It Is NOT RACIST To Point Out The Truth – Baltimore Is A Democrat-Controlled Shithole

Democrats are always claiming that President Donald Trump lies all the time, but when he says something that is indisputably true they totally loose their shit.

This is written by some Leftist douchenozzle at the Baltimore Sun:

People who refuse to see or hear Trump’s racism in attack on Baltimore are beyond reach, but here goes

People who support President Donald Trump, no matter what he says or does, are beyond reach with reason and facts. To continue to support this president, you have to either agree with every bit of what he says and does or put yourself in a kind of bubble where you never hear his racism and never see his ignorance and cruelty. For you, Trump is all about conservative judges and a strong economy. Life is good, and so what if the president is a high-grade bigot?

And that explains why a tweet like this shows up: “Do you always jump on the ‘Race’ wagon? Did you hear Trump say anything about race? where do you demtards get this prejudice, xenophobic, misogynist, narcissistic crap?? you like to perpetuate lies, Anything i missed?”

This tweet was in response to others critical of Trump for his Saturday morning attack on Rep. Elijah Cummings and the conditions in his congressional district, which includes Baltimore. The language Trump used on Twitter to describe Cummings’ district was similar to the disparaging screeds I often receive from suburban white men; they generally regard Baltimore as a violent hellhole in full collapse, not worth further federal funding, and they blame 50-plus years of Democratic dominance for the mess. Some of the people I hear from use racial profanities to describe the city while others express their hostility in milder ways.

And “hostility” is no exaggeration.

Now, as to Brad, the writer of that the aforequoted tweet: No, I don’t always jump on the “Race” wagon; I point out and condemn racism as it’s warranted. And, when it comes to Trump, there’s a long history of racism; that is an established fact, and that fact has been reported and memorialized by a diligent U.S. press countless times.

Established fact? I dunno about that. My paternal grandfather was originally from Missouri, so I have “Show Me” in my DNA. Show Me where it has been established as a fact that Donald J. Trump is a racist.

Why do I hear crickets?

Baltimore IS a violent hellhole. Baltimore IS in full collapse. And why is any of that the federal government’s problem?

So, yeah, Baltimore has had a long spell of violent crime, and we are per capita one of the most violent cities in the country. It has been a miserable fact of life here for a long time, the last four years particularly. And yes, we have rats and we have trash.

So you admit that Trump was correct. No, no, that wasn’t a question.

Things have been particularly bad the last four years? But Trump hasn’t been in office that long. So why four years? Did something happen four years ago?

Ohhhh, yeah, that’s right – four years ago some lowlife drug dealer managed to break his own neck while hogtied in the back of a Paddy wagon. Then the Baltimore DA charged eight cops with murdering Freddie Gray despite any evidence to show that it was anything except a tragic accident.

Then the good citizens of Baltimore decided to hold a peaceful march so that they could protest and petition their elected officials for redress of grievances. Unfortunately, the good citizens of Baltimore were unable to hold their march due to the large numbers of rioters and looters out in the streets.

Then the mayor of Baltimore declared that “Kids will be kids” and told the police to stand down so that the kids could blow off a little steam. That’s when the 2015 Mother of the Year showed up and demonstrated some old school parental guidance techniques on her son.

After the first few cops that were tried for Freddie Grey’s death were acquitted, the charges against the rest were dismissed. But the damage was done – Baltimore cops now knew that they could not trust their employer so they opted for the “Mall Cop” strategy of law enforcement – observe and report but never get involved.

You can’t be sued for false arrest if you never arrest anyone. You can’t be charged with excessive use of force if you never use any force. If the bad guys want to run, let them go. If the bad guys want to fight, run. If you see a crime in progress, look the other way. If you are dispatched to a crime in progress, drive slow. But keep cashing those paychecks.

I know what you are thinking – what in the hell does any of that have to do with Trump being a racist?

The answer is “Nothing.”

But we do not need the president of the United States to rub it all in our faces, especially a president of a political party that has done as little as possible over the last half-century to relieve us of these problems.

When I hear people slam Cummings and other Democrats for the conditions in Baltimore, I always answer by asking: OK, but where are the Republicans? You can sit on your duff in ‘burbia and knock Democrats all you like because you have no other choice. The city has not had a Republican mayor since 1967, and the GOP has had little presence in the city for decades. Republican President Ronald Regan shifted funding priorities away from cities. Maryland’s Republican governor, elected the year before the Freddie Gray uprising of 2015, had some big chances to help the city after the day of riots, and didn’t. Trump? Has he even been here?

It’s “Ronald Reagan,” not “Ronald Regan.” But okay, I’m not a grammar Nazi or a spelling fascist.

Half a century is fifty years. Who was the mayor of Baltimore 50 years ago?

Thomas D’Alesandro III.

Well, who the hell is that?

He is the son of Thomas D’Alesandro Jr.

And he is?

Nancy Pelosi’s father.

The D’Alesandro Family are Democrats. Any resemblance to the Corleone Family is purely coincidental.

Nancy learned about machine politics at her daddy’s knee. Her brother defeated the last GOP mayor of Baltimore. It’s been nothing but Democrats ever since. And the goober who wrote this editorial makes it sound like the Republicans are to blame for all the problems in Baltimore because they haven’t won an election there in 50 years.

So when he teed off on Cummings, Trump wasn’t coming from a place of caring. He certainly wasn’t coming from the Bernie Sanders place. (Sanders visited Baltimore in 2016 and likened the level of poverty here to a Third World country, calling it a disgrace.)

It’s clear by now that Trump only cares about his #MAGA base of support, the people who ignore his racism and cruelty, or relish it. His attack on Cummings was an attack on a black congressman who represents, in part, a majority African-American city, and a city with a host of problems that, with his tweet, Trump exploited for political gain.

So Bernie Sanders called Baltimore a shithole, but that was okay because “It’s different when we do it.” But it’s an established fact that Donald Trump doesn’t care. /sarc

No one who lives in Baltimore is happy with the state of the city. We have people being shot and killed all the time, even as cranes and construction workers deliver new, classy places for people to live, even as dozens of nonprofits do the hard work of trying to save and improve lives, even as a new police commissioner tries to stem crime while making his officers effective and trusted. The violence is a ten-ton burden we all feel here. It is a drag on the city’s progress. Trump used it as an axe against us.

But his worst offense came in this phrase: “No human being would want to live there.” That’s as deeply racist a comment as he has ever uttered or tweeted. It says that the 600,000-plus of us who live here must be subhuman, or in some way defective human beings. (“Demtards”?) That he said this about a struggling city with a majority African-American population caps Trump’s persistent and ugly effort to play the race card as a re-election strategy. And, if you don’t see that by now, I can’t help you.

Wait . . . lolwut?

No one who lives in Baltimore is happy with the state of the city.

“No human being would want to live there.”

Lemme fix that for you:

No human being is happy with the state of the city.

No one who lives in Baltimore wants to live there.

No one wants to live in a shithole. But millions of people do live in shitholes. How is this possible you might ask?

It is possible because the people who live in shitholes don’t want to live in a shithole, they just don’t have much choice.

Trump is not a racist and he doesn’t play the race card. Former Occupant Obama played the race card, and the media not only let him do it, they helped him and covered for him. “Playing the race card” is essentially an accusation of racism that is used to defend oneself from otherwise deserved criticism or consequences. It’s more of a shield than a sword.

In Former Occupant Obama’s case, he rarely played the card himself. He preferred to have someone else deal if from the bottom of the deck. And who was one of his favorite race card dealers?

Elijah Cumstain.

Old Elijah has carried a lot of water for Obama and the Democrats over the years. That is partly because he sits in a “safe” seat that was racially gerrymandered for Parren Mitchell in 1973. When Mitchell retired that seat then went to Frizzell Gerald Gray, aka Kweisi Mfume, the former head of the NAAPOC (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People of Color.) When Queasy left Congress to run the NAAPOC in 1996, Cumstain took his place. The occupant of that seat typically gets 75+% of the votes.

When the House voted to find AG Eric Holder in Contempt of Congress Elijah Cumstain got up and sanctimoniously denounced the vote as partisan politics and said the bill was a threat to our Constitution.

When the House voted to find AG William Barr in Contempt of Congress Elijah Cumstain got up and sanctimoniously proclaimed that they were defending the Constitution and that anyone who didn’t vote “Yes” was putting partisanship above the national interest.

I can’t remember which hearing it was but Elijah Cumstain got all teary-eyed because of the way the GOP was besmirching the honor and reputation of one of Obama’s henchmen.

According to Democrats and their cheerleaders in the media, any criticism of Elijah Cumstain is ipso facto proof of racism.

I say that the Democrats and their cheerleaders in the media can go fuck themselves.

I just saw Baltimore listed as number one a few days ago but it was not the FBI’s list. it was from some living well site – top ten places NOT to live. Baltimore is on a lot of lists for being a no go zone and, unfortunately, has been been for years. I was busy searching for info on Montgomery County’s slide into the same hell hole and this was days before PT’s tweets about the Cummings district.

I know I have told you all, many times, that I am from Baltimore, born and raised. I can remember going downtown as a kid, in safety, with a group of other kids, to see a movie, or shop. There were black neighborhoods adjacent to white neighborhoods, that looked just like the white ones, and you could walk through any of them, on the way home from school.I

It breaks my heart, to see what is happening to my once Charming City. It’s true, there are still nice neighborhoods, in the city, but they are fewer, and shrinking. My brother and sister still live in the home I grew up in, but the neighborhood has changed. You don’t go out at night, there.

But the section of town, that is Cummings district, you don’t want to even drive through by accident.
Children, last winter, in schools in Baltimore city, had no heat, and had to keep their coats on, during their classes. That should have been the last straw, for city residents, but evidently, it wasn’t.
Cummings, and the Dims running Baltimore, should be in jail.

    • Constance says:

If Trump can embarrass Democrats in to cleaning up the cities they run he will have done a great favor for all the people of every race who still live in the cities.

      • Myiq2xu™ says:

The best thing that can happen to cities is gentrification. The government doesn’t have to do a thing except stay out of the way. People come in, buy old properties and fix them up, all at their own expense! In most places, increased property values mean increased tax revenues. And the people moving in will have better educations, better jobs, more money, and will be far less likely to commit crimes.

If people with jobs are moving in and people without jobs are moving out, that is a net gain for the city.

So what do local governments do?. They subsidize poverty and oppose gentrification!

        • helenk3 says:

Baltimore did that at one time. You buy a house very cheap fix it up and plan to live in it for a certain number of years

          • swanspirit says:

You could buy a house for $1.00. I know people who did it. You had to sign a contract to fix it up, and some really amazing homes came out of that program.

        • DeniseVB says:

My dd moved to Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood to open her bike shop and live. It was the up and coming hipster neighborhood and still affordable, and the locals hated gentrification. Her storefront was bombarded with raw eggs for the first few nights, but “she persisted”. She never really felt threatened since she picked a location next to the precinct police hdqtrs and won hearts and minds of local kids by fixing their bike chains and putting air in their tires for free. She lasted 8 years, it was the taxes and rent that drove her out, not the neighborhood.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I remember it from when I was young. We visited DC area several times a year and Dad often did a side trip to Baltimore. I (and many others) use to head to Baltimore several times a year. Always a fun day trip when babysitting kids for the day. However I have not been to Baltimore for anything other than work related meetings in years. As I said, the policies in MC are steering it in the exact same direction – off the cliff. And they have no clue.

This is the same neighbor who had a reception for “Luke and Laura” after a General Hospital wedding watch party. What a crazy, fun person she was, we’re still BFF’s, on opposite coasts now. • Constance says:

In this part of the year Seattle has cruise ships that stop downtown so any place a tourist wants to go will be safer and cleaner. They have put locks that have to be opened with the magnetic stripe on your parking garage ticket a lot of places and that really helps. The Pike Place Market garage used to stink so bad you could hardly get out of it without puking but now it’s fine because you need a parking receipt to get in. The court houses are concentrated in one area that has nothing of interest to visitors. We do have something like 300 unfilled openings for police officers currently. The outbreaks of illness among the homeless/addicts are not publicized but Hepatitis and AIDs had been spreading. We had one “sleep it off” addict facility but the landlord pulled the lease and sold the property so now we have none. Last time I was at Pike Place Market they seemed to have a private police force of in shape, no nonsense, primarily native Americans who actually patrolled. I don’t go in the parks alone. My daughter works by just south of the downtown art museum and I worry about her getting too and from the bus/light rail but once on the light rail there are enforcement people everywhere.

      • Constance says:

I didn’t know we had “Clean Team” people but that’s a good idea. Most of the city council has resigned or is not running for reelection or the ones who are running have seriously experienced and competent challengers. So we are expecting 7 (of 9) new council members by the end of the year. It is a jungle primary and voting ends August 6th, all Washington elections are by mail in ballots only. My guess is the 2 council members who are running will not make it through the jungle primary and that should be apparent the second week in August. Larry Gossett is a King County council member who is up for reelection and has a guy who seems to be running to his left and also Girmay Zahilay a local boy who is the son of Ethiopian refugee parents and a local attorney. I hope Girmay wins.

What he didn’t mention is that because the drug deal took place on school grounds (at night and at the agents’ request) the 18-year-old kid who sold the crack was facing a mandatory 20-year sentence. That meant he would be 38 when he got out.

Somehow that did not seem right.

I’m certain those speakers/authors are donating most of their earnings to the black communities in the cities where they appear. /sarcasm

Oh wow! Is there a way to clone this man?

    • Mothy67 says:

He’s half Italian and half Iranian. Posted about a supremacist book, but dissed mixed marriages with Mexicans, and called white people twats. No known motive or how the gun was acquired, but everyone is blaming everyone else. Would be funny if it were not for the tragedy.
Poor first night debaters aren’t going to have time to get staff to write the correct response to any question. You know they won’t wait for the facts.

Gilroy is just up the road from us. Last night we closely followed the idiotic shooting of multiple shots into that huge crowd of festival goers. Until all the details are finally released, I’m gonna reserve comment.

    • lateblum says:

One of the stories that I heard this morning on the radio is that he cut his way through a fence on the edge of the festival grounds to avoid going through metal detectors at the entrances. It seems he was focused on killing as many people as he could.

      • Myiq2xu™ says:

The cops didn’t give him time to complete his evil plan.

The news media seems to finally realize that they are part of the problem and they aren’t posting the shooters’ names and faces over and over for days afterward. For crazy people, infamy is as good or better than fame.

Wish I thought of that at the Inaugural, it would have saved me hours on line 😉

    • John Denney says:

It was a gun free zone; everyone had their purses and backpacks inspected.

It was a defenseless, target-rich environment.

Victims and families should sue that their 2nd Amendment Right was denied, leaving them defenseless as the venue failed to provide adequate security.

  32. DeniseVB says:

LOL, isn’t this how socialism works?

    • John Denney says:

Americans are those who hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with certain unalienable Rights, that among these Rights are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
Americans unite to defend everyone’s Person, Property, and Liberty. Sometimes that requires force of arms, to which Americans also have a Right.
Americans prosper by individual Can-Do Attitude, Diligence, Continuous Learning, and Trustworthiness rooted in love for one’s neighbor, coinciding with the Lord’s command.

If you are not part of that, we owe you nothing.

      • John Denney says:

        Let me amend that.

If you’re not a part of that, you’re merely a guest, unless you oppose that, which makes you a domestic enemy.
In any case, we owe you nothing.

Can you imagine the splodey heads if the GOP ticket in 2024 was Haley/Grenell running on accomplishments. A woman of color and a gay man.

    • Constance says:

I love that combination. I’d love to see a Republican woman become the first woman President.
