One winter night, when it was about zero outside, Hubby found me at the opened front door breathing in the cool air.

He always reminds me of that.

I’m over those days now, but I can empathize.

At times, it’s Hell being a woman! 🙂

    • Somebody says:

If you’re lucky it will pass quickly. I was fortunate enough that my hot flash phase was over fairly quickly. There are natural things you can take like black cohosh. It just so happened that I was having other issues so I was using a progesterone cream. I ended up using a natural one made from wild yams and it worked great for the issues I was having, as well as keeping the hot flashes away. The prescribed dose was actually too high for me, I ended up using half that. I was under doctor supervision, as with anything you should consult your doctor……but there are lots of natural things out there to help, you can buy premade blends of various herbs specifically for menopause.

    • Underwhelmed says:

Can you get a product called Promensil (double strength) where you are? It really really works.

    • swanspirit says:

I took a supplement with black cohosh in it, and Valerian for the anxiety. Both helped a lot. Research any supplements fully, for allergies, side effects, and contraindications, before you try them.
But it helped me so much, I was so grateful.

I already think The Connors are in trouble, otherwise why would they send out John Goodman now to hint at killing off Roseanne in the spin-off? Millions tuning in to see how they do it? Nope, I don’t care. Political correctness already killed her off 😦

    • mothy2017 says:

I see an okay start and then it will go lower than Will & Grace. I have zero desire or intent to watch.

      • DeniseVB says:

I was a fan of Will and Grace’s first run and looked forward to the reboot until Debra Messing announced her character would be a Hillary supporting SJW feminist. Uhm, nope. I lost all interest since it was bad enough to put up with her sh*t in real life 😀

BTW, we don’t see much of Messing spewing lately? That show must know it’s in trouble too, lol !

        • mothy2017 says:

I read all four came back at their last salary which was probably at or near 1 million an episode. That’s 4 million right there. NBC must own it so they can sell it to themselves on cable. Run it forever. Very few shows make money in first run. NCIS does because it is yuuuuge globally, but The Connors will have to be packaged apart from Roseanne meaning they will need at least 60 shows. I don’t see that happening. One and done would be the usual route, but they might go 2 just to slap Roseanne in the face. Eating a huge chunk of money out of spite. It’s really quite sad that the majority of the media have become the enemy of the populace. I am actually looking forward to Last Man Standings ratings. Pathetic on my part if you think about it.

      • foxyladi14 says:

        Me either!

      PC kills.

    • mothy2017 says:

I bet Last Man Standing goes through the roof. Beyond obvious that they don’t care about ratings. It’s the liberal message that matters to them.

    • Somebody says:

Well if they’re going to be true to Roseanne’s Trump loving character and they have to kill her off, why not interject some reality? Her character could be bludgeoned to death outside a Trump rally by Antifa thugs or just thugs with bags of rocks or bike locks.

Her character could be murdered by an illegal alien…..they could go all SJW and make the murderer sympathetic, poor Dan and Jackie could be so conflicted.

Maybe she gets killed in a mass shooting, but if it’s going to be realistic the gunman has to be a liberal on a cocktail of psych drugs.

Why do they feel they have to knock her character off?? Why can’t they just be the Connors with no mention of Roseanne or maybe just a passing mention of mom died or mom flew the coup. Matters not, the show won’t last. ABC has alienated the majority of the audience. Coastal elites were never fans of the show, it appealed to fly over country.

      • dm says:

ABC has so alienated me, that I refuse to watch ANYTHING on their network again. If I record something, it will be for hubby – not me.

    • mothy2017 says:

If I were loaded I’d pull my money out during impeachment and put it some where safe. Why wouldn’t anyone.

      • elliesmom says:

The problem is if the government is in a state of collapse, there really isn’t anywhere safe except outside the country. If you pull all of your money out of the stock and bond market and put it under your mattress, the tax bite can be horrendous. We were pretty sure if the stock market took a hit right after Trump was elected, it would rebound when things settled down. We didn’t think it would go much below what we’d lose in taxes if we cashed out. We took enough out to cover the things we usually dip into those funds for in the short term and crossed our fingers. We have some real anti-Trumper friends who cashed out because they were convinced Trump’s election would bring on sudden collapse. We’ve made out really well, and they’re still trying to catch up. If Trump is impeached, things will be rocky for awhile, but I don’t think there will be 67 votes in the Senate to convict. Those guys have investments, too. Certainly more than we do.

Couldn’t impeachment bring about that cloward-previn thingy. How many people would leave their money sitting in stocks. Who would want to be taxed to death. Move it. Weren’t there tons of stories of the wealthy doing just that under o . People gave up citizenship. Market collapses, unemployment goes through the roof, safety nets are overwhelmed. Bingo they get to start all over again
    .

    • Jadzia says:

I gave up my citizenship under O, who charged me $2500 for the privilege. I didn’t give it up because I have the moneys for taxes to be a huge problem, but because the BO administration sicced the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network on all expats with a global net worth of more than ten thousand dollars with ruinous fines for even innocent mistakes on the paperwork. Every year I filed those papers I was terrified that if I did something wrong, the IRS and FCEN would wipe out my life savings with the fines. My kids are growing up here so it’s not like we were coming back, but it was one of the worst days of my life nevertheless. I still love America.

      • taw46 says:

So sorry, Jadzia. I remember reading something about that. Just another reason to despise him. What a difficult decision to be faced with, I certainly understand. And you will always be an American to us 💕.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

As with many things, the IRS often targets the little guys first and hardest because they know they have more to lose proportionately and the IRS staff can make their quota of close cases more easily than those who actually are breaking major rules and regs.

        • Jadzia says:

Absolutely! The people who are really hiding $ can afford big law firms and accounting firms to help them do it. Middle class people just get to live in fear.

it is happening here. Will the human prostitutes get unemployment benefits?

    https://www.rt.com/news/436986-sex-doll-brothel-toronto/

    • Constance says:

This is such an interesting concept. It has to appeal to a generation of men raised on porn who not only don’t associate sex with intimacy but actively avoid intimacy. Also it should have an effect on birth rates and the planet is definitely over populated. Now I just wonder how long it will take for there to be a sex doll aimed at women. I mean they will probably make a male version to market to gay men but at some point it has to dawn on the men who think this stuff up that porn addicted men are just not fulfilling the needs of real women who might also prefer an alternative that doesn’t add to the housework and laundry load. Then again fighting and bickering might be the only emotion some people feel so these passive robot things might disappoint.

      • elliesmom says:

The Earth is not over-populated. We currently produce enough food to feed 10 billion people 2700 calories/day, and there are only 7 billion of us. The Earth is over 70% water. Water, even when used by humans, is not destroyed. We can contaminate it, but we don’t destroy it. Famine and dying from lack of water are not problems with over-use of natural resources. They’re a problem with distribution, which is a huge political problem. The population is expanding, but not at exponential rates. Most of the expansion is coming from increasing life expectancy in 3rd world countries. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t husband our resources and plan our families, but over-population isn’t a critical issue. Certainly not critical enough for sex robots to become a household staple. 🙂

        • Venus E. Lee says:

          Elliesmom bringing the facts! ❤

        • Constance says:

I think sex robots will become a staple for some people for several reasons. One is, men who have been raised on pornography don’t associate sex and intimacy and most likely actively seek to avoid intimacy and this provides that opportunity. Another place sex robots can fit into society is some men not physically attractive to most women so this is an outlet for them. Think of the woman hating men who have carried out mass killings of women in the last few years, sure they are extreme but there is a segment of guys who just can’t win with women and get increasingly resentful. Robots probably will affect the birth rate and it is likely good for the gene pool if people who actively avoid intimacy and are socially off don’t reproduce. I don’t think sex robots need to be worked into a policy of population reduction I just think they will contribute to less population. At any rate it is fascinating and the fact that they aren’t making them for women, many of whom I can guarantee you are also not that happy with their potential partner pool, is interesting.

      • DeniseVB says:

Perot got 19% of the vote in 1992, definitely a game changer in GHWB’s loss. I think Clinton only won his first term with 43% of the popular vote. What’s sad, Perot and Bush 41 were besties for decades, that hurt 41 more than the loss. I’m thinking the GOPe may pull that in 2020, or the Dems. A really strong Independent candidate that could suck 20% of the popular vote. But I think PDJT will easily win 60+ %, no biggie.

If one didn’t believe gender dysphoric people have a mental illness, this essay would give one pause. I only know one transgender person. Male-to-female. When the other women in the office would gossip over the lunch, one of the things that came up was Jan’s complete lack of maternal feelings. While not all of the women had motherhood on their immediate agenda, if one does not believe producing a child is an integral part of “feeling like a woman”, what does “feeling like a woman” mean? Is being comfortable wearing a dress and make-up enough to warrant multiple major surgeries? I understand giving birth is something a transgender person who has had surgery will never experience, but to decide giving birth isn’t a natural state for women is ludicrous. One does not have to want become a mother to acknowledge the ability to produce a child is the most defining attribute of being a woman.

It’s night low-flying drills right now at the airbase near my house, which is closing down in a year or so. I am losing my miiiiiind. But grateful for the sacrifices they make–there is a big military presence in this town and even in a country that’s a lot smaller than the USA, the soldiers and their families get moved around all the time. My kids’ school has tons of military kids (it’s right by the army base) and the last day of school is always a sobfest because of the # of friends who leave every single year.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I can empathize. I once lived near Oceana Naval Air Base in Virginia Beach (on Tomcat Boulevard of course) and the pilots would buzz the buildings and I recall the noise even though, technically, neither of my apartments there were within the designated fly zone. Now because it is near or, in some spots, below sea level, the buildings in Virgina Beach tend not to be more than than a few stories high. So those pilots were swooping in very close to the ground. Denise, I am sure has tales of her own.

Hope you kids don’t lose too many friends this year.

      • DeniseVB says:

It’s why we live in the Kempsville area of Va Beach. Never could understand why the Beach neighborhoods under the flight path of Oceana (Northend, Bay Colony,Croatan, etc) were the most expensive? Sound of Freedom? I don’t think so. K’ville is also the only part of VB NOT in a designated flood zone, we save thousands, THOUSANDS a year on home insurance. Our elevation is only about 10 feet 😀 We’re fine with only being 20 minutes from the oceanfront, but lakefront is better, no pesky sand.

      • Jadzia says:

I hope not! At the end of the 2016-2017 school year my youngest daughter lost all three of her best friends. I thought she was doing okay until her November 2017 sixth birthday (i.e., last fall), when I asked her who she wanted to invite to her party and she suddenly started to cry, because all of her friends were gone and she was so lonely. God, I am tearing up all over again thinking about it. I felt so bad for her.
