Hope this video works, never know when FB lets me share (fookers). First we honor Elvis’ death anniversary, then mourn Aretha’s passing, and now my favorite pianist celebrates Madonna’s 60th birthday? Ok, I still love him, such a wild man…..swooon.

I didn’t know it was #NationalTellAJokeDay ? What in the 50’s era Catskills?

    Meanwhile, we are here……

Here some of the women’s shelters are off the grid. No direct donations. These woman are hiding for their lives. Run by nuns.

      • DeniseVB says:

Locally, we have the Samaritan House, is that national? I’ve been filling bags and dragging out furniture for years for their truck pick up dates.

        • mothy2017 says:

Not familiar. I found out about the underground shelters when I had a ton of infant stuff to get rid of. I asked a nun and she told me I could drop it off but couldn’t get a reciept as they are that off the grid.

Homeless shelters for women have very public presences around here, but shelters for women and children who are battered and abused are deeply hidden. Their only mailing addresses are PO boxes. If you want to make a donation, send money.

I know some of the nuns and da brat has far too much. Several times a year I take her clothes and things to them. I used to do Salvation Army, but most of this stuff is expensive barely worn tween stuff. (A Victoria’s Secret Pink brand hoodie costs about 90 -. Kid wears the same hoodie everyday. Stranger Things from etsy 45 dollars) Women show up with garbage bags or just whats on their back. I applaud S.A., but they resell. They do a wonderful job of helping the addicted homeless , but emphasis is on the men. This goes directly to a kid. I usually stop at the dollar store and pick up razors, deodorant, etc. 20 bucks.
Shockingly none of the “penguins” has an issue with my homosexuality.( I went to Catholic school taught by nuns)

    • Underwhelmed says:

It’s the logical conclusion. They can’t even see that in the victimhood bingo game women will always come last. Expecting women to champion the rights of confused men, and place their needs above their own? I could be mistaken, but I thought that was the patriarchy.

      • elliesmom says:

Women on the left play the “intersectionality” game. When a driver comes to an intersection, the car on the right has the right of way. No matter how many roads converge, they always put being a woman in the left most road. Women on the right just blast through the intersection. It’s why the first woman to be POTUS will be from the right. We haven’t moved through all of the rest of the victim classes on the road to the oval so left-leaning women are still waiting their turn. They’ll nominate women, but not one who can actually inspire people to vote for her. It wouldn’t be “fair”.

These dems are all so filled with anger and hatred. They must be terribly unhappy in their own lives.

CNN commentator Angela Rye said on Wednesday night that she agrees with Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s assertion that America was “never that great.”

    • Lulu says:

What makes people the angriest? Status and money. Specifically losing it. Or not getting what they THINK they deserve or have coming. Trump turned an entire for want of better words SOCIAL CLASS on their tiny heads. It is the unearned (which they will argue about), blindly led, faux virtuous, precious, class obsessed, very lazy, entitled scammers of the Hillary/Bronco ilk. They deserve their sinecures and doofus jobs by God and to tell themselves how “good” they are. They are “disappointed”. So? Many may come from “not quite made it” families who life hasn’t been that economically great but they didn’t leave did they? So it beat the hell out of Italy (for the Cuomo’s) or Mexico or whatever shitbox they came from a hundred years ago. This is their culture. To be always disappointed and bitching about something. And at this point in our history no one cares. Get cracking jackass and shut up. And ask yourself why a descendent of peasants from Germany and Scottish Isles does better than a peasants from Italy. Uhm? Could it be you Gov? You didn’t get what you deserve? Your father would slap you in the head.

when the video becomes available , you have see and hear Stuart Varny on FOX and friends this am. He just gave a heartfelt talk on why America is great. He came here 40 years ago and is very glad he did

      • DeniseVB says:

I remember when he got his citizenship, very emotional explaining his love for our country that too many of us take for granted. ❤

ok I will not eat anymore Mexican food because I am not Mexican. But do NOT try to make me stop eating Italian food because I am Irish. I will get real cranky

    • elliesmom says:

It has been my experience as a member of neither heritage group, while both the Irish and the Italians are proud of where their families began, they are at least as proud of where they ended up. When I pig out on a pan of lasagna or chow down on some corned beef and cabbage, they’re proud to share their culinary treats with me. At the core of it all is pride in being part of the mosiac that makes up the US. For some reason Mexicans don’t share that pride- at least not yet. One of my friends is a recent immigrant from Southeast Asia. She says it’s the trip across an ocean that does it. If you can just “walk home”, there’s not as much of a comitment to becoming part of a new country. Maybe she’s on to something. Maybe not.

        good point

      • helenk3 says:

in today’s world they would be having fits over my mother in law. she would send my kids to the store to get some dago bread and a jew pickle. in her mind it was not meant as a slur against either nationality but as a way to tell them which kind she wanted. If the left had their way all I could eat would be potatoes and ham and cabbage and soda bread. Pretty limited diet.
