Happy Independence Day!

Why doesn’t America knock?

Because freedom rings!

About President-Elect Myiq2xu

In 2020 I have seen many things I thought I would never see. I feel like I am living in a George Orwell novel.

    🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Left a seasonal “Gaying It Up In The Kitchen” killer recipe for ribs in the last post. Check it out if you dare 🤣🤣🤣

    • DandyTIger says:

      Looks amazing.

      • Anthony says:

It’s really good. That’s the basic recipe, but I always ad-lib. Today, I deglazed the pan with Cachasa (Brazilian moonshine made from sugar cane) A buddy makes it from scratch at his grandparents house in Queens.

    • votermom says:

      that recipe sounds delicious

    • swanspirit says:

That recipe looks amazing Anthony!!! I usually do mine in the oven.

    • blowme0bama says:

      I saw it. Different strokes.

I only eat them smoked, dry, no aluminum foil wrapping, and then a little of this killer vinegar / sugar / red pepper based sauce recipe I was able to steal at the end. Then I dip the ribs as I eat them in the sauce.

My WIFE would probably love your recipe. She loves them all mushy and soft. I can’t even cook ribs anymore because our tastes are so different.

      • Anthony says:

Like I said, I’m a New Yorker, so…. Years ago, I toured the entire South to write a paper on the social significance of the front porch. Had a LOT of great barbecue. Until then, I never knew there were so many variations. I seem to prefer Carolina to any other. (Don’t shoot me… 🙂 )

        • blowme0bama says:

The sauce I mentioned is a variation of the eastern Carolina vinegar sauces. It is unique in this part of the deep south though.

          • Anthony says:

So lets have it – cough up the recipe!

          • blowme0bama says:

Anthony, you asked for it before – I did not overlook your request. It is so good, I have a law partner that wants me to share it with him and license it to a client of his who makes sauces, seasoning packages and such then markets them to retailers. It’s sort of a potential income source but I’ve never followed up on it – and I’m also like, “I’ve got the recipe, why the hell should you get a cut out of it just because its your client?” I don’t know any way to share it without losing the rights to it (that I stole fair and square). Well, I do, but having someone sign an NDA just to get a fucking recipe is ridiculous.

          • Anthony says:

Alrighty then. No harm, no foul

        • blowme0bama says:

Check your Sybil email. I sent it anyway. You’re going to have to reduce it proportionally because it’s made for restaurant use.

      • swanspirit says:

        That sounds yummy too!!

      • John Denney says:

I cut the rack in thirds to make it easier to handle, season them, stack ’em on a plate, cover with plastic wrap and let sit in the fridge until the next night.
Then I smoke them an hour and a half or so in a Weber kettle with the lid on, with a pan of water in the bottom to keep them from drying out. The smoke source is just a few briquets in a 8 to 12 ounce tin can with both ends cut out. Smoke can is on one side of the kettle, ribs on the other.
Then I put them in a covered roasting pan with herbs and garlic and let them slow cook overnight at 170 degrees.
Next day, I take them out of the oven late in the morning and refrigerate the whole pan.
Just before dinner, start a bunch of charcoal for a really hot BBQ, put the ribs on a plate, scraping any fat and jelly back into the roasting pan.
Remove the hardened fat from the jelly and discard it.
Make BBQ sauce from the jelly by (for one rack) adding 1/3 cup each of cider vinegar and brown sugar, a tablespoon of tomato paste, a splash of soy sauce, and any favorite herbs and spices. I like rosemary, hint of cloves, mace, cinnamon, and anise seeds, ginger, and crushed red pepper, Boil it down to syrup; it will have big bubbles (half inch) all over when it’s ready.
Char the ribs slightly over the really hot coals, turning after about a minute and a half. Keep turning them about once a minute until they’re sizzling and starting to char on both sides, then brush them with the sauce, turn, brush with sauce, turn, repeating until the sauce is used up.
Remove from the BBQ, cut into individual ribs, and serve.
They’re still pink all the way through, not falling off the bone, firm, but very tender and juicy.
I prefer spare ribs to baby backs, which is convenient, because they cost less. 🙂

        • blowme0bama says:

Wow, that’s a lot of work. I’m sure it’s pretty good. I realize I’m on the far end of the spectrum, I just like mine firm and dry with caramelized fat. Nothing more in seasoning than light salt and pepper with the vinegar sauce splashed on for about the last 15 minutes.

          • ginainmo says:

You would enjoy our KC style ribs then. Dry rub only, smoke at 225-250 for about 4 hours. No sauce except on the table. KC style ribs don’t fall off the bone, they should have a bit of chew to it. We like to use hickory and apple eood

Have you noticed all the anti-Trump tweets today? The left can’t even celebrate Independence Day, they are so full of hate.

    • blowme0bama says:

Well, I recall the 4th didn’t feel too great when Zero was in the WH to me either. Fretting what those Marxists were going to fuck up each day didn’t inspire much celebration.

      • lateblum says:

        Same here.
However, I did celebrate that bronco bama could not be President for Life.

        • blowme0bama says:

Yeah, I remember that being something that sustained me early on. I was afraid there’d been so much infiltration and propagandizing in his 8 years that enough Americans had been brainwashed to believe “America is over – and it’s cool”. If HRC had won, the only way out would have been secession.

    • Anthony says:

We already #WalkedAway. Fuck them lmao

        • Anthony says:

Excellent! Bet his appearance on the Ingraham Angle had a lot to do with that. He seemed much less nervous than he did on Tucker’s show.

          • mothy2017 says:

And his goal, purpose, whatever was clearer. I thought on Tucker he talked too fast and I think the movement was kinda vague.

          • Anthony says:

I think he was a little nervous on Tucker. Much more confident on Ingraham. This guy is exactly what we need. Still suspicious, but not too. I learned how to #walkaway a long time ago

          • DeniseVB says:

I just saw the video, Laura was definitely on his side, whereas I think Tucker thought he had another “crazy liberal” to snack on 🙂 The video is on his website….https://walkawaycampaign.wordpress.com/

          • taw46 says:

His slot was too short on Tucker’s show. Had it been longer Tucker would have interacted with him, because he liked what he had to say. I am hoping Tucker will bring him back for a longer segment.

Oh wait, she still chose to come to this hateful place.

“A Guatemalan migrant living in Miami — reunited over the weekend with her young daughter after crossing the U.S.-Mexico border — has a message for asylum seekers: find refuge in another country because Americans “don’t have hearts.”

    https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/07/03/asylum-claiming-migrant-people-in-usa-dont-have-hearts/

    • Anthony says:

Amazing how Americans who hate America are lobbying for Central Americans who hate America to illegally migrate to our “heartless” country.

Question: If someone breaks into your home, do you call them a family member and support them for the rest of your life? or do you call the police and have them arrested? (asking for a brain dead Democrat)

      • Underwhelmed says:

The fact that some people don’t understand that analogy is a sad, sad comment on the idiocy that abounds today. Also, happy 4th July to you wonderful people.

    • lateblum says:

So, when will she return to her homeland? And when will she attempt this ILLEGAL entry into the USA again? I’d Iike to know.

    • John Denney says:

Funny how they come here rather than to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Belize, Panama, Columbia, Venezuela, . . .

Just went out on the deck and a Bald Eagle was flying circles over the house, haven’t seen one since one landed in a tree in the yard the day after PDJT was elected. Maybe it like Ground Hog day; years more of MAGA!

    • DeniseVB says:

We recently had an adult and juvenile over the lake, the parent was teaching his kid how to fish ! We were mesmerized watching that and concluded Eagles must be conservative birds 😀

      • taw46 says:

When I worked at KSC, there were about 13 nests on the property. Two were right next to the road, so we watched the little ones grow. And watched the parents teaching them how to fly. Fascinating.

That’s quite a place to visit. Only a few people at a time are allowed in the room at once to limit carbon dioxide in the air even though the documents are sealed. Lots of guards too. So much history, so much love for our forefathers. We got there for opening and the line was already a 45 minute wait to get in.

“It’s unbelievable that people that are so ignorant, they’ll be such foolish servants of those who want a dictator, want a totalitarian government. And, that’s the only way you can have socialism. You have to force people – to take from those according to their ability and give to those according to their need – it takes a totalitarian government to make that work.”

I wish he’d remove conservative from his bio. He may well have had serious conservative leanings all a long but going from gay, east village actor/hairdresser in a few months seems a bit much. Walking away from dims doesn’t mean you step away from everything she had espoused. Kevin Dejan did the same sort of thing.

      • DeniseVB says:

I’ve been Walking Away since 2008. Kevin was one of the first steps I made, RD and her “PUMAs”, Amy Siskind and her New Agenda? Threw money at all of them, then they broke my heart. Tea Party gave me new hope, but Obama’s weaponized IRS, AND the GOPe, shut them down pretty fast. Oh what a ride this has been. Conservative isn’t a bad thing, it’s much better than the activist wing of the LBGT’s, I learned that from Milo 🙂

        • mothy2017 says:

I think former liberal is sufficient. I also think its more effective for “walking away”. You don’t have to embrace the right to see that the left has lost their minds.

        • mothy2017 says:

I mean this constructively. If he’s the real deal I wish him all the best. I hope he’s monetizing it. The word conservative also puts off many libs. Libs that can’t stomach obama’s party, but aren’t ready for the moral majority.

          • DeniseVB says:

Conservative is the opposite of the Batsh*t Crazy LibLooney wing, it’s also what the founding fathers tried to direct us to. I won’t nitpick 😉

      • DeniseVB says:

Oh for FFS, that part of liberty harbor has been in lockdown every 4th of July since 9-11. The only reason why I think it’s an insider stunt, is because I took Special Greg to the lower east side for the Macy’s 4th celebration a few years ago. We ended up at an east river dump with his sister and friends (like she couldn’t arrange a a fun roof top party for us, but nevermind…..). This party took place on dumped mattresses, so we were comfortable. Got there about 6 hours before the “show” (always a good idea to arrive early at a dump, it did fill up by showtime, we had front row seats). I knew we’d get hungry, so gave my dh and her friends a $50 to go forage at the local bodegas and bring back food. We dined well that night, on champagne, twinkies and meat sticks. Yummo.
