    Grassroots? Yeah right.

    • Constance says:

These are Democrat creation events. Meet and greets. Be part of the “in crowd” Republicans need to do this to attract young people. I don’t know what the Republican issues are but that is how you relate to young people and create new Republicans.

      • DeniseVB says:

Back in ’09 the Tea Party was pretty hot and very cool. Obama’s IRS shut them down with petty audits and personal questions. Despite they always paid their rally fees and OWS didn’t have too.

  2. DeniseVB says:

    Derp.

    • Anthony says:

      Isn’t she precious! 🤤😱😨💣🔪🔪🔪⚡🎯🤺✂🗡⛏🔨💉☠☠☠💀

      • DeniseVB says:

Yes she is. Hollyweirds always align with the Pop Political Sugar of the Day. 😀

      • Mt.Laurel says:

Is she transitioning because that looks an awful lot like the man spreading the progs hate so much.

      • Venus E. Lee says:

        Hey doll
Saw you fretting im the other thread over omnibus bill.
I wasn’t sure about it myself but feel better about it now that I see it’s the usual #NeverTrump doomsayers who have been leading the way cranking up the hysteria about how bad it is for him & how he’s DOOMED.
I still don’t like it but am resolved:
I’m on the Trump Train for good, even on those days the ride is making me a little sick. 🙂

        • Anthony says:

Thanks, Miss Lee lol. I’m over it now, but it took a while. I’m cynically giving benefit of doubt, but I’ve got that raised eyebrow thing going on now. Also, the shoe drama didn’t help…

OT – how’d you like the Versace finale?

          • Venus E. Lee says:

Finale was too sad. I resent trying to be made sorry for Cunanan.
I was glad to see Judith Light back to put that Emmy in the bag.

          • Venus E. Lee says:

oh PS: I didn’t like how they punked out & pretended that Versace & Cunanan weren’t involved in SF — I’ve heard plenty of gossip that they were. And if I’ve heard it, Ryan Murphy’s heard it. I guess they’re trying to get back on Donatella’s god side (read she’s livid they did the show in the first place).

          • Anthony says:

I share your resentment of having a big enough heart to feel sympathy for Cunanan. He did have a horrible early life, but many have had worse and didn’t go on a killing spree.

I don’t know Versace and Cunanan were involved but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a one night stand in SF. Versace was a brilliant designer but socially awkward and not exactly easy on the eyes. He was difficult at photo shoots, bumbling and blowing his gasket, and a lot of people didn’t like working on set with him (including my bf at the time). Enter Donatella, the ‘dragon whisperer’). She smoothed things over when he ruffled feathers, and I think he realized that without her, he could easily be shunned. He did defer to her, and I believe he was aware of his his lack of social grace but was incapable of keeping himself centered enough to get through a shoot or an interview without her intervention.

His bf Antonio, who WAS very handsome and quite engaging, acted as somewhat of a pimp. I know two people (that I actually believe) who turned him down because he was a bit of an asshole when he hit on them. One of them even told him “I don’t care WHO you are. Your attitude sucks. Fuck off, troll!” I was there for that one lol.

Antonio was charming and handsome, and had no trouble rustling up a pretty boy or two to bring home for a 3way that often ended up with V storming out of the room because he wasn’t sufficiently bowed and scraped to. I do think A was in love with him, and have heard that Donatella treated him so badly because she allegedly blamed him for the murder. That would make sense if Cunanan was one of the little fluffs that A snared to bring home for the evening.

          • Venus E. Lee says:

Yep I think Andrew was one of those 1 night stands & was pissed that Versace didn’t sufficiently recognize his ‘specialness.’
I’ve also heard how badly Donatella treated Antonio — she fought him on the living arrangements & the amount of $ Versace left him in the will. He ended up taking no ‘use of the House of his choice’ for life and about 1/3 Of the $. To me that supports my belief that Antonio knew who Andrew was & exactly what involvement Versace had with him.
I have to say overall the acting was excellent. Darren Criss & Judith Light were stand outs but everyone really did a great job.. I was also impressed with the production quality. It was all just devastatingly tragic.

    • DandyTIger says:

“apart”? Kind of the opposite of “a part”. 🙂

  3. DeniseVB says:

I don’t align with Republicans, but I’ll vote in Nov.

    • votermom says:

      vote against incumbent in primary
      vote against Dem in general

      • DeniseVB says:

That worked for Dave Brat, the Eric Cantor Primary Slayer. Just so surprised that didn’t wake up the Virginia Republicans. But no, let’s not support the new HOT guy for Senate (Nick Freitas) and support the guy who’s turn it is, Corey Stewart ( a 3-time loser for Gov?). This is why I don’t do local politics anymore 😦

    • Mt.Laurel says:

The never T crowd were already going to sit on their hands in November or vote third party or dem. This is just their latest justification for the never ending pity party that really wants the dems in control so they can go back to crying wolf and comparing their . . . Man parts.

Free ice cream, why does that make me think of perverts? Hey kid, come over here…..want some ice cream? I’m your ice cream man, stop me when I’m passing by……all my flavors are guaranteed to satisfy.

  7. Somebody says:

Why am I such a bitch? I don’t mean to be, but sometimes stuff just rolls off my tongue before I can stop it.

Hubby tried to be nice and cook dinner….OMG. When the steak is so tough the dog chokes on the piece you slipped her under the table there is no hope. He forgot to season the sides, inedible it was.

Daughter choked hers down, ever the suck up that one, LOL…..she’s hoping for a 🚗, not going to insult daddy dearest.

When the dog chokes hubby got ticked and asked me if I was slipping my food under the table to the dogs. I reply, yes I am this shit is inedible, it’s so bad the fucking dog is choking……ooops too late at that point, I had shot off my mouth. Poor hubby looked so dejected. I’m probably going to starve he’s not going to buy my sudden need to go to the ” store”😋

    • Somebody says:

Shit, told ya. I said I needed to run to the store for ciggies, hubby volunteers to go for me 🙄

    • DeniseVB says:

I’ve banned my husband from cooking steaks on the grill for life. He absolutely ruined two NY strips (I think $32, but that’s not the worst part), that I carefully marinated in a yummy herb, lemon juice and olive oil mixture. Told him no longer than 4-6 minutes on each side, he thought that meant the “cremation” setting on the gas grill. He basically made a pair of shoes. I can’t begin to describe that crime scene. Sometimes I wonder if the feminazis are right 😛

  8. DeniseVB says:

Hmmmm? The March for Our Lives twitter has over 200k followers in less than a month. Oh look, ACLU’s helping too !

  9. elliesmom says:

I think the survivors of any kind of horrific situation, a school shooting, a massive earthquake, cancer, etc., have an important message to share. Their stories of survival and loss are part of the tapestry that makes the rest of us want to find solution, a cure, or at least how to mitigate. But when a breast cancer survivor takes the podium to share what going through the process of having breast cancer feels like, we don’t expect nor would we give a whole lot of credence to her proposed cure for cancer. The problem with the little Hogglet march is we’re supposed to believe the kids are the best source for a solution to the problem of school shootings. That’s beyond ludicrous.

    • DeniseVB says:

Those who placed those kids’ shoes on the Capitol lawn probably haven’t visited the Holocaust Museum and their pile of shoes.

      • Cisco says:

I’ve been to Yad Vashem .
The displays of luggage, clothing and shoes of the victims was heart wrenching.
But the room dedicated to the children was…well I cried like a baby.
I tried to hide it but my friend and guide said it was ok, no one looked down on those that were overcome by emotion.
The kids shoes represent those killed by violent criminals.
The shoes at Yad Vashem represent children killed only because they were Jews.

During the campaign, I was hooked when Trump said he was going to find the General Pattons to run the military. I always visualize George C. Scott when I hear Patton’s name 🙂

  13. Mt.Laurel says:

Well wait for the next round of fireworks. Evidently PT had gone with limiting transgender in the military. There were no details in the blip but I am guessing it is tied to the directive Mattis put in place about people needing to pull their weight and not getting out of deployment because of never ending health excuses unless they are related to such justifiable reasons as injuries incurred while serving and pregnancy.

  19. DeniseVB says:

Do they know Planned Parenthood is one of the contributors to the march?

    • elliesmom says:

Of course, they do. Adherence to their core beliefs is fluid. Look at CC’s history with same-sex couples and adoption policy. I’m not against same-sex couples adopting kids, but CC was until they were faced with loss of state and federal funding. First they changed the rules so only married couples could adopt through them. Then same-sex couples were allowed to legally marry. If they really stood by their principles, they would have removed themselves from the adoption business, but they didn’t. They agreed to place children with same sex couples for “the greater good”. I’m sure since the march isn’t about abortion, CC will find a way to convince themselves none of the people who march with them is getting any funding from PP, and that will make it OK.

      • DeniseVB says:

It’s funny that people are thinking this is an organic, grassroots “march”, when it’s heavily subsidized and organized by far left groups. Like the Women’s March, it will turn into an anti-Trump sh*t show. The NRA knows their foes and called them out on it, then Politfact told them their pants were on fire. What these “kids” don’t know, without the 2A, there would be no 1A. The Parkland tragedy was the result of a troubled kid falling through the incompetence of a school and law enforcement system. To see the Catholic Church linked to this event makes me wonder if Catholic Charities is somehow another lefty group disguised as “caring”.

        • elliesmom says:

It’s been 56 years since I was kicked out of Sunday School so I try to refrain from commenting on anything related to organized religion. But there’s a great deal of fuss made over “the religious right” that disguises how left most churches lean when it comes to “caring”, especially when there’s government funding involved. Like the money churches get to help “settle” immigrants. They have a real stake in the government’s immigration policy. More immigrants equals more money for them. I’m not sure what interest Catholic Charities has in banning guns, but if someone takes the time to scratch at it, there’s probably a financial benefit.

          • mothy2017 says:

It idn’t just immigrants. Here almost all non emergency psychiatric care is provided by Catholic orgs, and Salvation Army. That’s big money. Not sure who runs the meth clinics.
