Lots of news posted this morning downstairs, be sure to catch up ! Joy Villa and this guy are blowing up twitter this morning, and not in a good way. LOL, I think triggering is a new sport for the bravest of we Trump supporters.

  2. DeniseVB says:

LOL, Joy’s being attacked for ripping off Pink Floyd !

While the Grammys were being doled out, the I semi-watched the BATFA awards being distributed on the BBC. Not for nothing, but the tribalism (aka diversity) was just a wee bit over the top. Anytime a poc was given the award, you’d have thought the Civil War had been won again. There were also a few disparaging comments about Brexit, but nothing like the politics that has been riding roughshod over the past couple years of awards shows here.
I understand the political commentary at the Grammys was down considerably last night. Maybe these entertainers finally figured out their low ratings were directly related to their nasty barbs and attacks. The proof will be in the pudding come the Oscars. I plan to be a very distant and dismissive onlooker that night. If I watch at all.

  3. swanspirit says:

So, we still haven’t heard anything from Klown? It’s a little concerning.😦

    • Somebody says:

Yes it is, I’m worried. I really, really hope he took our advice to heart and got medical attention.

    • lateblum says:

I’ve looked on twitter as well and haven’t seen anything there either. Well, I thought I saw a tweet, but I think it was one of those automated ones. And when I went back to look for it, I didn’t find it.
I hope he checked in with his doc, or an urgent care clinic and is getting some care and some rest as well.

      • dm says:

I’m extremely concerned. His edema could be a symptom of something not functioning right…kidneys, heart, etc. Let’s hope he is getting treatment for this very serious issue.

        • lateblum says:

I know. And I am fearful of what it is as well.

        • Somebody says:

Oh goodness dm, I hadn’t thought of that….I was worried about infection. Oh now I’m really worried. I’m sure his mom and sister will check in on him and force him to seek medical attention. Hopefully he’s getting the medical attention he needs right now.

    • Woke Lola says:

Also concerned. I hope we hear from him soon.

  4. foxyladi14 says:

🙏 Praying for our beloved Klown!! ❤

  5. driguana says:

Personally, I believe that all of this AOC, Harris, Omar, Warren, Booker stuff is all a front for publicity. How can anyone take these people seriously? You can’t. But if you do, you live in an alternative universe. In my humble Aquarian opinion, this is all a calculated, moneyed set up for Joe Biden and Michelle Obama to run in 2020. Everything else is a distracting charade, providing lots of publicity and money for the clowns now dancing on the media stage to distract us.

    • Woke Lola says:

I dunno. I’ve long said that I thought Michelle Obama would shoot for the presidency, just to spite HRC if nothing else. After watching her on the Grammy’s last night? She’s not ready. But you could see her trying with her politically-trained hand gestures.

      • driguana says:

That’s why I think it will be in conjunction with Biden… as a “team” at first. Just wait. I predicted The don would win, against all odds…and this is what my Aquarian gut is telling me at the moment.

    • elliesmom says:

While I can’t see Michelle wanting the job of POTUS, she might like flitting around and attending weddings and funerals.

    • taw46 says:

I don’t think Michelle has any desire to run, she likes her celebrity life. However, as I said before, if the Dems think the only way they can win is with her running for the top spot, then they would “sweeten the pot”, big payoff. And Val would once again be President. I’m leading strongly toward will not run, but always a possibility.

      • DeniseVB says:

The Obamas have made millions since 2008 and making even more since they left the WH. At what point do we tell them they’ve made enough money ? 😉 I honestly don’t think they love this country enough to take the pay cut.

  6. Somebody says:

Good news I just got a phone call that I’m getting a $9,000 federal grant I didn’t even apply for, why my goodness what luck…..NOT!

How many people you think will fall for that scam?

    • swanspirit says:

And all you have to do to get this windfall is ???? Give them all your personal information, SS#, bank account number, etc etc?

      • Somebody says:

        • swanspirit says:

I saw one scam, where they offered to put $2000 in your bank account, and then of course they wipe you out. But I thought, why not open a brand new account at a different bank, let them deposit the money, and then withdraw the money, and close the account. I wish I was brave enough to try it!!!

  7. lyn says:

I’m assuming Mooch was at the Grammys, because she won one for reading her book just as Buhrock did.

    • swanspirit says:

Bringing this up from downstairs, so you can see the pantsuit made from plastic garbage bags, she wore to the Grammys. Why is she wearing all these baggy clothes? I think she can’t fit into anything structured anymore. She is living off the fat of the land, and loving it.
I really don’t think she will be persuaded, to run for office. It’s too much work for this Beyonce wanna be. It would take too much time away from her couch time.

    • lyn says:

I was wrong. Gasp! Jimmy Carter won this year for Spoken Word. Mooch wasn’t nominated, but she probably will be next year.

Bobby O’Rourke taking over the spotlight.

Beto O’Rourke to join march, speak near President Trump’s rally Monday in El Paso

Former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, a potential rival for President Donald Trump in the 2020 general election, will speak during an event intended to outshine the president’s El Paso rally.

O’Rourke, who gave up his congressional seat in an unsuccessful effort to unseat Texas Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz in last year’s elections, made the city’s safety and the need for immigration reform a major focus of his campaign.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

If what I have read more tech and business focused areas over the years is correct, Mrs Bezos and her team are actually the brains behind the most of the areas of Amazon that work the best. Jeffie plays with all the toys and serves as the front man. He may be looking for someone to blame when it become clear that parts of his little world are as fake as the soft spoken scrappy genius image he has attempted to cultivate. And his attitude toward seeking someone to blame for his fickle pickle photos is really quite amusing. I assume he thinks focusing on that will keep people from finding wife has even more ammunition to bring to bear at the negotiating table.

      • Constance says:

If it is his wife who dropped this then he is in deep shit as she knows all and is actively out to sink him.

      • DeniseVB says:

If my hubby’s company were worth billions, I’d buy him a young “twinkie” and take half. Can you imagine the Cabana Boys I can buy, lol ! But seriously, Bezos doesn’t seem too bright to throw away a family and half his company for a side chick. There’s more to this story, as they say……

        • Constance says:

You are nice. It depends on her mood, she could also torture and humiliate him and take half of his company. It would just depend ow he has acted in their marriage. I would guess he was barely there so he shouldn’t expect much.

Looks like nice weather for the visit from PT. Enjoy the positive vibes that should be floating about Texas today. And may Beto Beetle have a large gray rain cloud follow him about in his effort to steal some of the spotlight.

      • lyn says:

May Beto be a crunchy beetle.

      • DeniseVB says:

I wonder how early Beto’s crowd been lining up? Can’t be too early, them union folks don’t come cheap by the hour 😀

      • mcnorman says:

No, the weather is awful. We are expecting 45mph winds. The cool down to 32 is not a big deal, but the wind is. Just about lost the chicken coop last week. Horrible. I do hope that turd Beta has a bad hair night. Such a tool poking his finger at POTUS in this manner.

        • Mt.Laurel says:

Ah, I saw the temps and the blue sky but no indication of wind. 30 is not bad for inter lows if no precip or wind – but either of those two can make it miserable.

    A Farewell To Walter Jones

t is with the greatest sadness that I have to post the death of Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., died Sunday in Greenville, N.C., Jones was one of my former clients when I represented Democratic and Republican members challenging the Libyan war. I spent many lunches and conversations with Walter through the years. I have never met a member of Congress who was more honest and earnest in trying to serve the public. He was an incredibly self-effacing man who felt guilt for not being able to stop the many foreign wars. As a representative with a large military district, Jones was crushed by the deaths or wounding of young men and women in the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and other hot spots. He was 76.

Staffers to Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax resign following second sexual assault allegation

Two of the three government staffers to Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax and two employees of his political action committee resigned following news Friday of a second sexual assault allegation against him.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

Let me just say that these people are hypocrites trying to salvage their own political careers. They were more than happy to take those jobs when they thought of them as good enough stepping stones after the Ds lost the WH. It is interesting that Barry does not appear to be making any move to help save Fairfax’s butt. Most of his staff came via that route rather than Hildegarde.

      • lateblum says:

I’m glad you said “interesting” rather than “surprising” that bronco hasn’t done anything publicly to help Fairfax. What is surprising is that people think obama would actually help anyone when there’s nothing in it for him.

        • Mt.Laurel says:

No – you are correct it is not at all surprising – to me. I have met or sat on panels/committees with many of Fairfax’s staffers at one time or another. Barry Bots to the Max and got jobs via connections and favors not skill sets. two or three lost their cushy appointments to various agencies when PT took office. There are many like this floating about the out-rim of the swamp waiting for another chance to regain their former higher paying spots with perks. Have no clue they have been left to fend for themselves and still worship at the shrine of Mr Teleprompter and his handlers.

    • swanspirit says:

My grandson is stationed at Fort Bliss I haven’t heard from him yet, as to whether or not he can go to the rally. I hope he gets to go. So happy you can go!!! Have a blast. My one piece of advice, get as close as you can to the President; U wish I had gotten closer.

      • mcnorman says:

Work kept me from leaving and getting to the venue within a reasonable time. 😦 The people kept on coming. Beto’s rally had less than 200 people. POTUS called it 15 total. snicker.

    • Somebody says:

Have fun McNorman! Trump rallies are a lot of fun and you meet the nicest people. I’m so J!

      • mcnorman says:

OMG you aren’t kidding. I didn’t make it in time to get inside the venue. It was cold outside with horrible wind but we all had a great time. I have to tell you that the commie flag carriers were escorted nicely out of the venue. Personally, I would have loved to have kicked some arse. These children (and they were underaged) behaved horribly. The adults had a great time.

    • lateblum says:

So cool! I hope you have a great time. let us know everything.

      • mcnorman says:

It was wonderful. Last time I saw people this excited and happy was when LBJ turned over the Chamizal to Mexico. Yup, that was a long time ago. People were so polite. My friends actually got time with Don Jr., and the Donald. They are some of the people that put up the money for the wall. It was amazing to see the all of the top Texas government officials there as well. El Paso is the stepchild of Texas. A very much annoying stepchild I might add. I think that the turnout sent a huge message to the Governor’s office.

  35. fritz says:

  36. Mt.Laurel says:

I think of you every time I hear someone say that there are no problems at the border and an pure no strings attached open policy is best.

    • mcnorman says:

Thanks Mt.Laurel. There was a kiddo who had the gumption to confront everyone outside about open borders. The crowd was sympathetic but told him that in no uncertain terms it was wrong to cut in front of the line. He actually began to cry. He must have been 20 or so. He could not argue with anyone because he knew that breaking the law is wrong. I think everyone felt for him but we all knew it was an important lesson for him.

They are ALL so full of shit.

    • taw46 says:

      • mcnorman says:

Taw the people kept coming in droves. They also left because they didn’t have any place to stand. The fire dept also allowed an extra 1000 into the coliseum. They had over 69,000 requests for tickets. Beta didn’t have much except a lot of soy boy childish behavior.
