Please, not another nursing home playlist!

yesterday my tv was tuned to TCM for most of the afternoon. I have cursed more in the last 3 months then I ever did in my life at the tv.

I asked end of last thread what your thoughts were on Trump. I know you were not on Trump train, but you were always respectful. It would be interesting to hear from a balanced person who was not crazy about him. The left makes no sense. I would think dims would be trying to work something out for dreamers. Instead they are forcing him to double down. I never believed he was going to deport 20 million people. I lived upstate Manhattan in the Dominican Republic of New York (aka Washington Heights/Inwood) . I was a minority. ICE doesn’t have the vans to deport them all. My former roommate s son did dumb stuff. Harmless young New Yorker dumb stuff. He is being deported. Apartment was on 168th and Fort Washington. 9 rooms two full baths. She paid 720. She rented out three bedrooms at 700 a pop. It was a bargain for me. A train was right there. I was on Columbia Presbyterian medical campus. Bill had his heart surgery there. Fucking nightmare. Anyhow her apartment would go for at least 3 grand. She never worked. Got welfare. Had full health insurance. She scammed for decades now she is crying about her son. He’s in custody.

      • helenk3 says:

he is an elected president of the USA. he has loyalty to this country which is a lot more than the last president did. I do not expect miracles he is not my savior. I resent the hell out of the obstruction and outright treason being committed by the left. If the president fails the country hurts, they do not seem to understand that. He has ideas and so far has recruited good people and put them in place where they are needed.

        • mothy67 says:

Good to hear. I as you all know have a kid that is not my kid. Just my chump.
I fear for her. School is messed up. They teach wacko. They call Trump racist.

        • jenlyn says:

Exactly I think when you just start a massive movement called I support our president because I support this country and I also support our police officers are ambulance drivers are firefighters and anyone else working for the greater good of America and American people. The media should be taken out lined up and cough cough dealt with they are not even worth trying to rehabilitate all of them and most Republicans and all Democrats I’ve just about had it

        • DeniseVB says:

I always loved you Helen, even when you were honestly not on the Trump Train, you always shared your reasons. Much respect ❤

        • Constance says:

Helen, I just copied your comment with a very few changes and posted it in my rant to KIRO talk radio. I usually listen but I can’t take it anymore and you pretty much nailed the reasons why.

        • Mt.Laurel says:

This is how I have always approached whoever is elected president. It is was what I was taught by my parents – respect for the system and position even if you dislike the person elected. It is the way most reasonable people see things. You want every president to succeed both as a leader internally and as a positive reprehensive of the county to the world at large. That is what is best for the nation as a whole.

You should never agree with anyone 100% – that type of blind allegiance indicates something is amiss. It is not good for anyone – but seems to be what so many people who have substituted politics for religion and worship the party elders as demi-gods.

          • helenk3 says:

until backtrack, I never doubted any president’s loyalty to this country. I may not like them and their ideas, but I knew they loved the country.
I still can not forgive or forget what the democratic party did when they installed him in the white house. Now I have to take a good look at them and ask myself what is their agenda is it good for the country? i do not like that feeling.

          • DeniseVB says:

MTL, you have been the best part of my PDJT Inaugural memory. Especially that you came all the way into DC to meet up with a TCHer you have never met in real life before. It was an awesome experience for me, sharing the Concert on the Mall with you was priceless. Thank you !

        • lateblum says:

Helen, Not only is this treachery happening in DC, it is happening in states as well. This morning I heard a report on the radio that the Rs in our state legislature will only vote to pass bills that have the approval of the state’s Dems !! The Rep governor, Rauner, is so unpopular that the R’s have now decided to NOT give him the support he needs. this is also unconscionable., Our state is so far down the economic drain, we may not see daylight again in my life time.and this is due to the democrat legislature and governors who have striven to make everyone depend on the welfare that the state has been unable to sustain for decades.
The state is millions and millions – possibly billions – of $$ in debt to the state employees health insurance plan. And because of that, there are insurance companies that have withdrawn from insuring state employees. None of the debt incurred has happened or was caused by the Rs. But the Rs are the ones who have decided to support only Democrat supported bills. It makes me ill.
You said that the left does not seem to understand the country will fail if they don’t stop the obstruction. I think they do not care. And if I had TCM, I’d be watching it, too. Instead, i’ve been out the last 2 days and when I’ve been home, I have had the tv on for a minimal amount of time. I have caught bits and pieces of news related broadcasts. But almost the moment I hear what is being said, I change the stations. I’m also sick of swearing at the tv and even the radio.

          • DeniseVB says:

Keep your eye on Virginia. We have an off year election this fall for Gov. to follow the Clintons’ cabin boy, Terry McAuliffe. Thank goodness our state is term limited to one term. He hasn’t really been McAwful, except for restoring voting rights to felons before last Nov’s Presidential election, which of course, Hillary won our state. Our Govs seem to go for the US Senate next, but will Terry primary Tim Kaine for 2018 ? Laura Ingraham is hinting at challenging Timmy too.

Good grief, I was on Team Raising Kaine when he ran for Gov (won!) and Senate (won!), but then Democrats were normal humans. 😉

          • lateblum says:

In Illinois, Jay Pritzker of the wealthy and politically connected Pritzker family is now running against incumbent and Republican Bruce Rauner. The only way I’d vote for Pritzker is if he were running against the real Hitler.
The dems and Reps are bostructing nearly everything Rauner proposes because we have our own swamp in Springfield. With Mike Madigan in charge of the legislature – as he has been for decades – and his daughter, Lisa, the Attorney General, plus all the Cook County thugscronies of Mr. Madigan, common sense economic, business and political policies haven’t a chance here.

took my 2 daughters and my nieces and a couple of other teenagers to the Latin Casino in NJ to see them. it was a day to remember. got a table by the stage, all the girls got a kiss from Tony Orlando. I was the best mother ever for day.

    • DeniseVB says:

Perfect video from my pre-nursing home years in the late 60’s. 😛 Oh wait, did I just do a 5k fundraiser run/walk for the 9-11 Memorial last month? Just received my *participation medal* in the mail. Dh happily added it to his Vietnam “participation medals”, the Silver and Bronze Stars. He’s so sweet.

    It’s not true.

    • DandyTIger says:

I suspected when she posted that she was in talks with them that it would be a no go. You don’t talk directly about that sort of thing and expect to get the job.

      • taw46 says:

Agree. WH did not announce they were looking for a new press secretary, yet here she was wishing Sean Spicer well in his next endeavor.

      • Anthony says:

From what I heard, she was (is still?) up for Communications Director, currently held by Spicer along with the added responsibility of Press Secretary. She’d be good at that, hope she’s still in the running for Director

  7. DeniseVB says:

With all due respect to NBD, I also submit a 40’s newsreel of Coney Island. As a little kid growing up in 50’s Brooklyn, these rides and attractions were still scaring the sh*t out of us. I think that’s where I earned my “tough skin”, that and hot dogs were invented there, The Caviar of Brooklyn as it was referred to ! Little Donnie Trump, Dora and I had a great time, until the feds shut it down 😉

I just love revisiting history through music, events and experiences, even though the fascists in our country are trying to shut it down. What are they so afraid of?

    • DeniseVB says:

Watching PDJT speaking to the Coast Guard Academy grads. My niece is on the support staff for the school , thrilled to be in the audience…..I have hope 😀

Just a few months ago, media “leaked” PDJT was shutting down the Coasties.

      • helenk3 says:

he is giving a good speech.
as far as shutting them down Ain’t gonna happen. They are the oldest military branch in the USA. They do not get the media attention like the other branches but they do a fantastic job quietly every day.

      • DandyTIger says:

Hahaha, shutting down the Coasties. That tells you how much the media and leak manufacturing knows about them. Not even remotely possible.

  8. lyn says:

It sounds like there is a huge market sell off of media stocks today. LOL

  9. gram krakka says:

With all the Dems crys for a special prosecuter this article cuts through the BS and blows the smoke away and clearly lays out that no one has yet publicly identified any laws that have been broken that would justify such an appointment.

Despite at least 10 months of searching under every rock, neither the “deep state” or Dems/media have produced credible evidence that Trump colluded with the Ruskies to deny Hillary of her right to the Presidency. Finally just recently heard someone in the media, Bret Hume, point out that collusion would not be a crime unless actual vote tampering occured.

  10. mothy67 says:

I love Coney Island. I always took my family. The Cyclone is from hell. Nathans. Skee ball. The fucking ocean. Docks with people getting dinner. Last time I was there my friend Nicole got accepted to Steppenwolf. First ever summer program. Gary Senise, Joan Allen, John Malcovich, Laurie Metcalf were teaching. Nicole could not afford. We don’t play that way. We went to Coney Island and had a yuuuuuge fund raiser. As long as I live I will never forget dusk in an open dive shitty bar and this song came on juke

Nicole went to Chicago. Just a bunch of strugglers gave her a dream. She is of course married to a doctor living in Connecticut.

    • DeniseVB says:

I was at Coney a few of years ago, and it’s still fabulous. Rode the Cyclone and the Wonder Wheel, originals ! Then attended the minor league Brooklyn Cyclones game (the ball field is on the old Steeplechase property) our seats had a view of the ocean and the park, including the old Parachute Drop, left in place, it’s such a monument to good old days. It’s now the Coney Island Tower…..

It was a ride decades ago, sat in a chair that slowly moved you to the top, then released you, deploying a parachute to free fall to the bottom. It was scary cool.

Early 60’s or so, NYS and Feds started shutting down most of the rides because of injuries and stuff, they became uninsurable. Fred Trump moved in, bought up a lot of property for cheap, tore down and re-developed it, yada, yada, yada, his son is now our President 😉

      • helenk3 says:

in that area there used to be projects. the tracks were low with banks on either side. the looters would roll tires down and break the air hoses on freight trains and loot the trains. They could empty a box car faster than any railroad employee .

also right there is Zoo tower. one of the few places that you can go anywhere in the country by rail from. north and south, east and west.

  13. mothy67 says:

Kid did a no hitter again yesterday. She is good. Stanford guy keeps coming to watch her. He is in city to view seniors. He comes to shaypups games. Barring an injury she will play ball. She wanted to pitch. They wouldn’t let her. She takes archery and we play darts all the time. Real darts. I was in a league that traveled. I did Lisbon and london. . My kid who is not my kid has focus. S h e can pitch. I bought her a hoverboard. She is my pride and joy.
Her final grades are A’s. She teaches taekwon do. Think about a baby thrown away. No one cared for her.
    Pathetic faggot found her.

Why does this make me laugh?

      • DeniseVB says:

Because if Comey had all these “memos” Trump would have never been elected? Creep Team Obama/Hillary would have released them loooooong before November 8. Definitely laughable 😀

  16. taw46 says:

    • DandyTIger says:

Yes they are. It’s sedition, at best. Trouble is, what do you do about the swamp when it reaches so far and wide. Not sure you can actually drain that much of it.

      • DandyTIger says:

IOW, it’s war. Not just about draining. It’s about destroying the people trying to destroy the country at this point.

        • DeniseVB says:

I’m thinking sedition too. How do we prove it? Well, other than Hillary starting a “resistance” Pac or Obama scamming Italy for 3 mil to crank about cow farting Gorebal Warming and his bride snorking on Trump Hates Kids because he wants to up the yummy “calories” for growing children’s public school lunches. I think theyBamas should STFU.

It helps to come here. Lily, crash, Somebodys tribe helps me. I struggle with brat. It is salve to read others.
I bought kid a hoverboard. Not cheap. It comes on Friday. My dad is against it. He took me into his office and asked if I could at least wait until graduation. Fool It comes on Friday. I will give on Friday. I give Christmas presents in June. I can’t wait. They know me. Kid pulled off straight A’s. She deserves a hoverboard. . My pup is decent. She has a conscience. Her tears over a 900 phone were the best. She cared.I feared she might be like her parents. Nope she cried so hard about a phone. I care not at all about a phone. Its a phone. Insurance covered it. I had to pay 170. Package came and I told her it was a flip phone. Tears. She would rather die than have a flip phone. She had a 256 GB I phone 7 plus. Hers was rose they replaced it with a black phone. I tortured her she got same phone just black.

On a related note, a Dim in Congress presented an act to make PDJT pay for all his travels.

It was called the Swamp Act.

  31. DandyTIger says:

  32. helenk3 says:

this was on facebook and I thought it was great and should be shared

I have spent the better part of today calling every rep senator, not just those from my state. Here’s what I’m telling them:

It’s time to get it together. You don’t have to like the president as a best friend. And you don’t have to agree with everything he says. But stop stonewalling. See what he is trying to accomplish, and how it will be a benefit to the country, and then work with him on exactly how, and git ‘er dun.

It’s time to be vocal in his defense against the onslaught of lies, that you know are lies. He is out there by himself and the rest of you are silent. I don’t care if you tweet, FB, or call a presser with 10-20 of you out at the mike. Speak up.

The dems stick together on every issue, right or wrong. Why can’t the reps agree on anything?

You asked us for it, and we gave it to you…..all three house of government, but the dems are still in charge. There has been a lot of talk about voting out, in the primaries, the ones who are fighting and obstructing. We tried to send a message last November, but apparently we didn’t speak loudly enough.

Unless you have been bought off, it’s time! And if you have, then give the money back and start working for us. We elected you, not 100 clones of Schumer.

At the risk of repeating myself…..its time!

Bobby Sherman and the Carpenters. All I had to do to annoy the heck out of the two younger of my older brothers (the others were out in their own and married) was to put one of these records on the stereo in the living room rather than play them in my room. A couple years down the road I found ABBA sent them running out of the house. My parents liked most of my music so it was win win!

  34. helenk3 says:

      From the federalist article:

“The narrative from the Acela corridor media establishment is that Trump is a known liar and Comey is a honest public servant above reproach, so clearly Comey’s word must be believed, the total absence of any other corroborating evidence notwithstanding.

My dd#1 loathes PDJT. Loathes him. So when we were together in the car on Sunday we heard a news item about Comey stating that he was above reproach. A man of “unquestionable integrity”… I groaned And then dd#1 shot back (at the radio) “my a$$”. She is so far Left that I was absolutely dumbfounded.
      I am hopeful.

So, after ABC cancels “Last Man Standing”, and was rebuked by fans nationwide, they announce the resurrection of “Rosanne”.

    • DeniseVB says:

Rosanne has been a bigger Trump supporter than all of conservative Hollywood combined. Yeah, this is really weird.

      • lateblum says:

I wonder how to sustain my promise of a boycott of ABC and still be able to catch “Roseanne”.

        • DeniseVB says:

I cheat. 😉 Tim Allen not only had 6 seasons with his current show on ABC, but gave them 8 money making seasons with that wonderful Home Improvement back in the day. Another fav, Will and Grace is coming back too. Now if only Debra Messing will shut up, I may tune in 🙂

  39. helenk3 says:

this special prosecutor is for Russian interference in the election right? So there were two people running in that election, so will hillary and her henchmen be looked at as well as trump?
will the murder of Seth Richards be looked at? Will the mishandling of classified info on her servers be looked at?

Greg Gutfield just said right after the election hillary started the narrative that she lost due to Russia. the msm and the dems have kept up that narrative and now we have a special prosecutor. She gets what she wants again.

    • Venus says:

um she didn’t get the presidency.
this appointment is going to bite her and the Dems in the ass.
Be careful what you wish for.

      • mcnorman says:

Yup, like why the DNC didn’t allow the FBI access to their servers…you know, the ones that Russia hacked. LMAO This is Pandora’s Box. Some on the left are already seizing over what might surface…unintentional consequences.

        • Venus says:

you know how you can really tell the special counsel is good for Trump? Dick Morris says it’s a disaster for him. lol

Another convenience store opened right next to a convenience store. Literally right next door. Its called Bombay. I can walk my entire town in 15 minutes. We now have 7 stores. All refugees. There is a yuuuuge grocery store. Its like two city blocks. Its way cheaper than a 7/11. Who is funding these people. How does a bank fund a convenience store next to a convenience store. Mayor dude will be calling everyone racist shortly. We are not supporting immigrants. Blah blah blah. I almost never use those stores. They are expensive. They made a huge deal about Frozen Yogurt shop going under. Its Pittsburgh. Weather is not kind. Every business that went into place failed. I took pup a few times it was like 8 dollars a serving.it was good but I can buy frozen yogurt less than a block away. We also have McDs. The parfets are like 2 dollars. This place was a chain, TCBY. No parking. Everything that went in there closed. Somehow its racist. No I liked it but 8 dollars a pop was too much. How did they ever get approved for a loan. It was a bad decision. I owned a bar and a restaurant. I know how hard it is to make money. No way a frozen yogurt shop got a pass. No banker would fund. A convenience store next to a convenience store. Who is paying for this. Seriously 7 stores in my tiny hamlet. Do the people even think? The stores don’t even sell lotery tickets. Why else would you go into a 7/11. I used to for smokes but now I roll my own. Maybe a cup of coffee to make change we are being called racist. They are having a diversity meeting at library. Gonna shame. No one is going. I want pup to marry Taylon. He’s Japanese and of course his single mom has a nail salon. He is my enemy. We fight nonstop. Kidding aside he’s a good kid. Obnoxious but good. He is a math prodigy. He doesn’t care. Too busy yelling Pepe and calling everyone racist.. everyone is racist. I say Tay tie your shoe he yells racist.

I think I got very lucky. We were talking about Abbey Lee Miller at softball. Shay only went one day. Some of softball moms stuck it out. Everyone loves Abbey. I was shocked. One woman has her kid going to CLO. Its like Fame. Shay went until the court gave him Saturdays. Its only about 1000 a year. Full time . You can spread it out over a year. They offer financial aid.
Its such a wonderful place. Kids being alive in arts.
Pup is going back. It cost like 3/day. Its so healthy. Kids running around expressing themselves.
Michelle is a softball mom she said her daughter can date anyone at CLO. I said they are all gay. She laughed and said thats my point. She is big. Very big. I make her laugh. No one is messing with me. She barrels through a room. I am just in her wake. Somehow the great gay uncle is untouchable. Because Michelle will eat them alive.
Why do you think gay guys get along with fat women. I see Michelle a block away and she starts laughing. I get along with fat women. Not trigglypuffs just older crackers that like a laugh. I always laugh. I would be inclined to think I don’t judge but I say fatty all the time. Michelle gets drunk with me a lot. She is soooooo fat. Like obese but strong. We have fun. I don’t know her history but she seems like she sat on the sidelines. I am a freak making up my own rules. I take care of my kid but 3 am in a diner eating feta tomato omelet with cheese fries is just Monday for me.
