Putin on the Ritz Open Thread

Someone in the last thread pointed out that Theresa May (tfbwy) and Angela Murkin are both childless women and they are both disasters as leaders. Is there a connection?

Could they be freemartins?

Most people are unaware that Angela Merkel was a real hottie when she was younger. She was chosen as Miss Red Army in 1972.

If Nadler dies it would sure help the swamp. Trump killed him garbage.
Would wager we see at least one arkancide in the next few weeks.

Isn’t that a form of Arkancide where the victim is surreptitiously Scalia-fied?

Just cuz ole Nadz had his gut stapled doesn’t mean a thing. The arteries and brain are filled to the brim with fatbergs. I’m going with a push off the ole health cliff.

Notice that Mr. Mueller declined to testify before the House Judiciary Committee last week. Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) was a fool to invite him. Did he not know that minority members of his committee get to ask questions too?

          snip

The plot they concocted to get rid of him failed. And, yes, it was a plot, even a coup. And they fucked it up magnificently, leaving a paper trail as wide as Interstate-95. Now all that paper is about to fall over the District of Columbia like radioactive ash, turning many current and former denizens of rogue agencies into the walking dead as they embark on the dismal journey between the grand juries and the federal prisons.

While I don’t think a woman needs to be a mother to be a good leader, it is the single most life changing event for a woman.

    • Venus E. Lee says:

Leader of a company or firm? Yes, a woman who isn’t a mother can be a great leader.
Leader of a country the decisions of which affect the future of the people? A woman who isn’t a mother has no idea how to properly calculate because she doesn’t know the love a mother has for her child. This is proven by the actions of May, Merkle, and the New Zealand prime minister.

    Clarity that is often overlooked…
This article was written by a college student by the name of Alyssa Ahlgren, who’s in grad school for her MBA. It’s a short article but definitely worth a read.
“College Student: My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us
I’m sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of Democratic candidates calling for policies to “fix” the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around. I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook’s, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we’ve become completely blind to it. Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don’t give them a second thought. We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty. One. Times. Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful.
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, “An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity.”
Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in. When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I’ve ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided. My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let’s just say I didn’t have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they’ve never seen prosperity, and as a result, elect politicians dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism. Why? The answer is this, my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn’t live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or see the rise and fall of socialism and communism. We don’t know what it’s like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don’t have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it’s spreading like a plague.”

He was really morbidly obese for a long time & had a stomach bypass. Being obese wrecks your health and the surgery isn’t that good for you either. So, he’s in a bad spot, healthwise.
It looked like low blood sugar –obesity & type 2 diabetes go hand in hand, but it could be something worse.
      Add on stress and age?
      I hope he feels better.

Yesterday, the Chicago Cubs game preempted Jeopardy and so,I didn’t know what happened on Thursday. (ABC in Chicago did show the program at 2:00 am this morning, but oddly enough, I was asleep.) The Cubs played again during the day again today, but a different station televised it. So I did get to watch it today. I won’t be a spoiler.

      • Mothy67 says:

What time does it air there.
        I am watching right now.

It airs on ABC-Chicago at 3:30 p.m. Mon-Fri. Chicago is (Central) Daylight Savings time.
Sorry for the late response. I’ve been gone all day today (Saturday) and wasn’t really online much later yesterday (Friday).
When does it air in your neck of the woods???

John Cusack is one of the disappointments of my community. He had such promise as an actor. He comes from a family of successful actors. But he did not meet expectations. I wonder if that is why he has become a mini-Rob Reiner. He must have been easily led and even more easily misled after the defeat of HRC. If you read the tweets in the article, you will see he unleashed craziness after being criticized for remaining seated during a tribute to US military at the Cubs game yesterday. You will see how completely off the rails he has become. He blocked me a looong time ago after a mild comment about his utter hatred of PDJT. It seems his blocking is even more quickly triggered now.

Found WaPo’s raw video of NancyP’s press conference where the “doctored” video originates. She starts at about the 49 minute mark and goes for several minutes. Just typical Nancy mumbling, but I could see where editing could make it sound worse, lol, but it’s all her….

    • taw46 says:

This one was edited, video still the same. The video of her in the blue dress was “doctored”, slowed down, and that was the one Rudy retweeted. He has since deleted it. Even that one, played at regular speed, makes her look drunk or drugged. I’ve watched several of her over the last few months, and there’s no need to doctor them. As you said, it’s all her! Anyway, this is the one Trump tweeted:

The full extent of Obama’s actions against the press are only now coming to light.
