Tomorrow Is A Grim Anniversary

Even now I cannot bring myself to talk about what we saw that day. I still can’t look at a slab of meat without shuddering.

Or a sack of potatoes 😆

I vividly recall where I was that September day. I was right here, blogging and tweeting like I didn’t have a care in the world.

I will never forget it. Ever. While I was out walking earlier today, I looked at the sky and it reminded me of that Tuesday morning. It was a beautiful morning until that news broke. There are still times when I hear a plane or see one flying overhead that I am reminded of that morning. It’s too damn bad that all those crybabies who shout and scream about racism and “rights” for the illegals don’t carry the meaning of that day within their hearts and minds. With them, it’s all about how they can destroy our nation – the nation who gave them the kind of life that people from all over the world wish they had.

      • 49erDweet says:

I attended a local public ground breaking this morning and just as it started a drone flew around the crowd and hovered a few minutes. I was really uneasy, thinking about all the ways they can be “armed”, until it eventually left.

      • Allegra says:

Here in DC, that day started out with wonderful weather. The sky was a beautiful
blue with fluffy clouds. The air was crisp and sunny. It was a perfect fall day until
the horror began. I will never forget the contrast between the perfection of that early
morning and the events that followed.

Anyone along rivers and inlets north of that eye is going to be wiped TF out. Holy cow that’s bad. Get out.

  6. Mothy67 says:

Wondering if calling Benghazi a conspiracy was a Freudian slip of sorts. It’s not really gotten much attention for awhile. Why bring it up shortly before the anniversary. Makes no sense for him to draw more attention.

I remember that fateful day. My main reaction was, whew, that’s the end of that campaign. Hello President Trump. 🙂

  9. Kathy says:

Big hurricane..trying to get my nephew to leave Charleston. Down to trying to scare the crap out of him..reminding him of a cousin who wouldn’t leave his new house during Hurricane Ivan years ago. When they could finally get on the island off of Pensacola, all that was left of his house was the slab and his body washed up later…..
Sometimes you just have to put the fear in them.

  10. Anthony says:

OT – airways are being saturated with political ads, all New York politicians vowing to “fight Donald Trump”. A lot of people getting pissed about that in my supposed ‘deep blue enclave’ on the Upper West Side. I’m meeting Trump supporters I never knew about 😆

When Hillary met the Bollard of Destiny.

  12. Myiq2xu™ says:

When I watch the video it seems obvious to me that her security detail was not surprised. They had dealt with the same situation before.

    • Constance says:

They clearly had a plan and were carrying it out. It was weird. Generally you would lay a person down who was passing out but they kept her upright so they were concerned with appearances not with her well being. So who were they all? Whoever they were Hillary was their ticket to power.

  13. Cisco says:

When I saw that video, I couldn’t help but think of Dean Wormers advice to Flounder.
“Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go thru life”
    Fat. HRC is beyond pudgy.
    Drunk. Need I say more?
Calling what eventually became 65 million people who voted for Trump “deplorable’s”, “we’re going to put coal miners out of work” and my favorite, ” why aren’t I 50 points ahead”?
    Why Hillary, see the above.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

I’ve seen the old pictures. Hillary was never pretty. I think she “had some work done” before she left Arkansas. I know she had some work done before her last attempt at becoming the first female gendered POTUS.

Mooch had a lot of work done before BO went national.

Barara Bush did not GAF and neither did her husband.

      • Anthony says:

Hillary’s “work” made her look like Paula Jones before Jones had her own “work” done with her $ettlement.

Mooch started out looking like a young Muhammed Ali (when he was still Cassius Clay)

and by the end of 8 years, looked like a middle aged Michael Jackson, which was a big improvement.

Agree with you about the Bush people.

    • Constance says:

Well if you are already irredeemably fat and stupid you might as well go for drunk.

The wonderful throbbing in my right temple has just informed me that the changes that often proceed a hurricane are in starting up. If Florence stays on tract for the coastal US, I can anticipate a lovely long migraine (complete with eye twitch) in the next 48 hours.

Good luck to everyone affected. You just know the press/dems/whoever are going to try and destroy Trump with these storms. Fingers crossed he’s beyond prepared and gets to showcase a brilliant response.

Two years as POTUS and still the MADMAN!!!

  20. Venus E. Lee says:

What I think is important to.#NeverForget about.that day that if it wasn’t for some guy with a smart phone and the internet, the MSM would have buried the entire thing.
First thing in the a.m. rumors were going around the ‘net that Hillary had taken ill & fainted.
Camp Hillary denied that as false, that she left a little early because if “heat” (on a 72 degree day). MSM called talk “conspiracy theories.”
It was only AFTER video that Camp Hillary came up with pneumonia b.s. MSM called talk that the non-contagious pneumonia story was b.s. conspiracy theories.

    • Mothy67 says:

Wonder what happened to the guy who shot it? Arkancide? He helped save us all.

    • DeniseVB says:

Also, her staff complained she didn’t drink enough water and said she was dehydrated to the point of woosiness. That was b.s. too. Alcohol will dehydrate you faster, it doesn’t matter if was 72 and pleasant outside, a hangover is miserable in any weather 😀 If you don’t hydrate, hydrate, hydrate after a boozy night before, you will look and feel like a bag of meat the next day. Uhm, a friend told me that 😉

Oh this is a pure numbers game and Nike is purely losing they saw almost a 4 billion dollar drop since naming him is a spokes idiot. Heads will roll over this I love it just like the NFL and ever other anti-American business in America they should fold up and leave this country.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I imagine online sales for many items were higher for those particular days. Labor Day “deals” were quite plentiful on a wide range of shopping sites plus the back to school specials.

They hardly ever mention this teardrop. I suppose many people don’t even know it’s there. But it was a beautiful gift from the Russians.

    • DeniseVB says:

I remember that, a beautiful monument until people tell you it looks like a lady’s hoo-ha. So it wasn’t well publicized, and because Russia or something.

Still cleaning up the damage from that awful day. It took a while, but I’m sure people will be glad to see this station back in business.

The 1 train will travel through the station once again

I’ve noticed all the gun control advocates always say “do something” but they never have any ideas to support what to do?

    • DandyTIger says:

But, but, but, it’s all because the surrounding states don’t have strict gun control laws. If you just let us fix those states, then it will all work. 🙂

  31. DeniseVB says:

    Sorry, I laughed……

    • swanspirit says:

It’s hilarious!! Are you staying safe??

      • DeniseVB says:

Just anxiety 🙂 We’re not in an evacuation zone, but we’re surrounded by A-D zones. They called for A’s this morning, on tidal water or the Oceanfront. The B-D’s are just flood prone areas because our city’s storm drains back up. We’re at 18 feet above sea level, so we’re good 🙂 How about you? Our evacuation zones end at the Va-Md line on the Eastern shore, so can’t keep an eye on you!

        • swanspirit says:

So far, Ocean City is not being evacuated, they didn’t even cancel Bike Week, just moved it to the Convention Center. That may have been a big mistake. And where I am, is at least six miles inland, but we will surely get Tropical Storm sustained winds, and lots of rain.
Who wants to ride Motorcycles in that?
We need to fasten down anything that might get blown around, and hope we don’t lose power 🔋.

          • Miranda says:

I spent the morning clearing the garage so I can get my car inside. mrmir’s Explorer (known as the Death Star) is too long for the garage. There’s probably a metaphor there.

Emptied all small planters, since the plants were pretty much past it anyway, rinsed them, and moved them to the garage so they don’t turn into projectiles. Vacuumed the house, so we’ll start out neat even if we do lose power.

We’ll move the birdbaths and bigger stuff that could still blow around tomorrow. Start filling the cooler with ice from the icemaker, and fill up some buckets, since we’re on a well.

We have food/water/meds for us and the cats and a couple of battery-powered fans. Cars are gassed and we have some cash. For the rest, it’s ‘count 3 and pray’. Good luck.

  32. Dora says:

  33. DeniseVB says:

I’ll be fine, I live near this crackpot and hoping he expands that shield over our neighborhood too 😛

    • Miranda says:

Any port in a storm 🙂

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I was just wondering if Pat was still among the living. Evidently, from that photo, he is but by a very very thin thread. He used to be more generous and prayed for the entire Tidewater area. He has always loved to boast that he alone was responsible for Gloria turning away from VB at the very last minute.

Now explain to me how millions of Americans can agree with them and the UN and all the other f****** assholes. Do they remember the people phone calls

Poignant. Save for the letting go of anger part. I think that is often used as device to control. I am pissed off about that day and I am pissed off at our betters. Joe S really? No we are supposed to rise above while others get to riot because of feelings. We are entering a scary scary time. Opposing thoughts are being extinguished and it’s just beginning. Soros has said we will be silenced.

Although we occasionally get a hurricane here, it’s mostly blizzards we await in dreaded anticipation. Sometimes I think it’s worse than the storm itself. I hope all of your preparations turn out to be unnecessary, but if not, the porchlight is on here. ❤
