That picture made me laugh…at myself! Many moons ago, we went Halloween camping – did a lot of that kind of thing with the kids and friends. I dressed up as “mom in the morning” – that picture is not too far off from how I looked. Anyway, I won! My kids were simultaneously embarrassed and proud…ahhh, good times.

if this movement is a success it is the end of the US as we know it. Rule of Law , where you need a crime and the evidence to prove guilt will no longer be needed. as someone on tv said last night this whole comey, meuller mess is a coup d’etat without firing a shot. The absolute contempt of today’s democratic party has for the will of the people is out in the open now. The mask started coming off in 2008 and now the ugly face was fully revealed in 2016. They have promoted violence and lawlessness which distracts from what they are really doing. There is a 5th column in today’s government whose main goal is to have the USA be part of a one world system and no longer be a free country
now is the time to be really vigilant and awake and stop this from happening

  4. helenk3 says:

    this is a must read.
an overlooked danger that is happening in the UK and could be happening here

    Thanks VM.
The last thread was becoming a black hole.
I put some Glen Campbell stuff on it this morning and it just disappeared.

  6. DeniseVB says:

Bad week for CNN and NYT too….

Acosta: Trump did not visit Scalise’s bedside (retracted by throwing his fellow journos under the bus)

NYT op/ed: Palin caused Giffords shooting. (retracted with an oopsie, my bad)

CNN: Only Dems were praying before Congressional game. (Not retracted yet, but used the international photo that everyone else noted as BOTH teams).

We have a sloppy and toxic media problem. I hope Sarah sues NYT for defamation.

  7. swanspirit says:

Special counsel Robert Mueller has brought 13 lawyers on board to handle the Russia investigation, with plans to hire more, according to his spokesman Peter Carr.

Mueller has assembled a high-powered team of top investigators and leading experts, including seasoned attorneys who’ve represented major American companies in court and who have worked on cases ranging from Watergate to the Enron fraud scandal.
Among them are James Quarles and Jeannie Rhee, both of whom Mueller brought over from his old firm, WilmerHale. He’s also hired Andrew Weissmann, who led the Enron investigation.

13 lawyer??!! And more on the way?
When Trump said greatest witchhunt of all time, he wasn’t kidding. THIRTEEN lawyers, plans to hire more, and no crime identified.
I hope they all go to hell. There has to be a way to fight back. The Dims once again demonstrate their corruption, their desperation to wield power, and their propensity for wasting taxpayers money.

    • DeniseVB says:

Sounds expensive. Thought the special counsel was no longer needed after the Comey hearing?

      • AFVet says:

I think that is why they brought the term ‘obstruction’ to the fore.
Anybody that tries to reign them in will be obstructing justice.

        • Somebody says:

If not obstruction then abuse of power will be the charge.

This whole special counsel thing is in fact a witch hunt and needs to be shut down. So far all I’ve seen of the supposed Russian interference are claims about Russia Today planting false stories and social media bots. Perhaps both of those are true, but I’m here to tell you Silicon Valley has far superior bots to the Russians. I don’t know about the rest of you but my news feed is filled with liberal tripe and was all during the election. Rarely is there a positive story on my newsfeed about the administration. During the campaign there were constantly negative Trump stories on my feed and gag worthy Clinton stories.

The press has been overwhelmingly negative toward DJT during and after the election. Why aren’t we investigating the MSM and Silicon Valley for their collusion and interference in our election??

There is no there-there with the underlying claims of Russian interference, certainly not enough to warrant a special counsel or 13 fucking lawyers with more on the way. This is a deep state coup attempt plain and simple.

          • AFVet says:

As far as abuse of power is concerned, the limits are laid out in the constitution.
But then the courts can always tie that up forever to, re: Trump’s attempts to limit immigration by relying on a statue that clearly outlines his power in such matters.

          • AFVet says:

And where does it say that there can be only one special prosecutor?
Turn some good ‘ol boy/gal loose on Hillary, Obama, Clinton foundation, et al.
Set Judge Jeanine loose on them.

    • helenk3 says:

but do not be a lawyer defending anyone in the Trump family. you will lose your place in the “IN CROWD”

    • Constance says:

So the President needs to start tweeting daily how much this is costing the taxpayers.

  8. helenk3 says:

I honestly never thought we would see this in the USA.
I was taught that freedom of speech was a right that many fought and died for as was to be protected at all times.

    • helenk3 says:

an example of free expression. even if it is not popular.

i do not agree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it. is a creed I grew up with. now I see free speech stifled and vilified at campuses all over this country . Where will this end?

      • lateblum says:

One would have hoped that the shooting of Mr. Scalise might stopped the hate-filled speech. But just before the game yesterday, Ms. Pelosi again employed divisive speech to blame PDJT for the hate.
and the beat goes on, on, on, on, on …….

Alinsky Rules for Radicals. The thirteenth rule: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. I didn’t know this but back in the 70s, this book was printed by the government and given away for free via Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) 1971. I heard it on a radio program last night. It was not the first time I had heard it either.

          • lateblum says:

It was mandatory reading for social work masters program in Chicago. I wouldn’t be surprised if it still is. Especially in the UofC(hicago) SSA (social service administration)

          • Jadzia says:

I think you know I went to U of C. Fourth year, I BRIEFLY considered attending SSA for grad school. Until I compared the tuition to what a social worker actually makes. Aaaaand that was the end of that.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Says That Donald Trump Could Be The Greatest President In History

“Well, I think Donald Trump can be, you know, any kind of president he wants. He’s actually — he has this extraordinary opportunity because he’s coming into office less burdened by obligation than probably any president in our history with the possible exception of Andrew Jackson,” Kennedy continued.

    • AFVet says:

He has an extraordinary opportunity to slam on the brakes and take this country back from the brink of destruction after 8 years of corruption due to the liberal agenda.

All he needs is a congress that is willing to comply with his efforts.

I wonder if she is still bitching about the appearance of being a patriot and supporting the nation. Who am I kidding? I’m surprised she shows up for anything that doesn’t, in the end, provide financial gains.

        • Constance says:

I’m actually surprised at how fast the Obama’s are fading. I would expect them to be out front with ideas and programs, instead the Democrats present as raving lunatics deranged and witch hunting with no likable person of leader quality. I would like to see a woman President but the women they try to suggest just look like central casting puppets and don’t seem strong enough.

          • DeniseVB says:

I think our first woman President will be from the Republican party, have always been impressed with the quality of their lady reps and govs. Meanwhile, the ladies on the left are always a hot mess.

          • lateblum says:

The bronco bamas have no ideas to help anyone but themselves. Did you see that the Boston Globe is “encouraging” Harvard to name bronco as its new President? I’m sure that’s an original idea of bronco or whoever is pulling the strings. It would benefit bronco and maybe Harvard, that’s it.
I agree about the Dems having no one of real quality. Certainly no woman that I’ve seen, either.

ValJar is already living there, and from what I hear, she will be joined by Reid, Kerry and a few others of #TheResistance. My sources (MSM interns) have conflicting stories on whether HRC will be included

I’m carrying over a post by Venus from last night… I just sent this message to both my senators. What they do after this, I can only imagine. but i did send it.

    Venus says:
    June 15, 2017 at 8:31 pm (Edit)

Just emailed my Senators. It might help if enough of us do it and it can’t hurt.

The tragic events yesterday show how far the left is willing to go to stop the Trump agenda.
We should no longer attempt to give this insanity credence. Trump won fair and square — and against all odds. He won 30 states — the most any Republican has since Reagan/GHWB. The left’s ‘resistance’ movement and attempts to stall Trump’s agenda with this special counsel nonsense is nothing more than their refusal to accept the results of our free and fair election and is a true threat to our system of government.
We the people gave the GOP both chambers of Congress and the White House, yet Congress is acting like the Democrats are still in charge. Did the Democrats allow the appointment of special counsel to investigate Fast and Furious or Benghazi? Of course not — and those things actually happened and brave Americans died, unlike with this phony Russian ‘collusion’ idiocy.
Please stop the insanity — end the special counsel (and its waste of taxpayer money) and start fast tracking the Trump agenda — repeal/replace ACA, tax reform and the WALL.
Also, defund NEA, which sponsors fantasies of assassinations in the guise of Shakespeare, NPR with its smug hatred of us “flyover hicks,” and mandate ala carte cable.
Finally, please do not say “both sides are guilty” of the inflamed rhetoric — it isn’t rhetoric that caused that lunatic to try to assassinate Republicans, it is the left’s acceptance and approval of violence against the right — real, such as the riots at Berkley, sending agitators into Trump rallies, and occupy/antifa/Black Lives Matter, as well as images, Kathy Griffin and the NYC Julius Caesar.
Please represent us normal people who want to live, work, raise our families and worship God in peace and safety.
Thank you in advance for representing me in DC.

I think the goal is to stop Trump before he can MAGA. These depressed towns cannot be allowed to come back to life. If people look around and say it doesn’t have to be like this. The powers that be are all screwed. My congress critter only spouts platitudes. I did have Tim Murphy but we were redistricted. No one ever runs against Mike Doyle. He’s a putz. . I always vote for myself.
If this coke plant goes back to full operating levels which it has not seen since the 70’s it will have a profound effect. I think it could shatter the dim hold on women.
I may not have an advanced degree in a social science from a pretentious school. I do not need to create bogus surveys with leading questions. I have to orbs next to my nose that tell my my betters are full of shite. A down economy women suffer most. My cousin is 53. She went to what they called in 1982 Secretary school. She worked for 25 years at a paper company. It was no thrills dead end but decent pay with union bennies. No warning this very large plant said see ya we are going to Mexico. She can’t make babies so at least there is not that expense. She cannot find a job. I say its harder for women because in my experience they either are sadled with kids or are reluctant to pull up stakes. I know guys that had to leave family to go work in boom towns. No housing. They bought campers. Marriages fall apart.
My congress critter is so offensive. He should represent the people in his district not the dim party.

I have an advantage viewing this stuff. I was only a pretentious ass for a few years. I would beat the shit out of me with an ugly stick if I met 22 year old me today. The betters have decided entire communities are disposable in order to fufill their messianic dream of one world government. These are actual lives being destroyed. Towns. Thousands of people. I have, from a distance, watched my hometown melt. We would sleep under trees or on the porch. Ride our bikes in the wee hours when we thought everyone was a sleep. It was working class. We mowed our lawns. Trimmed our bushes. Sold seeds door to door. I had a paper route. Snow came there was an army of kids with shovels. We were black and white. The only thing I really thought about race was about food. Black families made food epic. We only did that on Sundays. That hardly drove us to racial riots
Now that town is over run with cheap heroin. There is not one grocery store. People live on welfare and eat from family dollar. Frozen shit food way over priced. I admit give me a few cocktails I will eat those salisbury steak tv dinners. They are ten for ten near me. 3.59 for one at family dollar. There is not one bus that serves area. Broken Windows theory is proven there. Churches are gone. Both Catholic schools closed. State took over the school because it was so bad.
It really hurts me to see it so broken. Its the kind of place one of the NRO writers said needs to die off. Harf says jihadists decapitate kids because they need good jobs but the struggling Americans who turn to drugs after economic opportunity was systematically stolen from them deserve to die.
    These people still vote democrat.
During this steady demise of a once vibrant diverse small city a few kids provided a glimpse at a better future.
Won 61 games in a row

I see Trump providing the same hope these players did.

      Good read ! Thanks.

Like most of us felt here, when Obama won re-election in 2012, we got over it pretty quickly, though frightened of what kind of mandate that may have given him. We moved on looking forward to 2016 while grovelling over BO’s daily destruction to our country while he hip-hopped with Bey and his other celebrity buddies. Meowing over Michelle’s fashion choices and overall loving our ‘Merica. Meanwhile, our media went to hell in a hand basket and have probably become our greatest threat to our freedoms by telling us what to think !

      • Constance says:

Trump needs to demand a mandatory A la carte cable TV option. The Cnn and MSNBCs of the world would die a fast death if they couldn’t extort mandatory fees from everyone who signs up for cable while gate keeping out new providers from the channel line up.

  19. DeniseVB says:

The price of “Twitchy” fame (lol)……

  20. DeniseVB says:

Enjoying Trump’s Cuba speech, he sounds so confident and compassionate, great audience very receptive.

I hope this means he’ll have a nice weekend break at Mar-a-Lago. The left will bitch, but I’m reading about the Kennedys now, they spent every weekend of his shortened term (except for Bay of Pigs weekend) in Palm Beach, Cape Cod or their Virginia farm. Camp David was iffy, but Jackie could ride her horses there while the farm was being built. JFK could not be President today!

  21. helenk3 says:

I am listening to the President’s speech on Cuba. He has great researcher and he listens to them. In every speech he makes it personal to him and the audience. He did today what backtrack refused to do and we should be proud. That from a not gungho Trump supporter

  22. mothy67 says:

My faith really gets prog heads to explode
I am Catholic and while I would consider jet setting its just not me.
The idea of dedicating my life in service to what I think of as god makes sense to me.
It has nothing to do with anyone else. I was running so fast to stand still. I hated Forrest Gump so much. I would call people morons for liking it. Was all Ginny. I was running. I went to 4 colleges, 7 cities at least 50 jobs. I could not sit with myself. I ran from me. I just smile when I hear Landslide.
Time has given me a pass. I avoided by chance so many things. Drugs and sex I am no Mormon.
I am 50 going on 51. I have had moderate success. Still with a gold card not thrilled about living.
A black guy trying to get into a rehab following his identical twins suicide. They will not let him in because he cannot read. They used RET or REBT. Its rational emotive behavior therapy. 90 day program lots of workbooks. I said fuck it I will teach him to read. I did. No one tells me I cannot do something. I guess if someone said be clean I might fail. I am such a slob.
Anyhow kid is almost 11. I stepped in to save her. No one seemed to care.
We tried to watch The Purge. Poorly written dumb movie. She feels safe watching horror with me. The boys all talk about horror movies. Its boring. Kid feels with me trust.
She is moving on. I chose to stick with her. I am so proud of who she has become. Wonderful young girl.
I ran around all night did drugs sex clubs. I woke up so many times maybe hundreds not knowing where I was. I should be dead or in jail.
An illiterate and a bastard child made me “woke”. I am 50. I gave what I had to the people I allowed in my life.
I am not yet broke but I need an average job. 10 an hour would stop the bleeding. I was never more content than when I give. Getting a job to have a job might leave me empty.
I think about entering a monastery at my age.

  24. DeniseVB says:

    True story 😉

  25. Jadzia says:

So here’s what’s going on in our neck of the woods:

    • Jadzia says:

Well, that’s not very informative. What happened is that NKM, the most prominent woman in French politics (a “republicain”) was knocked out at a campaign rally yesterday. Apparently some guy came right up to her (which it’s possible to do here), shoved a bunch of literature in her face and somehow ended up knocking her down, which knocked her out, and she spent the night in the hospital. The weird thing is that apparently he was yelling at her that it was HER fault that the second most-prominent woman in French politics(*), Anne Hidalgo, a socialist, is the mayor of Paris (NKM ran for the position and lost, but that was a few years ago).

So that’s a big steaming pile of WTF. Politicians get attacked here all the time, but John Oliver is right: usually the attacks involve pastry ingredients such as flour and eggs.

(*)OK, these are the only two prominent women in French politics other than, of course, Marine. Is France ready for a woman leader? I’m not sure of the answer to that question but I’m leaning toward no.

    • gram krakka says:

Very impressive insight by Andrew McCarthy. He effectively lays out a timeline of Comey’s inaction that destroys the notion that Trump was obstructing Comey’s investigation of the Russian collusion “matter”. Mueller and his Democrat attorney investigators should be able to quickly determine that obstruction is a big nothing burger. But are they really determined to find something, anything prosecutable to pin on Trump or someone associated with his campaign in order to justify appointment of a special prosecutor and salvage the reputation of the Federal Bureau of Matters?

As my daughter say, a President should be able to brain storm ideas, think out loud and yes even vent with their White House staff and top level appointees without worrying that it will be leaked and distorted.

  26. Mt.Laurel says:

latest update: Docs say Scalise still in critical condition and will need more surgery.

    • DeniseVB says:

But “improving” ? I watch the Medstar briefing, gave me hope 😉 From the description of his injuries, sounds like his lower abdomen went threw an Osterizer.

      • swanspirit says:

He is the ICU, but his vitals are stable, that is very good.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

The live stream kept pixelating on my computer and I am surrounded by bots – so I have the volume down really low – but I think they said stable with improvement in his vital signs. They did not appear as grim today but he has a long road.

Osteriizer on full speed – and now they are trying to put all those fragments back together.

        • AFVet says:

If his hip was shattered by the round there’s probably bone fragments all over the place.
          Could explain the organ damage.

Wikileaks Reveals Mueller 2009 Trip to Deliver Uranium Sample to Russia
    Evidently Mueller sucks Russian Uranium.

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller is winning plaudits from both sides of the aisle for being named by the Department of Justice to serve as special counsel to investigate allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election and rumors of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

But given Democrat abhorrence of all things Russian, how will they react to Wikileaks’ disclosure that in 2009, then-Director Mueller delivered a sample of stolen highly enriched uranium to the Russians on a trip there.

Find out what prompted the Mueller mission to Russia and if it might raise questions regarding his current efforts to investigate the allegations of Russian meddling in the election. The answers are found on the next page.
