Soros Would Be Proud: Liberals Bully Bridal Shop Right Out Of Business

While liberals cheer Dick’s Sporting Goods for denying service to law abiding citizens looking to purchase a gun, they simultaneously continue to bully other businesses who choose to stick to their principles. It’s hypocrisy on steroids.

    • DeniseVB says:

Sounds like the shop was “targeted” ? What bullies, find another shop! The wedding industry is booming with same-sex weddings (and soon, booming for divorce lawyers!). We all know the best wedding planners are flamboyant gays with impeccable taste, I would seek a shop with that connection even for a straight wedding. 🙂

ACLU Sues Kansas for Blocking Noncitizen Voters

A Kansas law that requires voters to prove their citizenship is on trial in federal court this week.

From 2013 to 2016, more than 35,000 registrants were blocked from the voting rolls by the state’s documentary proof-of-citizenship law.

    • Somebody says:

If the courts rule against this law then our nation is truly lost. WTF is the deal with the ACLU? Did they forget the American part of their name? On the bright side if the courts rule against this then Mueller should pack his shit, because foreign influence won’t matter according to the courts.

This was an interesting read. It got me thinking about my new home. In a lot of states the big cities hold sway in statewide elections. In RI, that’s just one city. On a state map, RI looks very blue. But where I live most of the folks are Republicans. They also have a lot of guns. There are only a few highways my neighbors would have to secure to shut Providence off from the world. The “Providence” airport is closer to me than to the city. Most of the privately held firearms in the city are in the hands of criminals. Most of the policeman live outside the city. A few of them are my neighbors. At the ballot box, the Democrats own RI, but in a civil war this state goes red in a few days.

I watched the Doris Day-Rock Hudson “Lover Come Back” last night and put another movie on my list “Could Not Be Made Today”. The scene with the girls dancing to “Dixie” in confederate hats and flag bras. Shocking, I know, but not for 1961 😀

Netflix stocks soaring over plans for Obama series ? I wonder why Oprah (OWN) or the BET channel didn’t jump on this goldmine first?

    • DandyTIger says:

Ha, projections that it will be a wild success. Not so sure about the end results. Then again, obviously Obama won’t actually have anything personally to do with it. That would require some work. He’ll treat it like celebrities do when “creating” perfume. Looking like Netflix is turning into a liberal only network.

Not going to read the article, but will comment anyhow.
Not a financial wizard though it seems to me rather silly for stocks to soar over talks of a producer association. Doubt it will attract any new subscribers will likely cause quite a few to drop. Netflix has signed exclusive deals with shondra Rhimes and Ryan Murphy. All of the associations together might give a significant bump. More convinced than ever that its party of some rewards scheme for puppets. Al Gore sold “them” his soul. hillary? george clooney made something absurd like a billion dollars off his tequila brand. The guys non ensemble movies have never been blockbusters. Yet his worth is yuuuge. He’s a visible leftist. They create the star who promotes the message and they are rewarded. Mt. Laurel commented on oprah’s phenomenal rise. She is a multi-billionaire from a talk show. Going to shop for a spring tin foil hat today. The fbi pressured moby to attack Trump. Babbling but even Parkland seems staged. Blah, blah , blah.

I’m trying to think of any former Presidents who waged gazillion dollar private deals (other than books) in their “retirement” ? I believe the whole Presidential retirement package (Obama is like our most expensive welfare case ever), was created when Harry Truman was literally broke when he left office, so some nice people thought we should take care of him in his old age. I don’t think we’ve actually had POOR Presidents since, or a scam artist like Obama.

Special Greg has an “income” from the state/feds, my reward for not dumping him on the “system” I suppose. Howsomever, should he get a job, every cent of that would be deducted from his SSI. We have to file a report every year.

Totally support a safety net that is used as intended. Legal citizens who are working low wage jobs I see no reason not to provide nutrition assistance and health care for kids. Relatives who work providing home health care instead of hospice doesn’t bother me. Somebody needs to be there and most cannot afford to not work. I am not anti-liberal. I think the safety net should be reserved for American citizens. Pup has to have CHIP. She cannot be added to anyone else’s insurance. Whatever payments are made go through her parents and the state. I wouldcadd her to mine, but its not legal.

Nice interview with Jimmy Carter. He and Rosalynn have been married 71 years.

    • DeniseVB says:

I’m halfway through Rosalynn’s memoir (First Lady from Plains), they are good people with a lovely backstory. I only started it a year ago, but the nice thing about having stacks of non-fiction books, you can stop and start anytime 🙂

      • Mt.Laurel says:

I am part way through Nancy’s, Rosyn’s and Laura’s. Ebooks also help you pick up here and there between meetings/on the metro and non-fiction does work better for stops and starts.

I was surprised the Carters did not attend Billy Grahams service because I recall Graham was a favorite of Roslyn’s and figured perhaps Jimmy was not feeling well enough. May not agree with his views and actions on many fronts but Roslyn’s Southern manners always shine through especially for milestone events. Then I read somewhere about her illness and surgery and that Jimmy was quite shaken and would not leave her to attend on his own.

I have a friend who is taking her children to the march against guns. It dawned on me that she knows her “proggie” parenting style has created kids that she cannot control. Violent outbursts. Loads of psychotropics (no actual counseling). Excuses and justifications. Perhaps there is fear that her own spawn have the potential. I get it. I am afraid of everything with the brat. Difference is I see her as my responsibility. Don’t think the world needs to shape itself to fit my choices. She wants carve outs for her kids. I asked when have you ever made them commit to anything. See something through. Zip. They join things have a bad day and quit. Pup wanted the clarinet. Hated it. She finished the term and switched to sax, but she had to complete. Seems so basic. Her children dictate to her. Affluent educated. What happens when the outside world won’t accommodate a screaming fit? They also mock religion. It’s for simple folk. Fine. What are you teaching them to respect. Progressivism is hate filled. Judgemental. It’s like they rely on external world for self definition. Everything and everyone is to blame. I find it very sad.
