Today’s top story? Trump wanted to fire Mueller, but he didn’t. Which somebody who was there told somebody who wasn’t there who told a reporter who told everybody. And Trump denies it, so you know it must be true. I can’t wait until some Democrat demands a special prosecutor.
This is triple-hearsay. Even if true, so what? It isn’t a crime. It isn’t an impeachable offense. Maybe if he had actually fired Mueller there would have been a politcal price to pay, but he didn’t do it.
In other important news, apparently the curator of the Guggenheim thought it would be a funny joke to offer to loan the White House a gold-plated toilet. Ha ha. And that guy who wrote a book full of lies about Trump now claims The Donald is banging Nikki Haley. And Melania Trump is in Florida, so she must be mad at her husband for banging that pornstar too.
Meanwhile, Riverdaughter is concerned about Trump’s “stamina” but I have no idea what that is about. Maybe she thinks he has too much of it.

Seeing those Bald Eagles reminded me that the day after Trump won, I noticed a Bald Eagle flying around our house, landed in a tree in the back yard, sat for 15-20 minutes and flew away. First time I had seen an eagle around our house and haven’t seen one since; that was some weird shit.

What happens if DACA expires before Congress acts on it?
Trump could extend it beyond March 5, but if he does, the 10 states will probably go ahead with their lawsuit to end it. If he does not extend it, they become subject to deportation once their authorization runs out. Some already are approved through March 2020, the last approved (staggered authorizations). The administration has already said it would not go after them for deportation unless they are criminals. None can travel internationally after expiration, as they would not be allowed to re-enter the country.
There are other issues that vary by state, such as no longer permitted a drivers license, permit to work, free tuition.
If my eyes roll any farther back in my head they will be spinning like slot machine wheels.
Just saw Trump touch down in DC. Was hoping he’d go right to Palm Beach where Melania is, and definitely for some deserved downtime. Can’t wait for the media to blurt *trouble in paradise” headlines tomorrow. It’s got a great story behind it too, I hope Dora will share, but I do remember it was an exciting journey from Long Island to Trump Tower and a very long line. He still treated them like they were the only people in line.
For contrast, I was at the National Air and Space Museum and noticed Sally Ride was signing her book (no line, her and assistant were all alone). Decided what a cool book to buy for my twin grandgirlies AND meet and support Sally. So I bought the book and got in the no-line. Only to have her assistant tell me, *Do Not Talk to Sally, *No selfies, *No personalized requests. (Thinking “wow, just like the “soup nazi”). Me and my two travel buds were the ONLY ones in line! Fine. Got back to the hotel and had one of the travel buds add…. To Ayla and Charlotte, Reach For the Stars!…..I still have the book. Still pissed at Sally, R.I.P.
Wow, I met Neil Armstrong at the national air and space museum out at Dulles. He was SUPER nice! In fact I didn’t know who he was except a nice man that took my daughter on a tour. He was there for the shuttle and a NASA event, his last public appearance.
He overheard my stellar tour guide skills……daughter asks about rocket engines…..um gee I don’t know, but see that airstream trailer over there? They quarantined the astronauts in that in case of moon germs! He took pity on my daughter and explained the significance of all the rocket engines on display.
I thought he was a docent, he said he was a retired college professor among other things. He didn’t look like the Neil Armstrong I remember when he stepped on the moon surface. When he passed away they had a picture of him from his last appearance where he expressed disappointment with Obama’s decisions regarding the change in NASA’s mission. We talked about that while we were walking around too.
Anyway when I saw his picture from that day a light bulb went off. I grabbed my digital camera and yep, there was my daughter with Neil Armstrong…..getting a personal tour. Super nice man. He was so nice to my daughter, asked about stuff she was learning…..taught her stuff, suggested some books……Neil Armstrong, OMG! Fantastic memory even if we didn’t know who he was at the time.
So if Neil can be down to earth and humble, I don’t know what Miss Sally’s problem was.

Well, to be fair, it may have been the “handlers”, not Sally. When NASA would have the Apollo astronauts appear at the Visitors Center, they were the same way, very strict. However, since you were the ONLY ones in line, she could have talked to you.
I did many “meet and greet signings” with lots of shuttle astronauts. A few didn’t want to talk to anyone, but most were very friendly. In fact I had to be the bad guy to try and move people along when the lines were so big.
