Where Are The Racists?

A few racist losers exercide their right to assemble while surrounded by a larger group of armed police. Not pictured: A large angry mob of anti-racist protestors thst outnumber the cops and racists by at least 10:1

There was a time in my youth when elected officials could be openly racist in some places in America. We had governors, Senators, at least one Supreme Court Justice and as many as four Presidents that were confirmed or alleged to be active or former members of the Ku Klux Klan. By the time I was born in 1960 that era was waning and by 1965 racial discrimination was illegal and the federal government was actively enforcing the right of blacks and other racial minorities to vote. Practically overnight racism became taboo.

Things got better for a while. Freed from de jure discrimination, black people across the nation began to rise up in all fields of endeavor. We had black people at or near the top in law, medicine, business, science, entertainment, sports, military, you name it. In some areas, like sports, they even began to dominate. In 2008 we elected our first black President.

Some people celebrated the election of Barack Obama as the culmination of Martin Luther King’s dream. Sadly, his election triggered a backlash by white people who were enraged to see a black man in the White House. This backlash would result in race relations being set back at least 50 years, maybe more. At least that’s what the Democrats say.

According to the Left, the poorly concealed racism of the Republican party was the driving force that united them in opposition to everything Barack Obama said and did. It didn’t matter whether the subject was taxes or spending, foreign policy or domestic policy, gun control, immigration, global warming climate change, or healthcare, Republicans opposed Barack Obama because he was black.

Democrats say that it was racism that caused the GOP rank and file to form the Tea Party, which was sorta like the Klan but without the white hoods. But the worst part of this racist resurgence was when white cops all across the country, operating under color of authority, began murdering black men with impunity. The most egregious incident was the case of Mike Brown in Ferguson Missouri. In August of 2014 Brown was an 18-year-old gentle giant who had recently graduated from high school and was looking forward to starting college in the fall. Then on August 9th he was stopped for no reason by white police officer Darren Wilson who, despite Brown’s upraised empty hands and pleas to “Don’t shoot,” gunned Brown down in cold blood.

If Democrats are to be believed, a populist huckster named Donald Trump saw all of this as an opportunity. Using racial dog whistles and racist coded language (like questioning Obama’s birth certificate) he was able to garner the support of a secret society of white supremacists known as the “alt-right.” (These alt-righters are as virulent a hate group as any Klansmen or Nazis that ever lived, but they cleverly hide their racial hatred behind moderating language and never openly use racial epithets or advocate racist policies. They publicly deny they are racists and pretend to only be concerned about crime or illegal immigration.)

Democrats claim that Trump established his position as the “white” candidate when he kicked off his campaign by announcing that all Mexicans were rapists. Then later, when he was called out for his racism, Trump would lie and deny he ever said such a thing. This began a pattern that continues to this day.

If you ask any Democrat they will tell you that none of this would have mattered if the media had done its job. But the media ignored Trump’s racism and lies and instead obsessed about Hillary’s emails. The media gave Trump what amounted to billions of dollars in free advertising. This kept the election close enough that Vlad Putin and his merry band of Russian hackers were, in collusion with Donald Trump, able to hack the vote in a few key places and tip the election to Trump.

Democrats have been telling us over and over and over again that Trump’s successful theft of the presidency has only emboldened and empowered the racist right. Since the election there has been a surge in racial hate crimes that is reminiscent of the heydey of Jim Crow and the Klan. That is why Jussie Smollett was able to fool so many people with his unfortunate hate crime hoax. Yes, Jussie lied, but what he described has become so commonplace that his story was easy to believe.

That is what the Democrats say, anyway.

I have a question for the Democrats. If racists are everywhere and racial hate crimes are so common, where are they?

If a person wanted to join the KKK or the Neo-Nazis, where would he go to sign up? They have been booted off social media. Do they have a PO Box or a phone number? The only people I know of that joined a white supremacist group had to go to prison to apply for membership.

What exactly is the white supremacist ideology? Who are the leaders of this movement and what do they advocate? Do they want to bring back segregation and/or slavery? Will they settle for sending all the black people to Africa or do they want genocide?

Is there any openly racist elected official in this country? What about appointed officials?

If racial hate crimes are so common, where are they? I cannot think of a case like Jussie Smollett’s that was not a hoax. And what exactly do we mean by “racial hate crime?” If someone scrawls a swastika on a bathroom wall at state college, is that a racial hate crime? How do you separate the hate crimes from the hoaxes and the “crime-crimes?”

For that matter, how do we define racism?

I have more questions, but my monthly Patriarchy luncheon is at noon so I gotta go.

I am revisiting Atlas Shrugged. I read it many years ago. Today I am watching the 3 part series on Amazon. I forgot that it was supposed to be in the future taking place in 2016.
Looking at today’s dem socialists, they really are not new and have been predicted but no one paid attention to our peril.

I was born in 1938 and remember a time during WW2 when my mom and I were walking down the street in Tampa Fla ( my dad was stationed there before he went overseas}. At that time if we were on the sidewalk, and a black was coming toward us, they had to get off the sidewalk until we passed. I remember my mom saying ” isn’t that stupid. White women have black women nurse their babies.” That is when I learned that racism is stupid and have never forgotten it.
Right now racism is being used as a useful tool. Makes many blacks victims, therefore they do not have to be responsible for their own lack of success. White guilt works to keep the gullible in line.
politicians profit off it and it keeps them in office.

    • John Denney says:

In the early 70s in Pensacola, my white friend Donny Thompson’s grandma told me that when she was young and had kids, she had milk, ” . . . all the way back here”, pointing under her arm. But a poor skinny black mom back then (1940s? 50s?) wasn’t producing milk, and asked her if she would please nurse her baby.
She did, and said it was so gratifying to see that scrawny, weak little baby plump up over the next few weeks. She and that little boy remained lifelong affectionate friends.

    • DeniseVB says:

My formative years were during the 50’s and 60’s and I never understood “hate”. I went to all white public schools and was never “allowed” to have a black or a jewish friend. This was Northern Virginia. I came from a “mixed” family too. Mom was a Republican and Dad a Democrat. Yet Dad was the “racist/anti-semitic” and Mom was the daughter of penniless immigrants and she blamed Dems for all the country’s problems. Not much political discussion in our family, *boom*. Though I loved Eisenhower like a grandpa, and JFK was that generation’s McDreamy.

Thinking back, my early Dem activism was all based on a lie from youth ? It certainly wasn’t, or is, the party of compassion and tolerance of now ? LOL.

Obama certainly set the great MLK accomplishments back a couple of generations.

    • Anthony says:

Ayn Rand should be required reading for K through 12. “Collectivism” as socialism was called back then, started getting traction in the 1920s. It required a person to completely erase all traces of personal identity (sound familiar, gender deniers?) This erasure of individualism reduces personal identity. One’s only purpose in life is to be just one of many fragments who’s only function is to serve the state.

No goals, no rewards, no consequences, no accomplishments, no personal identity; you are reduced to an insignificant disposable drone who will become discarded when they were no longer useful to the government. the only people to escape that fate were the ‘administrators’ at the top

      • helenk3 says:

yes it should be required reading. I kept thinking about backtrack and his “you didn’t build that” line. what you worked and made did not really belong to you, because you drove to work on a public road.

Another writer I enjoyed was Taylor Caldwell. she had no time for socialism either. One thing I remember is the richest man in town when asked for charity, told the people I will match what you raise. That did not make them happy, they thought because he was rich he should pay for ALL they needed and wanted.

        • Anthony says:

I was a fan of Taylor Calwell too. Her book “The Devil’s Advocate” may very well have been a prophecy.

          • helenk3 says:

More Than 100 House Dems: Our Healthcare Bill Will Outlaw Private Coverage, Eliminate Up to Two Million Jobs, and Cover Abortion

More than 100 House Democrats — nearly half of the new majority — have signed on to a new single-payer healthcare bill that supporters describe as “battle ready.” If by “battle ready,” they mean, “extremely controversial, deeply politically risky, and totally bereft of any acknowledgement of the proposal’s eye-poppingly exorbitant costs,” they’re undoubtedly correct.

Eliminate private coverage for the peons but congress critters will get gold service for life.

really, think old RBG would get the care she has if she was just some retired little old lawyer lady in the middle of flyover country or an old coal miner in Appalachia.

      • lyn says:

        • Mt.Laurel says:

I never switched my mother’s Medicare supplemental from the original indemnity style that she picked when she turned 65. The last few years of her life I had to pay the extra “fee” Obama care imposed in those who had health insurance that was considered too good.

      • DeniseVB says:

Whatever happened to the old rule that Congress and the federal govt must live by the laws they pass? They would all be on Obamacare. Same with immigration policy. Want open borders? Move the illegals to the districts and states of Reps/Sens that voted for open borders. Boy, that would shake up the votes on the floor 🙂

This doesn’t look good for Luke Perry, suffered a massive stroke and in a medically induced coma now. He’s only 52. The article mentioned “back problems” but worked out regularly? So I’m guessing possibly opiate related ? I had a teenaged daughter in the 90’s and 90210 was her soap opera addiction.

    • lateblum says:

Yes. I thought of dd#1 and her being hooked on 90210 back then. I don’t know if she knows about Perry. She’s in meetings all week in Seattle this week. Who knows when we’ll connect this week.
It is very sad that this has happened. And you’re right … it doesn’t look good for him.

      • DeniseVB says:

So massive stroke must mean his brain is pretty much jello? Sad 😦 Hate to admit, but I did get hooked on the show too.

        • lyn says:

It depends on the grading. My mother’s stroke was a 13-14, and she couldn’t swallow. She couldn’t speak, but she could give affirmative or negative groans. That’s how we knew she didn’t want to live like that.

Good grief, I’m easily entertained. Oh, I think Luke’s in that show based on the Archie comics? Tori Spelling seems to only make news when her husband leaves her, they get back together and have another baby. I think they’re up to a dozen kids now? 😛

In a closed-door session, a frustrated Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) lashed out at about two dozen moderates and pressured them to get on board. “We are either a team or we’re not, and we have to make that decision,” Pelosi said, according to two people present but not authorized to discuss the remarks publicly.

Liam Neeson: De Blasio’s sneak attack on carriage horses
    By LIAM NEESON

’m writing about Mayor de Blasio’s alarming attempt to destroy the most beloved industry in New York: the carriage-horse trade. It harkens back to a simpler, more innocent time and is a visual and even spiritual oasis in the city. As you surely know, years ago, the mayor, in an effort to pay back a real estate developer who infused his campaign with lots of cash, tried to ban this picturesque and iconic symbol of the city, so the developer could raze the state-of-the-art stables on the West Side and build yet another glass and steel skyscraper. That is what all this is about.

    https://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/ny-oped-neeson-horses-20190228-story.html

    • DeniseVB says:

Oh, I remember that. DB certainly ran on shutting down the “inhumane” carriage horse industry his first term. Got him a lot of humane people to support.vote for him, and developers who had their eye on the stables property to donate to him. Lose-Lose for those dumbasses. 😀

    • Anthony says:

It was all about the money from a donor. I grew up on CPS, and from an early age, fell in love with the carriage horses. First thing in the morning, I’d run to my bedroom window to see them.

They have been kept well by their owners, some of them being 3rd generation carriageowners, many of them putting their children through college from income made by taking tourists on a magical ride through Central Park. The stables were a few blocks away on 10th ave. Large stone structure, maintained impeccably. Heated and cooled.

One of Di Blasio’s biggest campaign donors wanted to build on the site where the stables are. Furthermore, Hizzonor tried and failed to replace the horses with antique cars (fuck your carbon footprint when some shady development gives you millions). Thankfully, that was overturned. Now, it seems like Mayor Sandinista found another way to screw the horse and carriage owners over.

    • Dora says:
