I don’t think I’m telling you anything you don’t all already know when I say that besides being corrupt, Schumer is a stupid man.

Every time I see that, i sit s little taller and I think about what her spine will be like in ~ 50 years. I think that about all our gymnasts and figure skaters and other athletes. The jolts their spines (and other body parts) take must be horrific.
        And yes. She is amazing.

After 30 years in the Marine Corps and 20 building decks, dh wore out two hips, a shoulder, a wrist and a big toe(the toe has a titanium rod in it). He also was a runner and weightlifter. Our fingers are hoping cortisone treatments will keep his knees working for a while 🙂 I, the couch potato, still has all her orginial parts, lol.

    Two options:

    1. She’s lying and it didn’t happen, or at least it didn’t happen like that.
    2. Her and her friends just went off on a couple people for looking at them.

So this couple is sitting there looking the way they are facing. One of the group decides that the woman’s facial expression is anger. Maybe the woman has RBF. Anyhoo, one of her group is glaring back, The woman, who actually was lost in thought and wasn’t staring before, is staring now. A staring contest ensues. The couple is confronted when her friend decided to take it up a notch.

When the woman is accused of racism she smiles and stops arguing. And this is evidence of oppression. All that woman did was look at them. Maybe.

When I saw my first full burka (with the tiny screen over the eyes), I couldn’t not stare. Her male companion was eating away and she just sat there with her hands folded in her lap. I just remember thinking how are our feminists not upset about these outfits? The hijab doesn’t bother me.

He could still be alive. Rescued by the FBI who he worked for, gathering dirt for leverage on powerful men so the FBI could control the country/world. I find the fact that someone was parading around with his supposedly dead body, so it could be photographed, completely “off”. Have you ever seen a dead body in a nursing home or hospital or any institution were you know dead bodies occur? No, because they have discrete protocols for dealing with them so people don’t freak out. It would have been easier for them to follow established protocol then to improvise something else. At any rate I expect “Epstein” will be cremated ASAP and against regulation but of course by accident.

      • Myiq2xu™ says:

I can’ blame anyone for questioning the way Jeffrey Epstein died (If he really is dead.) It’s as if the government WANTED people to be suspicious.

  19. Myiq2xu™ says:

I don’t remember if I mentioned this – I’ve been getting bit by something while I am working outside. It’s either fleas, mosquitos, or some of both. The bites that look like flea bites are on my arms and hands, while the ones that look like mosquito bites are on my lower legs. So this weekend I sprayed my entire yard with bug juice. When I was finished I discovered a huge mosquito bite on the back of my leg. Then I got bit again that evening while sitting on the throne and finishing Mom’s crossword puzzle from the paper. As usual, they really started itching when I tried to go to sleep.

My method of treating mosquito bites is to scratch them until they bleed and then apply rubbing alcohol. I’m gonna scratch them until they bleed anyway so I might as well get it over with, and the alcohol is an astringent. Once those bites dry up they quit itching.

None of the OTC stuff does doodly-squat.

    • lateblum says:

Funny, not funny. I haven’t had any bites this summer until I started watering the perennial garden here at my condo. It takes at least an hour of stooping, lugging water, standing in the plants, etc.,etc. Yesterday I was bitten on my hands, my foot and my upper arm. The bites kept on even an hour after I stopped watering and even while visiting someone in their home. When I was finally able to actually look at it it was a circle of bites about 2 inches in diameter. My arm looked like someone had taken a bite. And the bites were like stings, not bites. Also about 10 days ago I was stung on my left wrist. This was also after watering the flowers. The area on my wrist was huge and raised and very hard. Now the swelling has gone down, and the bump is much smaller and hard as concrete. And it has finally stopped itching and hurting. I used caladryl on it. And last night I used caladryl on the stings and bits from yesterday. But I’m not certain what else to used. Or what has been biting me. Or what to do to avoid the stings.

      • lateblum says:

Funny! That’s what I thought, too. I did that on the first bite and the itch and swelling decreased. But the pain did not. And there’s still a bump on my wrist. Now it’s only half an inch wide and still raised a bit. It doesn’t hurt though.

    • swanspirit says:

Mosquitoes are a regular thing, here in the Pines! I use OTC Benadryl cream, for the itch, which is effective for about 4 or 5 hours, and then I have to reapply it. It’s weird, some of the bites are huge, and some are not. I think it might depend on which species of mosquito bites. It’s still miserable. I have bites on my legs, and arms.

    • Cynic says:

For bee, hornet, wasp stings, make a paste using Accent Meat Tenderizer and water, and apply to sting. It has always taken away the pain!

      • lateblum says:

I remember from decades ago that someone told me to use Accent Meat Tenderizer !!
I think when one of my kids got a bee sting. Interestingly, the bees – of which there are many in this garden – don’t pay any attention to me as I water the flowers, shrubs and plants. I think they’d rather spend their time pollinating.
How is your beautiful garden this year?

        • Cynic says:

This Spring, I had a wasp get in my pant leg, and it stung me 3x! I remembered the Accent paste from when my kids were little, and applied it. Pain went away almost immediately.

The bees don’t bother me, and am so glad to see them in my garden, knowing that the honey that I use comes from them!

Due to the fact that we had rain 27 out of 30 days in May, I had to plant all my flowers and veggie garden in the mud. I’m surprised that it has done as well as it has, and I have 14 grocery bags full of cukes to take to our food pantry tomorrow. This will be the 5th time this year that I have dropped off produce.

Lots of swallowtail caterpillars on the dill and fennel (8 on just 1 plant!), and lots of zinnias, so I’m looking forward to all the butterflies….very soon!

          • lateblum says:

What a wonderful thing to look forward to —- the butterflies! There are gardens all over my town to encourage the butterfies and it’s wonderful to walk along the lakefront or even down the street and see butterflies. Send pictures of the garden and the butterflies, too! I think some of the flowers planted in our garden were planted expressly to encourage the butterflies. I didn’t do any of the planting here, but the couple who have take over the planting (from another resident who started it) have done a beautiful job. In the next couple of years, I hope the side of my building will be abloom all summer long. That’s why I keep watering. Hope those butterflies find your garden soon! 🦋🌸🌼🌺🦋

“I will never own a home, start a family, or live debt-free.”
Anyone who borrowed $40k/year for a Masters in Sociology is too stupid to have a home or family. OTH, I think that student debt should qualify to be discharged by bankruptcy but that the College/University should be responsible for 75% of the debt. Currently there is no penalty for schools to admit people who have little chance of graduating and pushing worthless “studies” majors.

      • Constance says:

They need to put a 2% tax on all university endowments per year and put it in a fund to insure loan payoffs so the rest of us don’t have to foot the bill. Just 2 cents of every dollar from really rich schools who should step up and support their students.
