The Election That Will Not Die

It just keeps giving and giving and giving.

Hillary Clinton unleashed foul-mouthed tirade in Trump debate prep session

Hillary Clinton unleashed a “fuck-laced fusillade” on aides in a 2016 debate prep session, according to a new book about the presidential campaign by New York Times journalist Amy Chozick.

The candidate was squirming with frustration over lingering concerns about her “authenticity” and racked with loathing for Donald Trump she was determined not to vent in public.

“Aides understood that in order to keep it all together onstage, Hillary sometimes needed to unleash on them in private,” Chozick writes in Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns and One Intact Glass Ceiling. “‘You want authentic, here it is!’ she’d yelled in one prep session, followed by a fuck-laced fusillade about what a ‘disgusting’ human being Trump was and how he didn’t deserve to even be in the arena.”

But wait! There’s more!

Victor Davis Hanson:

Revolution and Worse to Come

On the domestic and foreign fronts, the Trump administration has prompted economic growth and restored U.S. deterrence. Polls show increased consumer confidence, and in some, Trump himself has gained ground. Yet good news is bad news to the Resistance and its strange continued efforts to stop an elected president in a way it failed to do in the 2016 election.

Indeed, the aim of the so-called Resistance to Donald J. Trump is ending Trump’s presidency by any means necessary before the 2020 election. Or, barring that, it seeks to so delegitimize him that he becomes presidentially impotent. It has been only 16 months since Trump took office and, in the spirit of revolutionary fervor, almost everything has been tried to derail him. Now we are entering uncharted territory — at a time when otherwise the country is improving and the legal exposure of Trump’s opponents increases daily.

First came the failed lawsuits after the election alleging voting-machine tampering. Then there was the doomed celebrity effort to convince some state electors not to follow their constitutional duty and to deny Trump the presidency — a gambit that, had it worked, would have wrecked the Constitution. Then came the pathetic congressional boycott of the inauguration and the shrill nationwide protests against the president.

Anti- and Never-Trump op-ed writers have long ago run out of superlatives. Trump is the worst, most, biggest — fill in the blank — in the history of the presidency, in the history of the world, worse even than Mao, Mussolini, Stalin, or Hitler.

Next was the sad effort to introduce articles of impeachment. After that came weird attempts to cite Trump for violations of the emoluments clause of the Constitution. That puerile con was followed by plans to declare him deranged and mentally unfit so that he could be removed under the 25th Amendment. From time to time, Obama holdovers in the DOJ, National Security Council, and FBI sought to leak information, or they refused to carry out presidential orders.

As the Resistance goes from one ploy to the next, it ignores its string of failed prior efforts, forgetting everything and learning nothing. State nullification is no longer neo-Confederate but an any-means-necessary progressive tool. Suing the government weekly is proof of revolutionary fides, not a waste of California’s taxpayer dollars.

Insidiously and incrementally, we are in the process of normalizing violence against the elected president of the United States. If all this fails to delegitimize Trump, fails to destroy his health, or fails to lead to a 2018 midterm Democratic sweep and subsequent impeachment, expect even greater threats of violence. The Resistance and rabid anti-Trumpers have lost confidence in the constitutional framework of elections, and they’ve flouted the tradition by which the opposition allows the in-power party to present its case to the court of public opinion.

Instead, like the French revolutionaries’ Committee on Public Safety, the unhinged anti-Trumpists assume that they have lost public opinion, given their venom and crudity, and are growing desperate as every legal and paralegal means of removing Trump is nearing exhaustion. Robert Mueller is the last chance, a sort of Watergate or Abu Ghraib that could gin up enough furor to drive down Trump’s poll favorability to the twenties and thereby reduce his person to a demonic force deserving of whatever it gets.

The danger to the country this time around is that the Left has so destroyed the old protocols of the opposition party that it will be hard to resurrect them when progressives return to power.

We are entering revolutionary times. The law is no longer equally applied. The media are the ministry of truth. The Democratic party is a revolutionary force. And it is all getting scary.

We’re not dealing with rational people. There is no consensus reality.

Will the center hold?

AND I notice the Lovely Melania used Bush and Clinton China, whatever, but no ghetto Obama crap. ha🤬

This is how their brains work. What is the worst thing that some physician be accused of and smeared with? Why acting like a frat boy of course. Being drunk and handing out pills which of course is what a Ben (the slow child) Rhodes, Tommy (the luggage handler, Dude!) Vietor et al would do if they had a medical license. And a president? Pissing the bed. And hookers. Don’t forget the hookers! And Russia, Russia, Russia! And now DEMOCRAT US Senators can get screamy and bug-eyed in their portrayal of righteous indignation of such horrible, very bad and Teddy Kennedy-esque (which they saw first hand and ignored for decades) behavior on national DNC/Hillary/Obama media. Dems are now the shit-show.

      • DeniseVB says:

Wasn’t Jackson still Obama’s doctor in 2015 ? So everything was okie-doke then?

        • Lulu says:

Yes. He could hand out pills to them because they are cool but old, tired folks who can’t sleep because of jet lag and huge workloads that is Naw Bruh.

      • Cisco says:

        That’s all the Dem’s have.
Smear, innuendo, character assassination and just plain old fashioned lies.

  5. Lulu says:

Oh goody. The DOJ OIG released the six months of “lost” emails between the Stzrok and Page (who I think of as The Stupids™) to one of the Congressional committees. The FBI conveniently “lost” them (the time frame the dirt is from is critical) and OIG Horowitz promptly “found” them. What horrors did The Stupids™ casually banter about in their endless bitching and kvetching? Hiding your staff’s mess to protect your rice bowl is not nice FBI. And this drops AFTER the state dinner. LOL. Jesus Jim (Comey) has hired his old pal and fellow slimeball St Patrick (Fitzgerald) with St Andrew (McCabe) still trying to scrape together more cash for his (bail?) legal issues. And it’s only Wednesday.

Our First Lady was the hit of the evening. I can’t get enough of these pictures.

Melania steals the show in glittering gown as she and Trump roll out the red carpet at the White House for French President Macron and the first lady as they host their first ever state dinner

    • Lulu says:

I liked Mrs Macron’s dresses and accessories too. I read she wears mostly Louis Vuitton which suits her. She’s tiny and wears stuff that doesn’t overwhelm her little self.

      • Constance says:

She looked great and she doesn’t have as much to work with as Melania.

      • Jadzia says:

Sadly, I can’t find my favorite ridiculous picture of Brigitte Macron, resplendent in an acid-washed Texas Tuxedo on the cover of a French gossip rag. But I swear to God it’s out there somewhere.

    About Melania’s hat.
Last night I watched “To Catch a Thief”.
In the movie Princess Grace was wearing a hat that was a dead ringer for the one Melinia was wearing except the top was cut off and Grace had a black headscarf underneath.
It’s the scene where she and Cary Grant are going out to the beach.

I wonder how many times this fuck was deported

The arrest came just before 10 p.m. after a lengthy car chase involving officers of various law enforcement agencies. Dallas Police Chief U. Renee Hall says 29-year-old Armando Luis Juarez was arrested for aggravated assault on a police officer and felony theft warrants.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings said, “We got our man.”

Hall provided no updates on the conditions of the two police officers and the store employee, who is a loss prevention officer. She asked for continued prayers for their recovery.

  20. BjornTheBorg says:

    “Will the center hold?”
I’d say it’s about a 50-50 chance that the USA lasts through the 250th anniversary of its Constitution. The rapidly intensifying divide between costal and interior states, the inherent instability of the senatorial system giving disproportionate political power to small states, and the inalterable demographic trends all call the viability of the country’s political system in to question.

    • elliesmom says:

As someone from RI, I have come to appreciate the wisdom our founding fathers had when they created a bicameral legislature.

      • BjornTheBorg says:

You benefit from the system, but I’m not sure that it’s wise. When the political preferences of the majority are routinely disregarded, there’s little long-term hope for the political system. Maybe the current arrangements will last a few more decades, but I’m not convinced of it.

        • Lulu says:

Some large states are very considerate of their smaller neighbor states. Some large states are not and are hated for being bullies, tyrants, wish that they would be expelled from the union. The founders used the bi-cameral system to balance the small and the large as did a bicameral system with the peoples house and the states house. I think you know this and try in your own asshole way to be provocative. There are several Federalist Papers from Madison, et al who address this and really better arguments have never been written.

        • elliesmom says:

John Adams spoke about democracy being the tyranny of the majority. He was seconded by James Madison. Edmund Burke agreed. All wise men. OTOH, a straight majority rule would give control of our whole political system to women if we wanted it.

  21. lyn says:

I have to believe that the majority of Americans are not brainwashed idiots and haters.

    • DeniseVB says:

I believe that too. Though the squeaky wheels will always get the grease in the media to make it seem like we’re all bobble heads 😀

      • Lulu says:

Social media has given crazy and stupid people an audience. They used to stay in their house and shut up if they wanted family or employers to give them money. It has popularlized crazy and gives them attention and validation which they crave. There have always been crazy or stupid people but they were ignored or told to knock it off (or they wrote weirdo sick books or comics). Now they can seek each other out. There are clubs of crazy (or dumb or ignorant or personality disordered) so to speak.

        • lateblum says:

Not only has it popularized crazy, it has empowered crazy making it possible for people like Cruz(FL) and this latest nut job in Nashville to maim and kill.

    • lyn says:

They have their global boy toy.

    • Dora says:

I can’t watch any more of it!

      • taw46 says:

I quit watching as well. We all know Macron is a globalist, but I do think he was very blatant about it today, and he a guest of our President. Could have toned it down some.

        • Jadzia says:

This is the guy who had the EU’s “anthem” played at his inauguration as French president. He doesn’t believe in nation-states, doesn’t believe that his own country has a history and culture worth preserving…. I’m not surprised that the Democrats enjoyed his speech, but I am a bit surprised at his bad manners, because he really sees himself as full of klass.

        • Propertius says:

More than twice as many of those “cheese-eating surrender moneys” as Americans gave their lives for US independence at Yorktown. If they hadn’t done so and if the French Navy hadn’t prevented the British from reinforcing Cornwallis, Elizabeth II would be on our money and the Founding Fathers would have been hanged for high treason.

READ THREAD. WTF? Newport News is across the bridge tunnel from Norfolk, you don’t drive through Virginia Beach to get to Norfolk. In fact the first VaBch exit is well past the Norfolk ones. Boyfriend certainly went out of his way just to go to a 7-11. And he ended up in a Chesapeake jail? Somethings not right, I’m guessing Boyfriend is lying, made a drug stop at a 7-11 that was probably being monitored. Happens all time in our area, we even have some police substations IN 7-11s. UNLESS, he took my I-64 exit, stopped at that 7-11 and drove several miles down the road to the Norfolk line. The women is crazy. The misanthropic Hillary Clinton

A curious dualism emerges in New York Times reporter Amy Chozick’s book Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns, and One Intact Glass Ceiling. As I noted yesterday, Chozick makes it clear that she was rooting for Clinton. But she also thinks Clinton hates her.

Chozick shouldn’t take things so personally: Clinton hates everyone. You can’t relate to people you despise. Her inability to master the basics of being a politician inspired one of the great underreported witticisms of the 2016 campaign, when Donald Trump was asked about his comparatively loose debate preparations. “I don’t need to rehearse being human,” he said.
