    • Miranda says:

Per CNN, he also wrote that initial letter, and the whole thing was because he wasn’t happy with his salary.

      • jeffhas says:

To me, ‘not happy with your salary’ is such a shallow, craven excuse, that no one is going to come help him.

I would think Empire fires him immediately- I mean this wasn’t an act of a person under pressure in Trump’s New World, he was just looking for leverage over his bosses at Empire.

Gotta think this goes really south for Pussie.

      • lateblum says:

Yup. I was really shocked when I heard Eddie Johnson, Supt of CPD say that in this morning’s presser. Frankly, I wondered if this particular statement from Johnson wasn’t hammered together in order to prejudice the public so Juicy wouldn’t have to stand trial here. You could see, hear and taste Johnson’s anger in this appearance.

      • Anthony says:

Thats bullshit. How does faking a hate crime and blaming it on the President and his supporters help you negotiate a contract? IT DOESN’T. This was to alienate Trump and supporters and drive polls and turnout down before 2020. Kamala Toe Harris’ little anti lynching bill gave it away, probably recommended by Obama’s shadow operation.

    • lateblum says:

I took one for the team this morning. Yup. I watched the first 10 minutes or so of ABC’s The View. Actually I did it intentionally for the first and last (most likely) time. But I wanted to see what they said about Jussie and his arrest, as the presser immediately preceded the program. Color me surprised to say they were very upset that he had created and acted out his own hoax . . . even going so far as to have mailed his hate letter to himself. What also surprised me was there was no empathy or sympathy directed to him.
One of the “ladies” (might have been Ana Navarro – who is on the show) said she had only seen him in person in Miami the week before and thought he was an authentic, truthful advocate for LGBT, blacks and other minorities. She said he is a “good actor”.
Megan McCain referred to him as a sociopath. There was no sympathy shown for hm there.
This was the extent of my viewing of that show. I most likely won’t return. But it was a not unpleasant experience. Very different from times past when I’ve been unwillingly exposed to them and have seen them as screeching banshees.

      • Constance says:

I can’t figure out why The View is considered relevant, but it is. I think Outnumbered on FOX is much more relevant and the women are more intelligent.

      • mcnorman says:

Whoopi has been absent this week. Rumor has it that she is the chief agenda pusher. She is in Hollywood for the Academy Awards this week.

        • lateblum says:

That’s funny because What’s her name, Joy Behar?, sent Whoopi a get well soon message this morning.

The Juicy Presser. Keep handy to watch before the media tells you what you heard 😛

    • DandyTIger says:

It would be funny if it weren’t actually likely it could happen.

    • swanspirit says:

Quote from the Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department :
Jussie Smollet, is not even at the top of that list. Not even close.
But I know who I would put there.

      • swanspirit says:

Sorry for the all caps, but that phrase, when he said it, just knocked me for a loop. If I hadn’t been sitting down, it would have knocked me down. Jussie didn’t invent race baiting. He just took it a bit farther, and wasn’t quite so smooth with it, as some of his teachers.

        • lateblum says:

I watched the entire presser this morning as it happened and was amazed at the anger and injury I saw Johnson display. (It was very human and very unprofessional as well.).

  11. Dora says:

OMG! I’m waiting for one of these cases to be brought to the Supreme Court.

  12. taw46 says:

    Here we go……

  13. taw46 says:

    • lateblum says:

One of the comments on the news, following the presser, was, “Remember, criminals are stupid”. It was from the attorney who serves as a legal expert for that channel’s news team. This then spawned a discussion about all the stupid things Jussie had done throughout this “escapade”.

  14. taw46 says:

      • DandyTIger says:

Sadly it’s not a mistake. If she were born in the US, she’s a US citizen. The exception could be if the dad were still a diplomate. They’re claiming he wasn’t. So we’ll have to see paperwork on that. On the other hand, even if she is a citizen, she can just be summarily marched off to prison if she does return. War criminal time.

        • taw46 says:

I read that he ceased being a diplomat one month before she was born (how convenient). Her CAIR legal representative says several months before she was born. My question is, if he was no longer a diplomat, why were he and his wife allowed to stay here? Will be interesting to hear all of the facts.

        • lateblum says:

She’ll be marched off to Gitmo if she’s found to be an enemy combatant or terrorist, I think.

          • Somebody says:

Sounds like the perfect case to get rid of anchor babies.

          • Constance says:

I can’t remember where I read this or I would link it but apparently there are 15 or so men who fought for ISIS and are now trying to reclaim their USA citizenship and they were being accepted back. I’m guessing because they have a place to hold men convicted or charged with treason but they don’t have any place to put women with children. Of course “the children, the children, they can’t separate the children!”.

  15. jeffhas says:

They have to act like reasonable people on this subject.

The actions are so egregious, the evidence is so overwhelming and damning, and the reason (“I wanted a higher salary”) so craven that there is no defense. If anyone tries to defend him, they will be tainted the same way.

… and this is the sad lesson for Conservatives and anyone NOT on the left; when you are up against The Left, you better have all the facts on your side, the evidence must be overwhelming, video is a must, and there can be no grey area. Anything less then that will get you flame throwers and Molotov cocktails. The left (and media, but I repeat myself) is ready to pounce on any little thing they perceive as incorrect, not necessarily an injustice, just that it could be perceived one way or the other – and they go for the jugular.

The most unreasonable, superiority-complex, a**holes ever.

That’s why this situation (which is reallly terrible) kinda feels like a ‘win’ for Conservatives and thosenotwoke. I’m (almost) ashamed to feel like we ‘won’ something here.

… but it really is a shame that he felt he could get away with it without any repercussions, and that feeling didn’t happen in a vacuum, our victim-mentality-society deemed it probable (not just possible).

    • jeffhas says:

Supposed to nest under latenlum regarding The View being normal for a minute regarding Jussie.

Grrrr… now I just hate my iPhone posting!

    • lateblum says:

It’s also really a shame that he was willing to let others take the fall for him. I have so many thoughts in my head about the possible reasons he did this… 1. He’s a sociopath, 2. He’s paranoid and believed his employers wouldn’t listen to him or value him without being a victim, 3. He’s narcissistic and has now suffered multiple narcissistic injuries that he might be suicidal (James Woods posted something like this almost word-for-word) and should be on a suicide watch, 4. He was raised as a snowflake and expected to be rewarded for this unbelievable story because he’s not accustomed to being dismissed, 5. How does he ever make up for the damage he’s done?, 6. Does he even see what damage he might have done? 7. If he is a sociopath, even prison time will not rehabilitat3 him because his thoughts are, “I will get whatever I want by whatever means necessary.”

      • swanspirit says:

I was thinking make borderline personality disorder, with narcissistic tendencies.. Attention seeking, has to be the VICTIM, gets to blame others, etc.
It will be interesting to see his plea in court.

        • swanspirit says:

          Male, not make. Autoincorrect 😖

        • lateblum says:

I was thinking Narcissistic PD with borderline features. 😉 also sociopathic. Either way, I’d still have him on suicide watch while in the prison – if that’s where he is.

          • Anthony says:

Showers. Newbies always have a crowd around them in prison showers. One of them is sure to alert the gusrds if he tries to harm himself, poor dear

          • Myiq2xu™ says:

Meh. When he gets out his agent will be telling all the casting directors that he now has genuine “street cred” and he’ll probably write a book about the whole experience and then do a book tour. He might even play himself in the movie.

As far as the Left is concerned, the only thing he did wrong was get caught. Just watch – one day in the not-too-distant future Juicy will be on teevee ‘splainin’ how it was all Trump’s fault.

“I was so overwhelmed by all the racism and homophobia that Trump and his supporters were unleashing on America that I became desperate and went a little crazy.

            ((interviewer nods in agreement}}

“But now that I’ve seen with my own the institutional racism and brutality that is at the very foundation of our justice system I am fundamentally changed and I know we need to abolish all the walls that oppress people, including prison walls, border walls, and Walmarts.”

            {interviewer hugs Juicy with tears leaking from his eyes.}}

“You are so brave,” he tells Juicy.

      • Constance says:

I think he is a sociopath and doesn’t care what problems he has caused. In his mind he is still the victim and was only doing what he wanted to do and everyone else is just getting in the way.

If you won’t vote Democrat we’ll just important people who will.

  22. taw46 says:

I heard a little of Rush’s show today. He thinks Barack wants back in the WH real bad, wants that power. And of course, the only way to do that is through Michelle. He thinks that he and his cohorts are planning Michelle’s campaign and how to take out/discredit those Dems who are running. He believes they are all so full of hate for Trump and discombobulated in ways we can’t even imagine.

    • lateblum says:

I’d agree with Rush even though I never listen to him. (because I don’t know when he’s on and probably am not invested enough in finding out, I guess.)

      • taw46 says:

I like him, but only hear him when I am driving somewhere, between 12 and 3, lol. I think you can go to his website and listen, or at least read the transcript.

      • swanspirit says:

Moochelle hates the White House, thinks it was like being in prison. I don’t think she will go for it.

        • taw46 says:

I’m certainly leaning strongly that way, that she won’t do it. But I don’t rule out anything.

        • lateblum says:

If she thinks bronco will do the “heavy lifting” she might. I hope this doesn’t happen. I don’t believe I could stomach any more of those two than I’ve already had to.

          • taw46 says:

She will always have Val to take care of everything. Like she did with Barack. But I can’t see Michelle putting up with even the very minimum she would have to do. Still, as I’ve said before, if the powers that be want it bad enough…….
But I’m like you, couldn’t take those two again. Why I do believe I would have to go jump in the canal, lol.

BTW: Our news radio station (CBS) continues to disclose more and more information about Jussie’s plans and contacts with the brothers, etc. I really think they are trying to get this case dismissed due to prejudice from the media. Of, if not dismissed, then to promote a plea deal to bypass jail time. Been thinking this ever since the presser this morning,

So this morning I end up in the ER. I’m sittin’ around up home and had a short bout of amnesia, the doc said. My honey knew it was serious when I couldn’t remember who the president was. LOL. And when I said our kids names were my siblings. Fortunately our hosp is only 4 blocks away…..and by that time my memory had returned. A little scary and confusing, but 2 hours in and out seems pretty reassuring to me.
