Every weekday morning I go check on Mom. Every weekday morning she watches The View.

If this keeps up I may have to put her in a home.

About Myiq2xu - BA, JD, FJB

I was born and raised in a different country - America. I don't know what this place is.

    You’re a good son, myiq. ❤

I should know that guy at the top of the post, Natalie Wood's killer was the first thing that came to mind. 😉

Maybe your Mom’s hearing is going and that is how she can tolerate the shrill-ones?

  3. DeniseVB says:

LOL, Tom Arnold is trying to be relevant again, as if, he was ever. To think, Milo was banned from twitter for giving a bad movie review because one of the stars screeched racism! Misogyny! Oy.

Homeschooling is definitely the way to go.

Notice the assumption of couples. Why are they so bigoted towards more than two person arrangements. 🙂

    • lateblum says:

This Jessica Valenti person and the teachers in her daughter’s school need to brush up on their understanding of Jean Piaget’s teachings of cognitive development of children. i wonder just what they are thinking. I can figure out what they are NOT thinking.

Why are there blue and green pieces of paper? Is the blue supposed to signify the “normal” genders?
I’m feeling a trigger coming on.

    • threewickets says:

Is Valenti’s daughter learning all about its 58 gender options?

I’m glad there are only 2 more episodes of NCIS left. Then I can turn off CBS completely. This is gonna make it so much easier to drop cable entirely and switch over to ROKU or HULU. All I watch these days is Roseanne and NCIS anyway. I’m pretty sure I can pull up Roseanne on ROKU. Well I hope I can.

I made the mistake of looking at Tariq Nasheed’s twitter feed. There is some vile hatred there.

    • lateblum says:

This morning I heard a report that the shooter is delusional and often paranoid. The report didn’t go into detail about his delusions or if they didn’t know. But I hope that his father – who gave him back the weapons which had been confiscated by the DC cops will also be held responsible for what this “man” did at Waffle House. I also wonder if that same parent also gave his son permission to stop his meds. (Of course, I’m assuming he was on meds for his delusional disorder.)

      • taw46 says:

There are lots of reports in the news. At the Waffle House, he wore only a green jacket, which he shed when he left. He at one time thought Taylor Swift was stalking him. He thought 30-40 people were recording his phone. These are just a few that have been reported (police reports). Why did his father return the 4 guns to him, after assuring LE he would not?

        • lateblum says:

Thanks for elaborating on the delusional material. On M,W,F I have the little girls and do not listen to the news until they are safely transported to their respective schools. By the time I get through transporting them and running myriad errands I turn on the classical music station where the news is briefly reported on the hour. There are some mornings I hear about 5 minutes of news and other mornings I hear way more. Today was a 5 minute news day for me.
His father was in breach of his agreement with the DC LE. I really wonder what other promises he broke r/t his son. He should be arrested, too. (This is my emotional thinking at work here.)

          • taw46 says:

I rarely watch news on tv, lol. I read online. And I sometimes spend way too much time doing that, but I don’t have little girls to look after! If what is reported about the guns is true, then I also think the father should face charges.

I like them. They really seem to trying to bring class and respect back to the royal family.

    • DeniseVB says:

What? I used my #3 to STAY IN the hospital for another 3 days, sleep, sleep, sleep and don’t wake me for the overnight feedings. It was like a mini-vacay. No Royal nannies, handmaidens and housekeepers waiting for me. We were in the middle of building a house in ’80, so day 4, I was on site 😉

      • Somebody says:

I planned to do that with #3. I also planned to lounge about and not lift a finger for weeks. Why not, FEMLA meant DH could be home, plus my older 2 were teens. No FEMLA when older 2 were born, FAA was still recovering from strike so no leave for any reason. Hubby worked 60 hours a week.

As luck would have it, they threw me and the baby out at 8:15 that evening. Told me to go home, pack and evacuate for hurricane Floyd. We had just moved in a few weeks before and there was a 30 day period before our insurance kicked in. So I was up all night packing valuables and irreplaceable items, then set out on a 14 and a half hour drive 🙄.

I went 42 hours without sleep, during which I gave birth, packed up half my house, as well as my pets and drove from JAX to Mobile, AL in bumper to bumper traffic. No rest for me, if only I’d grabbed a tree, squatted and given birth I could have had the full pioneer experience 😉

        • taw46 says:

somebody, you are so funny. You should write a book about your experiences.

        • Somebody says:

BTW it was somehow fitting we had to evacuate for Irma for DD’s 18th BD. Thank GAWD, I hadn’t just given birth again! Although we did have 2 brand new puppies 😛

        • lateblum says:

          OMG! Somebody. How hard!
I did what Denise did. I used #3 baby to stay in hospital an extra day so I didn’t have to drive hours to the annual family Labor Day picnic. Yup. I came home around noon on Labor Day and avoided the whole family (with 44 grandchildren and scores of. Aunties, uncles, cousins, in-laws, etc) reunion. My kids were upset with me, but I knew they’d get over it. And they did.

        • DeniseVB says:

You are my hero. I had #3 at 34, dh was still active duty so I worked the “private” sector to have my first baby in a First Class private hospital. The boys were born on a sh*thole base in Calilfornia.

I was 37 when my youngest was born. Perhaps in my past life I was Conestoga driver…….hope my last name wasn’t Donner 😮

Side note, had to fight with my phone it kept changing Donner to Dinner 😂😂😂 Best autocorrect ever, LMAO!

Gays can be as bigoted as straights when it comes to “people not like me”. In fact from what I’ve seen in the past couple decades living in NYC’s West Village and San Francisco, I’d say more bigoted on average. Certainly the LGBT political activists and their “allies”.

Senior House Dem. leadership member: ‘All of us have to go’ if Republicans win midterm elections

A leading congressional Democrat has called for the resignation of his party’s leadership if Democrats do not manage to take back House seats in this year’s midterm elections.

“If we’re still in the minority, all of us have got to go,” said Rep. James Clyburn (D- S.C.) in an interview with Politico.

Lamb other than Greek style holds no culinary fascination for me.

I generally don’t like lamb – it can have a weird taste in my upper palate that makes me want to gag.

        • Somebody says:

VM you just haven’t had it cooked properly. My MIL used to make lamb like that 🤢. I didn’t eat it or cook it for years, until my daughter talked me into going to a Greek restaurant when I was visiting her at grad school. I then set out to learn how to cook it myself.

“I think the closure has everything to do with this establishment being racist,” said Berkeley resident Lynn Nice.

That label was put on the café three years ago after Bay Area native and comedian W. Kamau Bell said his wife Melissa Bell, a white woman, was sitting outside the Café when an employee, thinking he was harassing her, told him to move along.

“I wanted to run away. I was actually strangely embarrassed, as if I had done something wrong,” Bell wrote about the experience in a blog post on Jan. 28, 2015, two days after the incident occured on his birthday.

Obama jets off to legitimize South Africa’s Zimbabwifying regime

South Africa is busy Zimbabwifying itself, ready to expropriate white-owned farms without compensation. At this point, it should be a pariah state. But in goes President Obama, likely to egg them on.

The gushy New York Times piece about it pretty well calls Obama’s planned trip to play community organizer abroad in South Africa a wonderful thing.
