Rock’n’Roll Virginia Beach, having a weather event….our home threaded two tornadoes tonight, we’re fine 🙂

My luck, have “weatherman” TODD covering my doom….

  4. Somebody says:

Oh my goodness Denise, hopefully the storms will move through ASAP. We’ve had a couple of tornadoes in our area this year too, luckily small ones that only resulted in some minor property damage.

I’m ready for this Friday to end……and I’m usually so happy for Fridays. A couple of hours ago the pipe underneath our sink coming from the garbage disposal went kablewy, literally just blew apart. BIG MESS as the disposal was running. A mess of food plus water and it flooded half the kitchen. The wood floor in front of the sink is now a little warped despite us jumping on cleaning up the water. We have a fan going on the base of the cabinet, hopefully it won’t end up warped.

The worst part of the whole mess is that my dog got into the trash and ate chicken bones. Specifically the bones from two drumsticks, two wings, a thigh and a breast. Our kitchen trash is the under the sink kind, in all the mess we flung the trash can out of there and around the corner the dog took full advantage of us being preoccupied and got into the trash.

I…..AM….WORRIED….SICK, that’s a LOT of chicken bones for a mini dachshund. I read online if you catch it within an hour try to coat their stomach with bread or banana or pumpkin. I gave her all of the above……OY, she’s diabetic. I mixed up a bowl full of all three and she ate somewhere between a 1/4 cup and a half cup of the mixture. Obviously her tummy was too full of bones. Luckily she has a vet appointment in the morning for a glucose curve, so I can have them check her out, but her glucose curve is probably for shit now. I doubt I’ll sleep much tonight because I’ll be worried about my dog. I’ll most likely try to stay awake all night watching over her, then after I drop her off at the vet I’ll come home and sleep the day away.

Oh my, I hope your puppy is OK. Many years ago my lab somehow got into pork chop bones, and he had to be on IV fluids, but he passed them all and didn’t need surgery. But I was not in good shape while waiting. Hugs!

Clouds are white, and they float very high in the sky. They must be racist too.
Do these a holes know any other word?

We start every Klan meeting with a big tall glass of cold milk. Mmmm.

It shows the brown people who’s boss and it’s a great source of calcium!

That’s funny shit — I don’t care who you are.

I missed this part about that girl killed in Baltimore a few days ago — she was a SJW preaching about “white privilege”

White Social Justice Warrior Dies at Hands of Black Killer

Nobody had to tell Corrina Mehiel about the white privilege that killed her. It was a major focus of her life as a white Social Justice Warrior disguised as an artist.

Earlier this month, that work took her to George Washington University in the nation’s capital. There she was part of a project drawing attention to one feature of white privilege or another.

This time, lead paint in old houses occupied predominantly by black people.

Just a few days after she was photographed with Nancy Pelosi grinning in approval, friends found Mehiel tied up, stabbed, tortured, and ultimately dead at the hands of El Hadji Alpha Madiou Toure, a black man arrested driving her car and using her debit card.

He said he didn’t do it.

Even the newest practitioner of Critical Race Theory learns that the expectation of safety is a white thing: Black people don’t have it. So why should white people think they deserve it?

That is what activists by the score told Tracey Halvorsen, in response to her article titled “Baltimore, You Are Breaking My Heart,” detailing the day to day black on white harassment, threats, violence and murder in her gentrified Baltimore neighborhood. All detailed in that scintillating best seller Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry.

None of that mattered to Mehiel or the reporters who praised her racial activism even as they ignored the bitter irony of her death.

Mehiel was white and down with the cause, so Mehiel thought the cause was down with her. So did her friends. A fatal mistake:

“Awful,” said Rafer Hoxsworth. “I wonder if the suspect would have spared her had he known how hard she fought for social justice during her life.”

She is hardly the first preacher of the gospel of relentless black victimization to die at the hands of black people whom they sought to protect from relentless white racist violence.

In Oakland, David Ruenzel, a white writer for the Southern Poverty Law Center who was among the first to write about that thing called White Privilege, met a similar fate in an Oakland park — documented on these pages.

Then there was the Baltimore t-shirt vendor for Black Lives Matter, robbed, beaten, but still alive. And the old white dude who was trying to convince a group of Black Lives Protesters in Berkeley not to loot the Radio Shack. They hit him on the head with a hammer for his trouble. He lived too.

    This is a long list.

Most white allies know enough to do their virtue display a safe distance from the black predators they seek to shelter and exonerate.

    But not Mehiel.

Her Facebook page and blog are full of anger toward the white racism that she was convinced was causing so much violence towards innocent black people:

“This year has been exciting and terrifying. So many tragedies inflicted on the full spectrum of non-white males in my country.

I have spent many days trying to understand this moment in our history. Feeling so proud of what we have all accomplished.

Sobbing with the country at the death of the young, beautiful people in Orlando. Crying to my father after watching Philando Castile pass in real time in front of the whole world.

His strong and beautiful girlfriend having the strength to show that story to an already grieving country. [snip]

Her Facebook page is bursting with the gospel of black victimization, from the death of Biggie Smalls to the white racism of Donald Trump to the white racism destroying schools in Detroit and everything in between.

Her belief in black victimization came, she said, at an early age when her mother read to her the book that would change her life: It Takes a Village, by Hillary Rodham Clinton.

    • swanspirit says:

This is horrific. What is worse, is the belief that black violence toward other blacks or whites, is somehow justified by “victimization”, when no other group is given such indulgence or privilege, if you will.

      • DandyTIger says:

Funnily that patronizing is actually racism. White SJW’s are the ultimate racists. They seem to view blacks as pets they need to care for.

    • swanspirit says:

I am weary of asking WTF is wrong with these people. The fucking fanatics and do gooders are guilty of so much harm and destruction. I hope the family wins their lawsuit, and I hope they get a very large settlement.

    The Spiceman!
A reporter for WBBM-Ch. 2 in Chicago asked Spicer if Trump would cut off the funds even though it would hamper Chicago police in their fight against street violence. The reporter noted president has repeatedly highlighted the city’s crime problem.

“I think it would be interesting to want to send more money to a city that is allowing people to come into the country who are breaking the law, who in many cases are committing crimes, (members) of gangs,” Spicer responded.

“You can’t be a sanctuary city and at the same time … express concern about law enforcement or ask for more money, when probably a number of the funds that you’re using in the first place are going to law enforcement to handle the situation that you’ve created for yourself.”
    Lifted from SCC

And here’s why Chicago shouldn’t get one f’king tax dollar.
    Giving illegal’s welfare.

  10. Dora says:

There are no details yet as to why they were under the bridge. I doubt we will get a straight answer from the media.

Three people arrested for starting fire under I-85 bridge that collapsed.

Pictures from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution article.

    • CiscoKid says:

I realize that criminal laws vary from state to state, but that is clearly an arson, a felony.
Offenders are changed with CDTP, a misdemeanor.
      That seems odd to me.
Was there some flammable materials under that bridge, because that was one hell,of a fire, not your usual garbage can fire.

  11. Miranda says:

On the book front, I just finished Romantic Outlaws by Charlotte Gordon: A biography of Mary Wollstonecraft and Mary Shelley. Each chapter dealt with a separate Mary, and occasionally I had to remind myself which Mary did what (MS: Frankenstein MW: Vindication).

MW had her shit together reasonably well, especially considering her childhood, but I have to wonder at someone who takes a look at the French Revolution and thinks “I should totally check that out.”

Still, she’s a paragon of restraint and common sense compared to MS, whose life is a cautionary tale and an example of ‘why you should listen to your boring Dad instead of running off with a hot, married poet’.

The book was interesting and accessible, and my primary takeaway was that Percy Shelley was a total asshole. He kept searching for his ‘true muse’, who was always some young girl he WASN’T married to. The process was that he would divorce (or just ignore) his current wife, take up with the muse, and then after the muse had kids and realized that toddlers couldn’t eat moonbeams, she would become boring and staid and non-muselike.

Now, I’m reading John Roper’s “History of Ancient Egypt” which is ok but talks a lot about pottery. So. Much. Pottery.

    • Dora says:

That book sounds good. I do love duel biographies.

I read a biography of Mary Shelly a few years ago, in which there were some references to her mother. Your book sounds like the place to learn more about Mary Wollstonecraft and I assume her relationship with William Godwin.

I think I’ll look for it when I am in the library. Thanks for mentioning it.

Intelligence official who ‘unmasked’ Trump associates is ‘very high up,’ source says

The U.S. intelligence official who “unmasked,” or exposed, the names of multiple private citizens affiliated with the Trump team is someone “very well known, very high up, very senior in the intelligence world,” a source told Fox News on Friday.

Intelligence and House sources with direct knowledge of the disclosure of classified names told Fox News that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now knows who is responsible — and that person is not in the FBI.
