I did not hear it (if it has been Barry they would have had it on all the screens in the meetings rooms) but read the transcript. Very nicely done – and I loved that one of the very few uses of first person was to remind the UN – very gently – that they are in his home town (emphasis – unspoken but clear – as guests) and to say he was there on behalf of the people of the USA people.

      • mcnorman says:

        It’s tough on the snowflakes Mt.Laurel. 🙂

      • DeniseVB says:

You’ll have to stay with Fox to catch any hint of how great the speech was, even some of the Dem “strategists were smitten 😉 It’s why I like to catch his speeches and events live before our “journalists” slice and dice the soundbites.

        • Mt.Laurel says:

That is why I go to the transcripts – since I often not able to listen without having to use an earpiece and keep eagle eye out for naysayers. Unlike several of his immediate predecessors – I got back and listen afterwards.

Beautifully written and yet done in such a way that works with Pres Trump’s style.

I watched the first part of the speech on MSNBC. Their knowing smirks are creepy. Their perspective is the speech was aimed at Trumps base who will probably love it but are to stupid to realize that he violated protocol by giving it and people of the world will not like us because of the protocol violations. I really find their smug faces weird.

    • foxyladi14 says:

      How did he violate protocol?

      • Constance says:

I think the implication was there are magic phrases and magic words which constitute gestures to certain countries which he left out. They sort of reminded me of a bunch of Olympics ice skating judges talking about esoteric crap.

        • DeniseVB says:

LOL, ice skating judges, good analogy. If you think Dance Moms and Stage Moms are bad, you haven’t heard of the Rink Moms. 😛

        • Lulu says:

…certain countries which he left out… because they don’t count, no one gives a shit what they think, and they better get on the stick or get the hell out of the way. Pussy-footing, play-acting, and ass-kissing is over.

    • DeniseVB says:

Any “normal” citizen will think that speech was simply “America’s Back Baby ! Yee Haw! F**K PC protocol” Amirite? 😉

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I think it means he was not at all PC and ventured into areas that are no go zones for the very special UN variety of snowflakes. To them the Dread Pirate Trump showed up with a parrot on his shoulder waiving a sharp sabre, hoisted the Jolly Roger and told them to get with the program or walk the plank.

    • Venus E. Lee says:

My aunt in Athens Greece already called to tell me how everyone there LOVED it.

“Our betters” in the media wrong again.

  2. DeniseVB says:

At least other countries appreciate our FLOTUS and how she is inspiring them ❤

Another irrelevant has-been looking for free ink & air time by ‘demanding’ that President Trump do exactly as he wants him to do. People in hell have been ‘demanding’ ice water for years I ‘demand’ that Morgan Freeman go fuck himself on live TV during prime time. Difference is I’m smart enough to know it won’t happen.

    So here’s the deal.
Hoisting a few at a local pub that is very close to a major transportation hub, trains, buses, taxis.
    A lot of local people.
A mixed clientele. Office workers, auto mechanics, construction workers and retirees.
Anyway, the conversations were all about President Trumps address to the UN.
I tell you what, when the media goes into anti-Trump mode, they are going to be so freaking wrong.
People here loved it, two favorite parts are Trump calling out the UN for having human rights violators sitting there and especially saying “America first” as other foreign leaders should think of their countries, to the applause of many of the members.
    Lots of enthusiasm.
Last time I saw this much was when the Cubs won the World Series.
The msm is really going to drop the ball on this one.
    But don’t they always?

Oh good grief, WaPo was ranking 2020 Democrat Hopefuls in my Sunday supplement local paper….it’s by an Aaron Blake, can’t find the linky to A-Aron’s article, trust me….this was his list:

    15. Marke Zuckerberg
    14. LA Mayor Eric Garcetti
    13. Tim Kaine
    12, Deval Patrick
    11. Oprah Winfrey
    10. Sherrod Brown
    9. Andrew Cuomo\
    8. Corey Booker
    7. Kamala Harris
    6. Kirsten Gilliibrand
    5. Jerry Brown
    4.Eliz Warren
    3. Chris Murphy, CT Senator?
    2. Joe Biden
    1. Bernie Sanders.

    Godspeed Dems, you dumbf**ks 😀

    • CiscoKid says:

The only way the Dem’s can win in 2020 is by continuing to promise free stuff, soak the rich to pay for that free stuff and most importantly, voter fraud via illegal aliens voting.
      That is quit some list.
Not one winner in the bunch.

But, the USA aka Trump supporters are racist. Check out this little gem.

Sorry I missed his speech, maybe I can watch it this weekend.

In other news I’m old, when the hell did that happen?? I pulled something cleaning the yard this weekend. I ignored it and trudged on, bad move on my part. I can barely walk and damn my hip and leg hurt. Picking up grandkids didn’t help. Come on weekend!

In good news a huge convoy of electric workers from KY and PA, as well as some FL crews rolled in this morning! Hopefully everybody else in the area has their power restored now because I saw them leave about 8pm. Guess what else I saw? Grocery trucks rolling in!!! I think things are finally returning to normal. Hopefully those in the keys and SW Florida will soon follow in returning to normal.

I wonder how TAW is doing?

    • Mt.Laurel says:

Glad things are getting back to normal. But Mother Nature did not think a hurricane was enough and conspired to ensure your muscles let you know you don’t bounce back as fast as those grandkids.
