Ha ! I was right. That was the china Hillary “thought” she got to keep. Well played Melania 😀

  2. Somebody says:

I hope Melania has a spectacular day! She did us all proud with this week’s visit and state dinner! Beauty, grace, elegance, style, our first lady has all that and more in spades. I hope POTUS has some kind of celebration planned.

Breaking news, Dr. Jackson withdrew his name from nomination to head the VA. The left has themselves another scalp 😤

    • DeniseVB says:

I just saw that. Damn Dems, they’ll destroy any good person in the name of the #Resistance.

      • taw46 says:

Anyone in the MSM talking about all of those glowing performance reviews from Obama on Dr Jackson? All I hear is how Trump showed poor judgment, lack of vetting, etc. but no criticism of Obama. So predictable.

      • Constance says:

Well they are destroying the country because Republicans can and will play this game in the next Progressive administration.

    • taw46 says:

They just keep on with their destruction, and the R’s in Congress do nothing to stop it. Seems it is ok with them if people become afraid/reluctant to serve in the Trump administration. The goal is to destroy him and his agenda anyway they can.

      • lateblum says:

I think their goal is mostly to save their own asses. The only way to do that is to get rid of – or do as much damage as possible – to the person whose goal is to drain the swamp and MAGA.

  3. DeniseVB says:

This is my favorite “lefty lurker triggering” photo.

  5. DeniseVB says:

    Just a cool photo.

  6. votermom says:

    This Kyle kid is fearless

This police report shows how incompetent the Cowards of Broward are and how unjustified this interrogation was. They can’t spell “rifle” properly, calling it a “riffle” TWICE, they used my dad’s name for my mom, they practically admit they hadn’t bothered to read the Tweet, yet they had no problem using vicious interrogation tactics on a minor. This is why I went to the range because I need to learn how to protect myself because my area’s law enforcement is systematically incompetent. Honestly, their attempt to silence me in this incident was an epic fail and actually did the polar opposite, so I wanted to thank the Cowards of Broward for strengthening my love for 2A.

    • DeniseVB says:

Kyle challenged David Hogg to a 2A debate, Hogg refused. Love the Kyles, be a Kyle 🙂

My son’s been taking the girls to the gun range since they were 9.

  7. DeniseVB says:

I usually find wax figures creepy, but they did a good job on these guys ❤

  8. helenk3 says:

not since Jackie have we had a first lady with such glamor, class and beauty. She will be remembered for generations,

  9. DeniseVB says:

Here’s a handy chart for leftwingnut stupidity.

  10. helenk3 says:

kids need rules and boundries. They help them learn and grow. Also teaches them actions have consequences. That seems to be lost today.
They have been so indoctrinated that many will be useless to society. We allowed the government to take over and parent them. The my house, my rules has been lost.

    • helenk3 says:

      and then there is this.

I remember when my neighbor’s son got several scholarships and chose to go to Temple. It was during the Viet Nam War. A professor was ranting and raving against the military. Jimmy got up walked out and joined the service.
Temple is not a school I would send a kid to

      • DandyTIger says:

Not sure there are many good schools left, but a guide for non socialists to schools would be nice to have.

        • Somebody says:

My older daughter turned down a couple of full ride scholarships to stay at home and attend the local community college, because it was the only college her stupid boyfriend could get into. (Side note, she missed one question on the ACT….she could have gone anywhere she wanted, except she’d have to leave jackass….he eventually left her)

While she was attending said community college they got approval for and became a four year institution. She ended up finishing her entire undergraduate degree there and she LOVED it. The college has a varied age range, lots of adults returning and what not. A lot of the professors are former military and some are retired from the corporate world, of course there are also liberal professors but not nearly as many as most schools. Most of the professors openly encouraged discussion and debate. If nobody took a contrary point of view the professor would to encourage discussion and deeper understanding. To this day, my daughter talks about some of her professors or discussions in certain classes.

When she headed off to grad school she was looking forward to more of the same on a larger scale……she couldn’t wait. First week she found out it was the liberal, SJW way or the highway. She didn’t kowtow and was considered a pariah by students and faculty alike. There was literally a betting pool on how long she’d last. One of the TA’s gently tried to convince her perhaps she was in the wrong place and that she wasn’t going to make it. She told him she would not only succeed, but she would excel. She told him by the end of her time there she’d have her fellow students clamoring to collaborate with her and she’d not only have the respect of every professor, but they’d be eating out of the palm of her hand………she was right by the way. There was one professor that secretly cheered her on, secretly encouraged her, etc. She still keeps in touch with him.

Moral of the story is I think, smaller might be better??? To be fair this particular school has some kind of agreement with the military, lots of military students especially online. They have a pretty big online presence, although you’ve probably never heard of them.

          • DeniseVB says:

❤ your daughter ! My kids thrived in small schools.

          • John Denney says:

Great story, Somebody. You’ve raised her to have enough spine to stand alone and make her case, earning respect.

And I’m pretty sure she didn’t make her case by emotional chanting of slogans, but by calm rational facts, logic, and reasoning.

        • Lulu says:

OK I’ll defend huge universities. All three of mine went to huge Texas uni’s, UT-Austin and one at Tech. The kids self select their peer groups usually by major or by academic groups. All had some huge airport hanger sized classes and some small ones. All got to be friends with profs who were interested in specific fields. All made friends with kids with varying backgrounds with similar interests and that led to connections and jobs and maintaining a network. All three studied varied subjects with fantastic course offerings (daughter loves H W Brands with whom she took two classes, an old influential architect who gave only her drafting assignments (she was a state champion high school drafter), and a guy who turned her on to statistics) none of which were her major. The boys got internships in the summers with hands on engineering experience. Big schools are not for everyone but mine enjoyed them and got to study what they were interested in learning.

          • DeniseVB says:

I’m in awe of your kids too! My kids were academically average, but proof there’s a school for everyone. 🙂

          • Jadzia says:

Before the U of C, I spent some time at a big state school (it was one of those “go to college free” programs for high-school kids who needed a challenge) and was really, really happy there, especially with the combination of huuuuge classes for the basis (Psych 101, anybody?) and smaller seminars in just about any wacky thing you can imagine. I had seminars in modern European history, Egyptology (taught by an AMAZING adjunct) and, I kid you not, “The Philosophy of Sex,” which my parents weren’t too thrilled about.

        • Jadzia says:

I hated my time at the University of Chicago, but if you’re looking for a top-notch, secular, conservative (in terms of the required curriculum) undergraduate education, well–if it don’t kill ya, it’ll make ya stronger. I’m glad to have gone there even though, like I said, it was absolute hell at the time.

      • mothy2017 says:

I went there back in late 80’s. When vmom’s KTE was looking at schools I strongly advised against Temple.

      • votermom says:

Aside from being a Leftist indoctrination center, Temple’s neighborhood is very very dangeorus. Kids getting mugged, shot, brained with bricks…

  11. DeniseVB says:

Yeah, good question. I effing hate the Dems today.

    • DeniseVB says:

That was fun ! I noticed her inaugural gown is in the Smithsonian, and Michelle’s now on First Ladies row behind Melania. Next to Laura Bush (red) MO certainly is the gigantor, good thing she didn’t have to be next to Nancy Reagan, who’s a teeny tiny 🙂 I do think Melania wore her dress better than the headless manequin, or just a bad angle.

  12. DeniseVB says:

I’m enjoying the birthday cards on twitter. The pink dress was one of my favorites 🙂

My admiration for Melania Trump knows no bounds. Not only is she gracious, and a class act, she has a sense of history, a respect for tradition, and knows the value of freedoms in the USA.
If anyone thought she wasn’t enjoying being Flotus, this State Dinner should have removed those ideas, completely.
As soon as I saw that historic hat, I knew Melania had grasped, and was achieving her own place in the history of our country. She is making her own mark, and will be remembered fondly, and with admiration.
I hope she has a spectacular birthday. There should be fireworks!

    • taw46 says:

I agree with all of that. And she is a strong, confident woman to withstand all the hate from the left. Oh, and her love of children. My heart melts when she visits children. ❤️

      We do indeed need fireworks!

  16. Myiq2xu™ says:

I love waking up to a fresh new post!

  17. Myiq2xu™ says:

Melania Trump is truly regal. She is not a queen, but she still has the bearing and manner of royalty. She would look natural wearing a crown.

She does not deserve the way she has been treated by the Left.

    • elliesmom says:

I have a friend who often posts pics of Melania, calls her vile names, and insists Michelle Obama has more class. I just respond with a picture of Michelle. There’s a treasure trove of really classless pics of her, and she keeps adding more. I have no fear I’ll run out.

  18. DeniseVB says:

Well, yeah, Mel’s pretty much knocked Michelle’s legacy for a loop, effortlessly 😉

I saw that live, Katrina victims’ fundraiser. I remember when Kanye said President Bush didn’t care about black people, Mike’s face went into total deer in the headlights shock mode 😀 I was no fan of GWB, but it wasn’t his fault the poorest people in NOLA lived below sea level or the “black” mayor didn’t evacuate them as buses sat idle in parking lots.

Whatever Kanye’s doing now for #MAGA is probably a publicity stunt, but that’s Kanye and a lot of clueless lefties don’t get that. Let’s bash him and get those clicks from the perpetually angry dumbasses 😀

      • helenk3 says:

there was also a 10 car passenger train at NO train station waiting for evacuees. nobody told the people. that train would have carried almost 1000 people. each car has 87 seats and it could carry standees

        • Somebody says:

Yep and yep. I’m in FL and I knew about the train. You can’t fix stupid.

The problem was mostly complacency. Numerous times the big one was coming and it didn’t materialize.

It happens, if my area suffers a direct hit many will lose lives. Because of the curvature of the coastline we rarely get direct hits, but we are not immune. We haven’t had a direct hit since the 1800’s. Matthew hit 30-40 miles to the north, so we got the “weak” side. In 1964 Dora hit about 60-70 miles to the south. Irma tore this area up and it was a west coast, gulf storm 😮

Hopefully Irma made a believer out of our population. I know it did me. I can NOT imagine a direct hit, given the flooding Irma produced. Of course Irma was massive, stretched across the state and pushed water in from the Atlantic and Gulf. I will never forget big sailboats sailing through the streets of downtown Jacksonville, surreal.

Second Broward County Sheriff’s deputy dead, at 53

On April 9, 2018, I re-blogged Dr. James Tracy’s post on the sudden and untimely death, at age 42, of Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Fitzsimons, who had questioned the Parkland school shooting’s gun control agenda.

Now comes an announcement of another Broward County deputy death — that of 53-year-old Marshall Peterson. Yesterday, the Broward Sheriff tweeted this:

A blind man was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night on the West Side.

Chicago police said the 50-year-old victim was standing on the corner in the 3800-block of West Roosevelt Road at about 9:30 p.m. A vehicle approached and police said someone inside fired shots, hitting the victim in the back.
A blind guy. That’s not even fair. He can’t see where the bullets are coming from.

A 16-year-old boy shot in the Austin neighborhood Wednesday afternoon has died, officials said.

The shooting happened in the 4800 block of West Monroe Street around 2:30 p.m., police said.

The boy was pronounced dead on the scene and taken to Loretto Hospital, according to police and Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt.
Blind guys. Juveniles. Next thing you know we’re going to have 30 and 40 people shot in a weekend.
