…e’rybody’s a victim. Even spies in Deep State®! SRSLY
National security officials across the federal government say they are seeing new restrictions on who can access sensitive information, fueling fears in the intelligence and security community that the Trump administration has stepped up a stealthy operation to smoke out leakers.
Officials at various national security agencies also say they are becoming more concerned that the administration is carefully tracking what they’re doing and who they’re talking to — then plotting to use them as a scapegoat or accuse them of leaks.
Let me translate from victimspeak. Basically, the well-paid guys at CIA, FBI, NSA, and umpteen other national security agencies, are a little worried because Daddy is laying some traps in the cookie jar. And Daddy is plotting punishments for the offenders, which, in the minds of these spy-children, are unbound by the limits of their imaginations. Skies the limit, fellas!
Oh, but they aren’t done. Well, one of them isn’t done. One of them is really super-worried about his or her conversations with reporters!
One U.S. official voiced concern over even talking to their superiors about a benign call from a reporter. The agency this official works for had started limiting staff’s access to information, they said, and it would make it far easier to figure out who was talking to people in the media.
There was suspicion, the official said, that the agency was even tracking what they printed, to keep tabs on what information they were accessing.
Here’s an idea. Maybe if you have gone through the process of getting a security clearance such that you can work in the world of Deep State, maybe, just maybe you should not be talking to fucking reporters. Full stop.
Oh, but the poor victimized dears. Daddy is just so hard on them!! I mean, he sicced the FBI on his own peeps!
There was a particular frustration in the White House about the investigative and national security leaks — along with the details of Trump’s foreign phone calls — that led White House officials to call the FBI and ask for leak investigations.
I guess y’all remember how leaks were handled with Obama, right? Y’all remember the report that said he was the most aggressive pursuer of leaks since Nixon, right?
But we didn’t hear a peep from these whiners then, because Team Alpha Victim was in charge then.
Listen, Deep State, and anybody else who wants to flout their mantle of victimhood: I give zero fucks. None about you, your organization, and that goes double if you’re a spy or a journalist. Do not bother to preach to me about experts and their triflings; I’m already well-schooled in how you monsters bend the disciplines of science and statistics to meet your pre-conceived notions. You brandish reports and findings like the priests of old brandished golden-leafed Bibles and crucifixions. Fuck that noise.
You are NOT victims. You are the victimizers, you just don’t know it yet because you aren’t reading your own history. But know this: Your history will be written, and not by you or your children or your children’s children. WE, THE PEOPLE are going to be writing this history. You can network the fuck out of this, get all your friends together for a play-yard brawl of epic proportions, but know that we will knock you right down. You have bullied us, abused us, you have used your positions for purposes of exploitation of the very people who are responsible for electing your bosses. What did you think was going to happen?
Here’s what we thought would happen: Swamp drained. And that’s how I and many other Trump supports see this shit show. We see it as President Trump loudly and PUBLICLY challenging that swamp and working on that drain. If a spy or 50 gets flushed down the drain in this process, GREAT. That’s multi-tasking; drain the swamp and balance the budget, Mr. President.
