The bloodletting begins.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe ‘Removed’ From The Bureau

Top FBI official Andrew McCabe has been “removed” from his post as deputy director, Fox News is told, leaving the bureau after months of conflict-of-interest complaints from Republicans including President Trump.

A source confirmed to Fox News that McCabe is taking “terminal leave” – effectively taking vacation until he reaches his planned retirement in a matter of weeks. As such, he will not be reporting to work at the FBI anymore.

Here is everything you need to know about Andy McCabe:

If Eric Holder is defending him then he must really be a piece of shit.

As someone pointed out in the last thread, FBI Director Wray went to view the Nunes Memo yesterday and today McCabe got shitcanned.

You should see the sturm und drang on my Facebook feed. All those people who survived the tax cut and the government shutdown, only to be KILLED! DEAD! by McCabe’s retirement. Sad!

Sometimes I regret being on FB ! But the TCH kids are too much fun. It’s good stuff as far as news goes. Sign up, don’t use your real name, (sadly, I use mine, for some reason I thought it would help find old friends, which unfortunately convinced me, why we haven’t been friends over 20- 50 some years). I think if I had to do over, I’d be Princess Consuela Banana Hammock (h/t Phoebe/Friends). You can be Leslie Winkle !

Yeah, we have fun, don’t we lol. I am still friends with a few libs, but I don’t bother them much, other than to read their agonies every time Trump wins. A lot of people I thought were friends have unfriendlied me. Oh well.
My family is there, and they are almost all Trump fans.

I use my real name on FB because a lot of my former students hunt me down, but I keep politics off my own feed. When someone starts clogging my feed with liberal garbage, I don’t unfriend them, but I do unfollow them. Then when I want to see what’s going on in their life, I can bop on over to their feed and say hello, which I often do if it’s someone I care about.

    • Lmao! This is my favorite comment on this blog in some time. Maybe ever. Succinct, compassionate, properly melodramatic, relatable, and tweetable (since they expanded the character allitment). I give it a 9.9 out of 8.

      • Jadzia says:

Go ahead and do it! I pretty much keep politics off my Twitter, since it’s connected to my Weinstein work. (Although my law-talking colleague doesn’t follow that rule, I think.)

I have a question that somebody on the hill should be asking Wray. Is McCabe on administrative leave or is he burning through his personal leave? You see when he retires his sick leave remaining in roughly 30 day increments will add to his time in service, which then ups his pension by a fraction of a percent. His annual leave or vacation time he will be paid in cash for whatever is left.

Quite often when there is a kerfuffle like this with a higher up or someone well liked, they put the person on administrative leave which costs them nothing……administrative leave is a freebie, free paid time off. The answer to what kind of leave he’s on will tell us a few things about Wray.

If McCabe actually broke the law, whether he’s on leave or not, he can still be fired. Should he be fired he loses his pension. He will have appeal rights, etc., but if he knowingly and blatantly broke the law there is just cause to fire him. Again, coming back to Wray, if the memo shows or produces solid evidence that McCabe knowingly broke the law……then Wray should have had the balls to fire him straight up. Letting McCabe go out on leave, no matter the type is the pussy way out and doesn’t bode well for Wray IMO.

BTW, my money says Wray went total pussy and gave Andy a month off free with administrative leave.

With McCabe out of the way, Rosenstein is presumably next. When he gets sacked, Trump will have Rachel Brand fire Mueller and the whole Russia investigation will be over, with Trump vindicated and his enemies losing their minds. This should be highly amusing!

I’m always astounded at how little it takes for them to commit crimes. It is always about a few bucks. Sure it is a wad of cash but chicken feed when compared to a ginormous legal fees and ugly prison terms. Same for Hillary, $149 million from Russia, !RUSSIA!, for our uranium. Obama it was a shitty ugly house then a pallet of cash skimmed for Iranian nukes. Pikers. Cheesy little punk ass thieves. It makes me think of “dragging a $1 through a trailer park” attributed to Carville when he was really talking about Dems only make it a $1000. Same difference.

He tried to stop it, all his amendments voted down. They also voted against releasing his memo now, said they may revisit that in a week or two. So, he can’t upstage this one with his hastily written memo. (Look for leaks. 😉)

I think the “mystery” of the memo is what is the memo a summary of. The general assumption is that it is based on FBI/DOJ documents released to the committee in early Jan. this year, documenting the FISA activity involving “spying” on the Trump campaign. The real bomb shell will be if the memo is based on Nunes’ review of WH documents in March 2017. These were likely Presidential Daily Briefings (Obama directly involved) detailing FISA and “spying” on Trump campaign.

Parody but true reflection of Andy’s Hubris……After being named acting director, after Comey was fired, he show up to work in his newly purchased Porsche GT3. The Porsche cost more than his pre-tax gov’t salary.

Nancy has become unglued frequently over the past year or so. Because I became me flustered more frequently than i have in the past, I have some compassion for her. More than that, however, I believe it’s way past time for her to step away from the mic and from government. She is looking less and less competent. She needs to take care of herself and leave the country to better stewards.

  37. Myiq2xu™ says:

I predict that Trump will release the memo on Thursday. He won’t release it before the SOTU or the day after, and he won’t wait for the weekend. If not Thursday, then next Tuesday.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe in the days leading up to his forced resignation Monday threatened to “torch” the FBI if he was expelled from his job without full retirement benefits, according to sources with direct knowledge of private conversations McCabe shared with agents.

“He was unglued,” one FBI source said.

“Someone should keep an eye on him.”
