    just read this and laughed
a group of women get together once a month, to take up the plight of the mosquito. They drink bloody marys in sympathy, a pretty good excuse

I feel quite safe around all Trump supporters that I know…and in general, as they don’t seem to be the ones attacking people in restaurants.

the backtrack bunch, starting in 2008. His campaign was to drive out all the moderate democrats. they did a pretty good job of it

Once the other women, who were here before me, departed the waiting room I turned the tv off. The guys waiting for cars came back in from the showroom and have settled into comply chairs with fresh bottles of water from the cooler. No more annoying talk show hosts or pink hat fiction tales being spun In very loud and High pitched voices. Peace at last — at least for a little while. One other woman has now entered. Noticed the remote and asked if we could hide it somewhere so we can prolong the peace.

    Are those your mom’s pups?
    Too cute!

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

If Mom had dogs they would be my dogs and my cats wouldn’t go for that. I already have Taggart, so why would I need another puppy?

  8. Anthony says:

My dearest friend used to do that to her 2 mini poodles when she fed them. They would bring the scrunchies to her when they were hungry lol

      “scrunchies ”

I learn all kinds of new words here…. tried out “Kitten Heels” last night….Al was in her closet and I complemented her on the organization of her shoes…Me: “Where are the Stilettos?” AL: “Back there” (she is not safe with stilettos).. Me: “How about the Kitten Heels?” Al: “The Kittens are over there” A whole new world has opened up!!

It’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend in NC, with highs in the 70’s! Garden, here I come!

    • blowme0bama says:

Nice. It’s been miserable here for 3 weeks with the lowest high being about 89. Typically low 90s with humidity 70+ %

    • lateblum says:

It’s been so hot and humid here that all I want to do today is sit outside and take in the wonderful weather! ❤

    • elliesmom says:

I have the grandies this week. It’s been hot all week, but we’ve spent it swimming in the lake so we didn’t really mind. This is the first rainy day. Thunderstorms off and on all day. They’re currently playing superheroes, and I’ve been crowned Queen of the Thunder because of my ability to predict a big boom. Maybe I should teach them about the connection between lightning and thunder, but’s it’s been too much fun convincing them I have a superpower.

  10. BjornTheBorg says:

Well, there’s a “Carnival of Resistance” scheduled to coincide with Trump’s visit. Luckily, I’m working in the City and the rally will be held well to the west of the office. The strangest part of the visit is that Trump will be staying at Winfield House (US Ambassador’s residence), which is literally right next to the London Central Mosque — the largest mosque in the UK. Friday prayers there are likely to be really interesting. I’m hoping the transit strike goes on: I can walk to work easily enough, and a strike would totally screw up the plans for a big anti-Trump rally.

  11. cynic says:

After having a lousy, wet, cold April, and most of May, we jumped right in to the hot humid stuff. Today, I am jumping for joy, as we finally got a beautiful day! Tomorrow is suppose to be nice as well, which is a God-send. My son, and family, are moving tomorrow. Sad for the move, but it’s not that far away (2 hrs.).

    • lateblum says:

I can believe it! his weather has been so horrid that sleeping is nearly impossible. Walking has been assigned to before 7AM if I want to be able to breathe without drowning in my own sweat. Sorry to hear about your son’s move. DD#1 may be moving to Seattle in a week or so and I am heart broken. But it will be great for her.

      • cynic says:

I’ve been thinking about you and your window a/c unit, and wondering how you were coping with that miserable hot/humid weather. I finally opened some windows today, and it’s glorious to hear all the birds singing.

Yea, we’ll miss the kids, and Millie & Lily have been having a wonderful time together. For only two, they sure do giggle a lot, and I’m sure they will be missing each other. Millie’s mom starts her new job on Mon., but my son doesn’t start classes til mid August, so he’ll be the one unpacking.

Is your daughter getting a new job? We’ll have to get together again and catch up!

        • lateblum says:

Thank goodness for the window unit(s). the one in the kitchen (where I don’t have a bed) works pretty well. The one in the bedroom “works” when it wants to. So I’m in the back part of the apartment where the kitchen is more than anywhere else. I’ve been thinking about your beautiful garden and wondering when/if you work back there.
I’m sad for Millie and Lily losing one another so soon. But at least they are socialized to have other little ones around and when they go to pre-school they’ll have the ability to make new friends more easily.
We HOPE dd#1 is getting a new job. the background check is taking an inordinately long time. No one can say what the hold up is. I hope my non-support for Prog/Lib/Dems isn’t getting in her way. That would be so unfair. Especially since she is nothing if not a Prog/Lib/Dem. hmmmm
I’d love to get together sometime soon when the weather is more predictably tolerable.

Does anyone remember the Bernie supporters’ signs at the 2016 DNC convention “Love Trump’s Hat (with the maga hat where the “e” should be)” ? I swear that’s where I saw it.

  14. DeniseVB says:

Facebookers…….there’s a closed group called Pro Great Britain you need to check out since I can’t share it. I originally followed them to keep up with the #FreeTommy movement. They’re now plotting a drone attack on the Trump Balloon. LOL ! This is the group that loves The Donald too !

  15. Dora says:

    • DeniseVB says:

This is EXACTLY what the Dems did to Sarah Palin AFTER the 2008 election. Slammed her with nuisance lawsuits that tried to bankrupt her family when she returned to her Governor seat. And it’s EXACTLY why I hate the GOPe too, they didn’t lift a finger to help her. Yeah, I walked away from them too. A few years later, GOPe didn’t defend the Tea Party either when Obama’s IRS targeted us in 2012.

      • lateblum says:

        Yes. Yes. and YES !

      • Somebody says:

Preach it Denise. I hate, hate, hate what happened to Sarah Palin and the Tea Party. Bastards one and all, uniparty indeed.

        • swanspirit says:

I still have my hand signed Thank You card from Sarah Palin, for the whole $5.00 I sent her, to fight those frivolous lawsuits. I treasure it.
But POTUS, is no Palin. He came equipped with an army of lawyers, and a long history of fighting back.

  16. Dora says:

The excitement builds. I can hardly wait. 🙂

    • DeniseVB says:

Great Friday News Dump, the Final Three are already being smash mouthed on the news, including the #FakeNews talking point about the Biden Law should apply here. Oh wait, only in Presidential election years morons. Sigh.

  17. jenlyn says:

My bets it is the girl. She is, btw, extremely well qualified and a tough cookie. I can’t wait for the pussyhatted simpletons to justify their alleged feminism whilst attacking a woman nominated to be a Supreme Court Justice. Pop the corn and get ready to keep winning. MAGA to infinity and beyond!

Meanwhile, moms across America are WTF WERE THOSE KIDS OUT AT 2 A.M. ? It’s probably why my city has an 11pm curfew for under 18. My dd was brought home by our city’s finest a few times. Sigh. A tough law for an h.s. grad who wouldn’t turn 18 til after she started college. But dem the rulez.
