Karma is a bitch

Screen Shot 2018-07-16 at 4.44.11 PM

UPDATE: The original tweet was deleted so I replaced it with a graphic. The story this post refers to is that earlier today the NY Daily News laid off half of its newsroom.

I know there are some nice, decent, dedicated journalists who believe that the death of the Dead Tree Media is a tragedy. They’re wrong. While it is true that changes in technology have created challenges for the dying industry, their true problem is self-inflicted. Credibility is like virginity – when it is gone it is gone for good.

You might think that a commie ultra far-left tabloid run anti-Trump moonbats in NYC would be able to make ends meet without firing their editorial staff. You might think that, but you would be wrong.

When I put out a shitty product I use toilet paper instead of newsprint.

Schadenfreude, baby.

The news industry decided to save money by firing all the old school journalists like Don Surber and replacing them with young people fresh from Leftist indoctrination at alleged “journalism” schools staffed by people who had never actually worked as journalists. These young Leftist know-nothings had internet skills but did not understand the difference between journalism and political advocacy.

    Boo-fucking-hoo.

Why do they hey have security clearances??? THEY DON’T WORK THERE ANYMORE!!!

      • blowme0bama says:

I know, right? Prolly some internal reg they created so these assholes could get “consulting” jobs after they retire.

        • Lulu says:

That is exactly correct. It’s called cashin’ in. They can still get one after but they would have to pay for it and it isn’t cheap.

      • helenk3 says:

I do not understand that either. Yes you do have to turn in your equipment and access to the building

      • DeniseVB says:

Is this something new, a security clearance for life? I had a job that required a Top Secret just to get in the building. When I left that job, I had to be debriefed and my clearance ended that day. They also changed the codes for access, which was routine when anyone left.

Hey kids, since I don’t do live streaming subscriptions, here’s another alternative you might be interested in….I get TCM free with Top Tier Verizon, so I don’t need this. I think I read there is a bit of a “break” if you pay the premium for a full year at a time. As soon as my cable agreement ends, I’m switching to FilmStruck and Amazon Prime.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

And Jennie Poo might loose one of her alternate income streams carrying the water for the leakers.

Quite a few of the people I interact with have been retiring from various state agencies over the past couple years as they reach 65 -70 and call it quits (not all states are like say Maryland or California or the feds where you can retire at 55 and make more than as a working stiff). The day they are off the payroll they are locked out of email accounts and loose all access to everything from buildings to databases. Why are people with, of all things, security clearances, still given privileges long after they have left

        • lateblum says:

Absolutely right. The day after I formally stopped working for the state university hospital, I was locked out of both my email and voicemail despite being advised I’d have access for the remainder of that week.

    • Lulu says:

She seems kind of nuts. And extremely ignorant. There should be a very severe clampdown on ALL clearances in and out of government. Bronco politicized it but it was already monetized. It should be neither.

      • Lulu says:

I had a clearance when I worked for the feds because I could access all kinds of databases. No military stuff. It never occurred to me to keep it (much less use it) after I left fed service.

        • Somebody says:

Your clearance remained good until it expired even though you had no access. How long it remained depended on what level, the higher the clearance the more often it is renewed. After 9-11, all clearances have to be renewed every 5 years, some 3 years.

So you had an active clearance but without access it was worthless. The day you left they took your badge, cancelled all email, passwords, access, blah, blah. However, if your former employer needed to call you or have you come in to discuss something or explain or clear something up, you still had the clearance to do so.

For instance there were some glitches in a sub-system after hubby retired, one of his former managers called him and he walked him through it. The following week he got a call about a contract job, LOL. They immediately gave him access to everything again so he could fix and maintain stuff even though that wasn’t what he was hired to do, those became “other duties as assigned”.

The problem isn’t the clearance it is the access. Who is giving Brennan and Clapper access? How are they accessing information? Cancel any remote access they have. Find out if they are getting access via contractors and if so fix it. If they are someone, somewhere approved it or the contractor is in deep shit. My husband didn’t just start doing stuff the government granted him that access again.

Fix the access, solve the problem. There could be crimes involved depending on where and how they are gaining access. Unless Obama did something hinkey.

The problem isn’t the clearance it is the access. Who is giving Brennan and Clapper access? How are they accessing information?

I saw a few threads on Twitter today about Brennan started deleting his tweet history last night around 10 PM to where most of it was gone by this morning. (They say the Anons have tons of his tweets archived for posterity.) Did he get tipped off yesterday or last night about the coming announcement at the presser today?

Did his clearance actually get yanked yesterday perhaps? Brennan and Venal ValJar are tied for top Traitors in my book. That evil bastard has been on my radar since 2007. Comey is freshly freaking too. Haven’t seen anything mentioned out of Yates, or Rice, or the others. Yet.

Trump and his inner circle – that includes not a SINGLE political pundit or TV talking head or radio show guy or blogger or former WH official – set the timetable for rolling out this stuff they’ve known about since even before Trump took office. Rand Paul went to the WH publicly today to suddenly URGE President Trump to yank the security clearances of Clapper, Brennan & other coup plotters.

Why did this only happen TODAY? 🤔

Didn’t Trump & his team know Clapper, Brennan, et al have been leaking for over a YEAR?

  19. Cisco says:

    Everyone have a nice weekend?
Maybe sit in a local park and enjoy the evening?
    The community in Chicago did.
That’s about half of the expended casings recovered in 012 at the scene of seven people shot in the park. Not mentioned in the media for some reason is the vehicle used was hijacked from a white lady who had to beg two armed subjects (no descriptions available) to allow her to retrieve her child from the rear car seat.

Fun Fact #1! Six of the seven shot have SSL (strategic subject list) scores in excess of 300. Anything over 250 means your odds of getting shot are better than 2-to-1.

Fun Fact #2! Did you know that there wasn’t even a single call from the “community” for a loud party in the park for a crowd in excess of 100 people? It’s true! Not one citizen cared enough to call until the bullets started flying and the bodies started falling. What does that tell you about things?
tip o’ the hat to SCC

    • lateblum says:

There are RARELY descriptions of armed (and dangerous) hijackers or shooters or suspects wanted for criminal behavior. And I don’t believe for one hot minute that the suspects are not known to people who’ve been the targets or simply witnesses. Until the mayor stops hiding behind Jesse Jackson and Fr. Pfleger, and offering “basic living” money to the disadvantaged, nothing will change. I have stopped going into the city for anything that begins or ends after dusk.
This morning I heard BLM will stage another protest that will shut down North Lake Shore Drive traffic on Thursday at 4:00pm. The Cubs game is schedule for that evening. THIS will really piss people off! I see this as a way for the shootings and violence to move into the “white” neighborhoods. It’s nothing but politics and a way for the Dem, led by Rahmbo, to further divide the city and create a bigger chasm. He may also see this as a way to keep the protestors out of his Ravenswood neighborhood. Last weekend when the “folks” surrounded his home and chanted and demanded change, he wasn’t home and the south side mob had to leave frustrated and unsuccessful.

North Korea Begins Dismantling Key Facilities at the Sohae Satellite Launching Station

In an important first step towards fulfilling a commitment made by Kim Jong Un at the June 12 Singapore Summit, new commercial satellite imagery of the Sohae Satellite Launching Station (North Korea’s main satellite launch facility since 2012) indicates that the North has begun dismantling key facilities. Most notably, these include the rail-mounted processing building—where space launch vehicles are prepared before moving them to the launch pad—and the nearby rocket engine test stand used to develop liquid-fuel engines for ballistic missiles and space launch vehicles. Since these facilities are believed to have played an important role in the development of technologies for the North’s intercontinental ballistic missile program, these efforts represent a significant confidence building measure on the part of North Korea.

It will just make you wish you were dead.

I’m just getting old. When I was younger I drove/rode in cars that had 2/60 air conditioning. You opened 2 windows and drove 60 mph. Try that in the middle of summer wearing a bugman uniform.

I know… the aging process is almost deadly. Do they turn down the A/C in libraries or grocery stores? If I lived in your area, I’d probably already have died from the heat. At least here, I can go to the basement for some relief.

I hose down the patio to help keep things cool. Not only does it cool the patio and the house, but it also helps the air conditioner unit work more efficiently because the cooler, moister air conducts heat away from the hot coils of the A/C unit more efficiently.
