‘Tougher, smarter & angrier’: Trump warns Antifa had better hope the ‘other side’ doesn’t mobilize

US President Donald Trump had words of warning for ‘Antifa’ protesters targeting conservatives, saying that they’d be in “big trouble” if opposing groups mobilized to counter them.

“These people, like the Antifa — they better hope that the opposition to Antifa decides not to mobilize. Because if they do, they’re much tougher. Much stronger. Potentially much more violent. And Antifa’s going to be in big trouble. But so far they haven’t done that and that’s a good thing,” Trump told the Daily Caller in an interview on Wednesday.

The only Italian phrases I learned from my grandparents were swear words, which did sound beautiful in their native language 🙂

        • Anthony says:

True. When you say “Shove it up your sister’s ass” in Italian, it sounds like an aria from a Verdi opera.

          • DeniseVB says:

Ok, the one that sticks in my young, impressionable head and still in my mind, phonetically, “on von novela” ? Shove it up your sister’s ass is so Vic Dibitetto, and gawd, I love him 🙂 Both my grandparents had about 11 or 12 siblings, all immigrated to Brooklyn, I always hoped I was related to Vic somehow 😀

          • Anthony says:

‘Putana fragida’ is another one. I learned that one in Benevento and sang it at the top of my lungs to the melody of ‘Il Dona Mobile’. It means “you filthy whore”. They loved me in the taverns lol

  22. Somebody says:

Weigh in crawdad cooks. I was looking through some recipes for the holidays and one called for “thick milk”. In my mind I assume scalded milk, but then thought maybe condensed. It’s an old recipe so I thought maybe buttermilk or sour milk. It’s for a cake. I decided to try Google for the term.

I didn’t really get an answer, but I learned about a fetish involving milk cartons 😨

Sooooo what do you think the term thick milk means in a recipe? It definitely doesn’t mean spooge milk, although my hubby volunteered to thicken the milk 🙄
Please weigh in if you’ve run across that term in baking before.

      • DeniseVB says:

I was thinking whole milk, which is “thicker” than skim or 2%. If it’s an old recipe, maybe it’s the stuff that rose to the top of a milk bottle, which is now our heavy cream.

    • swanspirit says:

I think it means buttermilk. I found it in an Amish recipe calling for thick milk, or clabbered milk.

      • Somebody says:

Not Amish, but hubby’s paternal grandmother that came here from Alsace region which is where the Amish also came from……so we’re going with buttermilk

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

You should have handed hubby a coffee cup and told him to fill it up.

(I think the recipe refers to condensed milk.)

    • elliesmom says:

“Thick milk” is clabber. You can’t make clabber from pasteurized milk. Probably the closest you can come to the taste and texture in the cake is to use buttermilk. If you don’t have buttermilk, you can put 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar in a measuring cup and add enough milk to make a cup. Or water down some yogurt.

      • Somebody says:

Thanks for the tips Elliesmom. I figured you of all people on here had come across that term. Turns out Swannie knew the term too. I have a treasure trove of recipes from both of hubby’s grandmothers. They were both said to be excellent cooks, I never met one and only met the other one briefly at a wedding, before he and I were even dating. She had been gone for years before we started dating.

Paternal grandmother was from Alsace area. Maternal grandmother was born here but her parents came from Italy. My MIL was not a cook by any stretch of the imagination. Hubby’s memories of the holidays and treats are of things his grandmothers made. My MIL got all of both women’s handwritten recipes that she never touched really. Neither of my SIL’s are cooks, so I ended up with this treasure trove! I have multiple boxes full of handwritten recipes. Every year I try to pull out a few things to make at the holidays for hubby.

      • John Denney says:

Well, actually, you can make clabber from pasteurized milk. Just stir in a tablespoon of plain yogurt that still has live bacteria in it into warm (118 degrees F.) milk and let it stand until it’s thick enough. Overnight it makes yogurt.

Real buttermilk is impossible to find (it’s the liquid left after butter has been churned out of heavy cream). What’s sold as “buttermilk” is just cultured milk as I described above, with little bits of butter in it to make it “butter milk”.

So, to make buttermilk pancakes, I’ll substitute a thick mix of milk, sour cream, and plain yogurt, about 2 Tbspn sour cream, 1/4 to 1/2 cup yogurt, and enough milk to bring the mix up to 12 ounces.

BTW, I don’t buy plain yogurt unless it’s just milk and live bacteria; no gelatin or other thickeners.

    • votermom says:

I thought you said “crawdad crooks” and I perked up, but no…
      😁

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I have Mennonite/Pennsylvania Dutch in my family tree and I am not sure you can make true thick milk any longer. It would be raw milk or buttermilk (not pasteurized/homogenized) that was set covered on a counter to “thicken”. Most of these people were farmers or had farmers in the family so getting real buttermilk was never a problem as they all had at least a few dairy cows.

you could use heavy cream or buttermilk. we also used plain yogurt mixed with a little water (it needs to be pourable) as that is closer to what you get when buttermilk is allowed to sit out to thicken.

      • Somebody says:

Thanks Mt. Laurel, I think I can purchase raw milk still if it hasn’t been outlawed, but I’ve never seen raw buttermilk anywhere. The yogurt option sounds like the easiest, several people have mentioned that, I think that’s the route I’ll take.

I assume I want to water down yogurt until it is about as thick as buttermilk?

OK those of you that mentioned this option weigh in. Thank you all, crawdadders are the best!

        • Ann says:

Look at Amish or Mennonite farms for raw milk (I never saw either in your part of Florida, but that does not mean they aren’t there).

        • Anthony says:

Did you make it yet? I want some.

the fix is in people the only way this amount of voter fraud would be tolerated by the party getting ass f***** would be if they agreed and the trade-off is they’re going to share the power. You know who’s getting screwed though is Donald Trump and us the good people who believe in right is right and wrong is wrong. The problem is the Tipping Point of evil has done tipped and the Republican party has sold out America just like the Democrats and every other assholes out there there is no f****** way the Republican Party would take these obvious thefts of seeds and less a deal have been worked out. It reminds me of Hillary and Denver knowing what happened knowing the massive amount of voter fraud fraud criminal activity etc etc when she walked up to the mic and instead of telling the world what happened she took her place on the back of the bus to lick the shoes of the man she called the most dangerous man in America and sold us out for the potential right to be president later down the line because it’s really all about them and not about the people they’re supposed to serve. We need to ride in the street we need to burn it down we need to oh f*** it you don’t see me doing anything you know why because I’d be the only one out there and because I guess I’m just too tired anymore to really fight. I feel bad for our president because he realizes now he’s in the fight alone except for us and we are powerless to help it’s a sad day for me but I saw the writing on the wall months before the election when I try to talk to people about why for example they would support Beto overworked a man who has professed only policies that hurt them and their children and the only thing they could say was but what about from. Like Goebbels and Hitler did many years ago they found a scapegoat and conveniently every problem can be blamed on Donald Trump and until he is done away with and those that agree with him the world will not be right so no matter what you have to do the only thing that matters is get rid of trump and his followers. Just replace the word with Juju and we’re right back in Germany when Anne Frank was still alive and the world was a little bit better off and more naive because we didn’t realize truly how evil the human race is. I see no hope and I am being completely honest here I see no hope for America. Stupid is the new in ignorance is now correct you know Pelosi just think Al Sharpton for saving America Beto and Cruz say the only thing that matters now is unity and we’re supposed to believe this s*** period in my America Beto O’Rourke would be laughed off the stage and Al Sharpton would be sweeping streets for pocket change because he’s too lazy to hold a regular job like the rest of us. If anyone else can put forward a legitimate concept as to why the Republicans would accept this massive loss via theft go for it but if not I fear I am correct

Dora and between you and me and everyone here Michelle will be on the candidate list it’ll be a Michelle Biden or Michelle Beto ticket and I’ll be honest with you with the amount of cheating and ignorance combined and the fact that the Republicans have rolled over on us and are going to be dead permanently they’re going to win they’re going to win I know that I’m just a negativity here at this point and I don’t mean to be but I have tried to explain this I’ve drawn graphs diagrams thought through every possible scenario and I’m sorry but the only reason the Republicans are not fighting this is because they’ve given up they’ve traded job security for peace of mind and this country we have no one in this fight for us except Donald Trump and he can’t do it alone and he must know that he knows this he probably knew it first cuz when it doesn’t make sense as it don’t make sense and this don’t make sense and I just don’t know how I’m going to be able to take it because the indignity and the lying and what we’re going to have to stomach I mean guys I might have to be blind deaf and dumb I just don’t know how I’m going to do I really don’t I’m really really really really scared it’s like that point in the horror movie where you realize that you are going to die the only question is how I see everything clear Isabel no and I just can’t figure out a way to win

Democrats however are allowed to vote with no ID required, vote for months after the election, vote as many time as necessary to secure a victory and count the votes until victory is assured.

Any attempt to stop democrats from securing enough votes to assure victory will be swiftly dealt with by left wing judges, resistance is futile.

It’s what Trump was suggesting when he said the Republicans should get behind Pelosi and give her whatever votes she needed to get elected Speaker since she’d be the best foil for them in 2020.

I went on a Boston to Bermuda cruise. There was an entertainer onboard who did a really good Neil Diamond impression. I’m sure he knew “Sweet Caroline” would get a reaction from the crowd, but I don’t think he was quite expecting the singalong/dancing in the aisles he was going to get from a largley Boston area crowd when the Sox were in the middle of the playoffs. Right after the Boston Marathon bombings, Neil Diamond asked if he could come to Fenway to lead the singing between the 7th and 8th inning.

a judge just ruled that the white house has to return acosta’s pass

since when can some asshole ignorant ill mannered upstart override the president of the USA?
as for the judge he must have been appointed by backtrack.
white house pass is a privilege not a right.

so he can return but he does not have to have a front seat, he can sit in the back in the corner and never be called up. Just be ignored and overlooked.

No. They have been GIVEN every race in California since election day. The Repugs are playing the same game the Demorats played when Hillary conceded the primary to Mobama — you take this one, pay me a lot, and I will take the next one. ONLY one not in on this is Trump and us. YOU CANNOT STEAL THIS BLATANTLY AND GET AWAY WITH IT UNLESS THE DEAL HAS BEEN DONE.
