Cherry Blossoms.

      • DeniseVB says:

My across the street neighbor has a grand cherry tree, this nor’easter just ate it up, knocked the sh*t out of the blossoms. So sad 😦

        • Mt.Laurel says:

The wind is now their worry along with temps in the teens that are expected. I may joke but It is sad. I remember my mother always worrying when we had a mild winter that her lilacs and forsythia and cherry trees (pie and jam cherries) would be lost if the temps changes too much and too fast. The cherry trees were able to withstand such changes the best but even those we lost one year.

  2. votermom says:

Hubby was too busy to shovel the driveway and didn’t trust me to do the whole thing so he hired two neighborhood kids to do it. They took forever but never quit. So cute.

  3. DandyTIger says:

The snowmageddon hit hard here in C’Ville. We got half an inch man. Couldn’t go anywhere. People turned to cannibalism. It was horrible.

    • Ann says:

Well, that pretty much confirms Trump is as rich as he says he is. $150M in a year. My jaw dropped. Before Trump, GW was the “richest” President. George Washington was worth about 500 million dollars in today’s dollars. Trump filed a tax return for 1/3 of that… in one year.

  5. Venus says:

2005 Trump made $150 million and paid $38 million in taxes. 39% rate. That’s about as high as you can pay.
This is the BREAKING FUCKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!
    lol these people are morons.

  6. Venus says:

Tucker Carlson just CONFIRMED that the head of NBC news division leaked the Access Hollywood tape on purpose to Washington Post to distance themselves from story while hurting Trump.
Carlson said “I CAN SAY THAT DEFINITIVELY.”

  7. mothy67 says:

  8. Venus says:

OMFG — is anyone watching this geek on Tucker who used to be CIA?
My lord, if that is what is protecting us, we are FUCKED.

  9. Venus says:

When “our betters” in the MSM start talking about tax returns it proves them to be what utter idiots they truly are and wouldn’t know the tax code from a hole in the ground.

    • Jadzia says:

The SO-CALLED alternative minimum tax? I am a peasant and I got fucked over by that one more than once.

  10. Venus says:

Statues — how the fuck do they work?

  11. SHV says:

Maddow does this thing where she repeats the same thing 5-10 times in a segment. It’s like brainwashing. She doesn’t really say anything any night she’s on.

  19. mothy67 says:

Icing on the cake this evening is SNL can not ignore madcow.

  20. mothy67 says:

Madcow had Hannity enjoying a libation.

  21. Island Girl says:

Well I was all good enjoying our spring weather until I read the “shadow president” is back in the Islands creeping, probably missed his bf golf pals.

Goldie Box is like pink Legos. If it makes it more acceptable to parents, grandparents, and aunties to buy science and building toys for little girls, it’s a great idea. But little girls who want to know how things work or how to make things haven’t been stopped by the lack of toys specifically made for them. I “autopsied” a lot of stuff after I learned what a screwdriver was for. What would help little girls would be a recognition a lot of things things women do in the home and in the workplace are in the realm of science and engineering. Like sewing and cosmetology and a host of other things. Women need to realize “domestic engineering” is a factual title for a lot of things women do. When they believe they can be engineers, and that it’s “normal”, they’ll do it. One of the biggest blockades for women entering the “nerd fields” is wanting to fit expectations of what women are supposed to be and do. (And TBBT doesn’t help.)

  22. CiscoKid says:

So Trump is holding a rally today and his tax returns get illegal released the day before.
    Nice going MSNBC.
But it doesn’t mean 💩 to his supporters.

  23. CiscoKid says:

Cisco ‘sez Maddow gets punked and the 😂 is she did it to herself.

    Stop funding the UN!
“The United Nations Human Rights Council famously counts among its members countries like China, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Foreign Policy reports Tuesday that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is demanding reform.”

  27. DeniseVB says:

Mark Dice ! It’s the only way to watch Maddow 😀

    • CiscoKid says:

Mark is brutal , and I loved every minute of it.
Trump paid no taxes, that’s gotta be the mother of all nothingburger’s.
The same💩 Dem’s drag out on every Republican candidate or office holder.

Waterford Whispers is pretty cool too. They just broke a new Trump “Scandal”

EXCLUSIVE: We’ve Gotten Our Hands On Trump’s Starbucks Receipt From 2012!

      http://waterfordwhispersnews.com/2017/03/15/exclusive-weve-gotten-our-hands-on-trumps-starbucks-receipt-from-2012/

      • CiscoKid says:

And with a little NYT editing, voliá.
August 23rd, 2012, Trump received one grande Americano, a Chai tea latte, two big chocolate coins and one of those marshmallows on a stick things – at a cost to Trump of nearly 20 US dollars *which was equal to 50 Russian Rubles at that time *Where did he receive those 20 dollars *equal to 50 Russian Rubles*?We’re not sure, but we’re willing to throw it open to wild speculation ahead of any attempts of journalistic legwork. Readers don’t need details; they need whatever information a news outlet has right this second.

  28. taw46 says:

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I think President Trump played this one well. He set the tone and reached out to DC. The MSM can fuss all they want – but they simply mad because they were ready to bash him for not being sensitive to the city’s concerns. This is not his first meeting with Bowser. He has now spent more time actually talking, and not just politicking, with DC’s Mayor than just about any president.

I wish fox or anyone would look at the way Hillary structured ownership of her home. It’s convoluted. Some sort of trust which avoids estate tax.

  31. mothy67 says:

Stupid question but how do you “like” a comment. I’m on kindle and do not see option.

    • CiscoKid says:

I wish I could help mothy, but as you can see from my many flubs, I don’t know jack.

Anyone know what time polls close in Netherlands?

  34. Dora says:

  35. Jadzia says:

Well, I know that Trump’s tax returns are basically the “Al Capone’s Vault” of the political reporting world, but I have to say that I’m relieved. Possibly because I’ve been watching weeks and weeks of coverage about our presidential candidates–the ones who want the peasants to work longer hours and have fewer rights(*)–paying government money to their spouses and children for jobs to which said spouses and children do not show up, acting like the rules apply to everybody but them…. What can I say, it’s nice to have a little bit of faith restored.

(*)And although I get that there are many criticisms to make of how our employment law works, my point isn’t about those laws, it’s about the fucking hypocrites who think everybody should sacrifice, except for them.

Soon, we will have the feudal system in Illinois. (actually, we already have it….) Madigan, Cullerton, Daley, Jackson, etc. who tell us what we can do, have, need . . .
