Tiger Woods goes off the Democrat reservation accepts award from Trump, triggers unhinged racists critics.

Plenty of athletes are refusing to stand with Trump – not Tiger Woods.

A growing list of athletes have declined invitations from President Donald Trump to visit the White House as a stance against his racist and anti-immigrant rhetoric. Sadly, Tiger Woods isn’t one of them.

Can you be more specific? What rhetoric?

The golf legend was due at the White House Monday to accept the Presidential Medal of Freedom for winning the Masters last month in what marked a career comeback for the 43-year-old after a decade of injuries and losses. He won’t be the first athlete to garner such an accolade. Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Arthur Ashe, Jackie Robinson and Arnold Palmer are among those bestowed the honor since President John F. Kennedy created the award in 1963.

Mr. Woods made an indelible mark on the sport of golf and certainly is as legendary and deserving of the honor as the athletes who came before him.

Despite this, we wish Mr. Woods would have taken a stand against hatred and declined the award given the racial and ethnic rift Mr. Trump has widened and exploited in the country since taking office. (As we have noted many times before, hate crimes have unmistakably risen under Mr. Trump.)

Real hate crimes, or just the Jussie Smollett kind?

Just because he is famous doesn’t mean Mr. Woods has any obligation to be a spokesman against racism in America. He did indeed train all his life to play golf, not lead a modern day Civil Rights movement. But his position as a star athlete, particularly as an African-American in a sport that has historically been overwhelmingly white, makes him a role model in this regard whether he likes it or not. He could use this opportunity to raise awareness of an issue that has surely impacted his life, as well as those of many of his relatives and ancestors. Or he could at least decline to allow the president to co-opt his glory with a White House photo-op.

Is Mr. Woods oblivious, or does he just not care that the president regularly demonizes minorities and emboldens those who hate?

Again, can you be more specific?

Give us an example or two of how President (yours, mine, and ours) Trump “demonizes minorities.” You should have no problem coming up with examples since he does it “regularly.” I’ll wait.

{Jeopardy! theme}

Okay, I waited.

According to the Democrats and the media (BIRM), white supremacists can be easily manipulated into doing just about anything with just a few subtle words and/or images. (Apparently no one told Madison Avenue.) We know this because some Leftists have spent years decoding the Secret Language of White Supremacy. This language is so secret that even most white supremacists don’t know what it is. If it were not for Leftists I would not know about all the racist dogwhistles that influence the decisions I make.

People may feel any way their party wants them they want to feel about Trump, but facts are facts – black unemployment is down, bLack employment is up. Black family income is up, black poverty is down. Black people got the same tax cut as everyone else. The Sentencing Reform Act that Trump signed helped a disproportionate number of black inmates. So where is the racism?

It should also be pointed out that Tiger has known Donald Trump for years. They have golfed together and done business together. Tiger formed his opinion of President Trump long before the Democrats transformed The Donald into a cross-burning Nazi. The fact is that some people assumed that Tiger Woods had an obligation to act a certain way because of his skin color. I’m pretty sure there is a word for that.

Friday night some Red Sox fans dropped a huge Trump 2020 banner over the railing from the upper deck at Fenway Park. Places like Yahoo are reporting “angry fans” tore it down and applauded themselves for doing it. Friends of mine who were at the game, sitting in that area, and definitely not Trump supporters, tell the story differently. Security removed the banner because it blocked the view of the people sitting below. The cheers were from people who support Trump because security waved the banner before they carefully folded it up. The news media apparently doesn’t want us to know Trump has some support, and it’s growing, in Boston.

Isn’t that sad 😦 I only saw one msm link that showed security folding the flag, meh, fans ripping it down, let’s go with that.

Not wanting to get pregnant is a perfectly valid reason to avoid sex. When I was young, I really didn’t want to have kids, really didn’t want to get an abortion, and really didn’t want to worry about putting a baby up for adoption. I was celibate until into my early 20’s and was then the world’s most obsessive user of birth control.

I am not sure which is worse the ones following blindly with no clue or the ones who know they are off the beam but just will not pull away to a more reasonable stance. the hate of anyone not in 200% agreement burns hotter than hades and they justify the crazy by saying they know what is best for others and we need to be more accepting that socialism is the only way to go.

Senator urges U.S. Dept. Of Justice to Launch @Facebook Antitrust Probe

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Facebook Inc quickly rejected a call from co-founder Chris Hughes on Thursday to split the world’s largest social media company in three, while lawmakers urged the U.S. Justice Department to launch an antitrust investigation.

Facebook has been under scrutiny from regulators around the world over data sharing practices as well as hate speech and misinformation on its networks. Some U.S. lawmakers have pushed for action to break up big tech companies as well as federal privacy regulation.

“We are a nation with a tradition of reining in monopolies, no matter how well intentioned the leaders of these companies may be. Mark’s power is unprecedented and un-American,” Hughes, a former college roommate of Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, wrote in a lengthy New York Times opinion piece.

Facebook’s social network has more than 2 billion users. It also owns WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, each used by more than 1 billion people. Facebook bought Instagram in 2012 and WhatsApp in 2014.

Facebook rejected Hughes’ call for WhatsApp and Instagram to be made into separate companies, and said the focus should instead be on regulating the internet. Zuckerberg will be in Paris on Friday to discuss internet regulation with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Father Pfleger has been stirring controversy in Chicago for a long time. The Obama mentor is a close ally of Jeremiah Wright and his radical leftist politics are about as ugly. Now yet another cardinal is forced to grapple with a Pfleger controversy.

On May 11th, Milo addressed Alternative for Germany (AfD) and Christian Democratic Union (CDU) MPs, journalists and alternative media bloggers in Berlin about press freedoms and Islam. The talk was originally scheduled to take place in the German Parliament, and had to be moved after complaints from leftists and Muslims. YouTube cut the live feed ten minutes into the speech, citing “hateful content” and issuing a strike against the channel hosting it.

      • John Denney says:

My son’s a drummer. His first set was electronic, and he played with headphones, so all we heard was muffled tapping, like big slow drops of rain on the roof.
That set had a feature that counted the total number of drumpad hits. When he sold it and got a “real” drum kit, the count was over a million. He was real good by then, so we and the neighbors didn’t mind when he played on the “real” kit. 🙂

I had a friend in college who lived next door. He practiced drums (mostly jazz) for hours daily. There were moments that I could *hear* the music in my head; he was that good. “Take Five” immediately comes to mind. He is now a drummer for a large city symphony orchestra. He also teaches. I hope this girl is able to reach her dreams of becoming a musician as my friend and neighbor did.
