We’re All Gonna Die! (again)

We all died from the repeal of Net Neutrality. We also died from tax reform. And, of course, Neil Gorsuch killed us too. I have lost track of how many different ways that we have died since Trump took office. Global Warming will kill us one day. I thought yesterday might be that day, but here we are.

I got some yard work to do.

About Myiq2xu

I was born and raised in a different country - America. I don't know what this place is.

Against the advice of the US Embassy in London, I’m sitting in a pub watching the England-Croatia match, which will now go in to extra time. The embassy has warned all Americans to lay low and exercise “situational awareness” during the Trump visit, with the suggestion that demonstrations may become violent and target US citizens. There’s plenty of anti-Trump sentiment on display here and only a fool would openly admit to having voted for Trump, but there’s a *lot* more interest in the World Cup than in the Trump visit. If England loses this match (and they very well may), the crowds in London will be particularly surly and ready for violence. For the sake of peace and love, send your positive thoughts to the English squad as we prepare for extra time!

It’s over. England lost and people are really unhappy. London’s welcome for Trump could be one very nasty affair. Tune in tomorrow.

The panic that takes place every few years in the world over the end of the world is the result of boredom & ennui in successful countries.

When you’re suffering & struggling, events a year out, or even a month out, take a backseat to what’s going on this week.

I really wish they would stop referring to abortion [surgical] as a basic health care need. Especially when the fight tooth and nail at having even the most rudimentary health inspections/standards imposed on abortion clinics. Most could not qualify to given manicures.

In his Appointment Hearing for the DC Circuit, Kavanaugh testified that Roe v. Wade was the law – that states can limit it, but its the law.

I do believe RvW just decriminalized it, I don’t think it was meant to be a fundraising arm for the Democratic Holocaust Part 2. Safe, Legal and Rare Hillary was wanting it to go up to the 9th month…..BECAUSE WOMEN HAVE A CHOICE DAMMIT WHY AREN’T MY POLLING NUMBERS HIGHER YOU MIGHT ASK, OK, UP TO 2 YEARS OLD, LET WOMEN CHOOSE WHOEVER THEY WANT TO KILL. Where would it stop…teenagers, husbands ? 😛 I guess movies like Love with the Proper Stranger and Dirty Dancing showed what butchers lurked in the back alleys, but I don’t think PP has improved on that much.

How Perkins Coie Plan to Get Congressman Jim Jordan

Smear artists never wrestle with their conscience.

Have you been keeping up with the charges against Congressman Jim Jordan? They first wafted from the swamp around July 3 when NBC News quoted three former wrestlers as saying the congressman had to know about “inappropriate” behavior by an Ohio State University team physician towards some Ohio State wrestlers.

“WASHINGTON — Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times on Wednesday.”

After Jan. 1, PDJT needs to clean house at FBI and DOJ. Sessions is a disaster; how the fuck can the Atty. Gen. allow the deputy AG to attempt to sabotage the Presidents SCOTUS nominee???

Good grief!! Reminded me of when I was working on an adolescent psychiatric unit. The staff used to say, “If someone didn’t yell ‘ fuck you’ at you at least several times a day, you weren’t doing your job. My personal favorite was “Fuck you, bitch! ”
Considering what those officers in that video ordinarily have to deal with, those kids were lightweights.

Trump admin kicking unions out of free govt. office spaces: Pay rent or get out.

While organized labor had a friend in former President Barack Obama, who stacked the National Labor Relations Board with career union labor lawyers, unions are now having a harder go at it under the Trump administration.

In fact, unions accustomed to be provided free government office space to conduct their business are finding themselves with an option of either paying rent or being kicked to the curb.

question should American citizens start asking for political asylum? That way we would not be held responsible for any crime we commit. The government would house and feed us. We would not have to work. Our medical bills would get paid.
beginning to sound real good to me.
All my life I have been very proud to be an American citizen. I felt very lucky. Now American citizens are getting less and less respect from our government and supposed to pay for illegals who committed a crime when crossing to border to come here.

More TDS “humor” ….. I saw this last night on a thread where about half the people sent this video to the LAPD. Turns out, he had a water bottle, but blurred that part so you’d think he had his thing out and actually peeing. He should still go to jail just for being stupid and not funny ….

The authorities have sealed off the US ambassador’s residence (where PDJT will stay tonight). Protestors plan a noisy all-night protest. There is apparently concern that a mob will storm the building and burn it to the ground. I can’t wait to get the hell out of here and return to the US.

While the scientific community can function quite nicely if only 10% of the population or so believes in evolution, we need 51% of the people, bare minimum, to understand how our government works. Yet people get their panties in a wad over the battle over teaching evolution and seem pleased we no longer teach ideology-free civics. I’m getting really tired of teaching civics on Facebook, but as a former public educator, I’m too ashamed to let the misinformation stand. I even have my own “cut and paste” ready. “We are not a democracy. We are a constitutional repbublic. ‘I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands’ “.

That being said, Andrew Cuimo did not go to public school so I bear absolutely no responsibility for his idiocy.

Recycling is not only a financial scam, it’s an environmental one, too. There are some things we shouldn’t be doing, and there are simple “fixes” for most of them, but a lot of things we do in the name of saving the environment are at best neutral, and some actually do harm than good.
