Is it Monday?

Is it Monday?

I just woke up a little bit ago. No phone or internet. The last think I remember last night was laying in bed drifting off to sleep when I heard the cats knock somethin g over.

It was the modem router thingie that controls the flow of information electrons in and out of my machines. I must have put my brain in backwards when I got up cuz it ain’t working so good neither. Ever try to fix technical shit when:

1. Your brain is in backwards
2/ You ain’t no goddam technician.

I used guy trick #3 and started wiggling wires and connections. Somehow that fixt it. As soon as the green ;light came on the phone stsarted ringing off the fucking hook.

Jim Costa isa putz. This is an open thread/

My thoughts on “Why All The Journalists Hate Donald Trump” are in 2016 they collectively poo-pooed the possibility he would be ever be elected SO HARD, that the daily reminder of their colossal errors of judgement rankles SO BAD that it drives them bug-eyed and unable to control their animosity. To them he’s a daily personal affront to their individual and collective self-worth.

      • jenlyn says:

Totally agree but also he is a constant reminder–as are we–that THEY DO NOT HAVE THE POWER ANYMORE. Like the Wizard at the end of the movie in Wiz of Oz the sheet has been lifted we know they lie, collude, and report ‘their’ news vs. the truth. They will ONLY get angrier and more violent as we each fight for what is essentially this country and what she stands for. The fight is real people REAL and is only going to amp up from here. IT is about exactly what we realize it is about–the freedom to be America the Great or the indignity to be America the North American Venezuela

On top of that, they’re convinced that the free media many of the networks gave Trump in the primaries helped him win. They thought it was a hit job on the GOP by fooling them into picking a candidate Hillary could easily beat.

  3. Myiq2xu™ says:

I have been very diligent in keeping drinks away from my new keyboard. I keep my fluids on a separate, lower table to the side of my computer table. Last night I was trying to eat some ham and scalloped potaters. I set my drink down on the side table and dumped my plate full of gooey imitation potaters onto (wait for it) my new keyboard.

The keyboard is not ruined, it just looks kinda festive now.

    • votermom says:

I think some witch whammied you
      all your keyboards are doomed

    • blowme0bama says:

Those boxed scalloped potatoes are better than actual scalloped potatoes. I like the way firmness of the boxed potatoes.

    • Constance says:

You should try one of those pieces of thick but clear plastic over your keyboard. It feels weird but keeps stuff out of it. I don’t know if it’s really a thing they sell but I’ve seen some old guys who have them.

      • 1539days says:

You mean a keyboard protector? The problem is that you have to buy a keyboard that has a protector offered, because they need to fit snug.

I would suggest a really deep table for your computer where you can push the keyboard 8-10 inches in front of you and put the food next to you.

        • Somebody says:

Agree 1539. Klown get a wider desk or table. I have a countertop built in desk. I only ever eat lunch at my desk, but I just push my keyboard up. I also drink out of a tervis tumbler with the lid on.

        • DeniseVB says:

Mom Cave laptop sits on a breakfast tray on the bed, lovely beverages on the table next to it. I can push tray away from me when I have food, so the only threat to the keyboard is when I sneeze with a mouthful of food or drink. Or some of you crazies make me “Spew, You owe me a keyboard” 😉

        • 49erDweet says:

Am I the only Crawdadder who multi-keyboards? Sometimes with the tablet, sometimes the mobile, sometimes with PC#1, and other times with PC#2?

          • Mt.Laurel says:

            You are not alone.

I usually have multiple devices in play. That way I can have cpu intensive work going on the faster pc such as database queries or file structure changes and then I do less intensive work on a older notebook or catch up with email or TCH on my tablet. It does result in more typos – as I move between devices.

          • Somebody says:

I have multiple devices, but Klown was talking about his desktop keyboard.

          • Somebody says:

By the by, I suggested way back Klown get a cheap tablet and put it in a little case with a keyboard or buy a mini wireless keyboard to function as a backup, when his old computer died.

        • Myiq2xu™ says:

Any flat surface/empty space in the vicinity of my computer tends to attract cats. They’ll lay down on my keyboard while I’m trying to type.

Google admits in court documents that it believes free speech is “disastrous” for society

Every year, nearly half the world’s population uses Google. According to Internet Live Stats, Google processes over 40,000 search queries every second. In that same second, internet users view over 76,000 YouTube videos, a streaming service designed by Google. Across the globe there are now over two billion active android devices, a mobile operating system designed by Google. Google uses these services to track users and collect information about them

  7. Myiq2xu™ says:

It should be pointed out that, as with the fable of the straw that broke the camel’s back, the final straw itself was not a big deal. Acosta has a long history of doing these things. Trump does not have to tolerate that nonsense, nor should he.

    • blowme0bama says:

It really was nothing, but it was quite a bit more than Corey Lewendowsky (sp?) brushing by THOT Michelle Fields that caused Shapiro to demand Corey’s resignation.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

Lewendowsky was also trying to deflect someone getting to close to a presidential candidate. Missy Fields was in the wrong to even approach in the manner. She was lucky she did not try tactic that on an SS guy.

It was one of the times the Little Ben could not help himself. He was to eat his cake and hat it too.

        • DeniseVB says:

Fields breached the “security circle” by rushing Trump with her cell phone, Corey possibly saved her from having her arm broken. SS would have respond much more violently.

“Appeals court says Trump admin can’t end DACA”
9th Circuit, shocking!!! This is good, I think. SCOTUS has been kicking the can down the road on DACA because there has been no Circuit Court ruling. Now there is and hopefully SCOTUS will decide this term. DACA going down 5-3, I’m not sure RBG is going to make it back on the bench this time.

‘Left’ Organizes “Response Events” In 900 Cities To Protest Firing Of Jeff Sessions

t truly is amazing how rapidly these groups were able to put up web pages promoting these events and get the call out on social media. It is almost as if they knew that this was coming.

MoveOn.Org is one of the organizations that is spearheading this effort, and their page promoting these protests is identical to the page promoting these protests on

According to both pages, the protests will be held on November 8th at 5 PM local time…

    • taw46 says:

If they think this was put together fast, wait until they see how quickly mobs are mobilized if RBG has to retire.

    • lyn says:

      What don’t these fascists protest?

    • Mt.Laurel says:

They already had the protests in the works for after the election. Several people in my area that work for the creepy NGOs in swampland were already letting people know last weekend they would not be able to X or Y because they are needed at a new round if protests.

      Original “Reasons”:
Burn it all down of the Ds win.
Burn it all down if the Ds lose.

They got the house but not the senate so now they are tacking on Jeff’s resignation as the latest “reason”.

      • Constance says:

Well judging by the groups of 5 or 6 cops all over Pike Place Market and downtown Seattle on election day The Powers That Be knew something was up. Of course the idiot Libs won everything here but their cherished Initiative causes were defeated. “NO” to the “first carbon tax in the nation” and “NO” to their bullshit sugar taxes. So sad! Some ambitious Progressives in Seattle aren’t going to get their smiling face on the cover of Mother Jones.

GMTA ! As for Nelson, what has he done for Florida? nothing that I can see. We have a shot of getting things improved with Scott.

        • taw46 says:

I agree, Helen. They are trying to steal the election. Broward is always crooked with their “found” votes.

Some of my friends in Florida were seriously thinking of moving if Gillum won. They were so mad because they love it there. All are blaming Broward County (DWS), the most corrupt in the state. Glad my son got out of there, but Colorado isn’t any better, he called to say he lives in Colofornia now.

Yes, but he is the only one I can find who is tweeting updates about what’s going on with Broward County. And his tweets so far have not been partisan about this recount. He has pointed out the past problems with the Supervisor of Elections and the fact that this is a heavy Dem County. (I realize his tweets could change. 😉)

          • DeniseVB says:

No, I was just pointing that out if he stabs us in the back Politico does have some good moments, but I still trust but verify. It seems that stupid is Gods favorite model for people. The Republicans don’t have a strategy for getting votes from stupid people and that is there own fault. Now Republicans need an emotional ploy to get the stupid vote because there are a lot of them.
