Back To The Beginning Of Russiagate

Somebody needs to go to prison for the rest of their life. Maybe several somebodies.

I want to go back to the beginning. We the People joined Russiagate after the election. I want to discuss where it started.

Assume that you are the ideal FBI Director. Your courage, integrity, and love for America are unimpeachable. You are untainted by politics or scandal. All you care about is doing your best job for the American people.

How do you conduct an investigation of the GOP nominee (or his inner circle) in the months before an election without the full knowledge and express approval of the President? Is there any scenario where that makes sense? Absolutely-fucking-not.

First of all, what would it take to even trigger an investigation of the GOP nominee? You’re gonna need more than an anonymous tip. You will need solid, credible evidence of wrongdoing. This isn’t something that has been publicly known to be under investigation for years. I am talking about something new.

Let’s suppose a former British intelligence office brings you a dossier filled with lurid and sensational allegations. In addition to some allegations about peeing prostitutes the central allegation is that the GOP nominee is in collusion with the Russian government. That is kind of a big deal.

Before you do anything else you are going to head over to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and speak to your boss. You will do whatever you need to do to get a private meeting with the President. You will share the contents of the dossier, and then you will ask him “What are my orders?”

If the contents of the dossier are true it will be the biggest political scandal in United States history. It could easily lead to war between the US and Russia. There is no way that it isn’t huge.

But if it is not true then that’s pretty big too. If this story leaks out it will almost certainly affect the outcome of the upcoming election. This is an issue above your paygrade. There is only one person with the authority to make these decisions. POTUS. Barack H. Obama.

So you talk it over and he gives you your instructions. If he tells you to shitcan it then you do. More than likely he will tell you to check out the allegations in the dossier. But this must be done in the strictest secrecy.

(We know now that the FBI was unable to corroborate the central allegation of collusion. I am fully confident that Donald J. Trump did not collude with Russia.)

I skipped over some stuff. The FBI allegedly did not receive the dossier until after the election. At that point the investigation had been underway for several months. Which raises another important question: When did the investigation start and what triggered it?

The answer to that question is unclear. There is evidence that there was some kind of investigation going on as early as April 2016. I recall Hillary making repeated references to Trump and Russia at least that far back. This is a critical question because there are a number of sworn statements that state the investigation didn’t start until August and there were two separate FISA warrants that were filed. Last but not least, we know the dossier originated with Hillary’s campaign.

Why is this all important? Because if Trump isn’t guilty then somebody tried to frame him. Both Obama and Hillary Clinton are potentially implicated, along with Comey and various people at the DOJ, FBI, White House, and Hillary’s Henchmen.

The media, of course, is totally uninterested in making these inquiries. I can imagine a number of various scenarios, but I won’t list them all here. But even if this was a legitimate, good faith investigation then there are some questions that deserve answers. The stories we have been told thus far raise more questions than they answer.

The best possible explanation is that Comey and the FBI were incompetent bumblers. But that doesn’t explain how some unverified oppo research from Hillary’s campaign ended up being used as the basis for a special prosecutor investigation. The worst-case scenario involves Hillary and Obama committing serious abuses of power.

Like I said at the beginning, somebody should be in prison over this.

Here’s my pet theory. Hillary was under investigation for her email server. The Feeb guys knew she would be cleared but the investigation was being used by Trump to bash her.

What if word leaked out that Trump was under investigation too? They just needed a plausible reason to start an investigation so that they could leak that is was going on. They expected Trump to lose anyway and they weren’t trying to put him in jail. They just wanted to sully him a little and maybe earn some brownie points with the next POTUS.

It took them a couple tries to get one started but by July they had authorization. But they didn’t do much because they weren’t really investigating anything. Unfortunately they couldn’t get the media to bite. At some point the dossier got incorporated.

Then Hillary lost and they freaked out. Trump had to be stopped. That’s when they got busy again. The story hit the news and took on a life of its own from there. But these guys are cops, not secret agents or political operatives. There were too many holes to fill They were locked in and there was too much scrutiny to get away with anything. Then slowly but surely their story started to be picked apart.

    And here we are.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

Conspiracies like these are not typically well-planned and organized. They don’t hold meetings or post newsletters. If they are smart they commit nothing to writing.

There is a small core that knows everything, and a larger group that is involved but only knows bits and pieces. Comey would have to have guilty knowledge, but he might not have been one of the original schemers. There had to be a considerable number at DOJ and the White House who knew something was up.

I’m guessing Obama knew the major parts but has plausible deniability. There will be no smoking gun tying him to it. Hillary knew about the dossier but not necessarily the rest. Her people have lots of experience at this stuff and there would be no need of specific orders. When you are doing really sketchy stuff it is easier to get forgiveness than permission.

But she definitely knew the collusion story before anyone else was talking about it.

      • Lulu says:

The Dems (which includes the entire DC bureacracy) were furious that Trump was beating up on Hillary so effectively (but not at her for being such a worn out old drunk scuz bucket) and were bottom netting whatever they could dig up on Trump. He was surprisingly clean for someone who had been in NYC so long so they went to his international dealings and used the bottom feeders who feed off crap in Europe. The gatherers of this garbage are hustlers and loser money grubbers on the edge of respectibility. They have “contacts” and hang around bars, symposiums, think tanks, spy rings, and lobbyists. And John McCain. And of course the Clintons. They live by hustling crap, disinformation, smears, arms deals then fading back into the roach motels of Europe. In the US they work for the State Dept or DOJ. Scum and bums. And really rather ridiculous when you look at them and their idiot dealings.

        • swanspirit says:

Don’t forget Barry Husseins’s modus operandi, from his larvae like ugly grub worm beginnings, has been to dig up dirt on any and all opponents. He got his skill set in character assassination in Chicago. Every bit of ugly divorce, to sex scandal, found it’s way into the mafia, oops media headlines during every campaign he ever ran.
And somehow, he never knew about it until he read it in the paper!

      • Lulu says:

        …they committ nothing to writing.
That is why McCabe and Comey and their Katzenjammer Kids Strok and Page are so extraordinary. If you can rid yourself of the disgust and horror at what they all did it is one of the funniest things ever. Their mean girls cheerleader squad plotting and dissing is hilarious. From Comey to Brennan to Strok/Page to Ben Rhodes to Susan Rice to Mooch to McCabe and Hillary, all of them, ALL of them are emotionally stunted and maladjusted doofus tweens who shit talk everything (and how Trump could get their goat by showing disrepect and shit-talking back to them at their own level sending them into tweeny blind furies) and just make it up as they go ignoring the cliff. They had to get Daddy Mueller to try to clean up.

        • Myiq2xu™ says:

Other than a penchant for hot women and a couple tabloid divorces Trump has never been associated with scandals. He wasn’t in shady business deals with sketchy Russian mobsters. And he has an army of lawyers and accountants. But he doesn’t drink or use drugs. He’s actually more of a square than people realize.

They just assumed he had lots of skeletons.

          • Lulu says:

They think everyone is as scummy as they are. And the non-imbiber/drug user is huge.

          • swanspirit says:

It is huge, considering the circles he ran in, for decades. For decades he sat back, clean and sober, and observed who did what, and who did whom. And he remembers clearly.

          • Constance says:

The fact that Trump doesn’t drink or use drugs is why I just can’t believe the Stormy Daniels crap. He couldn’t have been drunk when he supposedly banged her and he can afford beautiful and discrete call girls so why some whoreish porn star, pass around who seems at best classless and also dirty/germ infested. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

          • Underwhelmed says:

But he does have a lot of skeletons. And they all belong to other people …

          • blowme0bama says:

I’m pretty sure a NY real estate developer has had dealings with the mob over a 40+ year career. We didn’t elect him to be a saint. My favorite His44 line: “When you’re in a snake pit, you don’t care who hands you a stick”.

        • Myiq2xu™ says:

The Obama mob is good at organized messaging. If their policy stuff was half as good as their politics they might have left a real legacy. They know how to win but not how to govern.

          Trump had Twitter.

          • Lulu says:

They thought the message was reality. It isn’t. Now they know it. Bronco is/was a PR campaign to sell garbage/self-esteem/fantasy. HOPE! was the product and the outcome was to be all their stupid f’ups and inadequies in life would disappear. But nope. Still there.

          • Constance says:

I think the Obamaites almost succeeded and their goal wasn’t to Make America Great but for some reason to ruin America. I also think it is the grace of God that Trump won. A few years of the USA on Obamaized autopilot would have finished the country off. Hillary didn’t want any part of governing except for the posing and the money in side deals.

          • John Denney says:

When Obama became President my thought was that he was like a dog who finally caught the car he was chasing. Now what?

Possibly. I just know one thing – white supremacists keep a low profile in Oakland. Imagine if Harlem was its own city. You don’t in there and think you are in charge because you are white.

One Sunday morning we were driving thru Oakland on the way to a Raiders game. We were stopped at a light when I noticed something. There were a lot of people around us. The only white faces anywhere in sight were the ones in my car.

        • swanspirit says:

That happened to me, many many years ago, in Washington D.C. I was headed home to Baltimore, and took the wrong exit off of that ~*¡#!&£¥€ roundabout, and ended up in a neighborhood where I was the only pale face, with blonde hair, anywhere in sight. Except I was very much younger, and alone. And I was catching a lot of stares and head turns in my direction, when I stopped at red lights.
It was summer, but I rolled up the windows and locked the doors, and found my way out of town asap. It was an unsettling experience,

        • helenk3 says:

I was driving home from work one evening through Oakland. All of a sudden cars came from everywhere. First time I ever saw cars do wheelies. I was the only white person around. I will admit I was scared. I thought I was in the middle of a riot. Here some sports team had won and they were celbrating.
          not a good feeling

Heedless of protocol, contemptuous of niceties, and scornful of Washington business-as-usual, Trump has blown past one impossible task after another in what is already the most consequential presidency since FDR’s. Practically from the day he took office, the listless Obama economy vanished. American oil production boomed. He ended Obama’s illegal and unconstitutional DACA program, laughed off the Paris “climate change” foolishness, tore up the Iran “deal,” got Kim Jong-un’s attention in Korea, and moved the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to fulfill the combined campaign promises of at least the past three presidents.

And they said it couldn’t be done. In fact, they’re still saying it, even after it has been done, with lots more to come.”

  31. One or more Republican candidates started the dossier, not Hillary Clinton. It was probably created and LATER given to Hillary Clinton because of how obnoxiously Trump spoke about many of his Republican rivals during the Republican Nomination campaign.

Hillary Clinton was twice outed by Comey BEFORE the election, if Trump was being investigated, he was NOT outed prior to the election, and you can thank Obama for that. If it had been known that Trump was being investigated before the election, the millions of moderates who switched to Trump, some would have come back to Clinton.

Democrat emails released, not Republican emails.
Clinton publicly charged prior to the Election, not Trump.
Trump won the nomination by bashing his opponents, then when they create a dossier, it’s of course Hillary Clinton who created it.

This is probably your dumbest article ever. Normally you make good points, not this time.

    • Somebody says:

      Call a whambulance, boo boo.

It is true the R’s hired fusion for OPPO research, but it was the Clinton cabal that hired Steele and paid for the dossier, also the DNC and possibly the FBI.

It is quite possible the Bush clan has their fingerprints on it too, Stefan Halper is a Bushie. Clearly John Brennan was deeply involved, as well as the FBI small group and some over at DOJ, plus the UK it appears. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear other right leaning never Trumpers have dirty hands in this. After all, politics does make strange bedfellows. Still the Clinton campaign commissioned and paid for the dossier, that fact is not in dispute, I don’t know why you think it is.

The reason there was no discussion about the Trump investigation is because TPTB thought Hillary had it in the bag. There is also the little technicality that it was/is a counter intelligence investigation, so by its nature highly classified…..not that leaking or mishandling classified information is a big deal to the Obama and Clinton crews, but it is a felony.

All appearances are this has been an attempt to frame and/or entrap Trump. If you can’t see that you are blind.

As for what Comey did to Hillary I agree with you it was inappropriate. (I admit I laughed and I’m sure it probably did help Trump, but it was wrong for Comey to do what he did). All the more reason he shouldn’t be FBI director, I’m glad POTUS fired him too bad he didn’t do it sooner.

As for the emails, the most damaging were Podesta’s emails and even he admits he fell for a phishing scheme. I’ve yet to see proof that Russia hacked the DNC server. Why didn’t they give the FBI access? Crowdstrike is NOT law enforcement and they are not an adequate substitute for LE. Seth Rich was unavailable for comment.
