‘Overly Obese’ Body Starts Fire in Ohio Funeral Home

In what was described as a “freak accident,” the body of an extremely overweight person started a fire in a Cincinnati funeral home during the cremation process.
The fire erupted at the Hillside Chapel Crematory in Cincinnati, Ohio, this week when staffers fired up the crematorium, according to WCPO TV.

“My operator was in the process of cremating remains and (the body) was overly obese, and apparently it got a little hotter than the unit is supposed to get,” owner Don Catchen told the TV reporter.

According to Cincinnati Fire Chief Michael Washington, the fire exploded out of the oven when the voluminous amount of fat in the body caught fire and leaked outside the device.

“We believe there were some combustible storage boxes that were too close to the ovens,” Washington added.

The owner of the funeral home noted that the containers used to store ashes caught fire. “That’s the only thing that’s burnt,” he said.

Apparently, there was no damage to the facilities, nor was there any threat of the fire spreading past the area near the oven.

Such “grease fires” are not unknown in the funeral home industry when dealing with overweight bodies.

And you thought your job sucked.

New Biography: Young Obama ‘Considered Gayness’

Former President Barack Obama considered being homosexual as a young man, according to a forthcoming biography of the president.

The biography by David Garrow, “Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama,” is set to come out on May 9. Garrow wrote a Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of Martin Luther King Jr., and is a regular contributor to The New York Times and The Washington Post.

[…]

In a chapter about the former president’s two years at Occidental College, Garrow reveals a close relationship Obama had with an openly gay assistant professor named Lawrence Goldyn.

“Goldyn made a huge impact on Barry Obama,” Garrow wrote in the book. “Almost a quarter century later, asked about his understanding of gay issues, Obama enthusiastically said, ‘my favorite professor my first year in college was one of the first openly gay people that I knew…He was a terrific guy” with whom Obama developed a ‘friendship beyond the classroom.’”

[…]

“Three years later, Obama wrote somewhat elusively to his first intimate girlfriend that he had thought about and considered gayness, but ultimately had decided that a same-sex relationship would be less challenging and demanding than developing one with the opposite sex,” Garrow wrote. “But there is no doubting that Goldyn gave eighteen-year-old Barry a vastly more positive and uplifting image of gay identity and self-confidence than he had known in Honolulu.”

Yeah. Sure. From the stories I’ve heard he used to be a regular in Chicago’s “Boystown” bars.

Next they’ll tell us that he’s “genderfluid.”

Fyre Festival Cancelled, Stranded Attendees Label it a Scam

After tapping a handful of Insta-models, such as Emily Ratajkowski, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Elsa Hosk, to promote Fyre Festival on Instagram in December 2016, the music festival in Exumas, Bahamas is being labelled a “hoax” and a “scam.” According to reports, organizers left festival-goers stranded at the Miami and Exumas airports and failed to provide other accommodations as promised in its pricey weekend packages before cancelling the festival in its entirety after guests arrived on Thursday evening.

Set to take place on a remote island in the Exumas on Fyre Cay, Fyre Fest was the brainchild of rapper Ja Rule and entrepreneur Billy McFarland. But the event – scheduled to make its official debut on Friday and for which tickets cost between $1,500 and $250,000 – got off to a rough start as soon as guests began to arrive on Thursday.

The festival grounds were littered with barely-erected, unfurnished tents and piles of trash. The gourmet meals that festival-goers were promised consisted of sad-looking cheese sandwiches. The guests’ luggage was thrown from the back of a truck onto the ground, and security was nowhere to be found when attendees began engaging in verbal and physical confrontations.

Blink-182 announced that its members were pulling out of the festival, telling fans on Twitter that they were worried that festival organizers would not be able to provide the production needed for their performance. This is just the latest blow in a series of setbacks for the festival, which was supposed to last for two weekends, and be headlined by musicians from from G.O.O.D. Music, including Tyga, Desiigner and Pusha T.

According to one festival-goer’s account: So, Fyre Festival was a complete scam. We arrived at Exuma International Airport and were told to get on buses if we are staying on site. So, Megan, Tobi and I get on our bus to go to what we think will be the ultimate glamping experience – king sized beds, solar powered lightbulbs, furniture, etc. What actually happened is that we go to a semi-constructed tent, a tiny stage and a huge line of very worried looking people who needed to check in to find their bags.

Unfortunately, they did not let us pick up our bags at the airport as we were told they would be waiting for us in our tents. That was a lie and it took us from 6:30 to 9:45pm to get our luggage back. Aside from this, the tents weren’t even built yet, so of course there was not furniture inside (as promised). I spoke to a woman who had paid 10k for a VIP Villa Package – she was promised an exclusive villa, VIP access, and an upgraded culinary experience – instead she got a partially constructed tent and all of the stuff she put inside it was stolen.

I’m still enjoying my staycation.

I went to law school in Chicago and then I live there for a couple years well he was a State Rep absolutely the man is gay was well-known and they call it creeping. He was known all of his peeps know this he would smoke cigarettes he rarely attended assembly he voted rarely mostly he was absent yeah his community organizing I don’t know I guess if that means doing nothing and getting paid to do nothing will he did that well. And I’m sorry but I in addition to just knowing things i was named the youngest sexual deviant expert in the country in undergrad and I’ve watched enough pronography to know that he loathes women his nonverbals and you can ask if we asked any 10 social scientist you can tell just by the way he holds Michelle’s hand period one day it will come out very is a narcissistic woman-hating card-carrying American hating Muslim Islam practicing piece of human filth. Reverend Wright knows but he got paid plenty of money to keep his mouth shut. It’s amazing when you really think about the multi multi layers of Deceit going on right now in this country and really the world if you believe in the Bible there’s a whole bunch of people headed to that hot place I sure hope I’m not one of them compared to Barry I think I’ve got my place cemented in heaven and he’s got his place invented will you know where… I sure hope I’m still alive when the truth comes out because it’ll be better than election-night the crying the hand-wringing the sub and maybe it’ll be worth all these years of hell just to see that might be

This is where the media has failed us. If they only vetted Obama in 2008 like they did Trump since June 2015, imagine what could have come out of the closet. Anyone who dared vet him, like Beckwith of The Obama File and Jack Cashill’s multiple articles and books, were called conspiracy nuts. Most of it makes sense now. My favorite line was from (former mayor, governor) Sarah Palin during 2008, “Hey Obama, a mayor is like a community organizer only with responsibilities”.

Kevin Dujan of Hillbuzz told a lot of Chicago Boystown stories about Obama early in his first term. Since he was such a great storyteller, nobody cared if they were true or not, very entertaining. Then Dujan disappeared from his blog. Never knew what happened to him (I think he recently returned, but not as provocative).

I’m really rooting for Trump to drain the swamp, but must have patience! I really think the biggest threat to America right now is the Democratic Party, they’re all pretty whacked with this Resist bullsh*t and not denouncing the Antifa domestic terrorists. Watching Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi slip into madness, priceless.

      • jenlyntx says:

Denise–yes, but the problem is that the MEDIA and the DEMOCRATS had only ONE agenda and that was MONEY (i.e. power). Vetting Obama was NEVER an issue. And I agree 10000% that the Democrats are now unhinged and scarily so in their quest to regain the Money/Power thing. Obama is a tool and a good one since they can now say we are both stupid and racist and the nitwit snowflakes believe it. Trump is trying as hard as he can but he is fighting the 99% of Washington that only care about Money/Power. I pray for him and us daily and wish I could be more of service. His fight is literally biblical he has a small slingshot against a big ugly giant.

And the whole well he is such a great community organizer excuse in putting him into the highest office in our land, well all that organizing did shit. Crime rate and gangs still high in chicago and he was friends with people taking advantage of the community like rezko and blago. So how is yoyr organizing and standing up for the people doing any good when the aholes are still taking advantage of those people and you are friends with the aholes. Yeah the community organizing bullshit title was just that, a way to say he was doing something when he was doing absolutely nothing except maybe being a paid protester like antifa or something like that. A paid agitator, bit with no agenda to actually get something done. Agitating just to get alinksy type government and way of life installed.

NFL draft last night. I stayed up way too late to watch 4 ESPN talking heads. That, and watch a bunch of 3 rd round QB prospects go in the 1st round because 60% of teams need a quarterback. Reaching for that diamond-in-the-rough.

  3. DeniseVB says:

Lisa and her mom(Gloria Allred) are the most unethical “lawyers”, why are they not disbarred? They keep their victim parade rolling in front of the media, yet not one has proven to be viable. Not sure I understand the Jesse Watters attack, Ivanka hasn’t complained, yet somehow smooth jazz has turned into a blow job?

  4. kanaughty says:

My theory is O is gay, will only come out as gay if divorced mich. but they won’t divorce because she wants to run for something 😦 also frank marshall, lover or dad. Why else is he around so much? Why was he in tahiti too? But BO would never have been a rising star if his name was barry dunham or barry marshall, so obama became his dad. There is still the question of him having used an indonesian passport at one time, which makes him a duel citizen? So many mysteries with this guy and it’s all under lock and key like his academic records. I think it all has to do with his mom supposedly being CIA, so that’s why his life story doesn’t add up and seems put together because it needed to be to keep her under cover. The most mysterious president in america ever. Do you guys remember that whole larry sinclair stuff? The guy claimed he was in back of limo w O. That was such a weird story and i don’t know where that guy disappeared too. He could have been making it up, but the way he told the stories were intriguing like the enquirer.

  5. DeniseVB says:

No surprise here. Now if only the media would pay attention to these “marches” and call them out for the astroturf that they are. It’s just anti-Trump b.s.

I will be going to Brentwood next Saturday to visit my cousins and attend their son’s second birthday party. It’s a nice neighborhood; they have a nice house and what’s happening now appalls me.

I think that Schumer and Gillibrand should be forced to attend the funerals. Then they should have to explain to those in mourning exactly why they are against the wall.

  12. lateblum says:

Okay. Now I know I’m racist. I had set aside the morning until noon today, after taking my car in early for repairs and getting a loaner car to get back home before my 10:00 am appointment with comcast for an installation. Every few minutes I would check the app on my phone to make certain the appt was still good. Even at 11, 11:15, and 11:30 – with updates – I was assured the person was coming. 20 minutes after the scheduled time, I received a call on the wrong phone, I might add, saying they wouldn’t be here between 10:00 and 12:00. (It was 12:20). They said they’d be here sometime between now and 3:00, but no later than 7:00 P.M.
I’d heard that expecting promptness and people being on time was racist, so I guess it makes me a racist to expect that at some point before the scheduled time had elapsed, I’d hear from someone. But I realize that’s racist of me. When I said I’d like to reschedule the appt for another day, the installer said I’d get a call from the dispatch to confirm and reschedule. It’s been 20+ minutes and still no call. I’m getting more and more racist by the minute.
    grrrrrrr

  13. elliesmom says:

So being gay or straight is a choice after all? I really don’t care one way or the other. I do appreciate some consistency.

So, I’m trying to offer a PSA to TCH. . .
I just received this email message:

“(people) can prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs during a drug take back program sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday”

I am assuming this is nationwide as the message later went on to say that our pd is “one of the nationwide sites” for the drop off.

My husband has become so disgusted with the media coverage that he is now considering voting for Marine. : ) Weirdly, my MIL, who is far more, shall we say, “conservative” on immigration and related issues than Marine LePen (or possibly even her father) is casting a blank vote. (Write-ins aren’t allowed.)

(Background on the husband thing: FINALLY a prominent, “respectable” French politician has thrown his support to her. The media response? A dozen stories about how the bien-pensants are demonizing the guy all over the Internet and in front of any camera that will have them. Basically it’s a supposedly grown-up version of “Marine has cooties and if you like her, then YOU HAVE COOTIES TOO.”)

    • taw46 says:

From what you say, and what I read, it is our election all over again. Try to shame people not to vote for “that person” by calling the voters names and insulting them. Yeah, that didn’t work here.

      • Jadzia says:

It is TOTALLY like the USA election, except (and I know this is probably difficult to imagine) that the media is even more biased this time around. If a space alien were to drop by to watch, say, 30 random minutes of our version of CNN, he would reasonably believe that not a single person in France supported LePen.
