Socialism, a system so perfect only perfect people can implement it successfully.

    • DeniseVB says:

Did I miss Jimmy Kimmel’s tribute to Alfie Evans death by socialized medicine ? I should see that clip any day now, right? 😛

  2. elliesmom says:

Socialism is the economics of envy. The reality is if we took all of the money in the world and distributed it evenly among all of the people, everyone would be poor. If we left the system unfettered, in a few generations we’d have rich people and poor people again.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

We cannot make the world rich by making ourselves poor.

    • swanspirit says:

I recently watched Howard’s End, on Starz, and that statement is in the dialogue. It’s from the book, too of course, but it’s interesting to read it again here. It’s so true.
      Henry, the businessman speaks:
“There always have been rich and poor. I’m no fatalist. Heaven forbid! But our civilization is moulded by great impersonal forces” (his voice grew complacent; it always did when he eliminated the personal), “and there always will be rich and poor. You can’t deny it” (and now it was a respectful voice)–“and you can’t deny that, in spite of all, the tendency of civilization has on the whole been upward.” (22.15)

    • John Denney says:

I seem to recall The Klown saying something like the poor are not poor because the rich robbed them; poverty was the starting point for all mankind.

I thought that to be profound.

myiq saved a lot of our souls and brought us back from the abyss of political stupidity. I found him through RD’s blog. 😉

Apparently Maxine Waters said Kanye talks out of turn and needs help formulating his thoughts.

Sounds like a threat to me.

    • 49erDweet says:

Did Maxine just read that somewhere? Isn’t she too dumb herself to have come up with that on her own?

      • helenk3 says:

another rapper put out a threat against him.
my question, who is the real “uncle Tom” the guy who escapes from the plantation or they guy who threatens the escapee?

It’s true about NYC. There has been a movement for Long Island to secede from the state for over 20 years already. I signed it twice. It’s not going anyplace. Instead the dems are taking over L.I. too. Drats!

    • swanspirit says:

It’s very similar in Maryland. The state is red, with the exception of Baltimore City, and one D.C. bedroom county, and of course it’s gerrymandered out the wazoo too. But we are closer to swinging the state all the time. If the Dims lose even part of the black vote, Maryland could go red, it’s almost purple now.

      • DeniseVB says:

The Va/Md DC suburbs need to be annexed to DC, they are that worthless.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

They gerrymandered my area beyond belief. Frederick is over 20 miles from me in a very populated area but they took a strip of a district up I270 and took away the voice of part of western Maryland. Sold it as if they were saving the “rednecks” from themselves. I preferred the original reps from that area had but now they have the sane crappy ones as this part of very blue goo Montgomery county.

    • Ann says:

The population of “upstate” New York far exceeds the population of NYC. The problem is getting the cities of Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, and even tiny Ithaca to vote with “upstate” vs NYC. (hint: ain’t gonna happen)

Breaking away from NYC would form a red state of NY. I think that is why it will never happen.

    I have a question
I went to the pharmacist the other day and in with the vitamins there were bottle of pills labeled
    horny goat weed for men.
    what the hell is that?

    • Cisco says:

You just know I had to find out.
Horny Goat Weed comes from a perennial plant called Epimedium. Horny Goat Weed has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years and has recently gained popularity in the west. This plant has been described in ancient Chinese medicinal texts as an aphrodisiac, increasing libido in both the Yin and Yang (Male and Female). Horny Goat Weed has also been used for weak back and knees, mental and physical fatigue, memory loss, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, joint pain, high blood pressure, erectile dysfunction as well as many other ailments.*

      • helenk3 says:

thank you. I knew what I thought it meant by the name but I wanted to make sure

      • Somebody says:

Well damn horny goat weed will cure what ails ya! I guess we all need some 😋

  20. Cisco says:

Now how is it that the salary has remained the same for over a decade, yet when they leave office their worth tens of millions $$$?

      Theodore Roosevelt Jr.
The only General Officer to land with the first wave of troops on D-Day.

      • SHV says:

His son Cpt. Quentin Roosevelt II also landed at Utah Beach with his father. Gen. T.R. Jr. was one of the first soldiers to step off the landing craft onto Utah Beach; he died a month later of a heart attack at age 56.

        • Cisco says:

          No disrespect at all.
But there were plenty of Cpt’s, Lt’s, etc.
But there was only one General on the beach that day.
And he had to use a cane to get around.
I have to use one and it’s a bitch to use on dry ground.
IMO every man that hit the beach that day facing murdeous gunfire is a hero.

          • SHV says:

“But there were plenty of Cpt’s, Lt’s, etc.”
But how many father-son duos landing on Utah Beach?

  22. DeniseVB says:

We’re definitely on the right side of the aisle ❤

Reminds me of someone. Hmmm. Kathy Griffin?

    • Mt.Laurel says:

The scuttlebutt is that a lot that was said no one is even willing to repeat it was that vulgar and vicious. I had never heard of this person before and hope to never hear about her again. But the group that hired her knew what they were getting and apparently did not set any ground rules thinking it would be fun fun fun!. They simply did not expect a backlash and have now found their modern Titanic does not have enough life boats.

      • taw46 says:

I have seen her once or twice, did not care for her. And you are correct, they knew exactly what they were getting. They just didn’t expect the backlash that has come with it.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

The lovers of all things WP at the office were all a buzz over the horrid treatment poor comic is getting . My understanding from what I heard is that she has a show coming(?) on Netflix but this was a special that was a separate deal. All I know is that I “recycled” the WP with the composite. According to the koolaid brigade Ta huge full page spread on how she is special and peons just do not get her humor.

why is this not a surprise? maybe they are looking for some of that cartel money that runs the Mexican politicians. Shall we just call California, Mexico North?

  26. helenk3 says:

I am confused. Didn’t trump try to end it and the courts stopped him from doing so?

    • Cisco says:

I think the SCOTUS is supposed to rule on this in May.

    • Lulu says:

This is what prompted Sessions (and Trump) to set a 6 month grace period to deal with DACA, end it or come up with some legislation. Texas et al knew they would do nothing but agreed to postpone the lawsuit until after March 2018. Now it starts back up in court (fed courts in Texas killed DAPA for DACA parents) which will kill it and be upheld in the Fifth Circuit. Sessions said he would not defend DACA with DOJ because it is illegal, does not meet any criteria to just impose this stuff on states, etc. Now the Dems (and businesses who want them and will think twice when they see the legal fees) have to pay the legal bills for it instead of the federal tax payers to defend an illegal rule change by INS for illegal aliens. The other courts are ruling for DACA in a case that they don’t have original jurisdiction anyway.

“The danger to the country this time around is that the Left has so destroyed the old protocols of the opposition party that it will be hard to resurrect them when progressives return to power.

We are entering revolutionary times. The law is no longer equally applied. The media are the ministry of truth. The Democratic party is a revolutionary force. And it is all getting scary.”

“Student activists demand ‘reparations’: exclusion of white authors from humanities course”
“Reedies Against Racism argues that Humanities 110, “Introduction to Humanities: Greece and the Ancient Mediterranean,” has become even less diverse with the addition of texts from the Americas”

I think that’s a great idea!! I think a “reparations” movement should be started to remove all “White” math and science from the MIT curriculum.

      that is strange

    • jenlyntx says:

Disney is totally 100MILLION percent the main sexualizer of children on a world wide basis. The Disney Channel on TV–go watch it. I dare you. Utter filth. Children do not have million dollar wardrobes, hair stylists and dress and talk like adults AND talk sexual and talk about relationships with opposite sex more adult than average adult UNLESS you are sexualizing children and stealing their youth–it is called pimping.

I was just coming over to TCH, to say almost the same thing. Mueller, and the traitorous Dims, are willing to imperil this country, our laws and freedoms, and the possibility of global peace, to go after our duly elected POTUS, for a nonexistent crime. For what purpose? Power, greed, and revenge. This is evil, and I don’t use that word lightly, that cannot be tolerated. There is far too much at stake, for every human being on the planet.

    • jenlyntx says:

This is what is sad and only attorneys understand. What the evil ones (all democrats and republicans who are not TRUMPIANS) are doing is killing the good people by legal means. Innocent people still have to hire attorneys despite being 100% innocent and the reason GOOD people will not take jobs with TRUMP presidency is because they know the cost. If the Republicans in Washington were worth not killing they would be holding daily press conferences on this. EVIL is so large people it is almost incomprehensible.
