This is Why CNN’s Jim Acosta Never Gets Called On

He’s an amateur, and boorish, rude, and wrong. He basically just repeated every stupid, partisan complaint he hears everyday from his leftist media friends. Then he did the journalistic equivalent of crying in his beer about his grandpa. You’re clearly not ready for primetime, Jim.

I fucking despise the media. You?

I do hate the media. They are all so phony.

This story comes from CNN, so it might not even be true. If it is true I’d say the NAACP must be in drastic need of attention.

    • Miranda says:

Apparently, it’s true, but it isn’t for any physical safety issue. It’s because of an upcoming law that makes it harder to sue due to racial discrimination. By ‘harder’, you apparently have to prove you were discriminated against.

      • Dora says:

You have to prove it? Well, that’s taking things too far. (Sarc)

        • Lulu says:

You have to prove that it is the ONLY reason you were fired. If you were constantly tardy, beat up your boss, stole money, etc you cannot then claim racial discrimination.

          • lateblum says:

Decades ago (probably in the 70’s), my husband had to fire a black man. You should have seen the documentation that was necessary in order to support that termination. This man had consistently come into work late – when he came in at all. He did not complete even one assigned IT project. He’d never had a good job evaluation, and should have been fired way before my husband had become his administrative position. And even with every bit of documentation, my husband was threatened by the NAACP.
The good times never end, do they?

OT but this is a special day for Mr. Bennett.

  4. DeniseVB says:

The media would be more interesting if they covered the clueless Democrats more. I’m just sick of the 24/7 Trump bashing and never his accomplishments. The other day a news guy was wondering why Trump’s supporters aren’t sick of him yet? Funny thing, it’s the media we’re sick of, especially after they seemed to be on vacation for 8 years !

  6. Lulu says:

Acosta sounded like most progs. The Statute of Immigration, that big green thing in NY harbour, is a “founding document” based upon a poem! It was a flash back to Wolf Blitzer and his brilliance on Jeopardy. Dumbo Jim then shouted Shut Up Racist! The very special elite people really are morons.

  7. DeniseVB says:

    Media. Sigh.

    • Right? I saw this a couple of days ago and thought of The Cult if True Victimhood. Now Harvard educated people who make 6 figures of Irish heritage are being victimized. The term oppression has no meaning anymore.

Speaking as a Mick, we do not offend. We just keep fighting (and drinking).

Another major loss to me this year due to drugs, my daughter’s godfather. I believe he suffered from depression on and off through the years and even though we consistently communicated with him and invited him to our gatherings, he inconsistently appeared in and out of our lives. We should have done more, that’s what we always say after. It was fentanyl that got him. We had no idea he was doing anything more than weed. My daughter says the narcon doesn’t really work on this drug. A personal tragedy for us.

  12. lateblum says:

This is for all you GOT peeps. As you know, I have No Idea what GOT is, was, or ever shall be…. But, when I saw this, I thought of all you who looove you some GOT.

They are going after my flag, man! Fuck those motherfucking goddamm SJWs, all of them.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — During a social media campaign to derail HBO’s planned modern-day Southern slavery drama, one Twitter user’s posts about the history of the Maryland flag got a lot of attention.

“What a lot of people don’t know is that the Maryland flag is half confederate,” @benjancewicz wrote, using the hashtag #NoConfederate.

    And, he’s kind of right.

Yes, even though Maryland was a Union state, the flag — which is featured on the state’s license plate and is a popular adornment for clothing and accessories — does contain some Confederate symbolism.

The flag’s older history is tied to George Calvert, an English politician and colonizer who more or less founded the Maryland colony, although he died just weeks before the charter for the state was approved in 1632. The settlement of the area was left to his firstborn son Cecil and his second son Leonard Calvert was the first colonial governor of the province.

“George Calvert, first Lord Baltimore, adopted a coat of arms that included a shield with alternating quadrants featuring the yellow-and-black colors of his paternal family and the red-and-white colors of his maternal family, the Crosslands,” state archives say.

“When the General Assembly in 1904 adopted a banner of this design as the state flag, a link was forged between modern-day Maryland and the very earliest chapter of the proprietorship of the Calvert family.”

But the red and white part of the flag, known as the Crossland arms, was also the design flown by Marylanders who sympathized with the South in the Civil War, according to state records.

“During the war, Maryland-born Confederate soldiers used both the red-and-white colors and the cross bottony design from the Crossland quadrants of the Calvert coat of arms as a unique way of identifying their place of birth,” the records say. “Pins in the cross bottony shape were worn on uniforms, and the headquarters flag of the Maryland-born Confederate general Bradley T. Johnson was a red cross bottony on a white field.”

During the slow process of reconciliation after the Civil War ended in Union victory in 1865, a “flag incorporating alternating quadrants of the Calvert and Crossland colors began appearing at public events” in the state.

The origins of the flag including both designs is not known, but state records say it was being flown by October 1880.

In 1888, the flag was carried by Maryland National Guard troops escorting Governor Elihu E. Jackson at the dedication ceremonies for the Maryland monument at the Gettysburg Battlefield.

The next year, the Fifth Regiment, Maryland National Guard, adopted the flag as its regimental color, becoming the first organization to adopt it officially.

And, as previously mentioned, it was declared the official state flag by the General Assembly in 1904.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

This bugs me to no end as well. Its a flag and it represents the state’s heritage. Don’t like it- move into the cesspool of DC.

      • swanspirit says:

Just because some Confederates used part of it, doesn’t make it Confederate. The actual flag is the real heraldry of Lord Baltimore, from his maternal and paternal families, and predates the Civil War .

Senators and staff cleared to testify at Menendez trial

Fellow senators, along with current and former staffers, have receive the official go-ahead from the Senate to testify at Sen. Bob Menendez’s upcoming bribery trial in federal court in New Jersey.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, acting with the backing of Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, offered a resolution Wednesday night authorizing the testimony. The measure, which does not specify which senators or aides have been subpoenaed, passed by unanimous consent.

Do you believe they have fabricated something to take our President down. The rethugs don’t have his back.

    • Constance says:

Could be, and both establishment Dems and Republicans are stupid enough to think Trump voters will just say “Oh OK, I guess our guy can’t be President because all you swamp people say so” and quietly go away.

    • Venus says:

The voters gave the GOP both chambers of Congress and the White House and all the GOP has given them is investigations of Trump.

My FINANCIAL ADVISOR won’t shut her trap about Trump, notwithstanding my polite hints that she’s not actually preaching to the choir. I’m probably the poorest of this lady’s clients (the only reason I have her is to deal with retirement savings accounts that are stuck in America until whatever the magic birthday is), you would think that she would have the sense to realize that at least some of the people she works for don’t hate the guy.

  31. Constance says:

So did the Congress say they were in recess or not. I’m kind of hoping Trumps big announcement tonight is some controversial recess appointments.

  32. Venus says:

The stupid on Twitter is so thick today it is unreadable. The left & NeverTrump is hysterical over Mueller grand jury, which is SOP and could be for nothing more than subpoenas of documents. And the right is hysterical over a McMasters letter allowing Susan Rice access to HER classified materials (ie stuff she worked on in Obama WH), which could just be so she can be questioned on them (i.e., she flipped). These same idiots swore McMasters was sending 150,000 ground troops to Syria so of course they think this letter means McMasters has given Rice access to current info, which, on the face of the document itself, it does not do.

  33. Anthony says:

Trump totally going for it in W VA. Just put a match to EVERYTHING lol. So much for reaching across the aisle…..

  35. DandyTIger says:

Great rally in West By God Virginia. Might be best one I’ve seen. Nice to see Trump’s Army out in full force, reminding the swamp that we’re here and if they destroy democracy, there will be consequences.

    • Anthony says:

Dude was totally on fire lmao. Money quote: “Hey – are there any Russians in the House? Any Russians here tonight??”
      I. Was. ROLLING!!!

Seriously, it was a pretty clever show of strength. His base is enormous and more enthusiastic than any other political rally I can recall with the exception of primaries. It was a statement from the people to the establishment that in no uncertain terms said “Fuck with us at your own peril. We are legion. We WILL prevail”.

    • taw46 says:

Ed Rollins said just tonight, these type of actions lead to revolution and civil war.
