Waiting On A Memo

It looks like the complete destruction of the Democrat Party won’t happened today. Maybe tomorrow. The media really doesn’t seem to care. Nancy Pelosi is begging Paul Ryan to use his power to stop Nunes from waging war on dedicated public servants who have never done anything wrong.

Even when she’s on the right moral side of a topic, she sounds disingenuous. I can’t stomach her even more now than when I had to see her a few times a week.

      Totally off Topic

The Museum of the Bible which opened recently right near the federal Triangle in D.C. is on my to do list for my next field trip to the Mall but I had not really heard much personal feedback other than people griping about those religious nuts.

However, A recently retired colleague of mine came in today for lunch. She has signed up to volunteer at the museum along with several fellow church members and has been doing her training and says it is an incredible experience . She and the others from her church and other present from other denominations agree that they have done an excellent job to make it about the Bible itself and its place in history of civilization and in literature and it well worth a visit if you are in town.

I’m a Christian, I do hot yoga (if you don’t end the class needing a defibrillator, you might as well stay home), and the only in-class worship I do is to pray that the teacher will end Triangle pose before I have heatstroke. There’s some mild woo about ‘setting an intention for your practice’ but I settle on ‘not having heatstroke’ and carry on.

It helps my back, joints, and anxiety, much like water aerobics.

    • John Denney says:

Pfft. He ignores Paul’s, “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

Yoga provides a good stretch and strengthens muscles. Similarly, tai chi is a gentle workout that loosens stiff joints, strengthens muscles, and improves balance.

While doing either, I like to quiet my mind and concentrate on what I hear, feel, and smell, simply being at peace and very aware of my surroundings – cricket chirps, the feel of a breath of breeze through the window, the scent of flowers it brings, simply enjoying God’s creation.

But this doofus suggests an elliptical machine instead of yoga, yet it’s a completely different workout!

I’ve appreciated yoga/stretching since I was a teen and saw an article about it blazoned on the cover of my sister’s teen girl magazine. I learned positions from the article and found they were wonderful to do before bed after a tough physical day, like wrestling practice in High School or shoveling dirt all day doing road construction. It relaxes the muscles, making sleep much more refreshing, and seems to reduce delayed onset muscle soreness.

BTW, one of my positions does indeed look like I’m bowing toward Mecca, stretching the lats, triceps, and lower back. So what? Big deal.

The DOJ IG investigation of FBI bias against Clinton, initiated by of all people Elijah Cummings and John Conyers, instead exposed McCabe’s one month delay in forwarding to congress information that the NY FBI found 100,000s of Clinton’s emails on Weiner’s laptop in early Sept. 2016. If reported promptly, Clinton would have had more time to spin this and lessen any potential negative impact on the Nov. 8 election.

“Democrats Cheered An Investigation Into Anti-Clinton Bias At The FBI. It Keeps Finding Pro-Clinton Bias Instead

Democrats were thrilled in January 2017 when Department of Justice Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz launched a probe into the DOJ and FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Two House Democrats, Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings and Michigan Rep. John Conyers, first requested an IG investigation into the FBI over alleged illegal leaks damaging to Clinton in an Oct. 4 2016 letter.

Horowitz, an Obama appointee, announced his investigation into the FBI and DOJ’s handling of the Clinton probe four months later in January. Cummings praised Horowitz’s decision at the time, saying the investigation was needed to stave off a “crisis of legitimacy” at the FBI.

Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff praised both the investigation in an appearance on MSNBC the same day as Horowitz’s announcement.

“I think this was very appropriate for the IG to initiate and I say hats off to my colleague Elijah Cummings for making the request for this investigation some months ago, it now has bipartisan support,” Schiff said.

“We had a very serious and I believe very consequential decision by the director of the FBI to speak publicly about an ongoing investigation and in violation of the department’s longstanding policy and do so right before the election, that ought to be the subject of a DOJ IG investigation, I think they’re the right party to do it, I have every confidence to believe they’ll do it objectively.”

Much to Schiff’s chagrin, the IG investigation has revealed instances of political bias at the FBI — in favor of Clinton.”

New York docked $14M for I Love NY highway signs

Cuomo’s administration spent $8.1 million installing the signage in recent years in spite of a 2013 FHWA order explicitly prohibiting it from experimenting with I Love NY signs.

I told the truth. Or should I say “Swannie” told the truth? Cuz Swannie got banned. Myiq2xu, Klown and Crawdad have all been banned too.

All I have to do is (or did I already do it?) create a new fake alias and then make a few innocuous comments agreeing with the groupthink so the Stasi will think I am one of them. Then slowly I begin to transform into another Truthtroll until I get banned.

        Swannie lasted almost 6 months.

don’t they think we will have elections in the future?
