My neighbor is looking for a home for two cats (gorgeous 8 yo long haired ones, not sure if they are Persian). I think she inherited them from a friend who reloacted overseas.

Friends for 25 yrs, Weinstein distributed all of his movies, but he had no idea. Yeah, right.

As they say, the silence is deafening πŸ˜€

    • taw46 says:

The left – biggest hypocrites ever. And they are all congratulating each other for being so “brave” speaking out now. Brave would be to do so when others were silent, to be willing to risk your career to get the truth out and stop this.

      • DeniseVB says:

I’m sure Harvey’s unwanted advances were probably 99% consensual, women have been throwing themselves at rich, powerful men for centuries. Being rich and powerful and ugly in Hollywood makes for some young and pretty pickings πŸ˜€

        • John Denney says:

Yet Trump was vilified when he made that observation. Go figger.

          • DeniseVB says:

It’s in the Democrats’ playbook. See: Hillary, she “cares” about women ya’know. Almost 2 decades as “friends” with that perv and taking over a million dollars from him, did I tell you she really, really cares about women? πŸ˜› She knew.

      • lateblum says:

I don’t watch, so I can’t give first-hand knowledge, but I heard Sambee skewered Weinstein on her show this week. I hope I heard correctly.

      • Constance says:

True, at this point Hollywooders are nothing but trying to be the biggest victim and being part of the popular crowd.

Can we expect horror stories from the music industry soon. Justin Beiber has already spoke of it and got almost no notice. When the crimes against children come out I hope it buries the freaks.”

Corey Feldman and Elijah Wood talked about this too iirc

      • mothy says:

Let’s hope to save his own self prison Weinstein rats out other predators. I’m sure he knows where bodies are buried. Blast the names of pedophiles to avoid potential charges. Then lock the demons up and throw away the key.

    • DeniseVB says:

I think the music industry must have their own sewer system draining into the swamp too. Loved the movie Dreamgirls, which pretty much tapped into that….. here’s Jennifer Hudson working on her Oscar πŸ™‚

Friday the 13th is looking like a very lucky day. Trump just crushed Obamacare: the CSRs are done and the exchanges are now almost certain to collapse. Is it too early to crack open a cold one in celebration?

  7. Dora says:

For TCM fans. When it came out this movie was condemned by the Church, the reason being that God gave us all free will. We weren’t supposed to believe that a person could be born bad.

The movie is outdated, but the story is still good. Patty McCormack is terrific in her role. What a great little actress she was.

    Enjoy.

        • 49erDweet says:

Davis (became) heavily invested in support illegal aliens and the transgendered. (Some things never change). He also signed off on eliminating in state power plants just before a world wide fuel/power shortage era, costing CA billion$. And, he began acception “donations” for official access. Rotten to the core. He was asking to be fired.

Sigh. My dd got thrown out of her Catholic high school( late 90’s) for arguing with a nun that the Crusades were the most violent people on earth in all of history of violence. That is, after her desk was moved to the hall and the nun could still hear her.

The elitists also always have very negative comments about groups that have been created to try and give child performers a support network.

Paul Peterson started one after all the crap he saw his contemporaries go through from abuse of all kinds both on and off the set and often by parents/guardians both directly and indirectly or by others often with the OK of said parents/guardians. I think with Jay (? Last Name – kid on Dennis the Menace among other roles). He has been called every name in the book and the powers that be swear that that stuff those silly current/former child actors claim never really happened. But it is clear from those who had parents and TV families that treated them well – that they know they were lucky. Many did not have adults that encouraged them but also protected them, did not pilfer their earnings and let them make the decision to take work or turn it down or even walk away from the business when it was no longer something they wanted.

So here is my Friday the 13th story. The carpet in the basement was wet this morning. The wall seemed sort of squishy so we cut part of it out. It was soaked and also covered in hairy black mold. Eventually we cut out an area 4′ by 8′ wide. A 70 year old lead piece between the toilet and drain stack failed. Sewage was spilling out inside the wall! With the wall down we can smell there is a problem. Meanwhile I had my annual “evaluate high blood pressure” appointment today. Surprisingly my blood pressure is higher that usual and my drugs are now changed. While there they caught me in one arm with a flu shot and the other with the pneumonia shot and now my arms are killing me. Now shifting to the semi good news, we found a plumber who came around noon, he fixed the plumbing disaster and pulled out more wall board and part of the ceiling, he took the moldy plaster with him. The bill was only $1800. Why do I feel lucky?
