Comey was worried that Trump would lie yet his own testimony proves that Trump did not lie –Comey told him 3x that he wasn’t being investigated and refused to tell that FACT to the public while leaking to MSM.

  2. DeniseVB says:

So far so good. #Winning. Only took 24 hours to set up the new laptop, which included a pc scrub back to factory settings. (I whined more about this downstairs, you haven’t missed much 😉 )

Glancing at my muted tv screen, waiting for PresTrump’s lawyer? WTF?

  3. Dora says:

Here’s a brief bio on Trump’s personal lawyer, Marc Kaswowitz:

  4. helenk3 says:

does anyone know if comey will take a job as lawyer for the DNC, or will he go into private practice?

I didn’t know this was out there.
Going to email to neverTrumpers I know who JUST KNEW that Trump was going to be “exposed criminally”

    • Constance says:

That is a really interesting article. I always thought the surprise firing of Comey when he was 6 hours away from his office was no accident. Charges should be filed against him for leaking classified info. He needs to fry. If he is lucky he will get to commit Arkanscide by shooting himself in the back of the head 3 times before some honest Feds get him.

  7. Venus says:

HA HA! Trump’s lawyer pointed out that memo leak was BEFORE the tweet. I thought the ‘tape’ tweet was AFTER memo came out.

I hope he and his idiot ‘law professor’ friend get prosecuted.

    • Constance says:

If the professor and comey don’t get prosecuted it will just encourage more leaks.

    Comey = nut job

  12. swanspirit says:

James Comey is a dissembling, arrogant son of a bitch, who like many others, thought he could take on Donald Trump, and bring him down. He just got caught in his own trap.
Evidently, our POTUS is a past master at the game of give them enough rope, and they will hang themselves. So now, Comey has proven himself to be a liar, and a leaker. Like so many of the administration preceding DJT, he belongs in jail.
I just happened to catch the expression on Shepard Smith’s face before I turned him off. He looked as if something unpleasant had been shoved up his butt, and remained there. Is it wrong of me to hope whatever it is, it has to be surgically removed?

    • Somebody says:

Maybe he had to rush off to work and forgot to put his gerbil away.

      • CiscoKid says:

There isn’t any problem that can’t be solved by the application of high-explosives.
Det-cord will do in a pinch.

      • mcnorman says:

Oh Somebody…he remembered after the gerbil wanted to get out of that deep, dark hole.

    • AFVet says:

“Is it wrong of me to hope whatever it is, it has to be surgically removed?”

Of course not,…it proves you’re normal.

Chris Matthews: Trump-Russia collusion theory ‘came apart’ with Comey testimony

Liberal MSNBC host Chris Matthews said Thursday the accusation that President Trump directly colluded with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election “came apart” following former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony in front of Congress.

    • CiscoKid says:

The best part of the Trump presidency is not only that America is being made great again, but that every piece of the Obama and Kerry legacy, read fuckery , is being undone.
Still much more work to be done but we’re on the way.

      • DeniseVB says:

In 2004, I voted Kerry/Edwards for Edwards. In 2008, I voted McCain/Palin for Sarah. Both lost, and always thought if my favorites were on top of those tickets, they would have won.

  17. Venus says:

NYT immediately lies after Trump’s attorney says they reported on excerpts from memo before ‘tapes’ tweet by saying tweet was on 5/12 memo story was 5/16 BUT:

    • gram krakka says:

      From #5 in your link.
Richman also said when Comey was fired that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who wrote the letter recommending Comey’s firing, was being taken advantage of by the Trump administration.

“Rod Rosenstein is a useful patsy,” Richman told Politico. “If you have principles and you think you’re being used, you resign.”

Based on Richman’s remarks Comey should have resigned during the Obama administration rather than be Obama’s and Lynch’s “useful patsy” when they got him to echo the Clinton campaign’s characterization of the classified email criminal investigation as a “security matter”.

  21. helenk3 says:

I thought of this scene when comey was testifying today. He really does think of himself as the great and powerful oz. When the curtain is pulled back, he is just a petty man who can not be trusted

  22. Somebody says:

Did any of you watch the hearing? I had to do story time for toddlers at the library, similar I know. When I came in I clicked on FNC and they were talking about how damning Comey’s answer was to one question which blew my mind.

“Director Comey, do you believe you would still be the director of the FBI if you were not fired?” Comey’s devastating answer was; yes, he believed he would still be director…….Well tickle my tits until Tuesday, stop the fucking presses……..If Comey wasn’t fired he’d still be FBI director…….cue dramatic music.

I clicked the TV off, fuck the Forrest Gump talking heads. What a bunch of bullshit.

That’s all I saw or heard of Comey The Testimony. I really hope there isn’t a sequel. This isn’t good drama or comedy.

  23. Dora says:

The Republican Senators are getting nervous. Remember Pres. Trump spoke in Kentucky yesterday about the failure of obamacare..

Senate Republicans are paving the way for legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) fast-tracked the House bill on Thursday, placing it on the Senate calendar and allowing it -as expected- to skip over the committee process.

  24. helenk3 says:

oh this is cute. another comey obstrution of justice?

  25. gram krakka says:

Up until now, veiled orders have not been thought the equivalent of obstruction. On April 10, 2016, President Obama publicly stated that Hillary Clinton had shown “carelessness” in using a private e-mail server to handle classified information, but he insisted that she had not intended to endanger national security (which is not an element of the relevant criminal statute). The president acknowledged that classified information had been transmitted via Secretary Clinton’s server, but he suggested that, in the greater scheme of things, its importance had been vastly overstated.

On July 5, 2016, FBI director James Comey publicly stated that Clinton had been “extremely careless” in using a private email server to handle classified information, but he insisted that she had not intended to endanger national security (which is not an element of the relevant criminal statute). The director acknowledged that classified information had been transmitted via Secretary Clinton’s server, but he suggested that, in the greater scheme of things, it was just a small percentage of the emails involved. Case dismissed.

Could there be more striking parallels? A cynic might say that Obama had clearly signaled to the FBI and the Justice Department that he did not want Mrs. Clinton to be charged with a crime, and that, with this not-so-subtle pressure in the air, the president’s subordinates dropped the case — exactly what Obama wanted, relying precisely on Obama’s stated rationale.

Yet the media yawned. Of course, they’re not yawning now. Now it is Donald Trump, not Barack Obama, sending Comey signals. So now, such signals are a major issue — not merely of obstruction of justice, but of high crimes and misdemeanors.

  34. Dora says:

    Oh No!

  35. Venus says:

well well well look at who finally got a fucking clue at the NYT

    • Venus says:

Spoke too soon –no clue caught.

It seems the MSM Comey testimony narrative has settled down to: yes his testimony was good for Trump *legally* but not *politically* because Comey called Trump a liar and ‘dirtied him up.’ Everyone from Judge Napolitano on FOX, to Maggie at NYT above is saying this and they are saying it is JUST like Comey’s Hillary press conference, which was good for her legally but that ‘meeting on tarmac hurt her more than previously thought’

JFC these idiots never learn. Hillary getting away with ACTUAL wrong doing via a cover up by DOJ/FBI is not the same thing as Trump being vindicated that he did not do the wrong doing the DOJ/FBI was trying to frame him as doing in the press. Furthermore us fly over hicks can tell the difference even if our alleged betters in DC/MSM can’t.

I pray for Trump and his family you think this is hard for us can you imagine being Donald J Trump putting your life and your family’s life on the line to try and save a country full of a lot of people that don’t even f****** understand what’s at risk he is a good man and I pray that he is a great man because he’s going to have to have the fortitude of Job the patience of Jesus and the collective wisdom of the universe to make it through the next 8 years. And to those dimwits who think they’re so smart trying to ruin the country and drag down all of us with them get a clue people you’re an embarrassment. • DandyTIger says:

I’ve noticed as all these appliances get more and more complicated (or as they say, more fully featured), they have more problems. I have heard bad things about Samsung in general for appliances, but who knows. Probably crap shoot with all of them.

Got rid of my fancy computerized models…too much outflow on computer hiccups. Found a hardly used pre computerized Maytag and it’s been working like a charm for 2 years. The Maytag repair guy asked if I wanted to sell it when he saw it.

How important is a stainless steel tub?

        • lyn says:

I love the stainless steel tub on mine.

        • elliesmom says:

A stainless steel tub doesn’t get stained the way a plastic one does especially if you make a lot of spaghetti sauce. More important is an enclosed heating coil. Much less plastic melting if you put your Tupperware on the bottom rack.

        • Jadzia says:

I don’t know if it’s “important” per se, but my current dishwasher is the first SS one that I’ve had, and I love it. Also loved: the shallow top rack for cutlery. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

Alabama Counties Reinstate SNAP Work Requirement; Enrollment Plummets

The Obama administration’s suspension of this work requirement caused an explosion in the number of able-bodied Americans on food stamps. When President Obama signed his economic stimulus legislation into law, the number of able-bodied adults on food stamps more than doubled from 1.9 million in 2008 to 3.9 million in 2010.
