Friday Open Thread

I can’t figure out what the hell is wrong with me. Maybe I need to start taking anti-depressants again. But if I make an appointment at the clinic I won’t see the doctor until sometime in May and I’ll feel all better by then.

About Myiq2xu

If I had known this was the end of the world I would have brought refreshments.

But this is how the Mexician drug cartels run rampant, open and notorious.
MS-13 cut from the same cloth.

Beto land is also a “safe” place to cross into Mexico according to the RHINO mayor of the sanctuary village called El Paso. Collateral damage when they fire. People have been hit at the market, on the street etc. That d*ckless pos mayor did not sit in on the MAGA rally that was held by POTUS. He’s a GOP guy. Cartel money has long been funneled into politics. Beto’s replacement is about as corrupt as Kim Foxx. Probably worse. Where does the money come from? You guessed it.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

The various gangsters, be they hateful leftovers of the SS/Nazis like Georgie or scumbag Cartels, handing out the money hates everyone and thinks every country should be a shithole and anyone that stands in their way should be eliminated.

So the #MeToo whinging ninnies had no problem with Joe’s inappropriate touching of women and young girls, and even young boys, for 8 years? This is bullsh*t.

  3. Cisco says:

I find it amazing that cartel corruption money is spread just about everywhere in S. America, but it stops at our border.
Not one American politician is receiving money.

and I am 21 years old and look like Linda Darnell

      • Mt.Laurel says:

I always smile when I see your Linda Darnell reference.

      • DeniseVB says:

I follow TCM’s fan group on FB and someone just posted “the last interview with Linda Darnell” before her tragic death in a fire. I will always think of you when I see her name, though she was still very beautiful at 41 when she died, it just made me sad to read about it.

This will go away as soon as Joe drops out of the race.

    • taw46 says:

Oh dear, someone wants Creepy Uncle Joe out of the race before he even gets in….. Funny, this was ok with the left for years, “oh, that’s just Joe being Joe”. Now that he is polling high, must knock him out. For Kamala?

Awwww. Reminds me when I brought a kitten home for the kids after dh left for a 6 month deployment. He was never a fan of cats (we had 3 dogs at the time), so my plan was how could he come home and refuse the kids of their new pet?

Well, we learned why he was no fan of cats, he was deathly allergic to them. I mean, chest tightening, stopped breathing kind of allergy. Whoa. “It’s me or the cat, he declared !” He spent his first night home sleeping outside while we discussed our choices. Since we didn’t want to become homeless, we had no choice but to rehome the sweetest kitty I’ve ever known in my life.

After 30+ years since then, I’ve been able to end all arguments with “I wish I chose the cat”.

OMG, Denise hubby slept outside not the 🐱 wow! I had one those choices early in our marriage too, hubby or a Beagle named Gidget. She did NOT like hubby and the feeling was quite mutual. She used to wait until he fell asleep, climb in the bed, straddle him, pee on him then jump off the bed and run hide. She’d usually hide under my son’s bed or daughter’s crib, hubby dare not wake the babies.

She chewed up every pair of his shoes, chewed and ripped his pants, belts, on and on. She’d also leave a trail of turds on the floor on his side of the bed or if he didn’t close the bathroom door all the way she’d leave turds in front of the tub so he’d step in them when he got out of the shower 😂

We had her about 9 months, she was fantastic with my son so gentle. She behaved for me, was fiercely loyal and protective of all of us, except hubby. She alerted me to a creepster peeking in the window one time and if I had let her out she would’ve attacked him. She went after the sheriff deputy that responded…….but no love for hubby. We lived out in the country at the time, a neighbor a few miles away took her. She literally went to live on a farm 😂. They were proud to have her, pure bred, gorgeous dog. She lived out her life there, we would visit on occasion and she always remembered us or at least seemed to.

klown, what’s going on with you?
    mebbe we can help?

    • DeniseVB says:

I’m almost old enough to be myiqy’s mom (if I had him in middle school 😉 ), so here’s my momism, start a walkies routine. I know it does help me mentally, fresh air and soothing oldies on my Walkman local am station. Around the block is all I need. (Ok, it’s 2 miles around my lake block). I sorta recognized that symptom, it really helps me.

Exercise is good for depression. A friend of mine was in therapy and there was something to do with sleep cycles and hormones related to depression. The doctor had him get up the same time every morning and get two hours of sunshine, either by going outside or by opening curtains, he had to sit in the sunshine. He also suggested exercise, which was difficult as my friend lived in Canada.

He had to work at setting a schedule. He was allowed a nap the first couple weeks, but had to be up for so many hours and couldn’t nap so many hours before bedtime and nap was limited to 2 hours, preferably 1-1.5 hours.

Sounds strange, but damn me if it didn’t help. By spring time my friend’s schedule was adjusted and he started taking walks. Soon enough he walked to a gym, where he would swim laps, next thing you know he’d work out and then swim laps. By summer he was a different person, totally not kidding. I was shocked that resetting his internal clock, getting 2 hours or more of sunshine and exercising could make that much difference, but it did.
