It’s #NationalRelaxationDay Open Thread

It’s #NationalRelaxationDay, so naturally an online woman’s magazine had to give you the opportunity to define nature however you want to identify it. Hope nobody chooses prison.

Me? I’ve got a brand new beach tent and we’re heading out for our first excursion to the Atlantic ocean since we’ve been in Charleston. I’ve been begging to go everyday, but hubby has had a bum knee, so we’ve been waiting for that to heal up. Yes, I could have gone by myself, but I’d just prefer to identify as in love in a new coastal environment.

Enjoy your day at the ocean/beach/shore/ or whatever they call it there. I am officially jealous. I love that area! Hope hubby’s knee is well healed and you are well settled.

      • Woke Lola says:

Thanks. We’re about to head out. 70 SPF day! LOL

      • Somebody says:

Beach, in the south it’s the beach. Are you going to Hilton Head Island Lola? By the by, don’t expect Crystal blue water. Too many rivers washing out to see and the gulf stream is too far off shore

        • Woke Lola says:

Yes, it’s beach. You said you’re close, Somebody. Where are you?

We went to Sullivan Island beach. It was so chill. Love that beach so much!

          • Somebody says:

Close is a relative term, I’m a couple of hours south of you. I’m in Florida, but barely, 1st or 2nd exit on 95 south when you cross into Florida.

How do you like the area so far? The heat will stick around for another 6 weeks or so. When you have to put on a hoodie and heaven forbid closed toed shoes, it’s winter! I’m letting you know that so you don’t miss an entire season 🤣

          • Woke Lola says:

Huh, not a bad drive. We’re going to be taking a Savannah trip soon, hopefully before the end of the year. Do you travel at all? Maybe we could meet up.

I love it so far. It is sweltering, but we’re adapting, The humidity is about the same as the midwest–150% for all of August. Temps are about the same, too. But there are beaches!!! Otherwise, it’s basically the same, but there are local perks. I’m looking forward to being employed so we can feel more comfortable splurging on local attractions.

          • Somebody says:

I was just in Savannah, in fact I flew in and out of there to Philly to see hubby because it cost $265 less. Right now Frontier has $15 fares from there to Philly so American dropped theirs…..$15, you can’t take a cab hardly anywhere for that.

Pro tip, if you do fly out of Savannah take a picture of where you parked. They have multiple garages all linked together. It took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to find my car…..and a lot of 😢

Savannah has a lot of good eats, as does Charleston. Both have lots of history, so much to explore! St. Patrick’s Day is big in Savannah, they dye the river green and everybody gets really drunk. I’ve not been there since it changed, but Myrtle Beach is quite the tourist destination. In the past couple if decades they built a bunch of theaters, think Branson, MO by the sea. To the west straight up 26 is Asheville, NC home to the Biltmore estate, which is gorgeous. From Asheville it’s a hop skip and a jump to TN or any part of Smoky Mountain park. You can pick up the Blue Ridge parkway there and do some leaf peeping in a couple of months, or perhaps find a smaller road less traveled.

Heading south past Savannah are Georgia’s golden isles. Small, but some interesting history, especially Jekyll Island. The southern most island in Ga is Cumberland Island. It’s a national seashore, only accessible by ferry. Wild horses roam the island. Then you cross into FL, Amelia island…..that’s where I am.

All of those places and more are within 1 to maximum 3 hours from you.

Yes I travel, but I’m mostly limited to weekends due to having the grandkids. Maybe we can plan to meet up.

By the way, you’ll be able to enjoy the beaches into October before the water really starts to cool off. After Labor Day you’ll find them far less crowded.

          • Woke Lola says:

            $15???? I’m gobsmacked!

Those are good tips. I can’t believe you live on Amelia Island! That’s on my travel list! The last of the east coast islands, right?

My interview next week is in Georgetown, on the other side of Francis Marion National Forest, so I’m taking hubby with me and we’re planning on visiting either Santee Coastal Reserve or Tom Yawkee wildlife center on the coast up there. It’s all just under 1.5 hours away.

But definitely a meetup is in order! Are we friends on FB yet? Are you on FB? You can email me at peacocksandlilies AT gmail DOT com and I’ll give you my real contact info if you want establish a real life connection.

          • elliesmom says:

I have good friends in Georgetown. It’s a pretty town.

          • Somebody says:

I don’t have FB or Twitter because I know I have trouble controlling my 👄 sometimes and I thought it best to not have either.

I will email you at the address you gave. I actually live just off Amelia Island, used to live on the island but between tax and insurance hikes and hubby’s commute getting longer, we moved. It’s 10 minutes from me though, so not very far 😉

  2. lateblum says:

I guess I picked the wrong day to have the g-babies full time. There will be literally no rest until they go home tonight. Then, maybe.

  3. DandyTIger says:

Doing nothing all day is my superpower! I’m in the zone already.

EDIT: Those are supposed to be evil grins, ftr.

      • DeniseVB says:

EW annoys me more than Hillary these days, don’t get me started on Kamala and Kirsten, the stuff that comes out of their mouths, oy.

        • Constance says:

I can’t stand Kirsten, EW I don’t like but she is driven to be President. She would make an interesting election season. I can’t see her even coming close to President Trump.

          • DeniseVB says:

I just look at their personal and professional accomplishments and go from there. NONE of the Dem2020 candidates pass my test. Obama didn’t. John Edwards did because he did personally and professionally become a self made millionaire up from the boot straps son of a mill worker kind of story, not from public service. That was the last Democrat I supported….

        • John Denney says:

EW really annoyed me when she said, “We are the opposition! That’s our job!”

No. Your job is to uphold and defend the Constitution, which includes the 2nd Amendment, and represent your constituents.

  7. Mothy67 says:

I am not a very empathetic person. Not even a nice person. Truth be told I am kinda of an asshole.
My sister is back from South Carolina. I have to accept my new reality. Sis had a brain tumor and stage 4 lung cancer. Her husband dropped her like a hot potato. She is dependent. I have to constantly take deep breaths and close my eyes. Not the big things. It’s the little things. She is isolated besides me so I have to chat. I have always been very autonomous so it’s difficult taking an adult into consideration. I haven’t barked, but my frustration level is mounting. I am constantly closing my eyes and holding my breath. Her husband is giving her 200 a month and Sam’s Club. He has sizeable income and assets. She is homeless. Took no action against him until Tuesday. I have to go to battle to make sure she does not slip into depression. I am gonna but I don’t wanna.
The brat is entering teens. I was hyped to going back to being a completely self absorbed dick. I don’t even feel a tinge of guilt about not wanting to tend to another human being. I am going to do it and pretend it is no big deal cause that’s what you do.
I take my hat off to those of you who have cared for ailing relatives. Not fun. The real joy is that she is the kid’s grandmother. The tension over a decade of court battles is a real thrill ride. Today they are going school shopping. I was in tears laughing as they asked me to join them. My mom, my sister, and the pup in a department store. I would rather bleed to death by paper cut than shop with the three most challenging women in my life. I think I may get blind drunk while they are out. Relaxation day my arse.

    • Woke Lola says:

I’m so sorry about your sister!

    • Somebody says:

Not by it wasn’t that long ago you thought you might lose her. Truth is none of us know what tomorrow brings.

On the one hand, her being there may be good for your mom. On the other…..she’s pups grandma that passed? That would be difficult, to put it mildly. I probably couldn’t help popping off with some snide comments about family, seeing as obviously you and your mother are there for her.

All that being said, you have a golden opportunity to show a good example to your daughter and believe me she’s watching. First, by helping your sister stand up for herself, you’re teaching Shay a valuable life lesson. Hopefully one she’ll never need, but if and when she does you might not be around.

The second is showing Shay the meaning of family. Showing her no matter what, family is there. I’m sure she has doubts from time to time, hell all kids do. So now is your chance to show her what truly unconditional love is. Doesn’t mean being doormat, but it also doesn’t mean turning your back. Walk the walk buddy and do take time for yourself, that’s important. When you think you’re at a boiling point, stop and ask yourself what kind of example do you want to set for Shay.

This may not be what you want to hear, but you honestly have a golden opportunity. Once kids move into their teen years they tend to tune you out a lot, but they pay attention to what you do. It may not seem like a golden opportunity, but trust me it is.

I certainly never thought taking care of my father and my MIL at the same time, while I also had a new baby and 2 teens was any kind of a golden opportunity. It’s a wonder I’m still sane, OK perhaps that’s a stretch 😉 However, many times over the years my older 2 kids have said things that surprised me. They took in a lot more than I thought and boy did they respect me for walking the walk. BTW, not at the time they were often shits back then, they were teens. Once they were adults though, a lot of that stuck with them in a way me talking to them never could have.

So whether you know it or not, your glass is half full buddy……..and might I suggest topping it off with your favorite alcoholic beverage from time to time as the need arises 😉

      • Somebody says:

        Not by = Now my……..stupid autocorrect 🙄

      • Mothy67 says:

        Thank you.
I know I am fortunate. I love my sister. We are a year apart. I would never turn away from her. It’s been a few years since she started keytruda. She takes a bunch of pills and goes for treatment every few months. It’s nothing like chemo. We go at 8 am and do blood work and when that comes back it’s 45 minutes on an IV watching TV. No sickness afterwards. Drugs have made her put on a lot of weight and her peripheral vision is shit. She can’t cook, but she can take a half hour walk with the dogs twice a day. I took her down to South Carolina to stay with our brother because she and my mom fight. Everyday all day. Over everything. It has always been like that. Casey has married two assholes. The first, Shay’s grandfather, was an abusive idiot who become my counties most wanted. Heroin. Years ago. She remarried a guy who was abusive and moved her during cancer to Florida and then got violent to a woman going through treatment. My dad was not abusive. Have no idea why she is drawn to men she wants to fix.
Anyhow my challenge is keeping my sister from sitting like a lump on a sofa watching tv and eating junk. I am selfish. I admit it. I have to cook and get her to do things. She is pretty healthy. She is not an invalid. She cleans. It’s the dependency. She needs assistance
She is Shaypup’s grandmother. I have chosen to involve talk therapy for brat for years. Her mom was busy cutting herself and her dad is still getting thrown in jail 13 years later. Her mom kept three other kids. No way in hell I was gonna let that haunt or dictate Shay’s life. She texts her mom regularly. They are friends.
I was 39 when there was no one for the twerp. She would have been so neglected. She was criminally neglected. I gave up New York to raise her. I am a gay man living in the boring suburbs. I have no regrets and I am now 52, but I kinda daydream about living my old life again. a life I am too old for. I don’t want to be my sister’s connection to life. I needed to express that. I felt like I needed to express my frustration in order to not let it consume me. I would be lying to myself if I pretended to not be exhausted. I would do anything for my sister. Just wish I didn’t need to.

        • swanspirit says:

I am sorry your sister is fighting the other C word. She is lucky to have such a loving brother. Remember to take care of yourself! You get to have a life, too.

          • Mothy67 says:

            Read down below.
I consider myself so fortunate. I came here and bitched. I have to wake up everyday and deal with my sister who can not cook eggs. She is disabled. I have had her granddaughter for almost 13 years. I have my mom who lost her husband of over 55 years and has no idea how to function. On top of that I have Bella and Gracie. Two dogs terrified by thunder. Female. They come to me when it storms we have a lot of storms. So I deal with 5 women everyday all day. I get exhausted. I spend half a day diffusing fights between my mom and my sister. It’s so not guy stuff. They constantly jab each other. Call me sexist I do not give a royal flying fuck. Women argue differently than men. Women don’t let go.
Anywho. My situation is what it is. I ain’t never walking away from the brat. She is almost my kid. I will deal.
Thing is I cannot express any of this to anyone I know IRL. Imagine saying out loud you want your cancer stricken sister to go away. I am just being honest. I love her and would give my life for her, but I can’t say in suburbia that I’d rather cash in and drink myself to feath on Mykonos than have to play referee with my mom, my sister, and my grandniece. I was tired. I vented here. it helped. I am so less tired. I am also drunk. Why do I always listen to Lulu when I get a buzz?

          • Somebody says:

Almost your kid? No, she’s your kid. Being a parent isn’t determined by DNA or what some court paperwork says. Being a parent is a full time job, a parent is the person that provides for their child, physically and emotionally. Teaches them, protects them, yes disciplines them and loves the unconditionally.

Tim you are all of that for Shay, you are her rock. You’ve been there through the years, you’d lay down your life for her. You’re her father and quite frankly her mother, don’t sell yourself short.

    • blowme0bama says:

Sorry about your Sister. I took care of my Dad about the last 6 weeks before his death. I have to say it was stressful at times, but I think it was probably the best thing I’ll every do in my life. Absolutely golden.

    • Woke Lola says:

Folly Beach, SC is about 13 miles from my apartment. We do like that beach, but it’s usually packed and more of a party beach. We were looking for a sleepy beach experience, so Sullivan’s worked great! It’s so nice to have 4 beaches with 4 different vibes so close. Not to brag or anything. LOL. But half of y’all live in Cali or Florida anyway, so.

      • 49erDweet says:

Yeah. Here in the Salad Bowl we usually have to go to one of our local beaches to warm up.

      • DeniseVB says:

Brag away 😀 I got Virginia Beach covered and Swannie’s got Ocean City. There’s just something about leaving NEAR a beach that’s so soothing knowing it’s there if you need it.

      • elliesmom says:

I have beaches close by in two directions. Go east, and there are crashing waves on open ocean. Go south, and it’s the calm waters of Narragansett Bay. The water is colder up here, but it doesn’t stop us. I taught Elliesdad to boogie board in the surf off Block Island many years ago. Turned Pennsylvania Boy into “Oceanman”.

      • lateblum says:

I may not have the ocean, but I am less than 2 blocks from the lakefront of Lake Michigan. And although we’ve lost some of the actual sand beaches this year due to the rise in the Great Lakes, the wonder of the lake and the horizon where the sun rises each day, and the majestic views of the storms as they cross to the north just never fail to stir my soul. I get to walk along this natural wonder nearly every day. If I want to go to the actual beach, it’s just another block away.❤️

        • elliesmom says:

When I got homesick for the ocean, I used to go to Lake Michigan. It had almost everything I missed about being seaside. I couldn’t put a finger on what it was exactly I was missing until I was back at the ocean, and then I realized it was the salt in the air. The Pacific Ocean is a lot less salty than the Atlantic, and it doesn’t tug at the primal memories I have, either. But I have great memories of walks along the lakefront.

          • lateblum says:

I just got back from my lakefront walk. I’m so grateful I can still do it. Walking along the lakefront was part of my physical therapy following my spinal surgery a couple of years ago.
Glad the memories of walking along the lakefront are good ones.

Democrats want total control over our lives. Fuck ’em.

    • Woke Lola says:

Just a tad bit inaccurate. Deciding whether laws were constitutional was not actually the purpose of the Supreme Court originally. SCOTUS grabbed that power for itself in a lil case called Marbury v Madison. Worth reading about, there’s a fairly simple explanation on Wiki.

      • 1539days says:

Judicial review was bound to happen. The House and Senate hate to make unpopular decisions so they have been ceding more decision-making to the Executive and Judicial branches. The Constitution was in effect for about a decade when Marbury was decided.

Unfortunately, the protections and limitations of the Constitution can be circumvented when members of the three branches are lazy, disinterested or have ulterior motives.

The 2006 midterm was the golden age of political blogging. The Progblogs thought they were the shit, and there was no competition from the pros. When the Democrats won both Houses of Congress the Progs strutted around like they were the reason (forget about the unpopular war). Then Nasty Nancy announced that “Impeachment is off the table” and it was downhill from there.

I remember back in 2000 when Bush talked about how the economy was headed into a recession. The media attacked him and said he was trying to cause one. Teddy Roosevelt is the reason it got built. He encouraged the locals to declare independence from Columbia. We just happened to have a few gunboats in the are when they did. So we recognized them as an independent nation and entered into a mutual-defense treat and a 99-year lease on the land where the canal would be built.

IIRC that’s where the research for modern pesticides started because we needed something to fight the mosquitos. They started by dumping oil into stagnant water to kill mosquito larvae.

I just jacked up my leg pretty good. Something heavy with sharp edges fell over and hit my right leg. It left one long shallow scrape (or three smaller ones) about 9 inches long about 2 inches to the right of the shin between knee and ankle, but closer to the ankle. That is nothing to worry about as long as I take proper care of it. I get a lot of scrapes like that because the skin on my lower legs is like onionskin.

The bad one is directly in front of my ankle, right at the curve where the top of the foot meets the lower leg. It’s a deep triangular gouge and it bled pretty good for a few minutes. I was out working in the yard and I had to wait for the bleeding to slow down before I could come inside.

Mom is asleep already so I did my own first aid and got it bandaged so neatly that it looks almost professional. I’m not gonna go to the emergency room because after a 2-hour wait in the lobby with Who’s Who In Contagious Diseases they’ll just unwrap it. look at it, and rebandage it. I might go to the VA clinic tomorrow and let them check it, otherwise, I’ll just keep an eye on it If it gets infected I’ll hit the ER.

It isn’t nearly as painful as it looks, but I’m sure it will start hurting bad about 2 minutes after I go to bed. The Pain Fairy prefers my undivided attention so she doesn’t bug me when I’m busy. The Itch Fairy is the same way.

    • DandyTIger says:

Yikes. I hate when nasty things like that happen. Last one of those for me was during sawing some limbs from a few trees. I somehow slipped and kind of sawed into my arm a bit. Walked into the ER with the waiting room packed. The have you fill out a small form about your problem and then sit down. I wrote “sawed my arm”. I was the next person called. Apparently sawing part of your own body is a ticket to skip the line in the ER. 🙂

    • DeniseVB says:

I’ll let our medical professionals weigh in, but sounds like you took care of it pretty well. I know you’re diabetic, so please keep an eye on it, check with our TCH family doctor WebMD. They’re pretty good at telling you to rush your ass to the ER (fever, vomiting, sh*tting blood, etc). That’s how I found out I only had bruised ribs (not broken) and a bruised tail bone (not broken). Don’t ask 😛

    • Mothy67 says:

I hope you have it looked at tomorrow. Please don’t play with diabetes and lower extremity injuries. Does the VA not permit you to go to an urgent care center? Seems that would be more cost efficient than an ER visit.

I can do a walk-in at the local VA clinic in the morning.

Seriously dude take a moment and reflect about what you have provided here! I vented about my sick sister today. I was hardly going to tell the people around me that I resent taking care of someone I love. I’d be judged instead of being allowed to say I am tired.
I have learned so much here from so many over the years. It brought me happiness to think that when Helen was contemplating her daughters after a bad marriage and I was able to say to her that her granddaughter would not be outside her apartment with a surprise lunch date if he children did not appreciate her. ouch klown!!!
promise you’ll go to the clinic tomorrow

    • helenk3 says:

please go tomorrow. There are a lot of people here that care about you and want you well

    • Anthony says:

Ouch! Might be a good idea to change the bandage before bed and use peroxide and neosporin to keep it clean. Go tomorrow no matter how much better it might feel. Keep us posted, we love you (no homo)

    • lateblum says:

Oh no, klown. It sounds as though you took good care of it, but with your med history you should definitely get yourself either to urgent care or the VA clinic first thing tomorrow.
You can tell just how important you are to all of us when everyone sends love and the same advice. (With urgency) 💕

My BIL gouged his leg once on his boat, decided to “tough” it out. It became infected and he had an awful time with it, had to stay off of it for awhile. Took a long time to heal and some messy times at the doctor’s. And he isn’t diabetic. Get thee to a doctor and have it checked out. Please.

    • blowme0bama says:

With the diabetes, go get it checked. Otherwise I’d do like you and say F it.

My favorite band ever is Led Zep, but I have this incredibly pathetic love for really cheesy songs.
I am so grateful for all you people. Was not easy being a middle aged gay man living with his parents raising a baby girl in suburbia. Gee. So much fun.
This popped in my head. I love country and Olivia, but her dancing seals the deal.

  26. Mothy67 says:

I mentioned Good Country People by Flannery O’Connor before and I am curious as to whether any of you have read it. I gather O’Connor is not a comfortable read for many people.
I love her writing. It’s a short story in a Good Man is Hard to Find. I find it so spot on in the age of the progressive. it was written in 1955 by a woman who suffered systemic pain. It’s not a morality tale. More of screwing over of a better. There is a an obvious rape metaphor. Loads of Christianity. Hulga is the face of the new dims. Angry and blinded.
O’Connor is so much more than I can express. I think this is a free link to the story
Donating 25 to St. Judes because I am drunk and think one of you may read it.
Yep. I am a wee bit blotto.

    • lyn says:

      Love O’Connor’s stories.

      • Mothy67 says:

Have you read Good Country People???? She is an elitist angry woman who has studied philosophy. Has a peg leg. Changes her name to Rachel Maddow——-+- oops i meant Hulga because she wanted to assault everyone and share . in misery. She is so smart. Loves her anger. A bible boy salesman comes along and seduces her. She is left on a rooftop without her leg after sex. Who was dumb?
Good Country People can be read free on pdf.
I did 25 to Saint Judes hoping 5 of you will download the free Pdf of Good Country People or check out a Good Man is Hard to Find from the library.

WTH? Thousands of Supporters Locked Out of Trump Rally as Hundreds of Empty Seats in New Hampshire Arena Went Unfilled

In this thread, I read the fire marshall called capacity long before it was filled. Sounds like he still set a record for the venue 🙂 Biden held a rally down the street and 30 showed up.

    This is great!!!

One huge assed smile adorned my face this morn. I knock on baby girl’s door several times a day. I always ask if she wants to chat. She yells no get out and mumbles that I am so annoying. I part with well if you wanna chat text me. She is up baking into the wee hours before school starts. She loves the quiet alone time to make things.
Gracie the run away beagle got on her desk the other night and knocked a bottle of water on her keyboard. I get the 4 a.m. Wake up. She never knocks if its urgent. I kind of like that as it tells me she understands that our boundaries arenot set in stone. She needs me- barrel on in. Well she has a Mac. Keyboard is 140. We turned it over and applied paper towels. It is fine, but there was no way I wasn’t replacing a keyboard for school. I almost never say no and the keyboard would not have been her fault. Plus it’s needed for school. Yet she took ownership of the event. I always knock and pause every morning. I look in to make sure she is okay. She is still only 12. Her room was redone over night by herself. The desk and computer are on the opposite side of the room. She lugged up to her room a book shelf from the basement which she converted into a a shoe holder. She is highly creative and never a victim. She did all this overnight by herself. She didn’t screech about how unfair it was that a puppy almost ended a 2300 dollar computer. She corrected the issue.
When her ear pods were stolen her tears were about disappointing me not about her loss. I heard TT I am so sorry. Yeah like as if I have yelled at her.
My SIL went on a tirade about how it was absurd I bought her what was then 199 dollar ear buds (now 150). I am a terrible caregiver. She got straight A’s. I don’t give ten dollars a quarter. Her grades are her job. She gets no bonus during the year for that. I gave her something extra at the end of the year. Not a compensation but an acknowledgement. My SIL who is a medium six figure tool was appalled. Yet she and my brother took Shay and two friends to a movie and dinner for her grades. I spent 199 on ear buds which is actually a physical thing with resale value. They went as a party of five to luxury theater to see a movie that will be on netflix or cable in three months. 12. a ticket. Plus popcorn and soda. And they had dinner at Olive Garden. They spent almost as much, but somehow my expenditure is gratuitous. i 100% believe in who not what she is. An over priced ear bud is a token like a bracelet or charm.
Kid is being raised not by a great gay uncle, but by her great gay uncle. A great gay uncle raising a sports star who had multiple open heart surgeries. Few kids were ever as sick as me. We are writing our own story. She should be a puddle. Welfare baby. Taylon will only go to math events if “Tits” goes. I have known Tay since he was 4. He is the closest thing to a math genius I have ever met. Shay holds her own but she is not a prodigy. He refers to her breasts. She is not at all upset. She won that lottery. Tiny waist, dancer’s caboose, big cups, and a brain. She reminds me of Cheryl Ladd. Shay has zero issue with her boys that she has known since pre-k commenting on her being a tall glass of water. She is 5’5. Middle school teachers are another story. They are always looking for offense. It’s just boys. I know them all. On the other hand we had (closed this year) a pool. Fucking freaks from the middle east. Old men sit on the hill outside of the pool smoking and staring at young girls in the pool!!!!!!!!. There is no smoking in the park. Yuuuuge signs that have a cig, a circle and a line drawn through it. They get a pass. Grown men staring at girl’s in bathing suits, but the borough wants to tell me that Shay will be emotionally devestated because boys in her grade realize she has breasts.
It is insane. A 13 year old white or asian boy cannot make a joke, but a grown man can ogle my kid for hours at the pool. I am islamaphobic if I take offense. Sorry no.
The school also thinks they can educate about sex. How about maybe talking to parents first. I was seventeen when my sister knocked on my door. She was 16. ” I feel like i have to go to the bathroom but when I tried I saw the babies head. ” Fuck. She gave birth then and there. Not something you forget. Birth is not pretty.
My mom was 15. My sister 16. Brat’s mom 18. I try and make Shay aware. It’s my job. I get sent to the grocers by her when Aunt Flow visits. we use face time to buy period stuff. She is not ashamed nor am I. I have zero idea what to buy i show her pics and she selects. Good God there was a time not so long ago when a guy would be mortified to purchase tampons. How absurd!I
Twenty-five years ago in Manhattan I had a dear friend who was a coach a personal trainer at Reebok. She was hispanic. Stunning. She could not buy condems for hersrlf. 1999 in NYC a grown woman was ashamed to buy a rubber. I would get them for her. Try walking into a deli at 2 a.m. as a single hot woman and buying condems. Uh no. Clue it wasn’t straight white men making it impossible for a woman to buy trojans at 3 a.m.
I was so shocked about the HPV vaccine. It assumes high sexual activity amongst girls at or near age 12. The studies are insane. I read quite a few. My brat has had a boyfriend since my dad died. I get it. They are not active. One day she will decide. A high school boyfriend also making his first trip is not going to expose her to hundreds of STDs.
HPV vaccination might be warranted at 18. 12??????? Read the stuff. I am going to let Shayla decide at 16.

That was not the whole thread, but it was a goodie. Bunny keeps getting piled on whenever she tweets. I think she’s still a NeverTrumper, but there are no other options, even on the GOP side. She gets that now 🙂

We stopped following one another but until yesterday he stayed off my radar. Then some joke I made about Walsh on CNN got me screenshotted by Landis, and then Bill started screeching about how I’m an old crazy woman making up stories about pedophiles rings.
        Not even kidding.
        Carl Gustav @CaptYonah
Wow. He went off the deep end right along with RB and so many others. Even tho Bill was probably rage-drunk tweeting long before Trump came along.
        The🐰FOO @PolitiBunny
They’ve been after me since I didn’t crumble when Trump won so I wasn’t surprised by the hate – just the lies and obvious smears. That was an attempt to hurt me on a personal level that was just something I didn’t expect.
        Carl Gustav @CaptYonah
I remember when they went after your job, forgot who was behind that one. All for just tweeting.
        The🐰FOO @PolitiBunny
        Trump supporters did that.
And then the alt-right went after my family.
But you know, I’m an old crazy woman making up stories about pedophile rings.
He’s a miserable asshole who did finally block me. Like the others.
