Trump’s Superpower is the Ability to Drive His Enemies Insane

I stole this from Ace’s place:

I respectfully disagree. Trump’s behavior is rarely outlandish, but some of the things he says are different than we what we were used to hearing from political leaders. Nor does his “outlandish” behavior seem normal in comparison. The crazier they get, the saner he gets. You could say that when they go low he goes high.

During the Kavanaugh Inquisition, Trump mostly faded into the background. He saw that the Democrats were completely unhinged so he got out of their way. Trump drives them mad, like a matador waving his red cape in a bull’s face. They get enraged and attack, only to strike empty air as he spins out of the way. Each time they miss they get angrier and they attack over and over and over until they are exhausted and ready for his killing thrust.

Tell me that these people aren’t completely deranged:

I liked it when the howling loonies started pounding on the bronze doors of the Supreme Court like Brett Kavanaugh was totally going to open them up and invite the freaks in to air their many stupid grievances over a hot cup of Too Damn Bad. I also liked it when Lindsey Graham dissed that silly shrieking harpy as he adjusted his tie and smirked. And I liked it when Jesse Kelly channeled Andrew Breitbart by heading down to the protest with a t-shirt that said “Hands Off My Uterus.” I liked a lot of things about last week, and all of them involved liberal jerks being unhappy.

You didn’t mention that nearly all transexuals are Drivers on the DISC personality test. The are aggressive, angry people who push people into their point of view and don’t know how to back down. Given the sheer volume of betas in the Dem Party, leadership would do well to capture this vote and use it to herd more. Which is exactly what they do.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

It’s the same thing they did with Sarah Palin – file a bunch of bogus ethics complaints to bury her in paperwork and to establish a basis to claim she was unethical.

“She has had more ethics complaints filed against her than any governor in history.”

True, but they were all bogus.

      • DeniseVB says:

Then she resigned because of the distractions it was causing to her administration, and they called her a quitter.

        • Myiq2xu™ says:

She was having to pay her own attorney’s fees, the job doesn’t pay very much, and being gov prevented her from making money from speeches. After she resigned she cashed in.

          • swanspirit says:

They knew that going in, part of the plan was to bankrupt her. I sent money to her defense fund, and she sent me a handwritten thank you note, which I treasure. Then they made her refund that money too. I never sent my request for the refund. It was$5.00

          • DeniseVB says:

I think Lisa Murkowski was behind some of that, revenge for Sarah embarrassing Daddy by beating him in the Gov primary.

        • Woke Lola says:

She WAS a quitter. Should have never resigned. Other pols have legal funds set up all the time, and she could have too.

      • 1539days says:

The kicker is that Palin fought for the ethics reforms that allowed this because Murkowski was so corrupt when he was governor.

If it’s a Cat4/Cat5, if you live near water, if you are surrounded by trees— get the hell out.

    • DeniseVB says:

The media keeps showing the damages but fails to mention those pine trees will snap like balsa wood in a 2 or 3. Homes that were flattened probably not up to the Florida CBC code. They will rebuild, up to code and nobody will be replanting pine trees 🙂

      • taw46 says:

Miami-Dade changed their code after Andrew due to shoddy construction which resulted in so many new homes being destroyed. About 10 years later, FL adopted a uniform building code, based largely on Dade’s. Miami-Dade still has the strongest standards and my County follows their code. In addition here in the Keys, all new homes must be up on concrete pilings, sunk 8 ft down (our house sits on 25 concrete pilings).Houses can be either Engineered Wooden frame or CBS (poured concrete is the best, but very expensive). Which ever you choose for your home, concrete or wooden frame house, must meet Dade standards. Ours is wooden – not like normal wooden frames. For instance, they use 2×6 instead of 2×4’s, special nails drilled a special way, metal straps, hurricane straps for the roof (all buildings must have these). Houses have to be built to withstand at least 155 mph (ours built to withstand 175 mph winds). The sad thing for these people in the Florida panhandle is that they will have to build new homes to code. Most people who live in that area do not have a lot of money and will not be able to afford to rebuild. That is the same thing that happened in the Keys, people had to move away. Then you have the condo people move in and that charming old Florida beach town is no more.

After Irma, we replaced damaged shingle roof with metal roof (may now become code down here in the Keys). And replaced damaged vinyl siding with hardie board siding. Had hurricane impact windows/doors installed (not required, but what a relief not to have to put up shutters). And many people, even though they are not required to do so in other parts of Florida, choose to have their home built to a stronger code like Dade’s. Saves lots of time and money (not to mention lives) not to have to rebuild your home after storms. All that being said, I still do not want to be here for any hurricanes. I am surrounded by water.

……….and here I thought earthquakes were a nuisance.

        • John Denney says:

The techno-geek in me says another approach is to build a flimsy, cheap house with few furnishings that is easily replaceable when it blows away.

          • taw46 says:

I’m with you on that, lol. But people don’t want to live in flimsy little houses. Especially the extremely wealthy people who live in FL (like here in the Keys). But they can afford to build a fortress or replace the house. So we have these strict building codes, which prices out the average people. That’s what will happen in Mexico Beach. Many will have to move. No longer allowed to have cute little bungalows or modest homes. Sad. I mean I understand, clean-up costs are astronomical.

  12. Hope all of the Florida panhandle crawdaddies and mommies are safe and sound!

We’ve never been a fan of Kanye West’s music, nor his family, nor his juvenile take on complicated issues. He seems to be a canny businessman who understands his audience though.

We have been amused to see the left’s need to destroy him now that he has escaped the thought-police and seems to be thinking for himself for once, no matter how disordered those thought may be. It’s difficult to break those habits of allowing others to think for you.

But his rambling defense of Larry Hoover is a nonstarter here. Hoover was nothing but a merchant of drugs, destruction and death during his reign of terror. The only reason we’d want to see Hoover walking around outside of prison walls would be to see how long it would take for his past to catch up to him and get killed, except some innocent person might end up getting shot along with Hoover.

He wouldn’t last two weeks on the outside.

If you can make it there in New York, you’ll make it anywhere, including the swampy backwater town of Washington. Dave Boyer of the Washington Times noted that as president, Donald John Trump gives the press more access than his predecessors.

He has railed against the New York Times, but he gives the newspaper exclusive interviews.

“President Trump, already the most media-accessible president in memory, is talking to journalists almost nonstop as his successes pile up ahead of the midterm elections. Take Tuesday, for example,” Boyer wrote.

  14. taw46 says:

Look at this close up video of Mexico Beach. Many of those buildings still standing? They have major, major damage. Doesn’t matter how strong you build it when you have a Cat4/Cat5 and a 12 ft storm surge. And the older buildings didn’t stand a chance. Key West would have looked like that had Irma’s eye made landfall there. KW is full of historic wooden houses.

Got some of that as it passed through here to get to Richmond and then you. Some wind and hard rain, but nothing too bad. Whew.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

we have had some heavy rain and are to get winds but some of that is from the cold front pushing Micheal out to sea. So far no real storms. Our temps have been in the 80s closing on on 90 this week and the high tomorrow is only to be in the high 50s.

My internet has been hit or miss but I got a push notice about the state of emergency in Virginia on my ipad (LTE) and thought Michael had changed direction or not weakened as much as expected. Turns out Governor what’s his name apparently wants to try and collect more fed dollars. And some attention – he needs to get his face out there for his presidential run.
