Meanwhile, I stopped watching television a couple weeks ago. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.
On the 4th I asked my cousin if I could borrow his compressor to fix a flat. He came over on a holiday and fixed it for me, and left the compressor just in case. Good thing he did, because today I got to fix the same flat all by myself (in the afternoon when it was hotter than fuck).
My cousin is a great guy bless his heart but he sucks at mechanical repair. He’s way more redneck than me but at least he doesn’t live in a trailer. He seems to think that because I went to college I can’t do normal manly stuff. Which is okay with me if it means I don’t have to wrestle a flat tire, but I was doing my own car repairs for years before I ever went to college.
If you want a job done right, hire a professional.

Hot enough? I can’t complain, it’s July in Florida. It hasn’t been as hot as it could be, so there’s that. We’ve been ranging 87 to 92 for daily highs, humid of course, but we’ve had a bizarrely strong sea breeze every afternoon which has been quite pleasant. Today our high is 88, no 90’s until mid-week. Amazing what a difference a few degrees can make.
I agree with you the MAGA hat stealer has anger issues. I’m sure he thinks the kid deserved it and Trump supporters in general deserve worse. I don’t think prison will do anything but harden him.
I am still flabbergasted by actions like the drink throwing and hat stealing. The people beaten for expressing their 1st amendment right and attending a rally. The bullying of various members of the administration in public, on and on. Then they turn around and accuse Trump and his supporters of being fascists.
The last several days on Long Island have been brutally hot, but it’s much cooler this morning. It actually feels a bit chilly in comparison. I had to turn off the fans.

I just read that the “protester” is still in the pokey. She has a history of law-breaking (and filing nuisance personal injury and civil rights suits) but it wasn’t federal stuff nor in the Age of Trump. I figured since it was in NY jurisdiction, state and fed, that she would get away with all of it as she has in the past. I think her defense will involve at least partially that she is somewhat learning disabled. She parrots whatever she hears regardless of whether it makes sense which is a typical Democrat tactic.
