To be fair most people don’t know but an ATC can be AWOL, just as serious as military infraction. ATC’s can be ordered into work, law enforcement sent to take you I’m if you don’the comply. ATC’s can be called up during times of war and sent to work on AWACS or carriers, they are required to be cross trained.
