I seem to remember Trump getting a cold reception there a few years ago

Boy, did he change his tune. He started out as a Never Trumper.

    • DeniseVB says:

I’ve never been a Levin fan, he reminds me too much of Glenn Beck in shifting to where his bread is buttered. I hope to catch his Brandon interview tonight on a clip tomorrow. Kudos to Brandon for landing that gig. 😀

    • taw46 says:

He endorsed Cruz in the primary and he was a NeverTrumper. But after Trump won the Republican nomination, he endorsed him. He has been outspoken against what was done to Trump since early in 2017.

  2. DeniseVB says:

CPAC uninvited Milo to speak a year or so ago because of a bad joke about pedophila (he was a victim) but most thought it was because he was a fierce Trump supporter. Nice to see so many young conservatives included this year. Meanwhile,

    • Constance says:

Those were the good old days when Milo was uninvited. Conservatives were actually still worried about being attacked by media and the Left for something they did that wasn’t seen as PC. Now the media and the Left just make up BS narratives which they push 24/7 so it doesn’t matter what Conservatives do. Same with Trump, he might as well do whatever he wants as he will be criticized by media regardless of what he does.

      • DeniseVB says:

Milo’s still being uninvited. My problem with that is that he’s popular with the student groups that invite him, but the lefty groups shut him down. It’s not like they’re being forced to attend his speeches, they just don’t want him to exist. I was so glad PDJT mentioned cutting federal funding to those campuses who allow that kind of suppression. It’s just wrong.

  3. Anthony says:

After seeing clips of Bernie’s rally this morning, I was struck by the enthusiasm and commitment of his fans (🤢). I’ve also been struck by the hard left turn that the Democrat Socialists have taken and came up with a theory (It might be a conspiracy theory, but its a theory nonetheless…)

I’ve not noticed anything close to that kind of enthusiasm for ANY of the Dem/Soc nominees, not even for their chosen one Kama Sutra Harris (Thank you, Roseanne! 😀 ) and it dawned on me that the Dem/Soc still hasn’t recovered the Bernie voters from 2016.

Anyone besides me think that the Dem/Soc hard left turn might be an attempt to recover the voters they lost to Bernie in 2016? After all, AOC was funded by Bernie and Soros, and he’s enough of a sleaze ball to sell them out again. For another house. Or another sports car. Or another $6M.

    • Somebody says:

You could be on to something and yes he’d sell them out in a heartbeat.

Such a strategy would alienate even more moderates though, don’t you think? I wonder how many Bernie bros voted for DJT as opposed to Jill Stein, Gary Johnson or just sitting it out? Would wooing them back tilt the EC scales? Will going hard left alienate even more blue dogs? 🤔

It’s hard to imagine a true Clintonista ever voting for POTUS, but push hard enough left and maybe. I’m thinking of my sister, total fan girl of the Clintons both Bill and Hill. She despises DJT with a passion, however ideologically she’s more of a blue dog dem. She has no more patience with extreme leftism than I do…..hmmm, 2020 could get very interesting.

      • Anthony says:

I dunno about alienating moderates. Are there any more moderate democrats? I think the Blue Dogs have been purged for the most part.

The Democrats have successfully stoked the hatred and anger against President Trump for an entire two years now, and that has made some of my friends who used to be in their right minds certifiable lunatics. They don’t even know WHY they hate him; they just do as their told to do.

Also, our educational system has been grooming students (see ‘millennial voters’) to be socialist automatons for more than a decade now, so they’re most likely to vote for the Socialist candidate, even if he’s a crazy old fuck who once got kicked off a commune for being too lazy (talkin’ to you, Bernie…)

        • DeniseVB says:

I keep asking Why do you hate/want to impeach PDJT? I never get a reply. I don’t think I hated Obama as hard as they hate Trump, but I could give them many reasons why! I think my favorite was because Obama could care less about me (us), he’s only nice when he wants money or votes.

      • lateblum says:

You made me think about my sister. She loved obama; disliked Clinton; loathed PDJT and still does. She wouldn’t vote for PDJT if her life were to depend on it. And although she thinks Bernie is totes crazy, she’d vote for him if she had to. She would never vote R. And wouldn’t sit out any election.
In my family, I am most likely the only one who will (and have) vote R. The rest of them think they are open-minded, but are simply dead set against voting for a Republican. When they learned that I voted for a Republican for IL governor a few decades ago (Ogilvie), I thought they were going to have a novena dedicated to cure my apostasy.

        • elliesmom says:

I have lots of friends who would never vote for a Republican. For them, once the Democratic primaries are over, it’s just wait for November because the election decisions are over. Most of them live in solidly blue states so the election process supports their behavior. One of them has retired to Florida for half the year, and it astounds her that Republicans often win. She’s thought about staying in MA long enough each year so she can switch her voter registration back to a state where her “vote counts”. There’s absolutely no logic behind that except she wants to vote for the person she knows is going to win her state. I’d explain to her why her vote counts more in Florida, but hey, why give the Republicans a vote they have to cancel out? If she wants to vote blue in a solidly blue state, I’m not going to try to change her mind.

          • lateblum says:

Exactly! My across the hall neighbor also spends the entire winter – through May – in FL. She voices the same surprise and dismay to me when R wins in FL. I wonder if she and your friend know one another. Lol

          • Somebody says:

Oh please, please encourage her to make her vote count in MA!

    • lateblum says:

      Worth repeating.

”Anyone besides me think that the Dem/Soc hard left turn might be an attempt to recover the voters they lost to Bernie in 2016? After all, AOC was funded by Bernie and Soros, and he’s enough of a sleaze ball to sell them out again. For another house. Or another sports car. Or another $6M.”

Isn’t that what socialism – American style – is all about?

    • Constance says:

I think you are absolutely right. Dems haven’t seemed to figure out they might benefit from recovering the blue color deplorables and the PUMAs they lost in 2008.

    • Venus E. Lee says:

      Yep.
Bernie is running to get his base back into the fold & clear the field for Kamala. This time the DNC thinks by having a black woman who starts out spouting mostly the same socialist bullshit as Bernie, she will be able to hold onto Bernie’s base in a way Hillary could not.
In the end, Kamala will have the nomination and Bernie will have a 4th house.

      • Anthony says:

I’ll even go so far as to predict Bernie will endorse Kamaltoe at the last minute or as soon as the deed to the new house is in his name

    • DeniseVB says:

Bernie’s in Chicago tonight at the Navy Pier. If he can pack another crowd like Brooklyn’s, then he’s a stupid idiot for not running third party this time. But running for President sure pays better than being a President. 😀

Just flipping around the channels for a 10 min break and stumbled across Debbie Dingell’s interview with living corpse Chris Wallace (who will never be as good as his father). She was asked about the milion investigations into Trump and his family, and she said “We just have to keep going until we can build a case against him” She didnt even try to hide the fact that their only objective is to ruin the First Family.

I never wanted to tell someone to go fuck themselves as much as I did her at that moment. Instead, I’m making a package of gift cards, hotel receipts and pics of her husband with my friend’s aunt, who he was banging for about 20 years.

  12. lyn says:

Are Trump and his behavior different from that of past presidents?

Hanson: Yes and no. Ostensibly he is our first president without prior military or political experience, and acts in his words “new presidential” (tweeting endlessly, ad hominem attacks, too easy accessibility to the press, thin skinned, and non-ending campaign rallies). On the other hand, we have lost historical perspective in the age of a new 90 percent negative Trump media and historically ignorant journalists—given that past presidents like Kennedy, Johnson, and Clinton while in office were often reckless in their personal lives, and yet more protected by the media. If the personal behavior in the White House of even an FDR or the past associates of a steady Harry Truman were as well scrutinized and publicized as Trump’s, then we might have different views of such quite successful past presidents—and more perspective about Trump. The Internet and social media are force multipliers of these polarized times as we saw with the Covington kids, and the Jussie Smollett psychodrama.

He is very relevant and is held in esteem by the Dems and now, by the Dem-Socialist party. With A.N.S.W.E.R. behind him, and more than likely Soros, MoveOn and other far left wing groups, he’ll continue to be one of the go-to Hollywood types the Left is so proud of.

Same here, Tim. I think Woods is bright and witty and often say what I’d love to have said myself. So do most everyone who posts here as well. And that’s why I follow TCHers, and why I follow them on Twitter.

Too bad you can’t shovel it into her swanky apartment in the Navy Yard complex where the poor dear now resides.

My son has a video of his doxies in Winter Park, CO after 18 inches of fresh powder, I told him to please make it public so I could share it. So cute, they looked like small furry dolphins popping up and down in an ocean of snow.

    • Constance says:

That is awful, I had to shovel snow twice this year and that was too much. All the east coast/mid west transplants were ranting in the neighborhood blogs “what is wrong with you people, why don’t you shovel your walks and driveway?” Well because we don’t have snow shovels and the hardware stores didn’t have any either. I had to order a snow shovel, windshield scraper and pet proof sidewalk salt from Amazon and it took 2 weeks to get here. We have had cold but sunny weather in Seattle for the last 2 weeks. It’s been around 50 during the day. If it doesn’t rain soon I’m going to have to hook up the hose and water my plants.

  23. Mothy67 says:

Can twitter please do a day without AOC. So sick of every other post being about that horse face.
No one is talking about sanders and his dangerous platform because all the focus is on that thing. Meanwhile he’s holding massive rallies, but everyone is looking at the shiny penny.

I wonder what would have happened if killary had run with sanders. Other than the most fantastic, albeit misspelled, bestest name on Earth what did Tim Kaine bring to the table. The slovenly pot-bellied pedophile vote has long been a dimocrat stronghold.

    • lyn says:

I bet the haters spend at least $2 billion trying to take Trump down in 2020.

      • Constance says:

And that is money straight into the pockets of the MSM. Print advertising and TV advertising and paid for articles in otherwise failing magazines. Trump should short circuit the media and push through a mandatory OPTION of al la carte service from cable providers and satellite providers and send the whole MSM into chaos. I would so enjoy watching that go down.

      Great read, BTW.

Democrats are the racists, because they failed to lift minorities up when Oblahma was president. Now they are the hate supremacists, and there are tons more of them than our country’s measly 5,000 white supremacists of which President Trump is NOT. I really hate Democrats.

      Great find!

      13. One thing that is also universally held is this: how can ANYONE not want Trump to succeed in helping deliver the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula? Today, I showed a video to a Vietnamese friend of Jim Acosta basically looking gleeful that a deal had not been reached.
      14. Within about a nanosecond, my friend understood that Trump has a point. If you can’t universally agree on THAT, CNN obviously has an ominous agenda whereby dislike of the POTUS is WAY more important than other people’s lives.
      15. My friend was appalled that someone who was on CNN would conduct himself in that manner. In fact, he said he didn’t want to turn on CNN ever again. I told him he wouldn’t be missing much. Keep in mind this is THEIR lives that are in the balance.
