    • elliesmom says:

When you live someplace where the roads are twisty and turn-y and go up and down hills, you develop a healthy respect for snow. You slow down, put the proper tires on your car, and give yourself plenty of room to stop. When you live where the roads are straight and flat and you can see for miles, you expect it’s going to take the people ahead of you as long to stop as it does you so you don’t alter your driving in the snow all that much. There are a lot of accidents in the snow where I live, but not many fatalities. It’s hard to kill yourself going 25 mph.

“Trump’s ‘marching orders’ to the Pentagon: Plan a grand military parade”

This is a great idea and best Mega-Squirrel yet!! I remember sitting on a curb on Penn. Ave.(?) in the early 50s watching military parades, blocks of marching troops, tanks, half-tracks, etc.

I see our visitor from last night is quite the chatty one over there.

I think everyone should interact with people they disagree with. Social media makes ideological cocooning too easy.

        • elliesmom says:

I agree, and while I’m not holding my breath, just maybe she’ll see her reception here was much nicer than we receive at the lefty sites we used hang around. Given that I’ve moved out of state in the meantime, I could probably “sneak” back in most of those blogs, but I can’t handle the crazies as well as I used to, and I know I’d be kicked out again very quickly. It’s just not worth the effort of setting up a new identity. Let them have their crazy echo chambers.

      • Anthony says:

Did she call them racists like she did here? try to manipulate and purposely misinterpret responses to cry “Victim!” like she did here? I’m all about keeping an open mind to other points of view but I have to draw the line at disingenuous trolls.

All you folks down there in Florida, better watch out for George.

A great white shark named George has been spotted lingering off the Florida coast near the Everglades and Gulf of Mexico.

Good for Slovakia. I find it strange that only a few countries are even making an effort to protect themselves from the Muslim invasion. Other countries seem to be putting out welcome mats.

Does Europe really want the Muslims to take over the continent? They won’t stop there. How is this all going to end?

I wonder what will be on the menu?
Hope there’s some bacon involved 😋

    • DeniseVB says:

Sarah read it from the podium, any reporters write it down? LOL, so sweet. Didn’t MichelleO have a cooking contest for kids and invite the “winners” to the WH for a “State Dinner”. When the grandgirls were living in the DC area, I thought I’d want them to enter for fun. Then I looked at the entry application, it required way too much information *required* like phone number and your parents’ names and home address and where they worked. Nope, looked more like a donor caller list harvest, the winners where probably matched up to their DNC donation history. I’m a skeptic like that. I wonder if Melania is continuing that tradition?

“Page wrote to Strzok on Sept. 2, 2016 about prepping Comey because “potus wants to know everything we’re doing.” Senate investigators told Fox News this text raises questions about Obama’s personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation.”

    • helenk3 says:

they work for an agency that can find out what color nail polish you use on your toe nails. Accessing E-mails is an everyday thing for the FBI and they put this kind of information in them. How dumb is that?

    that chain of custody thingy

    • Lulu says:

FBI then gussies it up and presents it as spectacular sleuth work by a genius Brit intelligence officer (ret) and absolute truth.

If some version of this type of fraud was done on Wall St (with fake financial data, etc on a bank and brokerage house) or really anywhere in anything but DC, people would be looking at a decade in jail, enormous fines, and stripped of their ill-gotten gains. With Obama-ites it is just another day at work. And no wonder the FBI/DOJ didn’t have the time nor inclination for terrorism eradication. All of this for King Bronco and Empress Hill. Dumb stooges.

      • lateblum says:

This morning on FBN, Judge Napolitano said that there is an agreement among 5 distinct nations (US, Gt Britain, New Zealand, Australia and one more that I don’t recall) to NOT recruit from one another’s intelligence agencies. He said that the FBI recruited Steele from MI6 or 5 (I don’t recall) and broke that international agreement,
Laws, we don’t need no stinkin’ laws. Not if we’re the FBI or Obama.

Trump Starts Year Two In a Far Better Position Than Democrats Imagined

Donald Trump’s critics never imagined that more than a year into his presidency, his approval rating would be rising and just under 50%, the economy would be cranking up to a 4% growth rate, North Korea would have quieted down temporarily, U.S. oil production would be rising sharply and imports steadily declining, ISIS dispersed, over $6 trillion added to Dow-Jones Industrial stock values (despite Monday’s slide), and the Clintons as well as Mr. Trump’s official investigators facing far more serious legal questions than he is.

    • taw46 says:

“The truth is, our progressive educators don’t like people knowing a wealth of knowledge. It’s not fair; it’s not what socialists call “democratic.” So this new approach is a good way to keep everybody ignorant and separate. Nobody will have any way to judge anybody else’s knowledge because everybody will know different things.”

      • lateblum says:

“In other words, students decide what they should know and how they will prove that they know it. How convenient for the students.”

That’s probably because history begins with “Me” and “My birth”. So how could anyone know – or want to know – the same things?
Honestly, I am simply OVER their thinking. They are lazy and ignorant and determined to keep everyone stupid.

    • John Denney says:

There is some basis in fact. When I was in High School, there were different tracks a student could take – college prep, manual arts (shop), vocational agriculture, and general ed.

Every child is unique, and should be developed to his full potential.

But most importantly, kids should be instilled with love and appreciation for others. I had the most wonderful time in a Paris restaurant that had emblazoned on a wall, “Love All, Serve All” .

So this doesn’t matter? Lifted from NY Sun.
I just don’t know anymore wtf people are thinking.
Or maybe that’s just it, their not thinking.

‘ve been hearing this quote on news radio this morning (that’s CBS) and also the same report questions obama’s and the WH’s involvement in the email scandal/coverup. I am surprised to hear it on CBS.

Today’s dems in congress make me think of the old style MAFIA no-show jobs. They would have companies put certain people on the payroll and they did not show up or do any work. Seems like today’s dems to me. Collect a paycheck and sit back and do nothing

    • DeniseVB says:

Like Unions too. Unless there’s good reason, I’m not happy about paying them to #Resist, even the Dem reps have constituents that are Republicans, so aren’t they a bit concerned about the folks in their home districts ?

    • Cisco says:

Like Marlon Brandos show up but don’t work job in On the Waterfront.
Sopranos did a episode on this.
Show up and don’t work and don’t show up but everybody still gets paid.
      That would be Congress today.

Isn’t that just like Streets and Sanitation in Chicago?

        • Cisco says:

Hee-hee-hee🤑 Just one of the Streets and San’s scandals.
They would punch in at the “yard”,then go to other full time jobs.
Got caught because of two different time cards.
Never bothered to use caution, open and notorious.

It’s a snowy day again. This time we’re on the snow/rain line so we’ll get snow this morning, rain this afternoon, and freezing rain when the sun goes down. Not a day to go anywhere. I’ve walked Ellie and put a pot of Pennsylvania Dutch Pot Pie on to cook. It’s not a “pie” in the traditional sense. It’s more like a stew with big squares of noodles floating in it. Sometimes I make chicken, but today it’s beef. It’s supposed to be for dinner, but it’s smelling more like lunch. 😉

  28. Dora says:

    Yes they are! 🙂

  29. DandyTIger says:

Did a fun experiment with FB. I know someone who posed that Obama was Hitler. The post got deleted by FB. Saw someone call Trump Hitler, so reported it. Funnily they came back and said calling Trump Hitler doesn’t violate their standards. I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.
