If you have to spray for bugs, peppermint oil is great! I don’t have wasps around my house anymore, because I use about an ounce of peppermint oil, in about a quart of water, in a spray bottle, and spray away! Works on lots of other bugs too.

I see a mosquito infestation in near future after our recent flood, they are nasty critters!

DHS boss threatens ‘caravan’ border-crossers with prosecution, detention, deportation

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on Monday warned the “caravan” of Central American migrants arriving at the southern U.S. border that they could face prosecution, detention and deportation, as President Trump called on the agency to block the group.

Governor Cuomo introduces legislation to ban single-use plastic bags in New York

    • DeniseVB says:

Plastic bags have more than one use. I use them for small waste basket liners and when I had dogs, picking up poop. This is going to piss off every deli, take out and restaurant leftovers bag customer. Not to mention the zillion food trucks, street vendors and touristy shops. Aren’t there more important problems in NY?

    • mothy2017 says:

I think that’ll suck in the city. Will hurt bodegas and restaurants. Easy to keep cloth bags in car, but if you are running around NYC and stop for staples after work it’ll severely limit what you buy.

      • DeniseVB says:

Cloth bags should be washed after every use, not real convenient for the majority of residents w/o laundry facilities in their apt or building.

    • lateblum says:

That ban has been in place for several years, here. However, they make exceptions for small businesses i.e. convenience stores, small restaurants and takeout food places. The larger stores such as Target, Walmart, Krogers, etc either have to charge customers per single use plastic bags or change over to heavier plastic bags that can be used many times over. We all hated it in the beginning, but have adapted to that change. People can always grab a couple of those thin plastic bags from home and stuff them into a pocket or purse just in case they need them later. I used to save those skinny bags from the newspapers and give about 100 of them at a time, to my sis as a “gift” because she needed them for when she walked her doggies.
There are way fewer bags hanging from trees and flying around the neighborhoods clogging the storm drains since the ordinance went into effect.
BTW: The charge for the heavier plastic bags is around 7cents.

I woke up too early because I thought I heard KTE’s alarm clock ring.
She’s in college so I knew that was impossible, but it felt so real I went into her room.

My international travels include Tijuana and Montreal, not including Caribbean cruise ports which were basically NYC with palm trees 😉 I admire people who travel, just never had the bug. I live through my worldly friends and enjoy those experiences with them without the flying, hotels and language barriers 😀

    • 49erDweet says:

Methinks the “rude gestures, etc.,” had little to do with the charge and sentence but more to do with motivating the cops to nail the idiot. The gestures only indicated a determined intent to break that law.

    • elliesmom says:

My understanding from my friends living in the UK is he’s going to jail for installing the jamming device in his car. The rude gestures at the traffic cameras only brought attention to him. However, given how much they take as the gospel truth things the US media writes about Trump, I am having fun playing like I believe the guy is having his free speech taken away, and it’s not safe for Americans to travel to the UK because we could end up in prison like happens in North Korea. 😉

  21. votermom says:

Did you see where Macron laid his hand on Trump’s arm when he mentioned the French cop? He seemed moved.

    • Cisco says:

      Very touching.
President Trump acknowledging the heroic sacrifice made by that Officer.
Meanwhile the rest of the world doesn’t say shit.

I’m gonna say something nice: Brigitte sure brought her “A” game, fashion-wise, to America. She looks great!

    • DeniseVB says:

Both ladies were just stunning. I wonder if they coordinated their outfits ?

    • Mt.Laurel says:

She really looked nice. That style and skirt length compliment her figure so much better that the super short teen looks she seemed to like. She also looked more comfortable than in many situations so I think Melania deserves kudos as she appears to have lovely manners and is able to put people at ease.

  23. DeniseVB says:

Sharing this tweet because of the graphic. Also, I don’t think Mitt can win without Trump’s base 😉

    • Cisco says:

I’m part of the Trump base and I wouldn’t vote for Romney to be a garbage collector.

I can’t imagine ^this^ revelation surprises anyone who has ever followed the history of BHO. He is not a person of integrity. He never was. And HRC is known to be a liar since her stint on the Watergate Committee.

  28. DeniseVB says:

Daily Mail photos on preparing for the State Dinner, including many of the Hall of Cherry Blossoms. Can you count how many times they said Melania’s using the Clinton china? It is beautiful, thank goodness they made HRC give it back 😛

Man! Throw in some collard’s and that would truly be a meal fit for a King.😋

I would get confused with all those glasses on the table. Silverware, no problem…..it’s always the glasses and cups that get me.

      • Cisco says:

I was thinking the same thing.
Silverware never a problem, but the glasses.
One for water, one for different wines and of course a champagne flute.

      • John Denney says:

Just wait until something is poured into it, then it’s fair game, I think.

Though you may want to wait before downing the champagne, in case there’s a toast.

Just in case my bud’s here missed this.
    A Presidential smackdown!
