This Will Not End Well

As I predicted, Kathy Griffin is now claiming victim status.

One of the reasons that I haven’t been posting much lately is that I just can’t keep up. By the time I get my head wrapped around today’s shit it’s tomorrow and there is a whole new bunch of shit to deal with.

    • I don’t remember voting on the Paris Accord. I don’t recall Congress passing it into law. I have no recollection of the Senate approving it as a treaty either.

      • CiscoKid says:

But wait a minute, they could be right, it’s the NYTimes after all.
        Have they ever been wrong?
        Or published the truth?

      • 49erDweet says:

But………..but…………..but the special butterflies WANT it. NEED it. DESERVE it. Just cuz it sounds so neat with the words “Paris” and “Accord” in it. And a Fwench guy insists we need it, so that settles it. Trump is quite obviously racist for turning it down. The science on that, too, is settled.

    • Constance says:

Well, polls showed Hillary winning the 2016 election by 15% a few days before Trump won, so………I’m guessing President Trump isn’t too worried. I’m not.

    This was under played

Let’s compare that to the number of times our “Legitimate Leaders [Betters](TM)” incorrectly labeled terrorist attacks as “incidents of workplace violence,” “incidence of school violence,” the work of “lone wolves” (soooo many lone wolves out there!)–or ignored them altogether.

I want to see the French pay for it. They are busted and can’t. All of the money is just for a new bureacracy and bribes. Maybe some shit studies and stuff. Without the US money pot it goes tits up.

        • Mary says:

Or, as I heard Greg Gutfeld say yesterday on The Five, all of the money is for the new building to have meetings in, and to pay for 5-star hotel rooms while they meet.

          • DeniseVB says:

I caught The Five yesterday, dear lawd Juan is so annoying with shrieking out climate change “science” polls, but loved how Jessie and Greg nailed him for fake polls and stupid DNC talking points made up by liberal college professors 🙂

All of her gigs are being cancelled because she is a creep and hangs out exclusively with other creeps. Some other comedians who are maybe funny will get an opportunity. I think that is a pretty good ending. Even that POS Franken has abandoned her stupid ass. I do want to hear her lawyer explain how an eleven year old boy is bullying her.

Maybe they’ll include Roseanne Barr in the bullying …. maybe not 😉

      Funny story, maybe.
Little league coach saw my problem in fielding, I would close my eyes when the ball came close. He spotted this around the second or third practice.
Coach called me off the field and he had a baseball in his hands.
He said looks like your having a little problem out there, let me show you a secret.
Now close your eyes, I did, and he bounced that freaking ball off my head, I mean bounced.
Now get back out there and play some ball.
He didn’t have to explain anything, it was crystal clear, keep your eyes open.
Poor Kerry, never had a good coach.

Illinois has had its bond rating downgrade to one step above junk by Moody’s Investors Service and S&P Global Ratings, the lowest ranking on record for a U.S. state, as the long-running political stalemate over the budget shows no signs of ending.

The Illinois bill would put a 20% levy on fees earned by investment advisers. It passed the state Senate in a 32-24 vote Tuesday, and backers are hoping to get it through the House before the legislative session ends May 31.

I can’t keep up, either. I was getting so depressed I decided to step back, too. I’ve been working on getting our house more handicap accessible for Elliesdad, walking Ellie 100 miles, entertaining friends and family in a politics-free zone, and shopping. Something I don’t usually enjoy, but buying clothes 3 sizes smaller is kind of fun. Then yesterday my daughter, who has been showing definite signs of TDS since November, replied to an anti-Trump voter tirade on FB with, “The only thing I know about Trump voters is they preferred him to Hillary. Maybe they understood things better than we did. We’ll see. ” So I’m going to continue to wait and see, too. Maybe as time passes and the left continues to go completely off the rails, sanity will return one true liberal at a time. Then we’ll be able to discuss immigration, climate change, education, poverty, free speech, national sovereignty, and all the other things we all think are important again.

THIS IS NOT GOING TO END WELL – As long as it ends, I’m ok. I’ve been quiet about this for one reason: she doesn’t deserve a drop of ink to promote herself. This whole stunt was a mechanism to get herself mentioned in at least one news cycle, and now she’s dominated the news for almost 3 days. Fuck her and her floundering “career”.

    • DeniseVB says:

I used to be such a fan, but somehow she went to the dark side of “uncomfortable” humor like when she did a mock blow job on Anderson Cooper on *live* t.v. one NYE. So I pretty much started ignoring her. All this Trump-hate b.s. she calls “comedy” I think is more mental illness anyhow. You know what they say about fine line between humor and insanity 😉

      • Anthony says:

I tried being a fan when she first emerged on the scene, and although I was somewhat amused, I never quite “got” there with her. Shortly after Joan Rivers died, she stepped up her game to become “America’s new female insult comic”, completely oblivious to the word “comic” in that equation. Its a fine line insult comics have to walk – Rivers and Rickles understood how to deliver and still be likable; Griffin has not. Vulgarity for its own sake is never funny, nor is taking a controversial stand using “comedy” as a foil for politics when some third rate wannabe comic uses it for their own PR.

“I learned firsthand just how much it was the latter when covering COP15 — the UN climate conference in Copenhagen at the tail end of 2009. That the event occurred in near-blizzard conditions with temperatures hovering close to single digits was the least of it. As we all know, that’s weather, not climate. Right?

Naturally, most of the conference was deadly dull — except for watching junketing U.S. politicians scarfing down modernist Danish jewelry in the Marriott gift shop. But during one of the tedious panel discussions, I found myself sitting next to the representative of one of the Pacific islands said to be on the edge of being submerged. A pleasant fellow, I engaged him in conversation, attempting to commiserate with him about the fate of his homeland. The diplomat started laughing. “Don’t you believe in global warming?” I asked. “It’s nonsense,” he said. He went to explain that his island was just fine. They had some bad weather and had put up sandbags, but now they were gone. So I then asked why he had come all the way from the South Pacific to Denmark and he looked at me in astonishment. “For the money,” he said, continuing to stare at me as if I were some kind of cretin who had wangled a press pass. (Okay, I wouldn’t have been the first.)”

Soros: The European Union Is Now In An “Existential Crisis” And Trump’s America Is A “Hostile Power”

Commenting on the current state of the European experiment, George Soros warned the European Union has plunged it into an existential crisis as a result of “dysfunctional” institutions and austerity mandates, and will require the bloc to reinvent itself to survive. Speaking at the Brussels Economic Forum, the billionaire investor said the EU had “lost its momentum” as he urged policymakers to abandon hopes of “ever closer union” driven by a top-down approach from Brussels, a statement which will likely displease Germany.

My grand daughter was just telling me that if you want to fly from Pa to FLA, you now need a passport. Because driver licences from some states are no longer valid.
with all the phony balony about open borders, what other country has them? Why is it we are not supposed to have the right to choose who comes into our country?
    just wondering

    • elliesmom says:

Apparently, some driver’s licenses don’t meet the standards set by the feds for being difficult to make fake copies of. It’s laughable if it wasn’t so sad. Thousands of people waltzing into our country illegally every year, but a family in PA with proper government ID has to add the cost of passports for the whole family to fly to Disney World.

This PA id thing is such bullshit. They have had years to fix this. I thought they had been given an extension. With the new chip cards anytime a bill is over 50 you have to show id. I could not buy a six pack. People are complaining its racist. Huh how do you open a bank account without id. We are talking several million people cannot fly. Taxpaying citizens cannot board a plane but people can fly in from countries that have no infrastructure????
When I go to visit NYC I take the bus if you buy in advance its a dollar on megabus. One dollar. It only takes me about an hour more than flying. You have to be at airport like four hours early. And you hurry up and wait. I love Amtrak but it goes putt putt through middle PA
Some stuff is insane. Pups mom cannot attend graduation picnic because you have to get a state clearance. I can’t go. I agree with coaching, den parents tutoring. This is broad daylight in a park. Her mom is fond of cutting but her trips to loony bin were all voluntary. She doesn’t have act clearance because who would have thunk you needed a criminal background check to go to a picnic. I turn on the news and there is always some tragic story about a kid. Where is sanity.
Can our betters show common sense. Its like sex offender registry. That should scream stranger danger. I know a guy who picked up a woman in a park. They got caught. Both have to register forever. That seems counter productive. I read one guy was trashed and he took a piss in an alley his dick was out so he is a sex offender. I went through it. Seems in custody cases people often accuse. I fought back. Cleared. Yet I watch local news and some kid is always dead. They spent a month on me. I think it was because I am white. Anyone with one class in psych can see the markers in a child. Instead of going after parents that create real jeopardy they go after suburban white guy. A Philly resident cannot fly to disney but a terrorist gets carte blanche.
With regards to school we have a fab amusement park. Kennywood only the Cyclone on Coney Island beats the Thunderbolt. No act clearance needed. I think a pervert hounding kids is more likely to be at a park than a school picnic.

    Its so fun

    • Mt.Laurel says:

Mothy is spot on. Kennywood still is a beautiful old fashioned amusement park and is on many of the lists for coaster lovers. It is where we had our grade school and high school picnics although Idlewild was much closer and where most of the public schools in our area went for picnics. It is where we went just for a pool and for smaller family picnics.

Idlewild is also one of the oldest parks in the country and a really good pick if you have younger children.

I think Kathy Griffen was fun before plastic surgery. Humor often comes from pain. Carol Burnett I thought was genius before she had her jaw done. She was too self aware after. I still loved Roseanne and joan rivers. They were/are self depracating. Chelsea Handler and Griffen seem to me to be searching for laughs. Its not organic. Same with SNL they are trying too hard. I think Melissa McCarthy is funny as sin as Sean Spicer. To me it doesn’t seem mean. Baldwin doing Trump comes off as hate. I liked Rosie until she had that shit fit with Tom Selleck.
I can’t watch Meryl Streep or Robert De Niro any more. I only see their politics. Chris Evans plays Captain America he has a gay brother. What has Trump done that any queer would fear???? When you are an outsider I think you are drawn to big personalities. There is a reason gays love Barbra, Cher, Tina, Dolly. Trump is so bigly. He manifests alpha. He is not normal. He is large. I do not fit in. I am sort of a freak. Silly as I be I can get an entire straight bar of firefighters singing Evergreen and The Carpenters. Babs with firemen. Lucky me. Top of our lungs– we’ve only just begun. Sharing horizons that are new to us. I was given so much. My progs think common man is stupid. They think anyone making less than 50k is homophobic. Thats not real. Poor people do not survive on hate. I was doing Weekend in New England with firemen. Barry Manilow. No one gives a rats ass I am gay. Every single person I know thinks I am an idiot. I am but we have fun. I even hit Air Supply
