        TV and radio for me.😡
A year ago or so McCain was a white supremacist, now he’s the media’s darling.
        And while I’m here.
Abbas call’s David Friedman, US Ambassador to Israel, a “son of a dog” during a televised speech.
Abbas seems upset that the Trump administration has cut the $200 million in US “aid”
        given yearly to the Palestinians.
You know, money they give to 🖕marytys 🖕, the cowards that kill Jewish women, men and children.
Here Abbas, have a big bucket to eat, and it ain’t KFC.

Well, at least Abbas didn’t call David Friedman a Jew, that would be the ultimate muslim insult!!

    • DandyTIger says:

You mean what he and everyone called faux (fake) news for years? Doesn’t that mean they’re the ones that have chanted fake news for more than a decade? So the right follow up with the same chant just for the last year and a half is the reason? Wow, so the right is that much more powerful and effective than the left. Good to know.

  8. Constance says:

It sure seems like McCain’s death was great timing for Trump. Between McCain and the Mexico trade deal the subject is completely changed from last weeks smirking Democrat talking points of Cohen/Manaforte/ Impeachment blabber. Trumps “worst week ever” HA!

NAVY RELEASES McCAIN’s RECORDS – McCain was personally responsible for the deadliest fire in the history of the US Navy

Donald Trump Was ‘Spot On’ Relating To John McCain’s Military Career & Records

    https://www.universaleinfo.com/2018/08/27/navy-releases-mccains-records-mccain-was-personally-responsible-for-the-deadliest-fire-in-the-history-of-the-us-navy-2/

    • SHV says:

Over the years, I have superficially researched the Forrestal fire..(who’s narrative to believe???), however I read that universalinfo and, IMO, just more bullshit. The curious thing about the McCain Forrestal “stories” is the “27” killed number that appears over and over in the McCain hit piece stories. The actual number killed was over 134. In addition, the “McCain started the whole mess by doing a “wet start” is suspect since his A-4 Skyhawk was on the other side of the flight deck with his jet engine exhaust pointed toward the ocean. Best I can tell, McCain was a family entitled, irresponsible POS but the Forestall wasn’t his problem….that opinion will change if I read something more reliable but John McCain isn’t worth the effort.

      • Cisco says:

The following from the story has me a wee bit confused.
        1) Theskipper, Capt. John K. Beling, were warned about the danger of using M-65 1000-lb. bombs manufactured in 1935, which were deemed too dangerous to use during World War II and, later, on B-52 bombers. The fire from the Zuni missile misfire resulted in the heavy 1000 pound bombs being knocked loose from the pylons of McCain’s A-4 aircraft, which were only designed to hold 500-pound bombs.”
Bombs manufactured in 1935! Again, 1935, I know, waste not want not.
        2) Cain prior to the disaster.” WMR also cited the potential that McCain’s Navy records were used against him by the neo-cons in control of the Pentagon. “…could prove embarrassing to McCain, who was on board the USS Forrestal on July 29, 1967, *and whose A-4 Skyhawk was struck by an air-to-ground Zuni missile that had misfired from an F-4 Phantom.”*
So it was an accident, *but it seems* the misfire was McCain’s fault because.
        3) It is believed by many crewmen and those who have investigated the case that McCain deliberately “wet-started” his A-4E to shake up the guy in the plane behind his A-4. “Wet-starts”, done either deliberately or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft.
        *”deliberately” or “accidentally”.*Hmmmmm🤔
And finally… In McCain’s case, the “wet-start” * apparently*“cooked off” and launched the Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that touched off the explosions and massive fire. The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration. “Wet starting” was apparently a common practice among young “hot-dog” pilots.
        “Apparently” Again 🤔
Apologies for basically posting the entire article, but these are the points that still make it seem it was a accident.
        I used *s to highlight.

      • SHV says:

FWIW…Forrestal flight deck diagram….#110 is the F4 Phantom that had the electrical failure that sent the missile across the deck and #416 is McCain’s A-4E

        • Cisco says:

That’s one damn crowded flight deck.

          • SHV says:

It was a disaster waiting to happen…The aircraft were fully fueled and the unsafe 1000# bombs that had been delivered the previous day were stored on the flight deck rather than in the magazine. When the Zuni rocket from #110 flew across the flight deck and hit an A-4E fuel tank, the explosion/fire released 40,000 gal of burning jet fuel and then the old unstable 1000# bombs and other ordinance began “cooking off”….an utter fucking nightmare!!

          • Cisco says:

I’m quite confident that there were many safety violations that led to this tragedy.

    • elliesmom says:

Speaking of yummy, “Sweetheart” ordered “Honeybun” a pizza last night, but after sampling the suggestions, I liked the strawberry preserve peanut butter cookie sandwiches best although the nutella ones were a close second. I think the strawberry beat out the grape because the preserves were homemade, and the grape jelly was store brand. Since he “made dinner” last night, I guess I’m going to have to think about something for tonight. The chocolate cake with raspberry filling sounds good. Add a dollop of whipped cream, maybe sprinkle some toasted almonds on it, and I’d have all of the food groups.

Is it Monday? Sheet, the past few days have been a blurrr, should have opened the TCH open bar early before leaving for the hospital at zero dark thirty, anyhoo…….it’s all good…….

Dh had a heart cath this morning after days of doctors chasing a “blip” on a routine physical ekg last Wednesday, then throwing every vascular and heart test at him with two days in the hosp. Sent him home for the weekend to self inject Lovomox?. They wanted to keep him the weekend to monitor that “little shit clot”, but he decided to break out of the “Hanoi Hilton” as he calls it, docs didn’t argue as long as was back there at 7am today for the cath thingie.

One stent and two balloons later, he’s doing great, no need for bypasses, overpasses or whatever the worse case scenarios they provided us which would require a transfer to a regional HEART hospital. We dodged a bullet, and I got home at 3pm, yeah, it’s 5’O’Clock somewhere. I don’t have to pick him up til noon tomorrow, party on! 😀

          • taw46 says:

It will never be enough for the Trump haters. Now they’ll bitch that he waited too long, and that he only did it under pressure.

          • taw46 says:

And also, I am tired of hearing that McCain is an honorable man, loves the US, and wants us all one as Americans. He is the one that left orders (and made it public) that the President of the United States would not be allowed to attend his funeral.

          • lyn says:

I agree. Who tells the president of the United States not to go to his funeral?! A bitter and petty man does.

          • lateblum says:

McCain was a bitter and small man. He said/did whatever it took to get what he wanted regardless of the damage his words and actions left in their wake. He was a snake oil salesman. A real politician – in the worst possible sense of the word. How anyone pups refer to him as a statesman is beyond me.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

The swamp creatures have been at it all weekend and now through the day. PT cannot please them because the minute he does/says they will say it should be polka dots. There are certain protocols and McCain was not a past president and should not be treated as such. it is a no win situation. I think they do not understand that the average person probably relates far more the Neil Simon than Johnny.

I just watched The Queen over the weekend and I was not impressed there either. I admit I did not realize it was just about those few days in August 1997 and that is was basically just a imagined recreation from the heads of idiots. A few boring scenes thrown together with mostly film from TV news and gossip shows. Yet there was such a wave of praise when it was released over what a great and powerful movie. Well no. Not to mention that they cast an actor that was not only better looking than Prince Charlie but one that actually resembles GW Bush.

However, I do recall all the fuss over the flag at the palace. And the royals may not have realized how things would play out – or how the MSM would push things – but the Queen was 200% correct about several points. And one was the blipping crying over a flag not being flown at half mast over the palace. Even I know the protocol is that the flag is flown at Buckingham only when the reigning monarch is in residence and it is the royal standard not the union jack. But the press made a huge fuss even though they knew that was the case. All to divert attention from themselves having been lowlifes.

        • Anthony says:

You’re right – I remember thinking re press/paparazzi bait & switch. Kill a princess, blame a flag. Bitches. The lot of them.

    • Cisco says:

The last time I listened to McCain was when he said “nay” on the vote to repeal O-care.
Didn’t care about anything he said from that point on and most certainly not interested in his last words.

    • Constance says:

McCain was off his rocker in the last months. I doubt he wrote that it probably came from his creepy little GOPe, Never Trump aids who took the opportunity to swipe at Trump. What petty little assholes. I’m sure glad they will now be unemployed.

WMCB shared this fascinating article on her FB page.

    https://www.plough.com/en/topics/justice/reconciliation/science-and-the-soul

I’ve had other patients whose brains fell far short of their minds. Maria had only two-thirds of a brain. She needed a couple of operations to drain fluid, but she thrives. She just finished her master’s degree in English literature, and is a published musician. Jesse was born with a head shaped like a football and half-full of water – doctors told his mother to let him die at birth. She disobeyed. He is a normal happy middle-schooler, loves sports, and wears his hair long.

Some people with deficient brains are profoundly handicapped. But not all are. I’ve treated and cared for scores of kids who grow up with brains that are deficient but minds that thrive. How is this possible? Neuroscience, and Thomas Aquinas, point to the answer.

Well, there’s Wheldon Shithouse on the list. He’s “the Climate Change” Senator. Good Democrat. Lots of really old people carrying the casket. Gary Hart and Warren Beatty are in their 80s. One or two Republicans made the list. I see he picked a Russian. A collaborator? Mueller should get right on that. Interesting choices. Seeing Shithouse on the list might get me to the polls to vote in the midterms. I don’t really think the Republican, whoever that turns out to be, has much chance against him, but it might feel like I’m getting a chance to vote against McCain.

    • Dora says:

I didn’t even know that Gary Hart was still alive!

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I assume since many are elderly and that they are just more honor guards – because most caskets only have handles for six pallbearers. Three per side. So twelve would a wee bit crowded unless they are going the funeral barge route.

Generally you ask youngish strong real men – because those darn things are heavy should they actually have to do any real lifting (and it is not just on wheels).

    • DandyTIger says:

So with the the occurrences of 12 are they going for biblical interpretation, numerology, angel myth, the gods of Mt. Olympus or is is just an Oceans 12 themed get together?
